Last week, I brought my MacBook Air in for a screen replacement. I scheduled a free consultation…read morethrough their website, and when I arrived, my name was already listed on their service screen as waitlisted. The wait was short, and the staff member who checked me in was incredibly kind and patient. I'll admit--I went in expecting the stereotypical grumpy tech experience, but that couldn't have been further from the truth. Even an older couple ahead of me was treated with care and patience as they asked questions about setting up their new device. It was genuinely impressive. After taking in my laptop, they let me know they'd need to order parts from Apple before proceeding. Since parts only ship on weekdays, they offered to keep me updated via my preferred method--text--which I really appreciated. Throughout the week, their communication was prompt and clear. I was notified as soon as the parts arrived and when new issues came up. That's how I learned that, in addition to my cracked screen, my battery also needed replacement. Via text, I was quoted around $426 for both repairs, which I agreed to, assuming it reflected the total cost for parts and labor. However, when I picked up my laptop yesterday, the final bill came out to over $800. The original ~$426 quote didn't seem to correspond to any of the line items on the receipt. Had I known the total would be nearly double, I likely wouldn't have moved forward with the repair. All that said, I truly appreciated the professionalism and attentiveness of the staff. I just wish the pricing had been more transparent and consistent. Here's hoping my now very expensive (and not-so-new) laptop lasts another 10 years to make it all feel worth it.

Outstanding Service from the Tech Support Dream Team I've…read morebeen a loyal Micro Center customer for over 25 years, and that's almost entirely thanks to Rob Brown in the Tech Support Department. Rob is simply the best--knowledgeable, patient, and reliable. He's been my go-to person for a quarter century, and there's a reason I keep coming back: he knows his stuff and genuinely cares about solving problems. Francis Cioffi, who was Rob's manager for many years, has also been incredibly helpful throughout the years. Both Rob and Francis have an encyclopedic knowledge of products and always take the time to find the right solution. This past Sunday really showcased what makes this team exceptional. I brought a friend in who was having issues with her two-month-old Acer Aspire. David Merritt was able to push through a replacement and arrange for the hard drive transfer. Francis made sure the hard drive got to tech support quickly so we wouldn't have to make multiple trips. Then Rob worked through the hard drive replacement and did extensive troubleshooting--nothing about this repair was straightforward, but he stuck with it until everything was working properly. The level of expertise, dedication, and customer care from Rob, Francis, and David is why the St. Davids Micro Center stands out. They don't just sell products--they build lasting relationships and truly support their customers. Highly recommend asking for any of these folks when you visit!

This is one of those situations where you walk in thinking you're doing a normal upgrade and walk…read moreout realizing you just got played. I went to Best Buy in Springfield, PA to purchase an iPhone Pro Max 1TB through the in-store AT&T rep. I was told two things that turned out to be wrong: 1. I was told 1TB was the largest capacity available. Later I found out there's a 2TB option. 2. I was told my iPhone 15 Pro Max trade-in would be worth $1,100 in bill credits. What I actually received was $400. That's a $700 difference. That's not small. That's not "confusing fine print." That's the whole reason people do the upgrade in the first place. I called AT&T and they said I need the same salesman to sign a document stating he gave the wrong value. Seriously? So the fix depends on the person who gave the wrong quote being available and willing to admit it? I drove back to the store to handle it in person and -- surprise -- the salesman wasn't there. The employees who were there (Connor and Dennis) said they couldn't pull up what happened with my account. So I'm expected to trust a system that can take my money, take my phone, and activate my line... but can't display the terms I was sold? This is the second time I've had a problem with an AT&T rep experience, and it's the last. I'm paying off this phone and switching carriers. If you're reading this: do not do AT&T upgrades with a commissioned rep in Best Buy unless you have printed proof of the exact promotion and bill-credit amount before you hand over your phone. Otherwise the promises disappear the moment the transaction is complete.

I'm so glad I found this treasure of a store so close to home! I was amazed at the wide range of equipment available, all organized by price range in five dedicated listening rooms. Sometimes they get deals from manufacturers that are truly stunning! Most recently I wanted to upgrade an old turntable and was able to try out units over a wide range of price points, until I tried an Technics SL-1200G (Grand Class) in the high-end room. Nice but expensive and very heavy (40 lbs). Nick G. walked me through all the various options and I ended up ordering the black-finish version (SL-1210G). When placing the order, Nick noted that he lived very near my house and offered to drop off the new unit once it was in stock and set-up. But a few days later I got a call that the unit was back-ordered and could take over a month to arrive. So he offered to drop off their demonstration unit at my house in the meantime! Three weeks later, the SL-1210G arrived and Nick took care of dropping off the new one and picking up their unit. Now that is amazing service!

While visiting the lunch preview at honeygrow Wynnewood, I stopped by this Target location to pick up a few things. This is a smaller sized Target and has a Starbucks inside. I needed some health and beauty items and was disappointed to see that many items were out of stock and the aisles were left in disarray. I was able to get about half of the items on my list. The staff is ok, some are nice, some act like they don't want to be here or do their job. That's normal with any place though, management is ok as well, the people aren't my problem... These lock cabinets are the absolute worst, it makes me not even want to shop at target. Why do I need to call an attendant for deodorant or laundry detergent ? That's ridiculous & not to mention nobody moves with any kind of speed so if u want deodorant expect to wait 10-15 mins just for the to come open the case. Very much not worth it at all, I'd rather take the 25 min drive to Walmart because at least I can be in and out min a few mins, not stand around looking dumb waiting for some mystery key person to come open the lock for a basic necessity & Walmart cost less! Why overpay for more hassle. That doesn't make sense. Deodorant is not a PS5 or the brand new iPhone...it doesn't need a lock case.
