Roaches. Roaches in the kitchen. They say it's "goodluck" sushi is their best luck........

Food amazing as always but please spray your patio at area for bugs.. was bombarded by fleas when we stepped outside.

I want to start off saying the food tasted great, we got the chicken fried rice. They do charge an extra two dollars for it which wasn't the issue. We ordered online and it said 30 minutes. We got there 30 minutes after we placed the order online then had to wait another 45 minutes at the restaurant because our order was "lost" could have been just a bad night. Maybe eating in person has better service. This is probably a 3 Star review but the food was very good. Going to give them the benefit of the doubt. read more

We love this place. We have no idea why people leave bad reviews here. We have always had a wonderful experience, great food and amazing servers! I love how the hibachi tables are separate from the main dinning area. read more

They brought me fried rice and then said that there was a surcharge for fried rice so I made him give me two dollars cash because I didn't ask for fried rice. Hibachi steak was overcooked, but not too dry, so I ate it anyways. Not really sure what that soup supposed to be, but it tasted like city water to me and the salad was bland. But I didn't ask for either of those two so I don't care. read more

My boyfriend and I eat here alllll the time. They make the best gyoza & we love the staff! Always a great hibachi meal.

We got steak, chicken, and shrimp hibachi and the phoenix roll. Everything was delicious, fresh, and generous portions. We will be back! Note: we've been hesitant to go because of some of the reviews, don't let that stop you! So good! read more

The food and service are good, the restaurant is well maintained, the prices are high and the portions are okay. We had a good experience, Will eat there again. read more

There was wire brush in my food and they just tried to makes excuses about why it was there

My daughter and I went yesterday, and brought home leftovers. She heated hers up, ate part of it, and there was a dead roach in it. Never, ever going back. read more

Their sushi is amazing. They have much better quality fish compared to all the other average sushi places. They had waitresses grabbing checks that were ready on the table regardless if they were serving or not. It looked like they worked as a one team. Very quick service for the quality food. Decor is also very appealing:. read more

The actual atmosphere is very cool and seemed very well the absolutely awful my wife and I have the privilege of touring the country for work purposes and we eat at hibachi all over the country all the time there by far is the worst hibachi place we have ever eaten at they double up charge you for simply getting fried rice and on the receipt, it's labeled as double fried rice, even though it was the same portion that I got as everyone else on the table with your hibachi food is absolutely flavorless and the Yum Yum sauce is very spicy oddly enough read more

I'd you order it to go, Pay attention. I ordered mine to go - had a drink at the bar- and had to keep asking when it would be ready because 45 minutes later and two drinks at the bar for an appetizer and a roll of sushi to go seemed exceedingly long. They finally located order and I got home and the shrimp tempura was soggy and so was the sushi roll, almost as if it was the leftover. This is the second time this has happened to me. I should've learned the first time I thought I would give it a second chance. There won't be a third chance at this place.. read more

Asuka - Soggy tempura - Japanese Near Me - Spring Hill, Tennessee

First time here at the recommendation of some friends. Didn't see the negative reviews until after we had finished. Everything was great including steak, shrimp, veggies, rice, clear soup, fried rice. Salad was very fresh. Nothing to improve on, so I can't quite understand the negative reviews. We will definitely be back. read more

After my first visit to Asuka I was just not blown away- the best way to put it would be, there was nothing really remarkable or special about this place. I went there for lunch on a Sunday. There were plenty of tables available and so service was relatively fast. Compared with a few Japanese restaurants I like in Nashville and Murfreesboro, this place does not seem to offer entirely authentic Japanese cuisine- it doesn't mean the food doesn't taste good. It does. It's just that If you want authentic, I'd go somewhere else. I had chicken teriyaki, which came with loads of grilled onion beneath it. I had it with some fried rice. They were tardy, but not something That amazes me. On par with any other Japanese restaurants in Franklin/ Spring Hill area. Service was good, but one of the servers was wearing track pants which I thought was a little weird. Considering the price being on expensive side, I will probably not go back. With those prices I would expect something more that stands out and memorable. Unfortunately Everything about this place was just "ok". read more

Is there a way to give "0" stars? I have given this place 3 chances and no more. Absolutely horrible!!! The last time we went there it was for a Sunday lunch. We walked up and were the only ones waiting to be seated. It took 7 minutes and realized they have 4 tables with done plates and no one clearing the tables. I left at 8 minutes as the only ones in line but couldn't even sit down. Oh by the way the last two times we actually ate there....the food was not good and the service was terrible both times. Does this place even want to stay open or are they trying to provide crappy service and food experience? Don't bother!!! read more

All previous reviews of lackluster service are DEAD ON. I was seated quickly and my order was taken quickly. I received my food which was pretty good about a 6/10 it just lacked a lot of flavor it was plain. After I received my food I never saw my waiter again. No refill, no check ups, my fried rice never came out and I had to ask for it from the lady who came to give me my check. Food was decent but it was cancelled out by awful service. I wouldn't personally recommend it if you value decent service when you go out to eat. I'm only giving two stars because the part of my meal that came out was good read more

Asuka - Steak and Chicken Lunch Combo with Noodles (Fried Rice never came out) - Japanese Near Me - Spring Hill, Tennessee

There's not much in the way of Hibachi around the area, so we were excited to give this place a try. Sadly, it was a bust. To begin, everyone around our table got their soup and salad before us and it wasn't until the main hibachi meal was about to be cooked that we were able to catch the waitress to let her know. At that time she also let us know that our appetizer was on the way out as well. So we asked that it be canceled because we were about to start eating salads and our main course. Then, we told our waitress that one of the people in our party had a severe allergy to shrimp. She assured us that the food would not come in contact with shrimp... and then a whole tray of meat came out with shrimp on the same tray (for the other people that sat at the same hibachi table, not from our group). Long story short we asked for that meal to be taken off completely and it was quite the ordeal and a scene made by the waitress. The chef handled it very well, but the waitress was over the top making a big deal about the allergy. Lastly, we asked how to make sure the chef would get his cut of the tip and were told that the restaurant keeps all tips. The staff are paid a base hourly rate... this makes so much sense seeing as how the service and restaurant as a whole was such a failure. read more

There was plenty of people running around as far as serving staff. We had 5-6 different people wait on us. None of which had names apparently. We didn't want HIbachi so we asked for a table and we're seated by a male server in the bar area. He took our drink order and didn't give his name. That was person #1. Person #2 took our food order, didn't get name. Person #3 brought us our appetizers. Person #4 brought our sushi. We had the most interaction with her. Person #1 again kept Serving the table behind us. We were 1 of 2 tables in the area. 20-25 minutes go by. No drink refills. No check. No "how are you guys doing." I finally flagged down person #4 in the Lobby. I said "we need a check and a to go bag. We found the to go boxes by the bar" 3 or 4 people kept coming in the bar and looking at us then tried to print a ticket. They had the wrong ticket and person #5 brought it over! I asked for a manager 3 times. Finally the manager came over who was person #2 and had been cooking hibachi. I got a 15% discount but will NOT be back. Food was good. Bad service masked that. read more

The food did not taste super fresh. It wasn't bad, but for the price I'd rather go elsewhere. The service was great.

My wife and I had read a few reviews about this place before we decided to come, but I wanted to make sure that I was unbiased as i tried it for myself. When we arrived, we were greeted by a host/server who was a little less than enthusiastic, but she was trying and who knows it could have been a rough day. We were then taken to our table and given menus, we were two of the 11 people in the restaurant. There was some mess under our table and the table top itself was sticky. We ordered drinks then took some time to browse the menu before ordering. We decided upon 3 rolls as we came for the sushi not the hibachi. 1. Red Dragon Roll 2. Orange Dragon Roll 3. Cream Cheese Ebi Roll 4. Miso soup and Ginger salad. (Our staples at each sushi place) The waitress (the same girl who sat us) was unaware there was even a menu item titled Orange Dragon Roll. The Miso soup was bad, it looked and tasted like water. The ginger salad was soaked in dressing. The Orange roll and Red roll were both very unpleasant and had ground up fish on top or inside of the roll, honestly I couldn't even tell you if it was fish, as the taste and texture were both very off. All of this said the Cream Cheese Ebi roll was delicious, the salmon was great, the shrimp had the perfect amount of tempura and the sauce was great. However, I must admit I don't know that we will go to this specific sushi restaurant again. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE.... We have a family member who has a deadly allergy to seafood. We made this known to the waiter and she informed us that all food would not be cooked or mixed with any seafood. They bring the food out to cook it and the shrimp was all over the chicken and steak we ordered. The chef was not made aware. We stepped aside and informed the waiter that we wanted to cancel the family members meal and she would just eat the rice. Instead of being apologetic for making the mistake, she comes and causes a scene with the chef. Completely unprofessional and she could care less if she has sent my step daughter to the hospital. We also discovered that the owner keeps all the tips for themselves and don't give it to the chefs or servers. read more

Ambiance is consistent with what one would expect at a Hibachi chain. Low lighting and private rooms. The food isn't as high quality as Shogun, but it's decent. The prices are a little high for the comparable quality, however. The sushi was actually fresh fish and decent. The rolls were large but so were the prices. It's not my favorite for sushi, but it's probably the better option in town as far as quality and freshness. read more

*ordered door dash and it came within 20 minutes* Kani salad was fine. Sweet potato roll was mediocre. Several of the sweet potatoes were hard and crunchy not cooked thoroughly. Edamame is bland and cold. (Picture is after I added teriyaki sauce from home). Third time trying it/different things and never been wowed. read more

i use to really like this place, but last night my tempora seafood and veggie was terrible, but worst the place was freezing with my 91 yr old dad. non of us could take off our jackets or hats, and in his condition we could not go anywhere else. Last everyone ate and was done, i thought they forgot my dish and I did not care, i ate my wifes rice and I was fine. we are ready to leave and they bring me out my dish. they did not care, did not apologize, nothing. $207 for 5 down the drain. I can no longer recommend this place. they just do not care. i want places in Spring hill to flourish, but this place is now on my do not go list. read more

I am so glad we ignored previous reviews and tried this place out. We drove to Smyrna last time and were disappointed. This place was great! They had 2 options for soup, the one it's served with us the clear soup which is a broth with mushrooms and green onions (was delicious), they also substituted the clear soup with miso soup upon request (this was average miso soup-tasted like it may have wasabi in it, if you do not enjoy this flavor stick with clear soup). The ginger salad had a bit too much dressing and dressing was not the best- recommend requesting two soups instead of salad if you enjoy soup. Vegetables were good, fried rice was a little under flavored and next time we may request extra seasoning or sauce. Chicken and steak was phenomenal! Definitely recommend this place! Also, hours on yelp are incorrect they are open 4pm-10pm on Saturday nights. Also, all staff were wearing masks. Staff was friendly. Price was reasonable for a hibachi restaurant! read more

This place is terrible. Don't go. Better food and service at a gas station. Dirty, rude, and pricy.

I would give 0 stars if possible. Hands down worst sushi I've ever ordered in my life. It looked bad, smelled bad and tasted bad. Ate two pieces and decided that I would rather lose $65 than hang over a toilet all night with food poisoning. My dinner companion left his uneaten as well. Waitress never would stop to check on food quality and left us there to stare at our bad food. I Asked for a check and it very obvious we had not eaten our food. Didn't say a word just handed us the bill and took payment. No attempt to listen. No manager visit. Stay as far away from this place as possible!! read more

Asuka has the best hibachi in the area. We have never had a bad experience there. Highly recommend going.

My husband and I tried this place as we wanted to support a local business. The service and food were both sloppy. Everything came out together even though we ordered it pretty far apart. We were never given plates or checked up on until it was time for the check. The decor is fairly dated and it feels like the place could use a good cleaning . I would go elsewhere. We are certainly not coming back after one visit . read more

Poor experience. For starters, our drinks took a while to come out, it wasn't busy at all. Before we ordered our main course, I asked the server if they took shellfish allergies serious. (If not, it wouldn't have been a problem we would have just went somewhere else) but the server confirmed that the shellfish allergy would not be a problem to accommodate and that the cook would be notified to not bring shellfish out at all. About 20-25 minutes goes by and we still hadn't gotten our soup and salad Then the chef came out with all of the ingredients to cook in front of us, still without appetizers at this point. When the meat was getting put on the grill we notice that the shrimp, steak and chicken are all on one plate touching each other. So we inform the cook that I will not be eating that due to my allergy. The cook told us he was not informed that I even had an allergy. The drinks needed refills throughout dinner They still charged me for the rice that was on my plate. Even though I had eaten it before I knew the shellfish was going to contaminate my chicken and steak And found out the tips do not even go to the wait staff, the restaurant owner keeps them! And the wait staff and chefs get paid hourly. So no wonder no one gives a crap about service there. read more

Foods amazing service was absolutely amazing . The chefs are very interactive and saw my server multiple times.

So we usually order "to-go" and go home and eat and it's pretty good not many problems on that. But, we had time to go eat there and we did. Fir the price 70.00$ it wasn't as good as to go, and more expensive cause the drinks are 3.50$ and my Dr Pepper was flat.. my opionon is to order "to-go" it seems be better all the way around. And they never mess my order up on it either. read more

Food is decent. Way off in wait times, even with to go orders. Expect twice as long at least, if not longer.

They forgot the sauces with the appetizers, my wife's dirty martini was sweet (horrible), they forgot her soup, and the sushi rolls weren't made properly (kept falling apart). The only positive note was it's the best (hottest) wasabi I've had at a sushi place in Spring Hill. read more

Have a great meal every single time. I haven't had a bad experience yet and have been back multiple times. Great food and highly recommend!
