Well, when this place first opened it was hit or miss. But nowadays they seem to have things dialed in. Competent staff and very wide selection of beer, wine, and spirits, and sometimes, the hard to find bottle of bourbon. read more

Manager and staff are terrible. Yelled at me and my friend and refused to sell us alcohol bc my friend was not 21. No sign saying you're not allowed in if you're not 21 just that you can't buy it. There was also a child in the store so I don't know why it's ok for her to be there but not my friend. Terrible terrible experience. The manager should be ashamed and embarrassed. read more

I did an on-line order for this wine (see attached photo of 2017 vintage). When I showed up at the store I noticed that the wine was actually a 2019 vintage. I brought this up the the staffer who went and checked the shelf and came back and told me that this was an un-vintaged wine. I was like WTF? I clearly has a vintage and I bought a 2017. He explained to me that they just sell whatever corporate sends them and that he has no control over what shows up. He was able to change it on the website almost immediately though to 2019. I needed the wine for an event the next day so I had no choice but to take the new vintage. I sent an email to both corporate and the store manager thinking that they would make some amends. The manager called me the next day and politely explained that they have no control over what shows up on the website and that they just shelve what is sent to them by corporate. In addition he explained what was meant by "un-vintaged." Evidently what that means is that they don't stock and store several vintages like they do with some wines and that because corporate doesn't always update what they've been shipped this can sometimes occur. OK, so he talked me down and I guess I was convinced that it wasn't the store's fault. But still I feel like they should have made some monetary amends for the mistake they made as a corporate entity. so, I was gong to leave it along. But today almost a week later I get an email from corporate saying: Hi! Thanks so much for reaching out to Customer Care about this. Per the information from your order 355673938, the La Rioja Alta Vina Ardanza Reserva 2019 is indeed the correct vintage/item purchased on the order. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. What the actual heck? Did they not even see my original email that VERIFIES that my order was a 2017 vintage. Sheesh, whatever so done with the corporate BS. I will not be returning to this store. read more

Okay there are many other wine locations w/in a mile of here. I was about to go to the others but saw this place had something the others didn't AND I had just come across this place about a month ago wanting to check it out next time in need. So, party plans and wanting some bubbly and I needed a tool for cocktails (they had it!). So, this place is New! (Feels so fresh which is a nice feeling) They had a lot of bubbly in the refrigerators! Fancy stuff for a host or Birthday gift. Great stuff. I was trying to keep it simple but they kept encouraging me to get to 6 for the discount and I did, which is fine. I will try some other brands I am curious about. The people here are super knowledgeable! There was a tasting going on which actually helped eliminate potential purchases. I am actually looking forward to the next time I am looking for white wines. They literally have everything & anything you might need in a more tidy situation. (Not popsicles like at another store-but beverages). Got a great Sancerre here too. Definitely check it out! read more

As a huge fan of tequila, Total Wine & More is my go-to weekly shop to stock up on all my favorite tequila brands. Huge selection of the major tequila brands as well as hard to find and limited release selections. The prices are fantastic, and if you sign up to be a member you can earn points, receive coupons, and have access to discounts. Every employee I've encountered at Total Wine & More has been so friendly, very helpful, and so accommodating. read more

Total Wine and more is coming to Corte Madera. Other branches of chain store are located in SF and So Bay. Currently the fixtures are in and staff is being hired. There is some staff on location to stock shelves and jobs are available in Corte Madera. It looks to be a very large store. I'm told, there is plenty of room for Napa, Sonoma and international varieties of wine. read more

Check the coupon discounts on your receipt! I have shopped at this store since it opened, and the selection, prices, and people are very good. But the last two times I went there, they cheated me on the coupon I used. Instead of giving me the $20 off I was entitled to for buying at least $100 of Winery Direct wines (their coupon), they only gave me 10% off for buying at least six bottles. Since I had bought only a little over $100 (pre-discount price), this means they cheated me by about $10. The first time this happened, I didn't notice until I got home and just let it slide. But when it happened again today, the second time in a row, I asked them to correct it and refund the difference to my card. Since this now seems to be happening systematically, I would advise all customers to make sure they get the right coupon amount on their receipt. They seem to be counting on most people not bothering to check, which nets them $10 more in profit (or less, if the purchase amount goes farther above $100). read more

We just left the beautiful new store in Corte Madera. They had everything we could've wanted, including a lot of unique products at or below the prices of the competitors . Shopping was really enjoyable, we were aided by Matt and Dan, both whom are incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable. We ended up buying a few things that we wanted to try, and a couple things we hadn't seen before. We were really surprised at how much more pleasant the experience was here than similar stores read more

I think Total Wine & More is great and a wonderful addition to Corte Madera. The staff are friendly and helpful, the inventory is enormous, and the pricing is excellent and competitive! I will and do return! read more

I love this store! First off they have a huge selection, and you can find anything and everything. We have a well stocked home bar, and had no trouble finding all the little things to make it complete. The store is clean, light and bright. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I purchased Tito's vodka, and it was cheaper than Costco! Also got my favorite Gray Whale gin, and it was $5 cheaper than everywhere else. I added a coupon deal, and the prices were so great! We are going to become regulars at Total Wine & More. Want to give a shout out to the pretty gal handing out tasters of a fizzy booze drink. She was super nice, and I loved the drink. Thanks! read more

Very excited to have a Total Wine close to home! I have been going to the Santa Rosa, San Ramon, and Sacramento locations when visiting friends. I find that Total Wine carries many beers/ciders from local & smaller craft breweries that I like such as Del Cielo, Ghost Town, Barrel Brothers, Far West, Jackrabbit, Humboldt Cider, and The Bruery. I appreciated that this new Corte Madera location has single cans available so I could try a variety of craft beers without committing to a multi pack. The seasonal craft beer section had so many options! The staff were courteous and helpful, I will be a regular here. read more

If you need to uplift your spirit with spirits, or just flat out need some liquor, this is the place to go. This is especially if you are in Central or South Marin. They have a great selection of liquor, wines, and even a cigar bar. Save yourself the trip up to Costco, their prices are very competitive, and in some cases even better on their liquor. They were fully staffed, when I went, and was approached by 3 different employees that asked me if I needed help, in my very short 5 minute visit. I'll definitely be back whenever I need to restock the bar. read more

Kevin went out of his way to locate Gluten Free and non alcoholic beer for me. As a Celiac sufferer I really appreciate when people help me get the food and drink that is safe. I've been a fan a long time shopping at Total Wine & More in the Midwest for years. Therefore, now that Total Wine is a couple miles away, I'm thrilled! Wide-ranging selection, friendly & helpful staff, good prices all add up to an awesome shopping experience. Now I can remain a happy LOCAL customer. Yeah! Plus, they have Dot's Pretzels & Cheese Curls-some of my fave crunchy snacks! read more

It's a great selection, and very good prices. If management is reading this, please improve the checkout process. Today, 2/9/24, it was extremely slow and backed up. It seemed the computer system was not working well. It kept glitching, or wouldn't recognize discount coupons. Many times the cashier would call a manager over to fix it. In the end, I spent about 15 minutes just standing in the checkout line. That's not a good experience. Otherwise, great store! read more

Very rude and unhelpful service by one of the French-speaking employees. I was looking for something specific and after searching on my own for a long time, I got his attention and he just vaguely pointed to an area and said "if it's not there, then we don't have it" and walked away from me. It wasn't there, but because I didn't give up and kept looking in a nearby section, I did find it. That kind of response is terrible for the business and their customers. So disappointing, much better service at BevMo. I hope it's an anomaly because another employee that I had asked assistance from was pretty helpful. read more

This store is FANTASTIC! As a realtor, I was looking for a place to host my First Time Home Buyer Happy Hour Class and Total Wine checked all the boxes. Anthony, the manager, and Albert provided amazing customer service in helping us schedule the room, familiarize ourselves with the tech, order wine, and handle all details. They have the widest, best selection of wines and spirits...I could spend so long walking around the store. We have already scheduled our next event at this Total Wine and look forward to it. Top notch, friendly customer service. Thank you, Anthony! read more

Good selection, friendly staff, clean store. But they priced 1L of Campari at $41.99 and a 750ML at $22.99. Assuming this was an honest mistake, they should look into it. read more

I gave TW&M one last try this evening at ~5:00~ (Saturday Oct 12). I wanted guidance on what to bring to a dinner party. As was the case for my last 2 visits, the store was very quiet, with no other customers that I could see. I approached one employee who was very focused on affixing a sign to a display box. As I got close, he shifted his focus and walked away...There was absolutely no way he didn't see me- I was the only other living, breathing, moving being in the area. So I went to the Chardonnay section, saw a wine I wanted on a bottom shelf, attempted to extract it and caused a cacophonous avalanche, and couldn't extract it. This drew no response from the two nearby employees??? I opted to leave, to not continue to patronize this junk show of a retail operation. Based on my three experiences in this store, I have to assume I had the wrong idea of their business model. I was expecting to find knowledgable employees, ready to help me choose the right wine for the occasion. Instead, I found a higher priced BevMo. I was excited to patronize TW&M. I was disappointed by my 3 experiences. I won't be visiting a 4th time. read more
