Took my Galaxy S21 in for a battery replacement. My battery wouldn't hold a charge. They pointed out my battery was disfigured and pushing out the back cover. They were correct. I told them about my issues with my charging port - they said they could replace that also. An new phone would be at least $700. Together the repair was $150. After I left I noticed issues with connecting, texting and phone calls if I wasn't on wifi. I went back a couple weeks later. They determined it was the antennae. The antennae was either pushed out of place due to the battery or during the repair. They fixed the antennae at no cost and it's working great. Thank you. read more

On 28 April, 2025, I bought an automotive battery at the Springfield, Pa. BatteriesPlus store #623. It was to replace Duracell that I had purchased at the same store 5 years earlier. I was happy with the store because of past service, and I liked the service I had gotten from the Duracell battery. When I got to the store, I was told they didn't have that Duracell in stock, but they had an equivalent made by Duracell. I wasn't happy with the substitution, but went along with the purchase. I took the battery home and put it in my convertible that I only drive in "Top down" weather. The first day for a "Top down" drive came about a month later. Unfortunately, the month old battery was dead. I took it out to return it for a refund. On the way, I stopped at a AAA and they ran a battery check and determined it was a faulty battery as it had 2.86 volts in it. When I got to BatteriesPlus, and asked for a refund, I was told that since I hadn't brought it back in 14 days, I couldn't get a refund. The Manager said that since I hadn't driven it for a month, the battery must have lost its charge. The car has no parasitic drain. His first defense was that it was the customer's fault. He told me that there was nothing he could do. I should call Customer Service, which I did. I got in touch with Julia who confirmed that since I hadn't returned it in 14 days, there wasn't anything they could do. The purchase receipt does not mention anything about "Return By 14 Days." It does say "Full Warranty Until 10/28/27." I requested a higher level of customer service. After calling back, and some delay, I got in touch with Teresa who suggested that I might have reversed the polarity. Again it was the customer's fault. I have worked on cars, maintained cars...and charged batteries on cars...for 63 years --- specifically on this car for 20+ years. The short story is I have the receipt for a $250.00+ battery that lost all of it's charge in a month, was tested by AAA and determined to be defective....and BatteriesPlus basic answer is "Pound sand". Buyer Beware. PS -- They kept the battery to put it on their tester. According to Julia in Customer Service, a day later, they hadn't tested it. read more

Tons of items to choose from at this clean location. The staff was REALLY helpful and attentive. That experience makes me want to come back for all my battery and bulb needs. She took my sample and quickly found the bulb I needed. She checked me out and I would on my way in less then 5-10 minutes. I'm really happy about the service as I've tried to find this bulb in larger chains and had issues. I ended up picking up an extra but I know where to go if I need another one. So, I was in need of a car battery for my Jeep Wrangler since it was dying on me. I arrived to the Springfield store, and spoke to a woman named Kat. I asked her about car batteries and she exclaim that I should buy the X2Power Battery since it was a, "flooded battery." And I know nothing about batteries. After leaving the store, I used my phone to explore information about car batteries online without any pressure. The information I found states that all car batteries are flooded. Also, while checking the internet, I saw that there was a Duracell battery available that was less expensive than the X2Power Battery with the same output in power. However, the offered battery warranty was for four years, not five. When I asked Kat about it, SHE STATED THAT THEY WERE SOLD OUT!! Behold, while the man who didn't have the right tools to install X2 Power Battery into my Wrangler, I found the Duracell right on the shelf. I thought to myself, this can't be because she wouldn't just lie to me about this right to my face. Also, I went online to see if the battery was in stock, and it was. That's twice Kat has lied to me. I was so angry at this point, and the battery was installed already, I just left the store. Please note, I had to run across the street twice to ask the garage for the right tools to install the battery into my car. Poor Service. All in all, it's highly doubtful that I will visit another Batteries Plus after of my poor experience. This incident probably stemmed from the company offering the most amount of money to their employees for selling this particular battery. This is my speculation. read more

I went to the battery plus yesterday to buy a battery for my s 8 and the guy wouldn't sell me the battery outright unless I paid him to install it .$86 dollars .So I left the store without the battery and got on my cell phone and ordered a battery from Amazon and they delivered it the next day .Total cost $18.01 and I put it in myself no problems . Took some cordless power tool baterry packs into this store..Paid $50 each x 2 to get new batteries put in them. Got them back . The batteries were no good and they rattled with something loose inside. Took them back to the store. Gave them the batteries back and asked for a refund. The employee stated he would have the owner/manager call me to work this out . Never got a call back. Some time has passed. Many months. Met with the owner /manager, explained things. Maybe they sell good batteries and bulbs but don't bring them your cell phone. I had them replace the battery on my galaxy s6 edge. They scratched the back of the screen and ruined about 15 pixels on the screen, and the phone sporadically started losing signal. They were googling solutions to the network problem and offered nothing to correct the ruined screen. In the end i trashed the phone and replaced it since it was off contract, even though before i brought it to these guys it was a perfectly good phone with a perfect screen and network connection and just a battery that was starting to lose charging life. I ordered a key fob for my Mazda CX5 at the end of October. The shop owner quickly called me and confirmed the stock of the item and scheduled a time for me to come in and get it programed. I took time out of work to drive to the store before it opened (since there is only one guy working) and after a few minutes he said he couldn't do it that day because he didn't have the right code. In addition, the key cutting machine was broken. He said it would be about 2 weeks for the machine to be repaired but I could come back and do both at the same time. I didn't hear back after about 3 weeks so I called again and the machine was out for repairs. He said he got the code and could at least program my key. I took more time out to get it programmed and after 20 minutes of sitting in the cold (I wasn't allowed in the store because it wasn't open yet and he was the only worker) he told me it kept disconnecting to the wifi and he couldn't program my key. He did refund my purchase, but I have been waiting 6 weeks at this point for a programmed key and I feel like their technology isn't up to pair for a service they provide. I shouldn't have to take multiple trips and in the end not end up with a programmed key. I left, called a mobile car key programmer/cutter and for the same price they are coming to my house, programming my key and cutting it, and it was less than 30 minutes. Never again will I try to use them for anything technology related. Maybe a simple purchase, but it was a horrible experience. read more

This is a story about 'old-fashioned' personal service, from an employee named Kat. Last weekend, I wanted to replace the batteries in our cordless mower. The battery pack was no longer for sale anywhere. But I watched a youtube video which showed how to take the pack apart and replace the heavy-duty batteries inside. So I ordered the batteries and picked them up at this store. Unfortunately, when I got home with the batteries and got the mower battery pack disassembled, I realized I had the wrong size batteries. I called the store, and was asked to bring the batteries back with the disassembled mower battery assembly so they could see what batteries I needed. But when I got to the store, not only did Kat quickly make the exchange for the correct batteries but she helped me by replacing the batteries, rewiring the battery pack, and checking that the charge was full. All I had to do was put the screws back into the battery pack. Now we have what is essentially a new cordless lawn mower. Kat was terrific and my wife and I were so pleased. We'll be back to the store again. read more

Do Not get your phone fixed here. I had to return there three times in TWO DAYS to have my phone fixed and it still did not work right! Each time, I got a mild apology.. On day 4 of having the screen "fixed" it cracked do to me having to push hard on it to get it to work. When I took the broken screen back (after getting it replaced elsewhere) in an effort to get some money back, I was denied and sent on my way. Not a good way to handle business.
