I ended up waiting only 1 minute before being approached by Benjamin. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. He helped me upgrade my iphone 13 pro to a iphone 17 pro. I've had this phone for 7 years. He looked up my plan and customized my order to what I wanted (silver, 512gb, keep my old phone). He looked up any promos and ways to bring down my total monthly bill. He had me sign some papers electronically, and I was out the door within 40 minutes. I synced my phone myself at home. What an absolute nightmare trying to merge accounts. My partner has Verizon, I have AT&T, and we wanted to combine under one Verizon account. The process was a strategic mess--and to make it worse, it had to be done on a weekday?? Seriously? They gave us a "quote" of about $412, but it wasn't even a real quote. Everything depended on us jumping through hoops after signing. So the rep says, "Don't worry, after you do X, Y, and Z, it'll magically go down to $312." Why not just build a system that calculates the real total upfront? Instead, we get a handwritten, incorrectly calculated estimate full of vague promises. It felt shady, confusing, and totally unnecessary. Then there's the 36-month credit deal on phones. Yikes. Locking people into nearly three years for a discount is not customer-friendly. In the end, I stayed with AT&T--and it was the best choice. I did two trade-ins and got two brand-new phones, plus another new phone just for porting over. My FirstNet plan still covers four lines and two Apple Watches for well under $200/month. Smooth, clear, and no games. Very unfortunate experience with Verizon--but honestly, it worked out in my favor. One star for wasting my time. read more

His customer service was truly above and beyond--he was knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. As we patiently stood by and the sales agent try to connect our watches to service- After 45 minutes- I asked the rotund white tattooed man how much longer he thought it would take. he said in a very apathetic voice, "it will take as long as it takes" When I complain to the manager Michelle, she completely went off. She said "he is trying to help you and you are being rude!" This was the queue that the apathetic sales associate was waiting for from his apathetic manager. He said a loud voice "OK I am now refusing service" and pushed the devices away from him on the table. I went home and called Verizon tech-support. I went to the Verizon store on Hazelfern a few days ago and the employee at the front desk made an appointment for me to show up today. When I arrived for my appointment, Drew, the manager, was very unpleasant, and curt; he told me that the store does not handle technical questions. I explained that a few days earlier, one of his employees scheduled the appointment to answer a technical question. That made him even madder, and he was even less pleasant. Considering that I was only showing up because a Verizon employee told me to do so, I did not deserve such poor treatment. I recommend going to a different Verizon store in the hopes that my experience is related to terrible management at the Hazelfern location. read more

The employees at Bridgeport Verizon are not trained to handle a Lifetime Warranty replacement for the Zagg Screen Protector they pushed on me during purchase. After owning the phone two years, I dropped my phone and the screen broke. Three employees could not help their "Valued Customer ". I had to wait 45 minutes for a Manager to come out of a meeting in the back room to quickly take care of the simple problem. She walked me through the replacement process. The first girl that helped me when I entered the store told me if I did not register the screen protector that I was out of luck! I was never instructed to have to register the screen protector. Verizon had my receipt of purchase. It's like a power thing with customer service anymore. Thank you to the Manager that took care of the Lifetime Warranty Replacement I was due. More training and relationship building with customers is needed to remind employees why they have a job with Verizon. I cannot believe I fell for their lies again. Signage states $25 month for internet. Come in and EXPLICITLY ask if there are start up fees or equipment rental fees, I am told no. I also ask IF I DONT HAVE VERIZON AS A CELL CARRIER IS IT GOING TO INTERFERE WITH MY ABILITY FOR INTERNET. He tells me no. Not only am i 3 weeks in with no ability to create a verizon account because SURPRISE i have to have a verizon password OR WAIT VIA PAPER MAIL FOR A PASSWORD but also my first bill (due tomorrow lol it hasnt even been 28 days) is for $60 because of ....startup fees! Can these people enter this decade and help make an account over the phone? They have no problem verifying your social but they simply cant make you a password lol. The added cherry to all this is that you HAVE to use the verizon app to pay the bill unless you wanna go in the store. Cant just go to the website. These people have my social and they better not ding my credit due to their incompetence. How are these people even still in business? Isnt ANY of this illegal? I just left the Verizon Bridgeport store a happy camper because my mobile phone problems have been finally solved after several trips to the store where my mobile phone issues were addressed but not resolved. Today, I reached my breaking point when my mobile service abated rendering the phone useless. Luckily, I was helped by Ammarra, a young, efficient, smart and focused problem solver. She methodically approached the problems, appeased my anxiety, asked appropriate questions, and worked with the technical support to fixed the issues. What others could not do in two visits, she did it the same day with less time. She restored my confidence in Verizon. I just want to make sure management is aware of such a valuable employee who not only is technically proficient but has the mannerism to calm and give the customer confidence. p.s. I went into this Verizon store to finally get an upgrade. My phone was dated, I have been not reaching all messages/calls from family and friends. As I walked in, they placed me on a waiting list. It wasn't that long of a wait. The rep sold me on the apple pro. As we were setting up, he told me there is a to set up and transfer. I couldn't believe they charged for this but agreed. During the data transfer they told me that its far enough now and I can go but I must keep my phones together. I figured, after transfer, I would be good. Big Mistake! I had a 2 hour after leaving the store data transfer and had to set up my apple watch on top of everything else. Don't recommend services and charging for it if you can't commit to completing such services when you rush people out the door. read more

I'm a long-time customer of Verizon, nearly a decade and my only carrier as an "adult" with my own bills. Their service is by far the best, and generally the customer service is the absolute best, which is why I don't mind paying extra for their service. I know if I have an issue here or in New York, and everywhere in between, that I will have my problem solved in an expedient manner. My purchase in May of this year, though, left a lot to be desired. My old phone, unfortunately, broke and I needed to get a new phone. I purchased an iPhone 12 Pro Max- great phone, by the way, but would have been better if I could have used it right away. I don't know if it is the 5G transition, but it took TWO days to get my phone up and running. Apparently the SIM I got with my phone didn't work, which necessitated me going back to the store in Tigard. Got a new SIM, but apparently that one didn't work too? Honestly, the employees were pissing me off by treating me as an inconvenience, especially since I needed my phone for work. They gave an air of "don't care" and "due to these unprecedented times..." blah blah blah. I got much superior service with their customer service line, which I honestly should have started with. The negative review is for the staff at this location- I've had good customer service at physical locations, but for your sake, please avoid this one. I went in for a simple upgrade and some new accessories. I asked them to bill the new accessories and upgrade to my next month bill. Over the next week I kept getting texts from the sales rep saying my order didn't process, and they would constantly turn my phone off without letting me know and I would spend hours trying to get my phone re-activated. This happened 4-5 times. I finally let them know that my new bill came and everything went through. Fast forward a month and my new bill is out and I'm being charged for my upgrade and accessories again. Called customer service and they tell me that the sales rep did 2 separate orders a week apart. As she was leaving to head to the Apple store I told her not to feel bad, she will be happy with the help she will receive over there. They are always very professional. This guy was condescending and rude. He said to her, " You don't know the passcode? Ugh! (Eye roll) Can you guess? Are you sure? Well I can't help you." I almost walked out but I had a problem I wanted help with, and Mitchell was the associate that helped me. He was great! Very helpful and great attitude. Just to be told the reason I might not be able to make calls is because of the family add on still being on and only the account holder can remove that. I got my refund for the new phone I bought but of course it has to come in a check made out to the account holder. We will see if removing the family add on works, but as of right now I'm really angry at Verizon as a whole. I have a phone that doesn't even take or make calls. Basically a glorified iPod. For the amount of time I spent in the store and the fact that the MANAGER knew that this was the issue in the first place I feel like I deserve a significant amount off my next phone or our bill if we choose to stay with Verizon. If I could give a zero I would. This was the most frustrating, pull-out-your-hair, horrifying retail experience of my life. I called ahead of time to "make an appointment" yet when I arrived, I was told I had to check in and there would be a wait of 20 minutes. In retrospect, maybe I should have asked more questions about the situation in the store, but I took the salesperson at his word and waited outside for a text that never came. After nearly 30 minutes, I wandered back into the shop to see what was going on. "Your next up" was the curt response I got. So I decided to wait inside, as many other people had walked into the store while I was waiting, and I didn't want to miss my turn. After surveying the situation for another 10 or so minutes, I realized, to my absolute horror, that there was ONE PERSON working in this huge store full of customers. The single sales associate had been helping the SAME CUSTOMER since I had arrived. I began to fume. I could not believe that the "greeter" or whatever neglected to tell me that there was only one person helping customers. Should I have asked specifically?! Why would I do that? Why on earth, on a holiday weekend, would this store have one g-d employee working, who clearly was taking her sweet time helping one customer while about 15 others had to stand around waiting. At this point, it was too late to leave and go to another store. I mean, he said 20 minutes, and it had been well over 45 at this point, so I had to assume my turn was coming very soon, right? I mean, WHY WOULDN'T THIS IDIOT TELL ME THAT HE WAS UNSURE OF HOW LONG THE WAIT WOULD BE???? What kind of business is run this way? Couple weeks ago I purchased Apple Watch 4 with JD at this Verizon location. They were out of stock and ordered for me online and had it delivered. Kudos to JD for making it painless. I received the Apple 4 watch last week and set it up to be paired with my apple 7 phone. I noticed that the watch kept dropping the WiFi in my house and my work even though other devices were working fine. I searched apple forums regarding this matter and it stated to reset the watch. I did and it didn't fix the issue. Instead of wasting time I wanted to try out the music portion of setting up my watch to my Bose headphones, listen to some music directly from my watch. I was unaware that you needed Apple Music to have this feature. I did more research regarding if you didn't want Apple Music, what your options are and Apple suggested downloading Spotify. I proceeded to download and try to use Spotify. Spotify would not work through the watch, the watch would become a remote to play music on iPhone. I spent total of 5 hours resetting and researching before deciding to take watch back to Verizon store. I knew potentially that there could be a restocking fee of $50 if I did return it. But I have never returned an Apple product. I thought they would waive this fee or help me on maybe getting another watch. NOPE that didn't happen. The gentleman that helped me asked me why I was returning and gave him the details above. He gave me a few suggestions but never asked if I wanted to get another watch. He said sorry that this watch was causing me problems but wasn't going to waive the restocking fee. I paid 50 dollars to rent an Apple Watch for the weekend. I have been a customer of Verizon over 15 years. Apple user over 10 years. I would like to have a manager review and contact me. I wish I could get some sort of frequent buyer discount at this store. In the past week, I've selected and walked out the door with four devices at this location. And I have more purchases in the queue for other family members soon. Each visit started with a walk-in where you check-in to get in line for the next employee available. My wait time over the course of three visits on weekdays and weekends, morning and afternoon has been between five and fifteen minutes. The predictions from the greeter were always accurate, so when I have a longer wait, I just grab a coffee from the nearby Starbucks or Peet's at Bridgeport. As soon as Verizon offered iPhones, I switched from AT&T to Verizon and have been a happy Verizon customer for about three years. My latest purchases were to replace my 4s with the 5s and to also upgrade my parents from their ancient devices to the iPhone 5c. They had most, but not all, of the memory and color configurations in stock. My experience widely varied with three employees. Two were upgrade sales. The other visit was when my first 5s had a mechanical failure and after trouble shooting the system in the store, I was given a replacement phone (under the standard warranty) at no additional charge. That employee, who is normally in a Portland store, but was helping out at this location, was excellent. The first employee who sold me the 5s was fine and the one we met to upgrade my parents to new iPhones had a sales technique much closer to a car salesman. There was tons of upselling and offering options (everything from data plans to changing their home phone and internet to Verizon) even when it was clear we were not interested. I was happy I went with my parents, because all of that information and a bit of pressure can be overwhelming, especially to those that are a bit non-technical and much of the information is new. One nice thing I wasn't aware of before is that this location offers free iPhone seminars every Sunday at 8:00a for about 90 minutes. This is a really nice service for customers that are new to iPhones so they can get the most out of their device. read more

I was super nervous to visit this Verizon given the other reviews, but my experience today went rather smoothly! When my dad and I first arrived around 3:45 pm we were greeted by a nice lady who checked us in and informed us that it would be about a 45 minute wait, which was unfortunate but expected given what other reviewers had said. The wait ended up being about 30 minutes only and when we got into the store there was a rep ready to help us! The rep, Chaunce, was extremely helpful, laid out all of my dad's options and had us out of there in less than 20 minutes. Overall, the whole experience was brief for a cellphone buying experience, but Chaunce took the time to answer all of our questions. We left very satisfied! read more

Pathetic! My family recently switched our cell service to Verizon after 10 years with another carrier. The salespeople here provided the most worthless service ever, they were not helpful, they were not polite, and they were not interested in problem solving. Instead of being grateful they were taking other carriers' contracts, they refused to help us switch our numbers from our SIM cards to our new phones. Even though we bought our phones that day, and even though we signed up for some of their more expensive services and devices, they could have cared less... If the cellular service was not better I would have returned the phone to them immediately. I lost my phone, went in with the receipt, box, and a current bill. For some reason, even though I had purchased the phone from that very store 3 months earlier my name was not on the account, and they said they couldn't help me. I asked repeatedly what I could do to get help, and they just kept saying "we cant help you". The names that they had listed on the account were not familiar to me, and after calling my husband who was out of town, we discovered that Verizon had linked my personal phone to a national account that has the same name as our business. No matter that I had that number for 10 years, some guy in Texas now owned that number, even though I had the bill with our business and our address on it. Needless to say, we had to jump through hoops to get the number released to us, even though it was Verizon's error. They never would tell us who authorized my number to get changed to the national account, and there was never any explanation or effort on their part to make it right. In April of this year I purchased a new smartphone. I stated at the time I wanted one that would take good pictures. The salesperson sold me a phone that takes the worst pictures I have ever seen. I had an old "flip phone" that took better pictures. On Friday, August 25th I went back to the store with my complaint and was told I would have to pay an additional $200 out of pocket to have a phone that will take pictures inside. After being a Verizon customer for more than 20 years I will not be renewing my contract with them due to the incompetence and/or dishonesty of the sales people. What do you do when your ONLY phone dies on a Major American Holiday, you don't have anyone's number memorized, and you have a busy social schedule planned? 1 - You look up your free My Verizon backed-up phone numbers using a friend's phone, and then use the same phone to call Mom ( to let her know, to let the family that is all together in another state know, that you are fine, and to wish them a very merry. 2 - try to activate one of your old phones after 11pm when you finally return from the rounds of festivities only to realize that your old phone won't work on your current plan without some fancy footwork and tech support. 3- post on FB that you have no working phone - both for practical purposes - because out-of-town friends are in town and you can't reach them accept by phone, and for sympathy purposes - your 100s of closest friends must know what dire straights you find your in. 4 - go to sleep wondering how much your new phone and contract are going to cost. 5 - go to this Verizon store where you have received pretty good service in the past, on a Sunday, the day following XMAS, get the closest possibly parking place without a wait, walk in to the store, give your name and info to the greeter, she apologizes for the wait which may be up to 30 minutes. 6 - walk across the parking lot to Noah's Bagels, hear your name being called by those visiting out-of-town friends you couldn't reach, sit and have a bagel and coffee while you visit. 7 - return to the Verizon store to use one of their phones to call Mom. 8 - hear your name called 9 - hand your broken phone to the nice smiling man who is working on the Day after Xmas with all of the crazy shopping people 10 - walk out with a Brand New Replacement Phone (and battery because the new phone has a better battery), with your contacts loading. My husband and I were looking to upgrade our IPhone 8s to IPhone 12 Pro. We made an appointment and were helped by Jose. Jose told us that he could upgrade us to an unlimited plan and it would be a few dollars more per month than what we are currently paying. My husband traded in his phone for a nice credit towards the new phone. Jose helped him "wipe" the old phone. As we finished the transactions, Jose told us that we would have to enroll in auto pay using a debit card or our bank account. We could also apply for a Verizon credit card. If we did not enroll in Auto Pay, we would not receive a discount. We have been loyal customers with Verizon for many years and we have always used Auto Pay with our own VISA card. I will not pick up another credit card just to get a discount. And, with all of the data breaches, I am not keen to provide my banking information to Verizon. I asked to see the manager and Courtney showed up. She apologized for Jose and said "he was new to the job." Frankly, I don't think it is a training issue. It felt like a typical bait and switch which should be a violation of consumer protection laws. We will be contacting the Attorney General next and the CEO of Verizon. Here is the last kicker - I went on the Verizon site to see what the next bill would be (minus the charges for upgrading to a new plan halfway through the billing cycle) and it will be DOUBLE what we are currently paying. So Jose's estimate of a few dollars more was way off. Needless to say, not feeling like a valued customer. read more

Verizon has no customer loyalty. Charge me for equipment I don't have, can't sell me a new phone without a $200+ fee, and up-sell me products I don't want or need. Not a good job, 15yr customer gets no loyalty or service. read more
