    Soggy tempura

I'd you order it to go, Pay attention. I ordered mine to go - had a drink at the bar- and had to keep asking when it would be ready because 45 minutes later and two drinks at the bar for an appetizer and a roll of sushi to go seemed exceedingly long. They finally located order and I got home and the shrimp tempura was soggy and so was the sushi roll, almost as if it was the leftover. This is the second time this has happened to me. I should've learned the first time I thought I would give it a second chance. There won't be a third chance at this place..

First time here at the recommendation of some friends. Didn't see the negative reviews until after we had finished. Everything was great including steak, shrimp, veggies, rice, clear soup, fried rice. Salad was very fresh. Nothing to improve on, so I can't quite understand the negative reviews. We will definitely be back.

After my first visit to Asuka I was just not blown away- the best way to put it would be, there was nothing really remarkable or special about this place. I went there for lunch on a Sunday. There were plenty of tables available and so service was relatively fast. Compared with a few Japanese restaurants I like in Nashville and Murfreesboro, this place does not seem to offer entirely authentic Japanese cuisine- it doesn't mean the food doesn't taste good. It does. It's just that If you want authentic, I'd go somewhere else. I had chicken teriyaki, which came with loads of grilled onion beneath it. I had it with some fried rice. They were tardy, but not something That amazes me. On par with any other Japanese restaurants in Franklin/ Spring Hill area. Service was good, but one of the servers was wearing track pants which I thought was a little weird. Considering the price being on expensive side, I will probably not go back. With those prices I would expect something more that stands out and memorable. Unfortunately Everything about this place was just "ok".

Steak and Chicken Lunch Combo with Noodles (Fried Rice never came out)

All previous reviews of lackluster service are DEAD ON. I was seated quickly and my order was taken quickly. I received my food which was pretty good about a 6/10 it just lacked a lot of flavor it was plain. After I received my food I never saw my waiter again. No refill, no check ups, my fried rice never came out and I had to ask for it from the lady who came to give me my check. Food was decent but it was cancelled out by awful service. I wouldn't personally recommend it if you value decent service when you go out to eat. I'm only giving two stars because the part of my meal that came out was good

Unfortunately, what should have been a great experience turned into a very uncomfortable one. The gentleman who took our order was extremely rude from the start and made us feel unwelcome and clearly unwilling to respond to our questions about the menu. We initially gave the benefit of the doubt, assuming it might be a cultural misunderstanding. However, things only got worse. After we sat down, he never brought us water while consistently serving other tables. At one point, he even prepared a full table setting--with water and food--for a reservation that hadn't yet arrived, while we continued to sit there unattended. After nearly 30 minutes of awkward waiting, we were finally given water. What made the situation more concerning was the clear difference in how we(Caucasian Americans) were treated compared to other customers. He was warm, kind, and engaging with others--particularly those who appeared to share his background--but would not acknowledge or engage with us at all. The atmosphere became so uncomfortable that I made the decision to leave for the sake of my daughters. As a father, it was clear they felt unwelcome, and that was not something I was willing to tolerate. I left without asking for a refund due to what seemed to be hostility. We've had many wonderful experiences at Asian restaurants, but our experience at Daylight Sushi was deeply disappointing. We did not feel welcomed, and unfortunately, we were treated in a way that made that very clear. Wish this was not the case and hopefully this was a major misunderstanding!

It still lists for $3.25 on the menu, and they bring out the equivalent of one piece of chopped lettuce in a condiment size bowl! Total rip off! It was already a very small portion, and now, not even enough to wet your whistle! Fulin's should be ashamed to serve the mini cup size and not even lower the price! I will NOT support such a poor move on their part and purchase the salad again, unless they go back to the original size or lower the price a couple of dollars for the amount they served me today! There are similar places around, where I can still pay the same price I used to and get what is actually called a "salad." I refuse to pay for one piece of lettuce, and I question whether it was a whole piece, at that! Plus, they didn't even fill the measly bowl. Wish I could still give a 4 star rating, but quantity has gone down. Some of you may say, it's just a freaking salad. Others that look forward to this being one of their favorite things on the menu, will understand. IYKYK

The service was some of the best we've had: attentive, warm, and so generous. I couldn't decide between the house salad and the miso soup (both sounded amazing), and they kindly surprised me with a house salad topped with their housemade dressing, such a thoughtful touch. The miso soup was stellar, too. We started with the mango crab rangoons (highly recommend), then ordered a mix of rolls: two cooked: the Hotel Cali and Tidal Wave and two vegan: the Eden (a must!) and the Cowgirl. Every single one was delicious. To drink, we loved the China Doll and the Sangria Spritz cocktails. The lighting and overall mood of the restaurant i beautiful, warm, cozy, and perfect for lingering. I've been a couple times and each time the bartenders are lacking in friendliness, accuracy, and efficiency. It seems that they pay more attention to the service bar and chatting with each other, it's surprising to me that management doesn't notice the bar is in need of supervision and improvement. I've had to to get my own napkins, chopsticks, and even had a food runner drop off my food to a couple sitting beside me and scurry away before any of us could tell her that she made a mistake ‍. It's possible that the service is better at the tables though, I sit at the bar because I go solo. Still, the food and ambiance are worth a visit, I will be back...the chargrilled edamame is delicious!
