I've upgraded my cell phone several times since moving to California in 2005, and this time was by far the easiest purchase and data transfer experience. This time I moved from an iPhone 14 Pro to the iPhone 17 Pro. I was amazed that all my apps appeared just as before--I only needed to sign back in. Even with nearly 100,000 photos and videos, the transfer finished in about an hour. Incredible! I've interacted with several staff members at this location recently, and they've all been knowledgeable about iPhones, accessories, and the customer's point of view during transitions. Each one has been professional, respectful, patient, and personable. In particular, Aiden anticipated my needs and guided me through the transaction with clear, straightforward instructions while handling the purchase itself with great efficiency. Initially, I was in a family plan. I am not the main account holder. I had my number rolled over to me, personally. At the same time, the phone was stolen and I immediately sought to 'SUSPEND LINE USAGE" and then to HAVE SERVICE DISCONTINUED. I kept being flipped back and forth between doing it on line and what can and cannot be done in a physical store. I got tired of going back and forth. (because I was not the main acct holder, certain info was withheld; when info was finally in my name, there is a WAIT PERIOD, before we can set the phone straight - MEANWHILE THE PHONE IS STIL STOLEN, ON SUSPENSION BUT FULLY L I V E. I am told I am responsible for the line yet it is ATT who is taking 72 hour wait time, now another 48 hour wait time. I think you ATT should have responsibility for payment on this line. It is your system which has us at a stand still for now....... Meanwhile let me offer a note of thanks to the employees I encountered on Thurs Sept 12th at the Novato store. They were eager to roll the ball and get solutions versus quick to say " ma'am I can't help you" Their efforts yielded results - we now have a 48 hour watch til the problem is resolved. The worst service we have ever experience !!! I came to move our service from our current carrier to AT&T, we set with them and agreed on a price and plan and before the last signature the prices were completely different so We decided to cancel , the branch manager ate pizza in the car and told her salesperson that they cannot cancel and drove away the other douche bag told us to get out of the store before he calls the police... this AT&T branch is a SCAM. do your self a favor and avoid it. read more

I wish I could leave zero stars. Their manager Christina is selling their stock of phones for the holiday and sold an iPhone 13 128gb to someone with an iPhone 8 512gb. There were no larger capacity phones in stock at the time. But instead of letting the sale go, or ordering a larger phone ( Which they didn't offer), she chose to say that there was more than enough room on the phone. After returning the phone, and getting a refund on everything except a restocking fee. We went back to ask for a credit on the restocking fee, but we were told that she couldn't approve it because " We were in there for like 5 hours and the size of the phone was discussed " We were there for an hour at the most... People who are not knowledgeable about phones, should be able to go to a phone store for advice, this is not the place to get that advice. She was looking to sell what they had on hand. Not looking for the right product for their customer. We were told to call ATT support for a credit on the restocking fee. Which Arnold #av2374 was able to approve $50 of the $55 fee. And was very helpful and kind. I'm sure Christina didn't want the restocking fee credit on her shoulders as it was her mistake in the first place. This must be one of the worst ATT stores in the county. Service is non existent. When we had a problem with the ATT cellbased 'landline' solution (signed up in the store), when called, we were told to come to get help from them. When we did the following day, we were given the brush off. We went to the Nothgate One store instead, and the individual who worked there, Diego was so helpful and spent two hours sorting out our problem. Come to find out it's a $200 credit toward a $300 watch. We did not need the SE has my wife already had a watch. Now we are stuck with a three year plan on a Watch We did not need. Honestly, the staff at this store have gone out of their way to be helpful to me many times -- whether it is replacing the screen protector on my phone (and accommodating me quickly despite a long line), or providing me comprehensive information on options when my phone died, or going out of their way to give me a loaner phone when the insurance company took 6 days to replace the phone they were supposed to replace next day, this store's staff have been stellar. They are always friendly and patient -- and I have seen them treat other customers the same way. Truly appreciate the service. read more

They'll direct you to other stores that will give you answers they could've given you, thus wasting your time all day. I just wanted to take a minute to acknowledge the best-in-class customer service I received from your AT&T associate Darwin Alvarado (aka DJ).  I have been a loyal customer of AT&T since 2003 I believe if not longer, so I really appreciate AT&T hiring wonderful staff such as Darwin. Yesterday, after one day's Fed Ex shipping delay, I finally received my Samsung A32 phone.  Believe it or not, it's actually my first smartphone, so I really needed some patient help which I absolutely received from Darwin.  From the first moment my husband and I stepped into the store, Darwin acknowledged us even though the store was very busy with many customers at the time.  He told us he'll be with us soon, and I can't tell you how great it is to not be ignored which is easy to to do at times when things are hectic.  Thank you, Darwin for being observant and making us feel welcomed! Unfortunately, we had issues activating my Samsung phone, but Darwin was able to activate it for us by switching out the faulty Sim card.  He explained the process to us so that we knew what he was doing every step of the way.  Furthermore, after the phone activated, he was very thorough in testing the phone for functionality to make sure it received calls, made calls, received texts, and sent texts.  I also had many questions regarding my phone since this is my first smartphone, and he was able to answer all of my questions very clearly and once again very patiently which I beyond appreciate.  Thanks very much for explaining to me how my data plan works and how to save on data when apps are not in use! Thank you AT&T for hiring such a gem of a person!  Not only is Darwn highly knowledgeable, he also genuinely cares about people and places them at ease.  I will definitely be returning to this AT&T store for my future needs thanks to the exceptional kind of service that is increasingly rare these day, especially in light of the pandemic.  I really appreciate you Darwin and I'm sure others feel the same whether they express it or not.  Thanks to you, I am able to work my phone successfully! If I could give a negative star I would. I was in the store early December purchasing an iPhone11 on a promotion. ALL the information given was wrong and my bill ended up completely messed up. I spent at least 10 hours over multiple days on the phone with customer care to get it straightened out. And it's still not the way I was told it would be with the promotion. I wasn't told about hidden fees. The prices they quote in the store don't line up with the people from the loyalty team of AT&T. I also wanted to purchase the phone outright and that didn't happen either, I got set up for installments which is not what I wanted. AT&T as a whole is terrible! I can't wait to switch carriers! Beware if you still choose to go to this store (which I highly recommend you don't) you will have problems on your account. And better yet management couldn't do anything for my inconvenience. read more

In looking over the reviews of this store I am very glad that I lucked out and was able to work with Sal. I was switching back to iPhone after years of being with Samsung and Sal very patiently walked me through my options (I settled on a new iPhone 8) and then even MORE patiently waited while I contacted my husband, the account holder, to have me authorized on the account (stupid me, I didn't realize I had to do this before heading to the store). Then Sal truly went above and beyond and waited for an embarrassingly long time while my photos, contacts and other data was transferred from my old phone to the new one. The best part of the experience was enjoying intelligent conversation with Sal while we endured the otherwise stupefying boredom of waiting for the transfer to complete. Instead of just saying "well ma'am, I guess I'll check my Facebook while you sit there with absolutely nothing to do," Sal helped the occasional customer while always returning to pick up our lively conversation. It was anything but boring and I was so appreciative of his time - he worked beyond his scheduled hours to finish helping me rather than itching to escape and handing me off to someone else. I am giving 5 stars for a terrific new product, and for incredible customer service. Thanks Sal! read more

Avoid this store at all costs and go to the one in San Rafael. They smile lots, they pretend to be helpful but their product knowledge and level of service is one step below unacceptable. I had several frustrating visits to this store all around the purchase of one phone. I finally got resolution when I walked into the San Rafael store - they were polite, courteous, KNOWLEDGEABLE, and friendly. I felt trusted, heard, and most importantly, they solved my problem. I recently had a small problem with my newer phone and went into the Vintage Oaks store again (against my better judgement) as it seemed like a small problem - one this store could solve. They did solve part of my problem but there were huge gaps in what they did not accomplish. I did get to witness a sales person YELLING at a customer (who also was yelling). No. Don't do it. ATT&T showroom answered all my questions on how to easily keep my service and number and the most affordable option to replace my second stolen iPhone. They checked my old phone for insurance and whether I could replace my iPhone if I'd wanted to. They transferred my number and service over quickly and for free. My LG phone is great and at about 10th the cost (obviously I'm not a 'power user') ... the best part was that when I set up voice mail over the phone I got to SPEAK WITH A HUMAN and was not subjected to recordings and bots like most customer service lately. WOW. 5-stars. BTW, I would choose to upgrade with ATT&T over Apple at this point. read more

Staff member was great. AT&T on the other hand stinks. My phone needs software upgrade- bought a hotspot on phone since WiFi isn't good enough to do upgrade. Lo and behold, hotspot doesn't work at my house either- keep getting kicked off because need to upgrade software. Lame & waste of $$. So go to this store & they can't help upgrade software because their own WiFi is horrible. Ugh. So now, I have a hotspot I can't use & a phone that can't use zoom when I need it on the go. read more

I bought a new iPhone 6 at this store a few weeks ago. Less than a week later, I received a message from AT&T to ask me to complete my account for the Phone Insurance which cost about $15 a month and that I didn't want. Make sure to read all the documents very carefully when you go to this store, otherwise the sales person will add features that you don't want so they can make more money from you!!! Also, do not forget that it is not a "real" AT&T store, it is "only" an Authorized Retailer, so if you have any problem with your phone, you have to go back to this store, all the official AT&T store will turn you down. They are the most useless person. read more

My husband and I came into the store on 7th around 7pm we were helped by Sean Smith. He was so helpful my husband who is diabetic was having issues with his phone that had fallen in the water a couple of days prior, he relies on his phone for glucose monitoring with an insulin pump. Sean was so patient with my husband he went over the different phones and we decided to get the 12 pro max. We were so worried that the apps on his phone would not transfer properly but Sean took the time to make sure everything was working. He was able to google how to sink the phone to his insulin pump. we were in the store for about an hour his customer service was outstanding. I am the president of Jackson's Hardware in San Rafael we pride ourselves on customer service and he really impressed me if he could sell hardware I would hire him on the spot. This has to be the absolute WORST store around to upgrade your phone. My goal was to just order an iPhone for my boyfriend for Christmas. I went in and Donald was trying to get me to agree to that monthly ripoff plan with AT&T. Of course I said no. I paid for the phone and Donald told me that I would be sent an email when the phone arrived. I picked it up 3 days ago and have yet to get an email. We tracked the package ourselves and when we went in on Sunday night, Lucio said it wasn't there. We told him yes it is there! He said he never "checked the mailbox". When he went to the mailbox, alas! The phone was there! He also said that since my boyfriend had the old iPhone 3GS, nothing would transfer to the new phone because the 3GS did not have cloud technology. We made him turn the new phone on so we could teach him how, yes, the 3GS DID have cloud technology. I want to get paid for my training of the employees. So while nothing awful happened, these sales people don't give a rats behind about customer service nor do they know much about the phones or the mail from my experience! read more

I went in a couple days ago to lower my bill by switching from U-Verse to Direct TV and Brad helped me get everything figured out. While I was there I was curious about upgrading my phone and again Brad was able to help. I was there working for probably and hour and half and never felt like I was bothering anybody.
