Other pluses: - plenty of free parking out front. - it's conveniently located next door to Extreme Pizza (just in case you're hungry). - Pricing is on par with other liquor stores and grocery markets. I was able to purchase a bottle of Cazadores Tequila Blanco for $23 (it's usually priced in the high 20s). - The employees are adhering to all the proper Covid safety protocol. All in all, I was in and out in less than 5 minutes, and the cashier bagged my booze and said "thank you" and "have a nice day" - which is something you just don't find at a lot of liquor stores.

Especially in California, where customer service can sometimes feel... optional. Today sealed it for me. There was a woman in front of me who was brand new to wine and planning an event. Instead of rushing her through checkout, one of the staff members walked her through what to serve, how much to buy, what would pair well -- the whole thing. Then he casually mentioned that you can actually request a tasting with their general manager, where they'll open multiple bottles and guide you through them so you feel confident in your picks. Excuse me? Since when does a liquor store offer sommelier-level consulting? Meanwhile, other stores (you know the ones) are charging significantly more for half the service and none of the personality. Here? They'll open a bottle. They'll educate you. They'll never rush you. They're always fully staffed -- like four knowledgeable people on the floor at all times -- and they even offer to load your car. Every. Single. Visit. Who does that anymore? The pricing is equally wild. Buy-one-get-one-for-five-cents promos. Case clear-outs in the center of the store -- today I saw $40 cases of wine that retail for around $20 a bottle. It's almost more affordable than Costco, but without the fluorescent lighting and existential dread. They also price match. They do tastings. Fun activations. Sampling. The selection is massive, but it doesn't feel like a chaotic bulk warehouse. It feels curated. Intentional. Thoughtful. I haven't been to every location, but this one? Impeccable. To tide us over we picked up some hummus and salsa with hand ground absolutely amazing tortilla chips. The market boasts several tables outside and they were quite comfortable while we worked through our snacks. At first no one acknowledged me and the kids walking in and wasn't sure if we should seat ourself. Had to ask two different persons what to do to get a seat. A few minutes later I saw the host and she said oh yea we got a table for two adults and 3 lil kiddos! This is a pro (considering in SF you can wait up to half an hour!). Shout out to the chefs, Youssef- quirky guy, and Khephra- loved that she chatted w the kiddos! Sweet folks who were attentive, personable, quick to respond to whatever the boss babies needed! They even brought out slices of oranges since the kiddos were eyeing it in our Old Fashioned cocktails! Happy the food came out quick! Youssef even recommended dessert and brought out the bread pudding - never considered dessert but he knew this would make the boss babies happy (couldn't take a pic, was gone in seconds!). I'm a long time World market customer, and huge fan of their merchandise. This location has a pretty large inventory ranging from furniture (living room, dining, desks), home decor, curtains, rugs, beer and wine, imported food, jewelry, kitchenware, gift items, etc. The shopping center parking lot is a hot mess though. Especially on the weekends, there seem to be more customers than parking spaces. Plus since there is only one way in and out, and the street has no designated turn lane, it causes a bottleneck on entering and exiting. Heck it even takes awhile to walk from the parking lot into the shop because the cars just don't seem to want to stop for pedestrians. Too busy jockeying for a space.
