This businesses customer service is actually trash. This place is constantly full of customers and from what I see- not much is getting done, it has to be understaffed or maybe these people don't know what their doing. Also, every month I come in to pay the phone bill in cash and every single time including today the computer/register is down and no one can tell me why or when it will be fixed, today there was 13 people in the building and everyone was just waiting sitting on their phones for the computers to start working. Also- why do I need to check in everytime jus to pay a bill??? I don't need anymore than 2 minutes dedicated to completing my transaction. So why isn't there just one person dedicated to the register handling bill payments?? Absolute trash store. Employees useless. Came in JUST to get a phone case. Waited 45 minutes while there pretty much was no customers there and 3 other employees (2 were busy) in the back chilling while I wasted my time like an idiot. Asked front checker dude to help me he said hold on went tot he back and never came out. I got pissed and left. Called to speak to manager. All she said was sorry. I went in to get my daughter a new phone. They were trying to talk me into get a watch as well and said they would wave the activation fees so I agreed. He never waved them and when I went he they said he was gone for a week. I messaged him on the phone number I was given and he didn't answer. They also told us to turn in her old phone into the store after all the info was erased. We went in and the systems were down. Had to go back and the person who helped us said we need to mail it in so I had call customer service and arrange it through them. This is the second time I've came in to try and remove 3 lines on the family account onto their own account. And it has been extremely difficult to do just that. In store won't touch it because they say i have to call wireless. I call 611 and ask to speak to the specific department and everyone claims they can help then have me running in circles giving my phone number and code. For 20 minutes only to be told that they cannot handle my request. And once transferred, you guessed it. They hang up on me. And I start the cycle all over again. Who would've thought cancelling a line even to try and go to Verizon and nope. My social security would still be tied to it. And I'm still on the phone as I write this review. AT&T you need to do better. I come from a customer service management background from a huge retailer and this is unacceptable & at this point ridiculous. read more

Went in here to get a new phone. The employee Jazmine R was very cold and rude, any questions I had were met with short / annoyed responses. I asked about phone insurance and told her I did not want it, she said "it comes with your phone and you have to pay for it" well after calling 611, I found out that is not at all the case. They removed it for me and credited me. She straight up just lied. I don't know if they get commission for that or what, but I really don't appreciate being forced into a service I don't want. Not that there's any sign when you walk in to instruct you where to go, if needed. Of course the guy that came in after me (even after my fiancé came late and joined me) was then approached by an employee. They took his name and put in the tablet for further customer service. These people are thieves. I spoke with one lady because I wanted to upgrade my husband phone. I traded in my old phone and they "added" the $250 for the credit. I'm looking on my plan and the credit was never added and it said phone was returned. The phone was never returned and we aren't receiving the credits. Came here bought a phone , my mother added a line for me because I was using T-Mobile , anyways this was three months ago the manager told us that she was going to add the line wrote it down on a sticky note, and she never did , my phone was disconnected today, we called att my mom payed for the phones but apparently the manager never added the line to my moms account so she has TWO separate accounts and my mom is stuck with a $400 bill because of their mistake , we went into the store and the manager told us we had to pay it in order for her to cancel the line.As soon as my mom got on the phone with the AT&T Company ,the manager quickly lowered the amount from $400 to $100 , my mom payed and they said the line would be closed and that my mom was going to receive a check ,never did. Update : today I got a letter in the mail and apparently my line was never close ,we got a paper in the mail saying that we are getting sent to collections, I don't understand how their running this store!!!!! multiple times we've come back and been on the phone trying to fix everything !!! ‍ as much as I don't like giving poor reviews ,this at&t store deserves it , I wish I could give no stars, I do not recommend coming here, the one at the mall is way better , and worth the drive! read more

Went into the AT&T store on March 12 to pay my bill. The establishment was full of workers, but for some reason they were just standing around, fidgeting with their fingers, not helping anyone. I kept trying to get their attention but I was ignored or shrugged off. Keep in mind that this store was filled with unattended customers besides me. Out of nowhere and older women/employee comes in with a huge box of popeyes(from next door). Simultaneously all the retail workers run to the break room and leave the store unattended. Everyone who was at a customer, looked at each other, clueless to what just happened. We were completely unaware of what to do next. Unfortunately, I had to wait to pay my bill or else I would get a late fee. Finally the workers came out reeking of chicken and fryer grease. Waited another 30 minutes to get attended. I asked the man attending me if it was normal for all of workers to go into lunch at the same time. He proceeded to insult me by calling me an slow, and saying that I wasn't aware of the laws that AT&T follows? LAWS? I told him to give me corporate's number, but he refused to and then he took off his name badge so I wouldn't get his information. And to put the cherry on the top when he returned my bill to me, it was covered with chicken grease from his fingers. read more

I'm a customer with AT&T since 2009. I went to this store to upgrade my phone and renew my contract. This store has horrible customer service. If your time is not important and you like to be ignored, this is the store for you ! Waited several minutes and left. I went in to get assistance for a new phone and the first person who helped us, I believe his name was Milton, was not helpful at all. Barely looked up to say anything, he starred at his paper writing notes and when asked where something was he simply pointed. However, his shift was over so he passed us on to the next person (thankfully), his name was Eric. Eric made that connection with us and was so very helpful. He got us what we needed without any hesitation and he seemed to enjoy his job and helping others. Unfortunately I've been to this location multiple times and every time it's a headache. The manager and the store associates always rude and take their sweet time to help you out. Called this store ahead of time to see if they had a device in stock, they said yes so I drove from a different location to come here. When I arrive there was a big wait even told them what I was there for so they made me an appointment to come back. I come back and they then tell me that the device I called about they actually did not have it! So I had to come to this location twice for absolutely nothing. The staff needs to be more ontop of there shit. They offered for me to order device so I said ok fine, they had workers standing around and I waited around for 15 minutes and nobody helped me. I have never been treated so rudely by a "customer service" employee before. Her name was Diana. I came to this AT&T store to get removed from a family plan and get my own line. I was told previously by AT&T that I could have my mom call or sign and say it was okay for me to released, so I brought a paper with the account number and signature saying she was authorizing me to be released. When I got to the store, I explained the situation to Diana and she was rude and short with me and said in a condescending and unprofessional manner that the paper wouldn't be valid and she would have to call instead. I told her that would not be a problem, but throughout the conversation she continued to belittle and talk to me in a discourteous manner. I would avoid this AT&T store. They give conflicting information compared to online and to their customer service number. AVOID this store. I'd recommend the Turlock store instead. read more

Unless you are hispanic, don't expect to have a good service.. I went there just to replace my sim card and the girl at the entrance told me there were 2 other people ahead of me. I arrived seconds before a family of 4 did. I was patient and spent a little time looking around. Not 2 minutes go by, the family of 4 was already at the desk. When I asked the girl what my place was, she told me there were 3 people ahead of me. Seconds after hearing I was screwed of my position, I called at&t and told them I wanted to go someplace else where all customers were treated equally and not based of their race. I guess the girl over heard my conversation and she immediately approached me and told me that there was only 1 person ahead of me. I told her to take me off of the list because I was going someplace else. I ended up going to the at&t on 1600 McHenry Ave. in Modesto. They were very friendly and accomodating and when I told the people of my experience at the Ceres at&t, they were VERY apologetic. I've visited this location in the past and have always loved the customer service but never really Yelped but that soon will change. Had a problem with a mistaken order from AT&T web site, and these guys took the package, arranged for return shipping, credited my account, and informed corporate the phones were safe and sound. Worst customer service. What else to expect from att. Wait time is always long, and once you're helped, it's "call 1-800 for help, we can't helps you." I ordered the new iPhone 6plus, says they'll call me within a few days. I called back 3 times and left 3 messages with the guy that helped me and no returned call back. 1 week and a half later, I return to the store to cancel my order, and the same guy shows up handing me my new phone. I said no thank you, I'm returning everything. I went to Best Buy where they gave me better service and for the same price I would have paid at att, they gave me a case, car charger and a screen protector for free! Not just att can do things anymore now other stores can sell you phones sometimes at much better price but best of all, what matters to me is, better Customer Service! I even got a free iPhone (kinda contract on that one but oh well). Everyone was really friendly. I didn't know any of my passwords and they help me reset all of them. All my things got moved from my old phone to my new phone (something T-Mobile would always avoid when I'd jump to a new phone). They made it easy. read more

I am a manager at a fast food rasturant and i know how customers can get sometimes and I always send my customers back with a smile. I never complain but this incident got me in shock. I went today after work around 4 in modesto on hatch. One of the girl, instead of helping me was being very rude and disrespectful. I was trying to ask her for help but she started arguing and saying that she is right and I am very dumb to understand what she was trying to explain. When I asked to talk to the manager, she rolled her eyes and went to get her manager. America Laura, the manager comes out and when I discussed with her about her employees behavior, she didn't apologize and said what can I help you with. When I talked to her about my problem she started ignoring and said there is nothing she could do about it. Now, I know where the employees got the attitude from. Even though the problem was not even that big. It was fixable but she just wanted to be rude and disrespectful. It is the time that someone needs to step up and look into the matter and see how they treat their customer. It is unbelievable that I am paying for my services and treated like I am nothing. Just to let you know that it was fixable and they did fix it for me with the smile on their face and said it was nothing big. And they apologize for your rude behavior and they did not have to do that. They were in shock to hear that even the manager couldn't handle the situation.
