Updated review. Again, amazing customer service. We don't walk out ever spending a ton of money without also saving a ton too. The gentleman who helped us was great. I cannot remember his name, I will blame my memory issues from TBI. He was in his late 40s and had a shaved head and loved to travel and was from Forest Grove and grew up in Salem. He was great, super friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. He helped us find savings and upgrade a phone and buy accessories. It's so nice when you spend time somewhere doing something like buying a new phone and are truly taken care of by a knowledgeable salesman not just trying to rip you off. The worst customer service ever! They looked at me and while with a customer, asked why I was there. I wanted to discuss switching. He said there are a couple people ahead of you and there was nobody in the store. Also a sales associate was free with no customers. Horrible worst terrible!!!! read more

Yep....... reviews are spot on here. Ordered a new iPhone with att over the phone...... but they made a mistake and sent the wrong model..... called this store and was told I could drive down and exchange it...."no problem" Drove a half hour to then have the "manager" tell me it would cost $55 for "re-stocking" ...... you can restock my balls. 5 dimwits standing around doing nothing and they want $55 for a simple exchange. Stay away........ AT&T said there should have been no charge for their mistake. Get these balls. read more

BAD SERVICE!!! I could tell that the employee didn't want to help me. I order a new phone and took it in to have my information transferred (iphone6 to a 7) The guy told me that I could do it at home because it was going to take at least 1 hr... I told him I wasn't in a hurry, he didn't look happy and started talking Spanish to the other employees. Employee #2 started telling employee #1 how he should go get everyone dinner when I go out of there, employee #3 started using the computer to order a perfume that she really wanted. I told employee #1 that I would be back in an hour since I was getting my haircut next door, he then told me that he would let me use their wifi and it should reach next door so he wouldn't have to see my face again. Some years ago, I went to Italy. (Trust me. This is germane to the point.) When I landed in Milan, I learned quickly that baggage-handling was done to a different standard. All of the bags were unceremoniously dumped in the middle of the floor in the terminal; they had one person checking baggage-tags, which meant that nearly anyone could walk in and take a bag. A lot of luggage was lost in transit. To 'solve' that problem, they had a bank of six terminals, all taking lost-luggage complaints. A ten-year-old would have figured out that it would have been far easier to simply fix the abysmal luggage-handling process than to institutionalize mediocrity by installing the terminals. That was my experience at AT&T this weekend. I went in to find out if there were any in-store deals, as my contract was up and it was time to renew - I was, according to them, eligible for an upgrade. When I went into the store, there were three couples and two other 'single' customers (I was one of them). A young man was walking around with a computer tablet; he approached me and said he wanted to 'check me in'; he took some information and told me it would be 'just a few minutes'. I checked out the variant phones on display; as I'd done the research ahead of time, I really didn't need to spend more than five minutes doing the 'touchy-feely' thing. I found a seat on a padded bench in the display area, and waited. And waited. And waited..... About 45 minutes later, a young lady approached me. She was also carrying a tablet. The conversation went like this: "Hi! I'd like to check you in!" (Pointing to the young man behind the counter) "He already did that." "Well, I need to do it again. Can you tell me why you're here?" ('Gee', I thought. 'Now's a great chance to make a snarky comment. Something like, "I'm here for the free pretzels", or "I heard a good movie was showing."') "Uh - I already told the other fellow. I'm due for an upgrade. I'm considering a new phone." "Well, can I help you?" My patience was at an end at this point. I said, "I don't know. Can you? Can you make the wait shorter? Get me the last 45 minutes of my life back? Can you make a deal here, or do I have to wait for someone else?" (Blank stare) "Uh - no. But I can tell them why you're here." She made some notes in her tablet, and walked away. I left five minutes later, after again (apparently) becoming invisible to the staff. (Observation: Business is simple. Product is manufactured; then sold. If the demand is high, then more people are hired to take care of that demand. It follows that in a retail setting, everyone on the floor should be empowered to make a deal on the spot. Otherwise, the business winds up in a situation like this one - where the time of an employee is spent institutionalizing the mediocrity of 'checking people in' - rather than selling them product and services, which is why those customers are there in the first place. If the personnel can't be trusted to make a deal and make the company money, then the company has the wrong personnel. If the personnel have the ability and the business acumen, but not the authority, then *the company's business model is wrong.* But hey. This is AT&T - and common sense isn't that common, apparently.) read more

I've been looking to upgrade my iPhone for some time now. Every online or store visit it hasn't really made sense until Chris K came through for me. I told him what I wanted he walks to the back pops back out with my New Gold iPhone 6, then proceeds to break down my bill to me...now it's been attempted before but he made it really make sense and was very straight up about my options. Thanks to him I am saving almost a $1,000 by getting this new phone. Timing is everything and I am a believer in great customer service, Chris exceeded that and is one of the reasons I'll stay with AT&T and not shop around. I was up and running with everything transferred pretty quick and I'm glad I checked one more time...oh and thanks Oregon, no sales tax! Absolutely the worst service provider in the world, if not in the country. The store sales guys have no idea how to fix anything. The phone representatives try to falsely and fraudulently sell things to you saying it's "free", just to meet monthly targets and not reading out the terms and conditions. Should just drag them to court and sue them for fraud/ lies and cheating customers. Worst and greediest people running the service. read more

This store used to be excellent. In the last year it has gone downhill. Usually only one service rep and some trainee checking you in. Waited 30+ min and still no assistance. The only thing these stores can do now is sell phones. BEWARE OR DIRECT TV. I received a recurring DIRECT TV NOW on my bank account and NEVER approved sign up. Now in litigation. In the 2 years I had AT&T, I have always had a pleasant experience minus once only. Only one employee ever was unfriendly, but the half dozen others I worked with were great. I think it's important when rating these types of places, to go more than once, to see if everyone is on the same page, or a mixed bag. Fortunately this is a place where you are much more likely to be assisted by a professional and nice employee. Now that I switched carriers I guess I shouldn't go back there for assistance lol, but shute, my experience with my new carrier in both Hillsboro locations was bad in one and worse in the other. In one location they were not unpleasant but not skilled at all, messing with my phone, changing the settings, then not knowing how to change it back, only causing me more problems. and in the other they were super unfriendly *and* unable to perform the most common tasks (porting my number), and with attitude. This isn't a Verizon, Tmobile, Sprint, AT&T service issue, every location for every carrier has knowledgeable and nice people, just as they have rude under qualified staff members. I am very tempted to switch back just because I cannot go to my current carriers store here, though they are at least much better at the location near my home. I am not technically inclined see....so I need a go to store that can fix small issues that arise. It's a lot about luck in general, but this store you are more likely to luck out than not. read more

Shane Crowder the store manager is a very rude man and should not be in customer service. He is the last person a dissatisfied Customer should got with their relative issues. Not only does he not help in resolving the issues at hand , he aggravates the customer by going on his own ego trip. the help provided at the store does not help whatsoever in fact it only makes you leave the store in disgust and feeling insulted. moreover He has the audacity to actually ask the customer to leave his store when confronted at the mistreatment meted at his store. however there are people working under him who have a much better attitude towards the problems of a customer people like Dean and Dan...are the kind of people who you would like to see working at the AT&T. i would like to add if anyone could provide information regarding escalation of complaint in customer relations...please do get back... read more

Don't ever ever ever go to this place. Has the worst customer service. And close at 8pm not 9pm. Got there at 8:15, and they just closed. I knocked at the door and pointed at my phone. I just want to unlock it, which should be pretty easy. But they refused to help me!! Would never go to this place again!! read more

I have been there several times and I have never had good service. I just left the store after waiting over 30 minutes and no one even greeted me. No one ever acknowledged I was ever there. And obviously I got no service and help and just decided to leave. These people need to be trained. read more

2 weeks ago I preordered the galaxy s5 and asked for it to be shipped to the store and not my home. Since I work in Hillsboro I wanted to pick it up at the store rather when have it shipped to my home having it sit at my door all day and not be able to get it until that night. I was told that I would be able to get the phone on or even before Friday 11th. Monday 7th I get an email saying that my phone has shipped but ups didn't have there tracking updated until Tuesday. I looked and it was being shipped to my HOME and scheduled for Monday 14th. I called to talked to CS but they told me I had to go to the store since that is were I bought it. I went to the store and was told that there is nothing that they can do now cuz it shipped already but the tracking info is always wrong and I will see it Friday 11th. Here it is, Fri 11th and ups show my phone in Idaho!!! If I had just gone to Costco, BB or any other store today... I would have my phone today!!!!! Lesson learned on going to the ATT store!!!!
