Myself and one of my children ended up accidentally breaking our phones days apart and we all know what a headache that can be. zero . Worst experience ever. Overcharged my dead mother for two months worth of service. They they canceled needed to transfer the phone to T-Mobile gave me the transfer pin, but did not unlock the carrier on the phone. I was accused of videotaping??? and the young woman with the glasses couldn't have been more rude. She was the only person working in the store at the time. The other two people were ahead of me. I waited 20 minutes and left and frustration. I encourage everyone to leave AT&T. They have the worst customer service in the history of customer service. read more

Was completely ignored when we came into the store, and then got passed up by the only available associate (who pointedly turned away from us to fiddle around with a display when I walked up to her) for more professionally dressed gents who strolled in after us. Still, I left wondering if I would've been better off strolling over to preorder at the Apple store. Visit 2, to pickup: She was much more amiable this trip. I got the notice a day early so I didn't have my receipt, but they assured me that I could still stop by on the way home from work and they'd be happy to reprint the necessary paperwork. She activated and tested the phone in a very short period of time. Smooth transfer of contacts, plus some friendly pointers. I was psyched that they'd received a new batch of bumpers as well that day, in the tan plaid I wanted. Walked out thinking everything was groovy. But now I've discovered a grievous mistake that settles it back to 1.5 stars for me. Apart from my frustration with the corporate changes to the plans, forgetting to reapply my previous text messaging plan after tacking on the data plan is pretty heinous. Final Straw. I went into this store for a simple account management change and was denied the change saying I was not allowed to by policy and it would be breaking the law. This person lied to my face. After a short chat, the online specialist applied the changes AND the previous three changes that the completely incompetent employee also told me where not allowed "by policy". Went to the AT&T store today to upgrade my iphone 7 to iphone 8. I've come to this store several times in the past with very good experiences. Today was a completely different store and a complete failure. Bottom line: Pete, who identified himself as the manager, which turned out was not his real name, basically told me less then truthful information consistently; and ended up with a phone that could make and receive calls, but nothing else; including none of my data. Although 'Pete' was polite, his customer service and ability to solve problems was a non-existent. I went into this location today with my wife and two children. I was not greeted at all when I walked in and I was totally ignored when I looked at the new phones. I wanted to get my son a new phone because he had good grades in school and no one even noticed us when we were standing there for over 15 minutes waiting for someone to greet us or help us. We understood when we walked in that people were being helped but when they were finished helping their clients they still did not speak to us or acknowledged us. One associate came up and said "someone will be right with you in just a moment" and then another employee came from the back and did not greet us did not even approach us and went to the floating desk grabbed something from under the desk and then walked to the back. The management in this location is not the vision your company prides themselves on and need to be reviewed. Two stars and falling. Walked in at 2:30 pm on a Saturday. It was fairly busy however it looked like there was only one person working the entire store. For one, it was hard to distinguish their grey shirts as actual uniforms. And two, once I figured that out, I realized there were only 2 people working the floor, and one that disappeared to the back room. So now I'm trying to figure out the protocol. Couldn't find anyplace to take a number or to sign in. Waited for the worker from the back room to come back out. Says he will help me in a minute. Doesn't sign me in or anything. In the meantime, someone else had emerged, walked by us and took the names of the people waiting behind us. WTF! I was getting angry now. Finally get some recognition from a sales person, they went to do some "real quick". It's taking so long, I wrote this review. Now at 1 star because I can't give it a zero. OMFG...the person helping me just walked in with food from Subway!! She left me here waiting to get food in the middle of the afternoon and has now disappeared in the back. I am livid! read more

Don't go this Reston branch. The guys working there have no clue how their products work. I wont get into my first experience where I was given rubbish product information about a week ago (the guy was pleasant though), but its really the second one from yesterday that pushed me to write this review. I understand it can be a frustrating job but even with the Covid "masks" on you can sense how they don't even want to get off their chairs to help. The guy sounded frustrated and had an unpleasant demeanor. He answered my questions but it seemed like he was preoccupied mentally before I walked in. I cannot say for sure but I got out of there. I walked into the store and in less that 1 minute, I was brought over to one of the round tables where the rep began to configure my device. She told me that I needed a new SIM card (upgrading my iPhone from 4 to 5c and the SIM cards are different). I was given a SIM card (free of charge) and my iPhone was activated. My galaxy 4 that was bought at AT&T froze and totally locked up yesterday. I thought the phone was sealed. The phone was purchased for an outrageous amount of $ on my account by my daughter-in-law (guess who got stuck paying for it) and then she didn't want it anymore. On my way home I stopped at the AT&T store in Reston Town Center and asked for help. They said they don't fix phones! but obviously seemed very willing to sell me a replacement. I asked if they could troubleshoot the problem (What you want me to do something to help you??) The best they could do after I pushed the issue was give me a number for Samsung and tell me that BEST BUY usually had a Samsung person on site on Saturday Mornings. I stopped at Best But and asked if there was a sign in sheet. Elmer said no and that people were waiting. He asked what was wrong, looked at the phone, removed the case and popped the battery to reset. Less than a minute while he was waiting on something else to finish for the customer he was working with. He waited on his customer and still managed to help me. I worked for AT&T. Summary: Your time will be wasted. Go to another AT&T store. I went here twice. Both times I was helped by Ashish. The first time I needed to set up my MicroCell that I received used from my sister. I was not able to use it at home and did not know the reason why. I went to this AT&T where Ashish helped me. He asked me if I plugged in the MicroCell or made sure that it was on. I was slightly insulted at his remark, but I figured other customers might have made this error, so I played along. He told me that the MicroCell should be working. It did not work once I got home. I called the main AT&T hotline and had it fixed. The error was due to the AT&T database where one database had my name on it and the other my sister's. I decided to have another go with this AT&T store the second time when I needed my phone to upgrade. This time I also brought my husband along. Ashish again helped me. He told me that with the current plan I was having, it would be better if I bought upfront an entire new phone at full price or paid $200 upfront and $25/month for two years. He did not explain the Next plan, or if he did, it was so brief that I missed it during his explanation of just go straight purchasing a new phone. My husband also had a question regarding the 10 GB family plan, and straight away Ashish stated that it would be cheaper, but my husband would need to get a new phone to change the plan. He did not even ask or look at my husband's family plan. Currently, my husband and I are not in the same family plan. My husband stated that he is not in my family plan, but Ashish just said yes, it's cheaper without further explanation. I was disappointed with the result and decided to go to the AT&T store in Fairfax in Main Street. Joffrey assisted us there and explained it thoroughly for both my need to upgrade a phone and my husband's questions about the 10 GB family plan. He did not give us any BS and within half an hour, we were out of there with our questions answered and a new phone. read more

Employees standing around doing nothing and what looked like the manager behind the desk standing there doing nothing to help any of the waiting customers in fact he was on the phone discussing a movie he recently watched!!! Seriously AT&T you need to get your customer service back, I understand waiting if you need to establish a new plan but if you have been a customer for over 10 yrs and you just want to upgrade your phone you should be able to walk in and say I want that phone, purchase it and walk out at least that is the way it has been since for many years. Oh and when I asked why am I waiting to simply find out if I can buy the upgrade which I never did this in the past 2 yrs I would have simply walked in purchased the iphone 5 and in 10 mins walked out their answer was "well the iphone 6 wasn't out 2 yrs ago..." We visited the Reston Town Center AT&T Mobility Store over the weekend to upgrade our iPhone 4s to iPhone 7 Plus devices. Elisha was absolutely fantastic through the entire process. She supported us way beyond the device sale and spent several hours with us to configure the new devices, set up and confirm iclouds, validate that all look-and-feel experiences were synced from our old phones, and installed our Zagg protectors and cases (at a discounted price). We also got tips/tricks from Elisha and Daniel for syncing the new devices to our vehicle Bluetooth (required more than just device pairing). We greatly appreciated the individual attention and time that was spent to make our upgrade experience seamless and stress-free. read more
