    Waiting for my drink
    Mi V.

Cashier was cool, drinks were cheap and caffeinated ! I got the egg coffee and my husband got the ube milk - not bad for the price ($1.99 special)! I love how spacious and zen-like it is, there are tables that I could see myself studying here all day long at if I were in college. Studying space + brain food + drinks + free wifi = im not mad !

Self-service kiosk and plenty of seating

Plenty of seating available on a rainy Sunday evening. They have an interesting setup if you know what you want to order- I'd take a look at the kiosks, place the order, and then grab a seat anywhere you see an open spot. Staff was very friendly to a first timer, and offered plenty of recommendations for how to customize. I recommend the grilled pork with the egg fried rice (can add vegetables too), and I'd order it again on a figure visit in the area! Appreciate the massive portion sizes for ~$15-20 per plate. You won't go hungry that's for sure! Plenty of other noodle, protein, tofu, and starch options if you take a look at the menu online.

Avoid at all costs. Ordered the worst egg custard buns and I can't finish the rest of the black sesame lava buns. They don't have food readily prepared. Expect to wait 15-20 mins for your food to be steamed. I think all the food is frozen here. Might as well buy frozen items from 99 Ranch and steam it yourself. 6 buns for $14.

came for the first time due to a promo. was surprised at how good the iced durian latte was! could definitely taste the durian and there were tiny durian bits. they definitely didn't cheap out on it! tons of seating and nice ambiance, would definitely come back to study here one day

Surprisingly good! Maybe not the most authentic, but pretty good quality dim sum if you're local to the area, and craving some. Both times we've ordered for pick up, so we haven't had the pleasure of eating there, but food is prepared quickly, and while some dishes are probably premade or frozen, they're all flavored very well, and the fried items definitely retain their crispiness. The restaurant is decently sized, and they have a couple different areas for seating. All the staff who we have interacted with have been friendly, and helpful in answering questions. We will probably continue to order from here. It was nice to have some Vietnamese options on the menu as well. My only complaint is that their egg custard bun is a little dry (the egg yolk filling isn't as runny as I typically like it), but it does the job.

Not too bad for simple dim sum and a variety of noodle soups! My husband ordered the zhuabing wrap and he said it was odd that there was a Chinese donut in there. It felt like a carb filler. I took a bite and my tastebuds were confused. Def tasted like a grilled pork banh mi but with a naan wrap. New establishment so the guy at the register was still being trained. He was very nice though! They were still doing work inside the restaurant as we were eating. Maybe I'll Come back when they're fully functioning and have their restaurant done. Food was ok. My braised pork rib noodle soup wasn't hot enough. I need my soup piping hot to a point where it'd burn my mouth. Har gow rice wrapper was very thick. We were intrigued by the concept and wanted to check it out.

Went here last Saturday with a group of eight for lunch. Spacious parking lot and dining area. We ordered a bunch of food and it came out pretty fast. We all enjoyed the food and had a good time there.

Went to Asian Street Eatery at 846 W El Camino Real in Sunnyvale. Enjoyed the lunch plate on the Mandarin Crispy Tofu. The tofu was impressively not tough at all. Would go back to try the other dishes.

Well my favorite food in the whole world would be dumplings of any kind. So when I see a restaurant that offers dim sum and dumplings in all possible sorts of style with different types of protein, it's a very easy choice for me to choose to go there. Even better that it's just small plates so that I can eat multiple plates (yes, love the variety!) at once by myself and not end up spending a lot. I live very close by and I've tried most of their small plates, including, - Chicken Siu Mai - Pan Fried Chicken steamed Bao - Egg rolls - Egg Custard Bao - Vegetable Dumpling - Pot Stickers - Sandwich Bao I generally like the Siu Mai in most places and I like it here as well. Most of the Bao's are pretty good, I like the Egg custard one. I haven't tried the other main course dishes here so my review is purely for the above. I've only ever taken out from this place and never actually dined in. They seem to have a nice ambiance and a decent space to dine in.

Wonton Noodles Soup Five spice chicken chow mein
    Benny C.

I am slightly surprised that this place was so empty during lunch time on Sunday. What is better than a mini-food court that has so much variety where you can get everything from a banh mi, to won ton noodles, to zhua bing roll, which looked like an Asian burrito??? My eyes were way bigger than my stomach and I ordered way too much for myself to handle. Zhua bing roll- Delicious. This is a full meal in itself. A Chinese crepe/pancake wraps up a Chinese donut, veggies, and meat. This actually resembled a burrito. Delicious. Wonton noodles- Broth was slightly too bland for my taste but the noodles were pleasantly al dente and the wonton were humongous and snappy as well! My favorite was the five spice chicken with noodles chow mein. The chicken was super juicy. I bit into pure white meat and it was bursting with delicious, meaty, juice. The skin was crispy as well and the five spice absolutely shined throughout the whole flavor of the chicken.

I kept passing by here so finally decided to give it a try! Plenty of parking next to the restaurant, and I was a little surprised the place was quite empty on a Sunday at noon. Maybe most people take it to go? The restaurant itself is nice and bright, all the tables looked clean and inviting. The server was very friendly and helped me with the menu since it was my first time there. The dim sum dishes looked interesting, but I wouldn't be able to try many dishes just by myself, so I ended up ordering the chicken garlic noodles. I was surprised there was no way to add tip on the credit card payment, and had to dig out some cash. The food came out pretty quickly, the chicken portion was... small. The food isn't exactly cheap, my entree plus a drink was $20 pre-tip. The garlic noodles portion was good, but just didn't have many pieces of chicken. With 0 other sides (veg?) the dish just looked a little sad. Anyhoo, the food itself tasted good so I'm still happy with the meal. I took about half the noodles home to eat with other stuff later. Overall a pleasant experience! Will come back and try some other items next time!

Ordered via Google and this was $20 bucks worth. Decent and side was good Pork Siu Mai Chicken Siu Mai Shanghai Dumpling
    Kiley J.

Nice, convenient spot for quick in and out trip to buy frozen goods, but for the prices set you're better going to the Asian markets to get more bang for your buck. Digital kiosks to check out if you go this route out of their center freezers. Very cute inside, but unfriendly folks running things during lunch time- hence a ghost town. So much potential for this spot but it is what it is. First time coming in today on a whim during classes, and im ok with dining in a regular Asian restaurant with authenticity and service.

We knew to go early, since they don't take reservations and we often see lines outside. We arrived at 10:30am and the front manager said if we can be done my 12:30, that they had a table for us. Party of 12, since we got there early, we agreed. The side room had the biggest round table for us. They ask you what kind of tea you want, we like chrysanthemum tea. You order the items on the paper menu and it comes to your table. So we got going on the orders and TBH, we must be hungry, because we did a lot of orders (we had plenty of left overs). Tried some favorites and a few new items that we thought were unique to their restaurant. My dad has to order crispy noodle and chow fun, and we also ordered chicken fried rice. The service was prompt and attentive, with enough servers to take care of the side room. Since it was the "sun room", the sun was shining through the windows and it was bright. Review from my parents: it was just meh, they prefer the other place near our house. I think the food is good, but probably won't come back again with a big group of us, since they don't have many big round tables. And personally, I prefer the whole experience of the ladies coming around with their carts. Perhaps their dinner menu is also worth trying. Bonus for us is that we can literally walk to this restaurant. Parking could be an issue if you come later.

Ironically, I'm not a fan of them myself--they're a bit too eggy for my taste. When it comes to dim sum quality and service, I honestly prefer Koi Palace. The food quality there is more consistent, and the service is much more phenomenal. The only things this place really has over Koi Palace are the lower prices and those black sesame custard buns my friend loves! I've been here at least a dozen times, and the food can be hit or miss. Sometimes dishes come out cold, like they've been sitting out for a while instead of being served fresh and hot. That said, there are a few items we always order that are consistently good when brought out fresh like salted crispy pork chops, siu mai, shrimp rolls, and fried calamari. Be prepared for a wait on weekends since it gets crowded. If you're coming with a large group, it's best to arrive before noon. The restaurant is located next to a hotel, and finding the restroom can be confusing since it's inside the hotel. Service is also pretty minimal--they seem understaffed, and I almost always have to flag someone down just to get basics like soy sauce, chili, and water. I don't understand why they don't just have the sauce on the table for guest to dip, but I get that they're saving $ on controlling the cost down. On my most recent visit, the experience really went downhill. Our table had food but no soy sauce, chilli nor water, and when I flagged a waiter multiple times, he got visibly annoyed and irritated. It was frustrating--we shouldn't have to chase someone down repeatedly for basic condiments. Being met with attitude for that honestly left a bad impression. That experience alone makes me reconsider coming back. Good food at a good price is one thing, but poor service--especially to that extent--can really ruin the overall experience.

We arrived around 1 PM on a Sunday and were told it would be a 20-25 minute wait. That was fine. But when we were seated we noticed the carts did not have much food. So we ordered 4 dim sum items off the menu. No one told us how long it would take to get these items. We ordered traditional dim sum items and at most dim sum places it would just take a few minutes. But after 20 minutes, nothing had arrived. We asked one of the workers and he angrily told us it takes a long time to prepare them. After 5 minutes one item showed up. But after waiting 20 minutes we decided to leave. As we were paying the bill, another item showed up so we just took it home. What bothered me most was no one apologized for the long wait, offered to somehow compensate, etc. They just acted like another day at Saigon Seafood Harbor.

The decor and ambiance is nice - very spacious and elegant. You can join the waitlist from Yelp - always a plus. Highlights: the har gow were plump with large pieces of shrimp and minimal filler. The dumpling skin was on the thicker side (I don't mind it but my wife likes thinner skins.) Maybe that was needed because of how big these were - really packed with shrimp. The mango pudding was delicious and reminded us of childhood, and the shrimp noodle roll was great. Lowlight: I was less happy with the xiaolongbao - there are so many good options for these in the South Bay that this meager interpretation was frankly bordering on blasphemy. I would not order those again. The steamed char siu bao were far better but still could've used more pork in the filling and were slightly soggy and over steamed. He personally assisted serving our clay pots, making our dining experience a bit nicer and personal. He was respectful. Staff in general were friendly and attentive. Beware the mandatory 18% tips (marked as service charge) they charge without contest disregard of party size. Read your receipt carefully. After they present your receipt, there's a line there asking for extra tip, as if 18% isn't enough? I was going to tip them well anyway so the forcing part was off-putting and sneaky. It inevitably left a bad taste. Regarding the legality of mandatory gratuity, they did disclose 18% service charge on menu. They also taxed on gratuity. They probably have a good lawyer telling them how to make mandatory gratuity legal. That is to use phrase "service charge" and print it on menu, which I didn't notice until much later. (From the picture I took.) A small group like us (party of three) should not be subject to mandatory gratuity. No one likes to be forced to tip. Tipping should be at free will. Needless to say, we won't be back.
