    Run from this store. I've been a customer since 1993. This store sold me a phone that was defective. Sent me to the apple store to get the issue fixed. I just wanted to return the phone. Went to the apple store and they restored the phone to original settings. Went back to ATT to return the phone, and they charged me $45 for restocking the defective phone that they sold me. Are you kidding me! RUN! Do NOT do business with this store. 15 min at Verizon around the corner. Waived my activation fee, I am up and running with a brand new phone. F-U ATT, you suck!! Phone at Verizon is up and running as I write this review.

    Empty store with all the employees playing with their phones instead of helping me upgrade my phone.

No matter the location, they're never easy to access. The stores are always jam packed full. And there's not a single staff member that is easy to get a hold of. They're either non-existent, busy talking to other customers, or chatting with each other. Or you finally speak to an employee but they add you to a waitlist or have to find someone else to help you. Theoretically you can book an appointment, but what's the point of having an open store if everything needs an appointment? You can't just pick up a product and go buy it at a cashier. I think their stores were very innovative when they first opened, but they haven't scaled with the popularity of the iPhone. Instead of buying at Apple, I'm planning to go to Costco or Best Buy for a slightly better purchasing experience.

The next day, I brought in my old MacBook to erase the data, and that's when I met Jenna. She was amazing! Even though I wasn't buying anything, she treated me like a valued customer. Jenna helped me erase the data, made sure everything was taken care of, and truly went above and beyond. She even helped remove the case and offered to clean it. She was kind, patient, and genuinely caring. Jenna made me feel so welcomed--it turned a simple visit into the best experience I've ever had at an Apple Store. Big 5 stars because of her!!

What left me completely frustrated was their inability to communicate in what seems like the minimum for retail phone repair. I took my Pixel 9 to UBreakIfix as it's Google's repair partner. The tech who worked the desk checked TWICE with someone in the back to verify the warranty coverage on my phone's screen, assured me it was covered, produced an estimate receipt with the number $0 as my price and sent me away. Two hours later I get a voicemail with a mumbly messsage about how it wasn't covered by warranty and something.. something on Google's end, and the call ended abruptly. When I called back and I asked if there was anything due, they told me I was on the hook for the $240 replacement cost. I was told they checked with Google AFTER they had completed the repair and was denied warranty coverage. The option offered to me was that they could undo the repair and "I could try my luck with Google's mail-in repair warranty service..." Seems like someone monkeying inside my phone multiple times would definitely affect my chances of getting it covered, so no. Plus the loss of my phone for however long it took Google to mail it back. So I paid my bill and left. I don't know why they denied coverage and UBreakIFix wouldn't tell me, so I guess it doesn't matter. But when your auto mechanic is knee-deep in a transmission replacement and he finds out it's going to be $2000 more dollars to put it all back together. HE GETS ON THE PHONE TO THE CUSTOMER before reassembling the transmission. This is a minimum level of retail communication, not "We can take your transmission back out if that would work better for you."

For the past month and a half, I've…read morebeen trying to use this company because Google has an issue with their Pixel phone, and the recall fix--replacing a battery--is assigned to this company. I've made appointments and shown up on time three different times over this period, yet my phone still isn't fixed. Each time, they were missing one or both of the required parts for the recall. They had my phone number and appointment on file, but they never called me in advance to let me know they didn't have the parts. Not only was I disappointed, but it seemed everyone in line had a similar problem. During my three visits to their Washington Square location, I never once saw a single person get helped with any issue. I have never encountered such an inept group of people running a store. They were full of excuses for every situation. I watched nothing but people walk in, only to be told they couldn't be helped and leave frustrated. I wish I could say my story was the worst. The man next to me yesterday said he'd been trying to get help there for over six weeks--I'm only three weeks into this ordeal.

I'd spent years stuck with that crap carrier due to my ex being a first responder, so he had to be on THAT network. But my GOD I had so many BAD experiences there. I stopped in because my previous carrier experience was so bad that I do NOT trust that anything is done right or the first time. I had been in about a week prior because I bought a new iphone at Apple and needed it activated. And my # had been suspended because I'm a FUN person and drank too much Tequila, flipped our kayak at Lost Lake and lost two iphones. Yes ma'am two. Not just one. HA!! Well not only was what I asked done the first time but it's SO easy to get help there it's weird to me. I got so used to the awful service and experience I had that it's hard to believe you CAN in fact get good service. Just follow the magenta. It's my favorite color anyway. Maybe that says something. I do LOVE T-Mobile!

To solve this they recommended I cancel my order and they would resubmit it for me. When I voiced hesitancy to do so because I was worried about my upgrade credit they dismissed me and ensured me it would be okay. When they talked me into canceling my order, no surprise my upgrade credit was gone. They were unable to get the credit back, and had no solutions. I also lost the 40 dollar activation cost I prepaid for online. They told me to come back today to fix it. After watching my Verizon app all day it does not appear my activation fee has been refunded and my upgrade credit is still unavailable. I did not realize a store could mishandle a simple in store pick up so easily.

The Plan allowed to trade in any device for a 1000 dollar credit over 3 years. These associates "unknowingly till months down the road" grandfathered me to some OLD PLAN on one of the lines to pay 80 Dollars "just for two years" on a Verizon Unlimited + plan... I now have 4 lines under my account the total should be 45 a line + phone charge. Instead it's 45 for the 3 and 80 for this one line. Represetiuvies suck and can't do anything so stuck paying almost 2x on this line. Take your business elsewhere and check your emails if you apply with Verizon. This has been the worst company I have had to deal with and would rather go to Xfinity Mobile or other 3rd party's that use major towers. Hope this place shuts down.

At an official Apple Store they discovered "panic codes" coming up repeatedly which meant the phone would inevitably be unusable very soon. It would not stay on and continued to restart and get hot. The price difference for a screen replacement from this place was $260 compared to $315 at the Apple Store but if this happens to your phone it will void the warranty and you'll be out of a phone and need to spend way more to get a new one. Do not go here. Period. He also tried to get me to pay in just cash and when I came back and said I could only do card he magically was able to run the card at that point. I pre-pay and go on my way. Day 2, I show up around 4pm, wanting to give them some extra time for a potential late shipment. The guy at the counter just sorta shrugs and says oh, ya it's not here. Sorry. Maybe tomorrow. now this is a 45 minute drive each way for me, so I'm not super thrilled. A simple call, or text would have saved me 1.5 hours of driving and a lot of headaches, but that would apparently be too much effort for this guy. Day 3, I wait a few days, wanting to give them the most time possible to receive the shipment. I show up at the time they open and the guy just looks at me, shrugs, and says "oh ya sorry our tech isn't here today. come back tonight maybe. Again, no call, no message, no service, just 1.5 hours of my time, gas, and headache. Day 4, I am finally able to get my phone fixed. This was a full week of nonsense, 6 hours of total drive time, traffic, gas, going to a mall etc. I could have bought a new phone for this much headache. These guys are absolutely terrible, cannot recommend.

He sounded so disappointed I wasn't into buying, I mention the 8GB GTX 3070 I have and some high latency DDR4. He just sticks to the ram and says he doesn't buy it, then I reiterated the 3070-- you could tell he perked up. "Oh! You have a 3070?!" I tell him, "Yes, that is what I said." I ask his going rate, he just wants me to throw out a number-- mind you, I had no idea this is the owner (apparently). I ask again, his rate-- he wants to tell me that before he can offer he has to run tests and the tests could in fact take days. Days?! Now, I've ran a shop like this before. I have a background in CIS. I know the tests necessary, a benchmark, a processing overview to check for spikes-- simple things. Never takes, DAYS. I ask, "When was the last time you bought a 3070?" He replied, "a few days ago." I ask him how much he gave, he told me, "100 bucks." I admittedly scoff, I wanted more like 225, I ask him to meet me in the middle at 150. He wants to tell me more about his tests. I inquire further on these, "tests." He is now coping a attitude, wants to let me know he is the owner and at this point he isn't interested and he wouldn't be, "dropping the things he needs to do to run a business." Well, I'll tell ya what, I wouldn't want to shop at a place like this and though I wouldn't be still willing to sell to them-- nah, nah.. Not with that attitude and such a pretentious way to talk to potential customers. Shoppers be warned, and I'd recommend if you go to buy-- ask to test products for a couple of days before paying.

I have almost never had a good experience actually going in to a cricket store - but even fewer good experiences over the phone or online... Whew... Feels good to let it out. And that being said... I found I needed to actually go in to a service center so I found one near where I was going to be this morning. There is usually someone in line, and if not, they somehow find a way to make you wait anyhow. So let it be here. The guy at the desk was calm, and able to deal with more than one customer. That sums up the positives. I went in to split my account from my exes. I tried this over the phone a few weeks ago and was told that I would have to pay for that month twice to reactivate both phones since the bill had already been paid. I think not. So I went in today - on the day my bill is due. The guy calls customer service and they tell him the same thing, I have to pay the bill first and then they can split the phones and I will have to pay for one of them twice.You are shitting me! NOPE. There is only ONE day in the billing cycle where Cricket can split the accounts without double billing me and assuring I get both same numbers. So you see my point... cricket sucks. Am I frustrated? Yes! Am I a handful? yes! Do I have every right to be upset over the ridiculous practices, the inconvenience, the time suck, the fact that no one told me this when I called them on the phone or the fact that I couldnt have done it yesterday because it was New Years Day? YES YES YES! So when I show that frustration, when I get upset, when I raise my voice a bit because I am upset; because I am slightly bipolar (look at the sparkly stuff!); because I am led by my emotions... you are undoubtedly a little put off. But your job is customer service. Trying to calm me is one thing, reacting because my understandable frustration is making you uncomfortable, is not. Try EMPATHY. It will go a lot further. It would be lovely if all your customers had big smiles on their faces and songs in their hearts - but that just isnt the way life works. And I bet if Cricket handled itself like a professional company who gave a shit, their customers would be more likely to smile and sing. But until that time, you show me respect and empathy and I will be far likelier to do the same for you.

    Decided to go into a store to open my new account after my spouse had received no response…read moreregarding an online order. I received very good and friendly service from the new employee. My account was set up and I was happy. My issues began when I got home and logged on to my new account online. I discovered that, although I had only paid for my chosen plan at the store, my account was set up on the highest costing plan. I changed that myself right away, in addition to setting up my AutoPay. When I went to turn on my PIN security however, I found that I was unable to set up my PIN, so I contacted customer support via web chat. They asked me for my PIN and security answer. I told them I did not have one, as I had just returned from the store about 15 minutes prior to starting the current support chat session. The support person said that it was set up and they could see the answers. Fully confused, I asked if I had to go back to the store, to which the support person answered affirmatively. I returned to the store and found the same salesperson, who happily gave me my PIN and security question answer, and explained that it was store policy to do that on all setups so that everyone could have access to their accounts. This doesn't sit right with me. After returning home, I logged on again to change my PIN and security question. I found that customers are unable to change the PIN and security question on their own. Unbeknownst to me, because I was never told to choose my PIN and security question, these are set up at the time of activation. (If you order online, you are prompted for this information before your order is submitted.) I had to do a web chat with customer support and have them do it. You can also go into a store, where your I.D. is checked and they might help you reset it, but since this particular store takes it upon themselves to decide what your personal PIN and security question is in the first place, well, I wasn't about to trust them to reset my information and not make a record of it for their possible future manipulations of my account. To be clear, anyone who has your number, PIN, and security question answer can go in at any time and change your plan (to a higher priced plan) without your knowledge or consent. If you're like most folks, you won't check your account until the payment is deducted the next month, and by that time, there are no refunds because it looks like you're the one who made the change. Both the PIN and security questions to very non-secure, generic, and easy-to-guess settings by this store, so if you got your phone or SIM activated here and don't know what your settings are, you're taking a chance with your phone plan security. Just a heads-up.
