Apetek Computers is a reliable service/repair store. I have taken my whole family's iPhones as well as my MacBook to this place for all sorts or repairs or part replacements. I even bought an iPad from them for my father and he loves it! I just even bought an iPhone from them after having a defective one from Amazon. I trust this place with my family's electronics, which is essentially trusting them with my life. I will always take my devices to them first to see if they can solve my problems. If they can't, they explain WHY too, which is so nice. They are competent, reliable, and will not cheat you. Their hours are amazing too, you can't beat Monday through Saturday, 10am to 6pm. This is my go-to-place for all my computer repairs and diagnostics. I've been coming here for years for atleast a decade maybe a little over a decade. I visited the store today 5/18/19 and the employee that serviced my laptop name was Johnny. Johnny Gave me an approximate turn around time and he had my laptop fixed in a matter of hours. I was back to come and pick up my laptop the same day. I would like to thank him for his honesty and for servicing my laptop. Apetek employees are friendly, professional and very welcoming. Apetek has a few locations in the city-they sell and repair various electronics all at affordable rates. In my opinion Apetek are the original staple to the name "geek squad". 3.5 stars for getting the job done. What can I say, I got exactly what I needed in a timely fashion. On one of my visits to Philadelphia, my clumsy self managed to completely shatter my iphone screen. Luckily Apetek was in the area and they were able to repair my iphone. Simple drop-off and same day pick up. Convenience at its best. If I ever shatter my iphone screen again (hopefully never) I would definitely come back. I brought my sister's ipad here over a year ago to have the cracked screen fixed. They fixed it in a day and the price was reasonable. It is a mom and pop shop so the item you get fixed may not look brand new (my sister's ipad had a few miniscule pieces of glass that you can still see stuck in the fixed screen). You can probably get the same deal in a small mall vendor but eith way you will be good. I would use them again. read more

I was there today 04/23/2021 trying to get some music transfer to another hard drive after I messed it up on a DYI, the sales man was very helpful and spent what i thought was a huge amount of time but I ended up erasing the info and started over, and he had no charge say's he really did not solve the problem but cleaning the hard drive was nothing . I had two laptops that I took in for repair. The first laptop would not power up after 3 months out of the store. I was told that the motherboard was shot. The 2nd laptop that I took in and later picked up... The same thing happened, only this time the laptop lasted 2 months. This was within a 6 month time period. I will never take anything to be repaired there again. NOT EVEN A MOUSE. Be warned & if you don't take my advice, make sure that you receive a detailed and legible receipt. read more

RIP OFF! Earlier this month I went to use my ASUS laptop only to discover the AC Adapter/Charger had failed. Although I had never dealt with APETEC Computers before, I decided to give them a try and stopped by their store on Bustleton Avenue. The clerk produced a cardboard box from beneath the counter and rummaged through it until he found a replacement. He said I could take the exact match with a 1-month warranty for $40 or a Universal Adapter/Charger with a mfg. warranty for $40. I thought the price was a little high but I took the ASUS anyway, even if it was used. After I arrived home I realized my debit card was charged $45, (plus $3.60 sales tax). I also found the same Adapter/Charger NEW online (Pronto Charger.com) for $21.85 with free same day shipping. Now I'm writing a review instead of returning to APETEC! read more

Most horrible experience EVER! My brother goes there to get his phone battery changed. The guy at the register tells him to come back after a few hours. He then comes back and takes his phone... Just to find out the the front camera and the microphone that takes calls stopped working. We go back and tell him, and all he says is, "I forgot to tell you that happens sometimes" I was shocked and told him to take it back and fix it and he proceeds to tell me, "it's not my problem" NEVER GO THERE, save your self the headache and go somewhere else, WORST FIX SHOP IN PHILLY! read more

I'm very disappointed in the customer's service provided to me by the employees of this store. I brought my laptop with a broken hinge in for a repair and was helped by a guy named Chan. He took a look at my laptop but wasn't able to give me a price since and I quote "the laptop was too new", even though my laptop was purchase more than 1 1/2 years ago. He requested that I drop off my laptop for him to inspect it and they'll give me a call back later in the day for a price. I never got a call back, way to make a customer feel important. Two days later I called back for the price, but to only find out that Chan wasn't in, but another employee told me that my laptop wasn't even looked at yet even though Chan told me he was. I was outraged. Long story short, after a few phone calls, I was able to get the price. It has been three weeks since I drop my laptop in for a repair and it's not even done. Chan told me my parts will be in on 8/8/13 and he'll start the repair immediately, he also said it will be ready by sunday for me to pick up, it's now sunday 8/11/13 and I haven't heard a thing from Chan. overall it has been three weeks and my laptop is not done!! How incompetent are the employees of Ape Tek . Don't waist your time, go to another shop so you could get your repair faster. read more
