I'm honestly not surprised this shop has been around FOREVER. Every single time I enter this business I'm greeted with kindness and chill vibes. Huge selection of high to low value products, I'm not kidding this place has everything! The biggest shoutout to the staff who always go above and beyond to provide excellent service and always dropping knowledge on products. I'm almost always walking out of this place learning something new. LOVE THE MIGHTY QUINN! Highly recommend. read more

The customer service at this location is exceptional. The staff is so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. And the amount of inventory is amazing. So much groovy stuff for hippies, hill Billies, stoners, and corporate suits. read more

Knowledgeable and friendly very good service knew the inventory. Well the pros and cons of everything will definitely be going back.

yes. Leif's the best counter person, ever! simply the best boutique ever! ...Leif knew exactly what the best value of an 'entry' level bong to acquire, saving me $$$! The bong's with their own label 'Mighty Quinn' pipe that's easy to use...and clean. The bottom of the bong pops off, making it extremely easy to clean. The larger sized water bowl makes one hit after another cool and effective. I'm SO fortunate that Leif knew what bong fit my budget. The bong might not be all 'razzle-dazzle', however 'She', my new girlfriend, the 'Mighty Quinn' generic bong, out performs itself, by a country mile'...every evening, making 'coping' ...and yielding THE MOST AND BEST EFFECTIVE - 'ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT 'REMEDY' TOOL' on Earth. Thank you Leif and The Mighty Quinn! Peace/out 'spun' read more

No one answers the phone. Impossible to know if shop is open without driving there. Not a serious business.

Could've been better. For our trip to The Mighty Quinn their merchandise were all adequate, hence the two stars. Veterans are only an extraordinarily rare 7% of the population and each Served for 100% of America.  Active Duty are an even more extraordinarily rare 0.4% of the population and each Serves for 100% of America. The Mighty Quinn doesn't have a Military / Veterans Discount. That failure is a reflection of The Mighty Quinn's ethos. I believe The Might Quinn should have a Military / Veterans Discount as their thank you to and gratitude for our Active Duty and Veterans. Active Duty and Veterans have each written a blank check to America for "up to and including my life" defending the many Freedoms guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution all so enjoy, including enjoyed by The Mighty Quinn owner(s) and those who work there. Failing to have a Military / Veterans Discount violates The Ten Principles of Burning Man.  It also violates Civic Responsibility, which is the "responsibility of a citizen". Civic Responsibility is comprised of actions and attitudes associated with democratic governance and social participation.  Citizenship means "a productive, responsible, caring and contributing member of society." When I went to write this review, I noticed this business isn't even claimed on Yelp. That tells me the owners don't care what the public thinks about them. read more

I bought a vaporizer there, and it was missing screens. The clerk was a complete asshole, blaming me for something that was missing from the unit. He did not even try to be helpful to supply the missing piece. He wanted to charge me for it. His idea of customer service is to point to the No Refunds sign. Won't be going back there. They don't deserve the support... read more

Love my piece and this is place usually has the most pleasant people working. Not the case today, lady was crazy rude lol. Hopefully her day gets better LOL overall still a great head shop. Can't let one TERRIBLE apple ruin the whole bunch read more

Apparently, the store closes multiple times a day without warning, just a paper on the door saying "Back in 5-10 minutes". Waited the prescribed 5-10 minutes and then left because there was obviously no one there. Would rate it a zero if I could. Advice: be professional and be on time. read more

OVERPRICED. DISHONEST. Purchased a Puffco Peak Pro, 3D atomizer, and hot knife. I work in the cannabis industry, showed my work identification, and asked for a 10% industry discount. Retailers uniformly honor this discount; Mighty Quinn was the first to refuse. Their reason: Puffco regulates its products and does not permit discounts. Puffco has since confirmed this is flatly untrue; vendors are free to do as they wish. Indeed, not only was I denied a discount, but also MQ charged MORE THAN PUFFCO WEBSITE, claiming shipping charges did not apply. This claim is unprecedented. Maybe they have a good selection, but these actions and policies are awful. Recommend shopping online or elsewhere. read more

Terrible customer service. The staff needs to be trained not only on customer experience, but also how they impact the sales of their store. I called to get a pricing and then asked how tall it is, and he replied with "how old are you", I said I was 22 years old. He told me to come in to continue speaking about it and I told him I don't have enough money to come down and potentially not find what I like. He then said well I'm sorry about that have a good night, not in a concerned way but very dismissive. It took longer for him to be rude than it would have been to answer my simple questions. They f**king suck. I called on 01/22/2020 At 7:12pm Might want to see who worked and needs training Or at least a talk about how not to be rude and lose sales read more

Mighty Quinn is a place I like to go if I'm in downtown and just want to window shop. I barely by anything from here because most everything is overpriced. They hardly move product (aside from stuff like rolling papers, spoon pipes...) because they have super high end glass no one can afford. And if they're willing to shell out hundreds or thousands of dollars I think a lot of people buy glass through the glass blower. They have barely any affordable, good glass. I broke my beaker bong and wanted to replace it. Went to Mighty Quinn, wanting to spend about $60-$80. They had nothing in my price range that wasn't a bong with an attached downstem (shitty quality). Go to VIP down the street for a wide selection of affordable glass. Customer service is hit or miss. Some people that work there - specifically a guy with reddish hair - can be super nice and helpful. Other people have been very rude. One girl in particular, I think her name was Jessica (?), was very rude. I came in with my boyfriend before 4/20 and asked if they had any sales. Rather than simply telling us the sales, or handing a helpful flyer on the counter (we didn't see it at the time), she responded with "Uh.... don't you already know about our sales...?" We looked at her and each other, and she said "We have the same sales every year..." When in fact, after the other worker handed us the flyer, they had different sales than usual. We called the manager of the Santa Rosa Mighty Quinn (the largest and the one I really like), he explained she's a new employee and that behavior was uncalled for. Giving us attitude when all she had to do was just tell us the sale! Crappy vape selection for both juices and mods. Again, go to VIP. read more

Guy at the counter was nice, I was just buying some small things, downtube, bowl, etc. prices seemed fair compared to shops in the Haight, SF. Can't comment on bigger ticket items. read more

The Mighty Quinn, well where do I begin? To start this is an average heady glass smoke shop where you could purchase higher quality glass and smoking accessories, This shop has a decent selection of pieces (bongs) but to be quite honest their selection of bangers, bowls, carb caps, dab picks ect.. is not very good at all. the bowls are all average and this location specifically doesn't have anything id want to put on my nicer bongs. Not to mention that their prices on everything are simply ridiculous anything thats in the price you want to pay will most likely be garbage. Now we can talk about their customer service which is a hit or a miss one time I was met by a very nice lady who helped me around the whole store and answered all my questions and while she wasnt very seasoned she still answered them to the best of her abilities and I really appreciated that! Other times you will be met by 'smartass' responses such as 'well thats what happens when you buy the cheap stuff' or bullshit about the money your spending, I have been there numerous times and 9 times out of 10 i'm hearing something about the things I select in terms of the money I'm spending which is ridiculous. I'm not going to buy a bong every time I come in or the best products you guys have in stock and it shouldn't matter because I can buy what I want within my budget. I mentioned a problem I was having with a torch I purchased from there about two weeks ago and was responded with 'well when you buy the cheap stuff thats what happens' which was the most unhelpful and frankly disrespectful response. I try to walk in there with an open mind but I am met with some negativity everytime, not to mention I go there probably once a week yet get carded everytime. I asked if my friend could come in considering he wasn't buying anything and was over 18 years old, it was cold and rainy yet the guy still said no on top of that the sign outside clearly says 18+ WITH ID it fails to mention anything about a medical card. I don't want to go here again and if I do I definitely will never buy another piece from here I won't give customer service like that my hard earned money and you shouldn't either consider making the drive to Big Al's in Berkeley they have a better selection and way better customer service the time you waste at mighty quinn can be used on your commute to Big Al's. I hope they change and become better with their prices but especially with their customer service because the vibe in there is just terrible. read more

This was my local headshop growing up and I still drop in every once in a while. This place was my first papers, first pipe, first binger, first vape, etc. Honestly. They're nice people, and they have good, pretty high-quality products, but it's a MONEY-MAKER. Think because they know you by name and you've probably dropped 3k inside over the years they'll throw in a carrying bag? Hahaha, oh no sir. So overall, I go to berkeley or the city would be my advice, unless you're trying to buy a name brand piece (roor, lux, phx), in which case I go online. but if you gottahave it and Its worth the extra money to you then go for it. Went in very recently, tons of vapes and name-brand bingskys read more

The one & only time I visited the 4th street store I found the employee to be condescending, uninterested in my inquiries or needs... Making my experience very unsatisfactory. If I hadn't needed what I came for & for her to complete my translation by ringing me up I would have left to find a more pleasant environment in which to do my business. However there wasn't an alternative within my radius. I did leave with the intention of never going back. read more

I have been hearing the name Mighty Quinn for decades but never walked through the doors. I went in last night to get an education and was greeted by the nicest guy. I spent over an hour in there with Tanner who walked me through all the products. People came and went and he easily helped everyone. I thought it might be intimidating, but it was anything but that. An added bonus was looking at all the beautiful glasswork. Thanks for a great customer experience and some cool new toys :-) read more

This is hands-DOWN the BEST head/vape shop in the Bay Area, as they have the absolute BEST selection of glass that I've seen in an actual brick and mortar shop. They carry all of the best glass artist's, every type of beautified glass vaping apparatus one could dream of, and has even introduced me to some amazing new artists! As amazing as this store is, their customer service was seriously lacking (I shouldn't feel like I'm being rushed when I'm deciding whether to spend $50 on a dab tool or not), and the prices are (obviously) marked up much higher. However, I suppose that is the price you pay when you don't get to actually see the glass up close, which you don't get when you pay cheaper prices from online stores. A+ on the choice of gorgeous glasswear!! read more

Twas looking for a quality cigar cutter and who knew, they have some here! I didn't find exactly what I was looking for, but they really provided great service and said, "they'll check their inventory in another store and, if it's there, ship it to the shop and call when it arrives." WOW...less than 24 hours later, I get the call and the it's the exact cutter I was looking for!! I paid full boat for an iolite vaporizer ($273 with tax) and it had been returned to the manufacturer in Ireland for warranty service (took more than 2 months -- and the Mighty Quinn said that they were not going to be involved in warranty service -- I spoke to an internet distributor of the same product and they said 'too bad you didn't buy it from us, we would have just replaced it"). After getting it back with the ignition problem resolved, now it has a fuel problem). More exasperating is the fact that several stores in the Bay Area sell the same product for $200, and they will help with warranty service. So the store is overpriced with poor service. What would you rate such a place? read more

I give the Mighty Quinn the best score that is possible! This business has always taken care of me on what seems a personal level, they genuinely care about your well being and are willing to go the extra mile to help you. This is not just sales, but during the COVID19 pandemic. I am incredibly impressed with the way they have handled things. Very smooth and very positive. Extremely helpful. If you need something this is a genuine essential business that will help you; not justly to earn a profit off of you. FIVE STARS! read more

An item was marked $9.99 I get that and a couple other things. I get rung up for $40+. I think maybe things just added up fast. I check my receipt for my three things as I'm going up the stairs. "Oh that thing that said it was $9.99 was rang up for $35. I will simply explain what happened and get the difference or just return the whole thing. No big deal." I only got to the stairs before I turned around. not even out of the store for a minute. We go back in and they are helping another customer for a while before even acknowledging us. Which I understand I don't mind waiting(however the parking meter is running). I explain what happened and asked to just return it or get it for the price whatever works for them. The guy "helping" me is completely rude. He doesn't believe that it was marked $9.99. The sticker fell off while I was looking around, I find it on the floor. "Ugh you JUST found that." Right.. I magically found a tiny sticker for exactly the price I said it was. So after being accused of lying they finally agree to give me store credit. Anything there $35 and under I already have or don't need. And since all that took soo long arguing with me instead of just saying "I'm sorry, there is nothing we can do but give you store credit." I got a parking ticket. The person I was with also spent $100+ that day and we would both go there for papers pipes and everything..or used to. We will not be returning (no pun intended). read more

I like The Mighty Quinn. Not just because it's probably the only headshop in Marin county. Well, mostly because of that. But, also because the prices are pretty good. I only come here when something breaks. I'm pretty well stocked. So, I came to get a new grinder. I was very happy with the one I got. It was kinda pricey but totally worth it. It's heavy duty. I don't think it'll break anytime soon. They had a good selection so I got to feel out the different options and pick what was best for me. The girl at the counter was helpful and patient while I went back and forth between a couple different ones I liked. She answered all of my questions and didn't make me feel rushed. Nice job, Mighty Quinn! read more

I asked about their vocano value kit, they told me its gonna be around 120 bucks for the starter set and 40 buck a piece for the chambor and 40 bucks for the mouth piece. then when I call Pirates Cave they told me the starter set there is 85 bucks and the chambor plus the mouth piece is 40 bucks total. guess which store i went to buy my value kit. thats right Pirates Cave. Mighty Quinn's pipes are alright but their too expensive, Plus you can't barter with them about the prices like some other pipe shops. I use to like the store because of they friendly serves, but when you say some of the words like " bongs" or " hash pipes" they just plain told you " you can't buy pipes here".well I expected better from the frist pipe store in San Rafael. read more

Pretty sweet small place, priceing is high on some items but there is probably some wiggle room. Great selection of pipes accesories. Items such as ashcatchers and bowls id head to sf or berkley for but most else ive got no prob swinging by this place. I didn't spend a ton of time here, but it seemed like a fair-to-middling head shop; the service wasn't amazing but it wasn't lousy, and the prices were equally middle-of-the-road, not super cheap but a better price on the PAX 2 than we found back home in Chicago. They seemed to have a decent selection of just about everything you might want from such a store. I can't really rave about it, but I also didn't get any pushback that would cause me to give it a low rating, and whenever I think about it, I get the Hopeton Lewis cover of the Dylan song stuck in my head, and that's a good thing. read more

Super helpful employees! They have almost everything you could want in stock and they will order it if they don't have it. Love this place!

This was a great, convenient spot up until 2005 or so, but prices/markup have shot through the roof more recently, and as many others here have noted, the young woman cashier they have working there most of the time is intolerable - not helpful, condescending, and rude. In a nutshell, there's generally good incentives to go elsewhere. read more
