As soon as this place is back open, you should GO! As a long-timer I've done my research and she's got the best! I'm hearing she's got a small retail general store in Fairfax right now at 61 Bolinas, and keep your ear out for a new dispensary in the new year. read more

I'm not a huge Cannabis consumer. I was more interested in meeting Lynette and hearing her talk about the products! She's a super cool person and strong business woman. I did buy some pre-rolled joints. Highly recommend the pre-rolled! Solid flavor, as requested! She offers a huge selection of products. You want edibles, she's got them. You want to vape, she got them. You need a new charger for your existing vape, she's got those, too. She has it all. I'm giving her a three because of the vibe of the shop. I've visited other dispensaries that have a more lax security and feel less like a corner store. read more

This place is OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive. Don't waste your money or time here. You will pay double of what everywhere else is charging.

I think this place is legendary and the staff is amazing. I've noticed a few negative reviews on here about prices. If you don't like how much something costs then don't buy it, simple. Stop complaining like sissies and shop elsewhere. #Positive vibes read more

Do not but any plants from Marin Alliance. They are selling 5 gallon containers with a 4 inch pot buried within. See photos. Debora would not compensate in any way. Said "not my problem". Any plants are worth $50 even if we sold it as a 5 gallon plant and it was really only in a 4 inch pot. Please pass along. This was downright fraud. read more

Overpriced by a lot. Shop elsewhere. Sure this place has history, but my god what a rip-off.

Personal who helped us was only knowledgeable about a few things. Not very personable. Most irritating thing was that a woman held my son's driver's license and medical marijuana card for the entire time we were in the store. She questioned us about the name of the doctor in a rather abrupt and rude manner, and sat trying to verify at her computer for quite some time. It's a totally valid card and she did not scrutinize other people's cards who came in with an under 21 year old license. I also am informed this is a delivery only licensed business but they handed us our product and we walked out the main door. Finally, the edibles were way over priced. By 33%. Ridiculous pricing. read more

VERY EXPENSIVE. My favorite $15 edible is $24. Everything there is too expensive. And they wanted to charge me "to join" to shop there. The employees have a bad attitude. I'll drive to east bay with gas and toll costs to save money but mainly onprimciple. read more

Overpriced!!! You will literally pay double here than anywhere else. It's worth paying the toll to pick up in the city.

Over the years, whenever in Fairfax I USE to always stop in and make a purchase, mostly to support the only brick and mortar cannabis storefront in Marin (even though better selection and pricing can be found elsewhere). Never had a problem renewing my card annually until.....went in to make a purchase and the owner was behind the counter. When I pulled out my card, she looked at it and very nastily said it was expired and literally grabbed it out of my hand. I said no problem, let me renew it and am then informed she is now charging $39 for a card. Of all the places one can purchase cannabis products (including delivery), to my knowledge hers is the only company charging an upfront fee! Well, you have lost another customer, and from reading your reviews, I am definitely not the only one. read more

MARIN PRICING. Out of principal, I just could not give them business, even though I know how instrumental they've been w/ legalization. If you want to pay $20 more for the same cart then definitely shop here. If not, try Flora Terra in Santa Rosa. read more

Awesome!!! 5 stars I had a lot of questions and everyone was very accommodating and helpful. They also had a really great selection of flower and pre-rolls. I'm definitely coming back! Love&Peace read more

No good. The least helpful people work here. Very little product choice. Got some pre rolled bones that were just awful. When you call in to see if they have something -they are not willing to help you or to stoned to know what you are talking about With so many great delivery services in Marin (I like "The Nice Guys" delivery) why bother - these services are better than a storefront. Move on- Marin Alliance your time in the sun has passed. read more

Ms. Gibson, who said she was an owner of this buisiness, was so out of control that I ran away from her.   I was knocking on the door because they had closed 5 minutes early.  I was knocking loudly because I knew the budtender, and he knew me and he liked me.  I thought that if he heard me then he would help me, especially since they closed 5 minutes early. I knocked and the door slammed open and Ms. Gibson came out like a pitbull. She didn't say "hello"; she just started yelling at me aggressively.  I wasn't trying to fight anyone, I was just trying to knock loud enough so you could hear me.  The door whipped open and Ms. Gibson was screaming at me, not yelling; she was screaming and chasing. She was in attack mode and I actually was scared enough to go to my car and lock the doors. I was bigger than her, but I don't need any of that drama. I later found out that she's the business owner. WOW! Clearly, I no longer am a customer, but because of this I found out how cheap delivery prices are. I mean $100 for a decent ounce delivered! It all worked out. read more

This is an update for my previous review. I bought several mature cannabis plants/teens from Marin Alliance CBC in the late spring/early summer, and I was very satisfied with the strain selection, low prices, and size and health of the plants. All of my plants grew to be very large, healthy, and beautiful. All have been remarkably pest-resistant compared to other plants I started from clones I got elsewhere. They are all very close to harvest and I can see that my ladies will provide a largish yield of very nice flower. I will try to take some photos and post them later. Bottom line, Marin Alliance CBC is the place to go around here for reasonably priced, high quality mature cannabis plants/teens. read more

I really can't explain any of the negative reviews for Marin Alliance on Yelp. Jori greeted us at the door and was fun, courteous and very helpful! For a small dispensary, there was a nice selection of products that were all very reasonably priced. I was more than happy with my pre-roll, vape cartridge and infused beverage choices! I'd highly recommend it's worth checking out! read more

Great local spot go see my boi Pat..Great customer service recommend a great Pre roll .. old school process of funds .. but well wroth it .. definitely will try again read more

Their selection leaves a lot to be desired. Very limited product variety and extremely high prices. If we had any other dispensary in Marin I would recommend it, but we don't- largely because of this establishment and it's politics. read more

5 Stars For Lynette Shaw! I haven't been to her club in over a decade, so I don't know about that, but I do know is... Lynette Shaw is a S-hero and a County Treasure, and a Ganga Goddess. She's been fu&%# with and abused in ways even the men in industry haven't ever experienced. She's held the Front Line for Decades and if she seems a bit weird, and sometimes she kind of does, just know those are the scars from the battle she fought for us! That woman has trudged the sewers of hell for this cause. I don't know her well, but when her shop first opened, I was on a brutal form of Chemo; her first question to me was always, "How are you-Are you being careful?" Then it was, " Do you have the attorney's number? Make sure you have it...call me if you have a problem." She's hand me a card, then she'd remind me of the laws and tell me how to legally defend myself. I'm proud that we have her in Marin County. Let me just put this in context... In Marin, even when it's legal, marijuana isn't allowed to be dispensed to responsible adults. Try to image what it must have been like for Lynette when it wasn't legal. I mean the voters have spoken, there's a consensus, the social and cultural contract has been amended...yet Marin says no!?! It might even be a good thing that we don't let just anyone sell Marijuana in this county. But Lynette isn't just anyone! read more

LYnette Shaw is the Godmother of medical marijuana in America, California and the rest of the world We all owe her sooooo much and Lynette, if you need anything, I got you This place was the first medical marijuana collective to open in America/California, on my 16th birthday, November 5th 1996 (this is how i remember it at least) My whole family, my life, bombdoggenetics, the whole medical marijuana scene owe you and love you and are sooooo grateful for what a beautiful woman and person you are THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH LYNETTEEE!!!! GODMOTHER!!! GODMOTHER!!!! GODMOTHER!!!! This is my NOrcal shop all day everyday and you gotta support this place and all the people behind it and the history behind it i owe you my life and soul, Lynette thank you for changing history, like i'm trying to do AND YASSSSSSD!!!! IT IS FINALLY RE-OPEN!!!!! DO WHATEVER YOU GOTTA DO TO SUPPORT THEM AND THE AMAZING COMMUNITY AND BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE OF MARIN AND FAIRFAX!!!!!! i just wanted you to know that read more

Way too expensive. I spent $25 for 100mg gummies which can be had as low as $10 other places. Its also just weird. Only three people allowed in at a time so a line forms outside right next to where the kids play baseball. They can't actually sell you anything at the store so you need to walk next door and do the deal, supposedly so it qualifies as a delivery. read more

For some reason my negative review is being deleted. Not sure how that is, but it's happening. Every time I go to this establishment, I am waiting for a long time to be seen, by the time I am helped, they do not have what I want and the few times that I have gotten product that was supposedly organic, I could taste the chemicals and as a 20 year stoner, I know the differences. I know why their shelves are lacking. They rip off their vendors and no one wants to supply the place, plain and simple. When you don't pay people for your product, word gets around and others don't want to help. Besides that, asking to consign thousands of dollars for two months at a time is crazy. This is a well established dispensary that shouldn't need to have its product consigned. I know all of this from personal experiences. I wish that I could say this is a great dispensary, but the fact of the matter is that it's not. This place has caused me many issues by not paying me thousands as promised for my product. I was ripped off and because of that, many other people in the industry will not help this place. Pay your vendors and you'll be able to get better product and in return, more customers! read more

Product is stored in plastic bags under lights so it's dry and brittle. And it tastes like chemical fertilizer. Also, please refer to the other 1 star review here for further warnings. The one reason to go here may be for edibles, but given the breakdown of business practice in this other 1 star review, I hesitate to even support this place. read more

Glad a place like this exists in Marin. Quick, easy, immediate, no wait, no minimum, really nice people! I usually buy pre-rolls - they have a great selection! read more

Lynet Shaw owes many Farmers for Flowers she never paid for. That's just not right! She might be thinking she is actually 'The Godfather"!

Welcome Back Marin Alliance and Lynette Shaw! Long considered the founder of Medical Marijuana Dispensaries in California, her new shop (at the original location) and dispensary in Fairfax is a real asset to the community. read more

Don't go here. They lie and are not friendly. I called them and told them specifically what I was coming for and they told me they had it. Drove all the way there and ........no we don't have it. What a waste of time. The guy didn't even apologize. I will be going to Marin Gardens or Cotati or even SF. Anywhere but here. No cool read more

Wow! The new selection is amazing thank you Marin Alliance for having a wonderful selection to fulfill my needs

I have been coming here for years. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. The menu is broad in smokables, edibles and topicals and very reasonably priced. There is a small waiting room with a lively parrot to keep you entertained. They also will help in scheduling medical evaluations. Always an easy and pleasant experience. read more

Just as another yelper has stated, the owner(Lynette Shaw)of this dispensary could care less about her customers, employees or the vendors she rips off. I worked there and had an incredible amount of people coming in to be paid, only to leave very angry. She does rip her vendors off and because of that, she has very few people who will consign a quality product. She only receives the bottom of the barrel that most do not want at this point. She is known by many as the "godmother of cannabis", but these people have never done business with her and have only listened to her speak about her false compassion, which she has made and still is making a great deal of profit from. Please do not be fooled people. I have known this women ever since she opened the fairfax club in the 90's. She was ripping people off then and still is today. The big difference now, is that people have a choice where to go. Previously, because of the owner of this clubs political ties, she was able to stop other clubs from entering Marin. Well thanks to today's policy's, there are other options, which anyone who is thinking of purchasing good herb should go elsewhere. Her products are poor and she could really care less about her patrons. Just as another yelper has shared, BEWARE!!!! read more
