Okay there are many other wine locations w/in a mile of here. I was about to go to the others but saw this place had something the others didn't AND I had just come across this place about a month ago wanting to check it out next time in need. So, party plans and wanting some bubbly and I needed a tool for cocktails (they had it!). So, this place is New! (Feels so fresh which is a nice feeling) They had a lot of bubbly in the refrigerators! Fancy stuff for a host or Birthday gift. Great stuff. I was trying to keep it simple but they kept encouraging me to get to 6 for the discount and I did, which is fine. I will try some other brands I am curious about. The people here are super knowledgeable! There was a tasting going on which actually helped eliminate potential purchases. I am actually looking forward to the next time I am looking for white wines. They literally have everything & anything you might need in a more tidy situation. (Not popsicles like at another store-but beverages). Got a great Sancerre here too. Check the coupon discounts on your receipt! I have shopped at this store since it opened, and the selection, prices, and people are very good. But the last two times I went there, they cheated me on the coupon I used. Instead of giving me the $20 off I was entitled to for buying at least $100 of Winery Direct wines (their coupon), they only gave me 10% off for buying at least six bottles. Since I had bought only a little over $100 (pre-discount price), this means they cheated me by about $10. The first time this happened, I didn't notice until I got home and just let it slide. But when it happened again today, the second time in a row, I asked them to correct it and refund the difference to my card. Since this now seems to be happening systematically, I would advise all customers to make sure they get the right coupon amount on their receipt. They seem to be counting on most people not bothering to check, which nets them $10 more in profit (or less, if the purchase amount goes farther above $100). read more

There is some staff on location to stock shelves and jobs are available in Corte Madera. It looks to be a very large store. We just left the beautiful new store in Corte Madera. They had everything we could've wanted, including a lot of unique products at or below the prices of the competitors . Shopping was really enjoyable, we were aided by Matt and Dan, both whom are incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable. We ended up buying a few things that we wanted to try, and a couple things we hadn't seen before. If you need to uplift your spirit with spirits, or just flat out need some liquor, this is the place to go. This is especially if you are in Central or South Marin. They have a great selection of liquor, wines, and even a cigar bar. Save yourself the trip up to Costco, their prices are very competitive, and in some cases even better on their liquor. They were fully staffed, when I went, and was approached by 3 different employees that asked me if I needed help, in my very short 5 minute visit. I love this store! First off they have a huge selection, and you can find anything and everything. We have a well stocked home bar, and had no trouble finding all the little things to make it complete. The store is clean, light and bright. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I purchased Tito's vodka, and it was cheaper than Costco! Also got my favorite Gray Whale gin, and it was $5 cheaper than everywhere else. I added a coupon deal, and the prices were so great! Very excited to have a Total Wine close to home! I have been going to the Santa Rosa, San Ramon, and Sacramento locations when visiting friends. I find that Total Wine carries many beers/ciders from local & smaller craft breweries that I like such as Del Cielo, Ghost Town, Barrel Brothers, Far West, Jackrabbit, Humboldt Cider, and The Bruery. I appreciated that this new Corte Madera location has single cans available so I could try a variety of craft beers without committing to a multi pack. The seasonal craft beer section had so many options! The staff were courteous and helpful, I will be a regular here. read more

It's a great selection, and very good prices. If management is reading this, please improve the checkout process. Today, 2/9/24, it was extremely slow and backed up. It seemed the computer system was not working well. It kept glitching, or wouldn't recognize discount coupons. Many times the cashier would call a manager over to fix it. In the end, I spent about 15 minutes just standing in the checkout line. That's not a good experience. Otherwise, great store! read more

Very rude and unhelpful service by one of the French-speaking employees. I was looking for something specific and after searching on my own for a long time, I got his attention and he just vaguely pointed to an area and said "if it's not there, then we don't have it" and walked away from me. It wasn't there, but because I didn't give up and kept looking in a nearby section, I did find it. That kind of response is terrible for the business and their customers. So disappointing, much better service at BevMo. I hope it's an anomaly because another employee that I had asked assistance from was pretty helpful. read more

I gave TW&M one last try this evening at ~5:00~ (Saturday Oct 12). I wanted guidance on what to bring to a dinner party. As was the case for my last 2 visits, the store was very quiet, with no other customers that I could see. I approached one employee who was very focused on affixing a sign to a display box. As I got close, he shifted his focus and walked away...There was absolutely no way he didn't see me- I was the only other living, breathing, moving being in the area. So I went to the Chardonnay section, saw a wine I wanted on a bottom shelf, attempted to extract it and caused a cacophonous avalanche, and couldn't extract it. This drew no response from the two nearby employees??? I opted to leave, to not continue to patronize this junk show of a retail operation. Based on my three experiences in this store, I have to assume I had the wrong idea of their business model. I was expecting to find knowledgable employees, ready to help me choose the right wine for the occasion. Instead, I found a higher priced BevMo. I was excited to patronize TW&M. I was disappointed by my 3 experiences. I won't be visiting a 4th time. read more
