Amazing place to stop and eat. Service was great and the staff was nice. Go to Kelso Asian Buffet you will not be disappointed! Restaurant was clean and decor was nice.

Is it food? Yes. Can you eat enough to be full? Yes. Is this place a good location for either? I don't think so. Service was attentive but cold, which is fine at a buffet I suppose. The place was clean, which was impressive. The food was regrettable. Many of the dishes that should be hot were somehow at or below room temperature, which was particularly alarming for the fish dishes. Some dishes were labeled "spicy", but even those had very little flavor. Several dishes were rather chewy. I got the impression that I was eating yesterday's leftovers. I left feeling nauseous after eating a plate and a half. Not stuffed - just queasy. I was very excited to try the place, but I don't see myself returning.

Two different views on offerings. His and her plates !

Great selection ! Normal faire plus salads , even catfish as well as smoked Eel sushi ! Real kind service ! Worth a visit ! Two Happy customers ! Thanks for making dinner tonight !

I appreciate the $1 discount for seniors The remodeling they did for their restaurant is great, as this used to be an Izzy's.

We went on a Tuesday night and the place was already packed. The server, at least on the day we went, was working OVER TIME. There was only 1 server and she operated as the bar tender, hostess, and server. I understand that its a small location but she was running and was still incredibly friendly despite the fact. The food is amazing. Everything we ordered was absolutely fantastic and we had a lot. We tried the Fire Fish Soozi, the Salmon Poke Bowl, the chicken Karaage, Garlic chicken noodles, and the Fried beef with garlic fried rice. I know a lot of the dishes have garlic in their name, just know that garlic is quite predominant flavor amongst multiple dishes. Definitely on the pricier side for starters, but the portions are decent and the flavors are good.

There's not a lot of seating and it's not meant for big parties. We tried the tea sample (got 3 different teas to try) and they'll refill it with hot water as many times as you want. You can probably go through 2 or 3 pots of water for each tea but allow about 30 minutes for each pot. It also came with 3 smaller food items that we got to try and surprisingly, it's pretty reasonable at $39 per person. The nice thing is, you only get charged for one person while everyone else at your table can also try the tea. Service was good and very friendly. As for the food, it was pretty good, not out of this world but you're going for the tea and not necessarily the food (IMO).

We shared the cream cheese wontons, coconut curry with chicken spice level 2(which comes with rice), and the luc lac. Everything was deliciousss! The chicken in the curry broke apart so easily and the curry itself was very flavorful. Spice level 2 was perfect for a little kick, but not too much. The meat on the luc lac has a nice char on it and a sauce that is almost sweet. Service is quick and the vibe inside is very trendy with colorful decor and lights. Great for a night out. Previous visits have sometimes left us confused as if we ordered something different than a usual so i would say it is not too consistent but great if you catch it on a good day.

They took our drinks order and handed the drinks while we were in the line. Once we got to the register, we put in our food order and paid. The restaurant was semi self served. We got to our table few minutes after ordering. Guests also had the option to order to go and dine in the tent tables outside. The interior of the place was so stunning. There were dragon on walls, umbrellas in the ceiling, a huge full service bar. Our dishes came out within few minutes. We got the chicken skewers, chicken pho, chicken luc lac and steak rolls. We liked the small plate dishes, but the entree ones were disappointing. The chickens were chunky and dry, bland flavor. As much as we loved the vibe of the place, we didn't enjoy the food as much. The staff members were very joyful and friendly. They were explaining the process to every guest and keeping everyone informed on waiting time. During dining, they were also available to help.

It wasn't cheap, fish was good. The sashimi that came with it was delicious and perfectly cut. The nigiri was good as well. the fish size was normal, the rice it was on was almost non-existent. They have the smallest amout of rice on their nigiri that's possible without it becoming sashimi. Overall it's good and more "fancy" place, where price reflects the location.

The mocktails are worth a try! On the food side, we tried a good deal of the menu. A mix of Japanese and Chinese dimsum, there's a lot to enjoy. Fried chicken and calamari were both very crisp and well seasoned--not too greasy. Skewers were mixed--beef was dry but bbq eel were especially good. Sushi was solid. Ginza combo had a good variety of fresh fish even that late at night. Don't skip dessert. Matcha soufflé à la mode was our favorite of the night. Service was excellent. Host was courteous and we were seated promptly. Ginza was a great first meal here in Portland. Would recommend.

The food was excellent, and the service stood out even more. The person running the restaurant was incredibly friendly, fun to talk to, and genuinely helpful. Honestly, the service alone would bring us back. The menu has everything you'd want from a Chinese restaurant--lots of variety and plenty of options. We decided to try the combination plates (which are listed toward the back of the menu), and that was the right call for us since we like to share family-style without ordering oversized portions. My wife ordered the combo with sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, and teriyaki chicken. I went with Szechuan beef, General Tso's chicken, and fried rice. We also added a large order of egg rolls, which were clearly made fresh in-house. Everything tasted great, and the portions were generous--even the combination plates were more than enough. Overall, we had a really good experience and will definitely be coming back.

I likely wouldn't go out of my way to go here but I wouldn't kick them out of bed either.
