Horrible store. The workers present themselves as friendly and there to help you but they're simply out to trick you into signing up for products and services you don't want or need. There are no posted prices and limited access to information regarding products and service plans. It's a very deceptive practice. They act like a high end item is "included" with the item you're purchasing, such as an Apple Watch and/or tablet , along with an iPhone you may legitimately be there to get, have you to sign an iPad screen for them and then hand you the receipts before you leave and then you see that you'll be paying full price for the items over time. None of it is explained. It doesn't feel right and there are no explanations. You feel like they're "helping" you but no. You walk out with all of these items you didn't want and then when you return to the store to question these deceptive sales practices and return the items, they become defensive and act like you're threatening them and making THEM uncomfortable and they tell you to leave the store and if you don't leave they call the police on you. I would seriously avoid this store at all costs. Just get whatever equipment you need through Amazon or the AT&T online and cut these scam artist middle men out. They're not only unnecessary but they're there to take advantage of the average person's lack of knowledge and ability to research these products that you only purchase every so often, just like a car or large household appliance. read more

The worst people who will do anything for a sale. I was paying my bill automatic from my bank for years. I should've gone to Costco or anywhere. Apple. They didn't have the phone or iPad in stock and my phone was working. I told them 4 times when I got the phone I didn't want an Ipad. So I left with a watch. I had no idea they have an iPad in the storeroom with my name on it. I forgot that I paid tax for it. I got my statement from the bank and it was twice as much. They put a phone on the iPad. I spent countless hours on the phone and four trips to the store. They told me my trade in was worth $850. Battery of the iPhone 12 was 86 percent. The form was blank. I wanted my old phone back. It was gone. They lied just for a sale. Not to mention what they charge for everything. That's how I was treated and had been a loyal customer since 2003. read more

HORRENDOUS customer service. The rep Kirah scammed me when setting up my new plan. First Net was offering a promotion supposedly where you buy a new iPhone and get a new Apple Watch for $0.99. I don't wear watches so wasn't going to do it but Kirah insisted it was a great deal because it was only $0.99. I asked if there were any other fees or anything or if it was legit just $0.99 a month. Her and her manager Matt assured me there were no hidden fees or other charges as it was on the same phone plan using the same data and everything so I went for it thinking my bill would see a $0.99 a month watch charge. NOPE! They charged me $20 a month for this watch as it apparently was it's on line which itself was $10 plus other hidden fees. I brought this to their attention and they said after 3 months, I would see JUST $0.99 on the bill. This never happened. I called the store and spoke to Matt who said he'd submit a ticket and call me back the next day. He never called me back. I called him several times and he was never available but I was promised he'd call me back. No callbacks. The next time I called I was told he no longer works there and to work with Kentwon. Kentwon has been dodging me for weeks now. Keeps promising to call me back with updates. He never calls, no updates are provided. Every time I call the store he's in "meetings" even on Saturdays and Sundays... I went into a different AT&T store where they tried to help. They said Matt & Kentwon NEVER submitted any tickets for this as they could not see anything. They admitted that Kirah & Matt screwed me over with this scam. I tried to return the unopened watch but it was past the 30 day window (because I was told the promotion would show after 3 months so was waiting it out) so I could not return it. Called Kentwon again while at this other AT&T store and of course was told he'd call me back in an hour which he never did. Shocker. Id avoid this store like the plague. They've yet to make it right, yet to call me, yet to submit an actual ticket and yet to provide any kind of assistance whatsoever. Do not let them upsell you on any "$0.99" promotion because they are royaly screwing you and by the time you realize they'll be no where to be found. read more

I went to add a line. The customer service rep said it would be one price but when I got my bill it was double. Thank god I been with Atnt over 20 years and they took the money off and made my bill right. It seems like all Atnt stores just tell u lies about pricing because when u get the bill always higher. AT&T stores including this one get a bad rep sometimes. And it can be for good reason or bad. It's not their fault you broke your phone or you are not ready for an upgrade. What is usually their fault, is that you can't ever seem to get out of there under 90 minutes Last night we went in for a new phone for our son. Writing this review as a customer for the last 7 years with AT&T. I went to the AT&T store yesterday to get information about signing a new contract and buying two new iPhone 5s 32gb phones. My boyfriend and I waited for 30 minutes and when all three sales consultants were finished with their customers, they all three stared At us and started to walk away until one female asked if we need help. The other consultants were talking about how they can't wait to go home. I was obviously irritated with the lack of urgency to help us and make a sale. The entire atmosphere of the store was young unprofessional people. Our meeting started and the woman opened with "why do you have a sad Face on". From there she did a medicore job , at best, at listening to us and helping us choose a plan that would best fit us. She was argumentative with every question I brought up. As a business owner who strives to provide my clients with the best customer service they deserve, I was extremely disappointed with the way I was treated. I went across the street to Verizon , signed a 2 year contract, got the phones for $100 cheaper than AT&T offered, and am writing this review from my new phone. I had no previous problem with AT&T but I will say that the staff at that store needs a review on their customer service skills. read more

The employee was not helpful, rude, sold me the wrong iPhone case and didn't tell me about this $15 extra charge per month for insurance that I never signed up for. I'm really surprised that I'm the first one to post about this store. I'm 93% sure that I've been to every AT&T in the Springfield area over the last 10 years and this one is hands down the best of the bunch. The employees are extremely friendly and knowledgeable, which apparently is almost impossible to find at any of the other locations I've had to visit. The last time I was there, I was in and out with a brand new iPhone in a matter of 15 minutes. While waiting to be helped (since nowadays cell phone stores are THE place to be on the weekends), the manager walked around greeting each waiting customer, asking if they had trouble signing in, and thanking them for coming into the store. THIS is how these stores should be run; I hope the other pathetic locations take note and make some major changes. read more

This store is absolutly horrible. I have been going there for years. They used to be great with customer service. In the past year or so it has changed dramatically and gets worse each time. They are the reason I went across the street and switched to Verizon. Waited for 45 minutes to be helped after I put my name in (with only one person ahead of me). March 2020 I'm disgusted with the Customer Service at AT&T. We had a representative unknowingly put protection and insurance without our consent on our account twice. This employee was allowed to work and interact with customers while threatening to quit while the boss did nothing. She lied to my wife about pricing and this issue hasn't been resolved in three months. We have called with each bill due to its inaccuracy ($75 more than we were quoted) and the staff can't give intelligent or informative answers. Due to the hesitancy in their response, it shows there isn't full transparency with this company. They also added a phone line we didn't need to the account twice to increase the price. Later, we were told that removing it would cost $500 dollars against our account. For some reason, we couldn't get the discounted rate we were promised. The representative "Jerry" told us you will see the amount in a few hours. A tactic that feels like he did just to get us off the phone. We checked almost 24 hours later and no change to our account and we are expected to pay the amount we called about yesterday. I recommend using another provider because this company can't complete the simplest of tasks or hit a "Save" button. Good Luck! horrible customer service. My fiance and i went to the store to switch from verizon to at&t. WORST MISTAKE! We met with James. After picking our plan he said the final bill each month would be $150 plus taxes which we agreed to. Our monthly bill was then $229 the next month! We went in to figure out what the mistake was, James was there again and he didn't know. Basically he lied to us when we signed up. He had no explanation as to why the bill was $79 more than promised by him the previous month. He was absolutely no help and couldn't explain why he lied to us last month. Then his manager, Tim comes over and said he also cannot help us and had zero explanation as to why James told us the incorrect amount. The ONLY thing he offered to help us with was enrolling us in auto-pay to receive a $20 discount...? how is that in any way helping me? Tim said there is nothing he can do, basically we have to just accept the fact James lied to us and it is what it is. If I can give any advice do not go to this store and certainly do not do business with James or Tim!! This is my first and LAST experience with AT&T, maybe all stores are not ran like this, but stay away from this one. read more

I have only visited this AT&T Company Store once, and I had a great experience. I must have gone in at the right time when a sales associate greeted me and immediately assisted me. I was really happy there was no wait time. The sales associate (James) was also very helpful, he got my account set up, and number ported in no time, and provided all of the information I asked for. Sold me a broken iphone and they dont even care. I bet it was the stores demo phone. Still doesnt work right. I had 2 weeks to return it but they wouldnt let me. Said I had to take it up with apple. Went into this store today. It was packed as usual with people having phone issues or buying a new phone. Just got off of working a long day at the salon and my mom loved my car charger so I told her I'd take her here to get one we walk in and only want to buy the charger no one greeted us or asked us to be signed in looked at the screen there are two people there ahead but the thing is we only wanted to buy a charger didn't need a phone or have any issues with a phone talked to a guy walking by asked if we could just but the charger he says you have to wait in line really you can't just get us the charger and we can pay and leave he then says well there might be a manager that can take care of you and walked away well we did and it was a total waste of time just driving there I have att as my cell phone carrier so I get stuff all the time but I'll never go back to this store again. My fiancé has been with AT&T for about 15 years now. She's always had a plan with them. She's always paid her bills on time. She's never lost her service with them. One of their "awesome" employees bamboozled us into purchasing two new iPhone 6's because we felt that this was classified as an upgrade. Well now according to AT&T's stellar customer service, we are outside of our 14 day return policy and now owe these phones even if we leave AT&T. 1) If this employee (and I think his name is Tom, because I don't really care what they think of me even if I do walk back into this store), sat us down and told us that we had to fully pay 750 dollars for each phone; then we would've laughed in his face and said NO! 2) Tom never told us the price of the phone because he figured he could cover it up in the "illusion" of us upgrading. 3) Pretty much lied to us by saying that AT&T was "moving away from 2 yr contracts" and told us this was the only route we had to take in being customers going forward. This was a clear lie because customer service said that they still have two yr plans. Now we are stuck paying $25 for each phone for the next 30 months. Yes. A grand total of 1500 for two phones. Also we are not in a contract. AT&T is pushing this new format most likely in hopes that they make more money. Most likely this branch is sales incentive driven, which is pathetic. That would explain their employee turnover rate. Every time I walk in there they have a new employee, and the previous is gone. The only reason why that store is packed because they are the only one for 5 square miles, not because of their award winning customer service. Thanks to Tom not being an educated AT&T employee (or maybe he was and this is the culture of this business to rip people off), we now have to pay these phones off. Thanks for not fully explaining yourself AT&T. Your upgraded do not include new phones that have just came out. AND TWO YEAR CONTRACTS STILL EXIST. I had come here with my husband to upgrade my iPhone. The sales associate was extremely rude! I had told him I wanted to sign up for the two year plan which was still advertised. He told me that AT&T no longer had that and I responded with "I don't understand why you don't offer that when I'm clearly reading it on the sign" and his response was "I don't understand what you don't understand." He belittled me and basically called me dumb. This is when I switched to T-Mobile. It's ashame since my dad has had AT&T since 1990. read more

The store associate sold me a new iphone 6 based on a deal they had giving $200 for old phone. So i proceed to purchase based on the deal and order the new 6. When i go back to activate it the MORON Mike was his name tells me its only worth $19! Then in a fit of anger i tell him i dont want new phone anymore so he hits me with a restocking fee of $30 some dollars! The manager Chip was no help and no joke at one point he told me "Whatever..." Now why would you tell someone one day theyll give you $200 for old phone (which sold me on idea of even buying a new one) then turn around and say NO! Total RIPOFFS! If I could give this location no stars that would not even measure how horrible it is. We walked in and were NOT greeted or even acknowledged. We had to say excuse me while the two employees completely ignored us while looking at their tablets. There were about 8 people waiting to be helped and we were not approached for at least 5 minutes. I asked if they had the galaxy 6 edge plus and the guy went into the back to check and that alone took 10 minutes. When he came back he simply said "yes" to me and then walked up to other customers and asked if they needed to be signed in. Umm hello? I was never asked to be signed in and I was there first. I have never had a more frustrating experience EVER. We left and went to the store in the Springfield Mall and we were immediately helped by Paul. He is fantastic and I highly recommend going to him.
