Great Service.. attentive and constantly clearing your table of empty dishes.. even when it's busy and it gets busy even when I got there around 5 all the way when I left around 6 I only ordered off the menu.. didn't do the line Ramen was ok.. didn't have depths of flavor.. Rolls were decent.. Fried Oysters were good.. Shrimp Tempura was okay.. Steak Curry lacked flavor.. Nigiri and Sashimi are great and is the way to go! They did a great job converting a Shari's diner into a an AYCE Japanese spot! Clean toilets too! Looked like wine was included but I'm not a big wine drinker Good price for what you get

Our first experience at AYCE sushi was so fun! Have been eyeing this chain for awhile and decided to stop by the Kelso location on our road trip to Portland. Looks like an old Shari's or Denny's was converted to Sumo so lots of dining space and parking right off the highway so super convenient. Came on a weekday late lunch (goes until 3pm) so place was mostly empty which was great for lunch with busy littles. We chose the silver option which was a great deal though very limited roll options. Hot food bar was decent with several options (see pictures attached). Robot was so cool, the kids loved the delivery and service was fast. Bathrooms were clean and I appreciated the inclusion of a baby changing table. Will def check out another location closer to home and try the upgraded Gold option since this included much more variety of rolls, appetizers

Let's start with a couple of the uniques! They have two levels. Silver & Gold. Gold is everything! Silver is Buffet and listed items on the menu marked for Silver. You can order 15 items every 30 min per table. Maximum of 1.5h time. All you can eat. The food was fresh, the inside of the business was clean. Definitely the nicer Sushi establishment of Longview/Kelso! Staff was friendly and courteous. I'd definitely go back! Gold is worth the difference.

The best spot in Longview for sushi. Both silver and gold tiers are worth it and are delicious. The little robot servers are a fun surprise as well. They make the sushi as you order which ensures it's fresh

Tried this place during the soft opening and it was delicious! The staff were so friendly and attentive, amazing with teaching us how the menu works. The food was a fresh, good quality. The buffet was regularly stocked with fresh food and I overall had a good experience. I also adore how the restaurant is decorated I will be coming back for more My only complaint is the lack of Philadelphia roll, but that can be fixed

Food was delicious and the experience was different but very enjoyable. Cute little robot delivering food. Service was great.

Tuna lover roll (bottom) and spicy salmon, salmon avocado roll and our plate of hot food!

Food was SO good!! Colton was an absolute pleasure as our server, very patient and very pleasant in informing us/letting us know how this goes for the first time there. She always had a smile on her face and i appreciate her genuine friendlyness! The ambiance is great and such a neat dining experience. Finally an option in our area for all you can eat sushi! Will definitely be coming back!

Service and Ambiance: Old Shari's is given a new life to an establishment that is much needed in Longview/ Kelso area . Great service. The servers were attentive and friendly . Very customer centric . The robot server is a nice touch ! Food: Fresh and with many selections! Business: I wish I don't have to rush through the 90 mins. This is not a high end premium sushi spot, not exactly authentic . For its price point , it is a pretty good value. I forgot to snap a picture of the menu . When I was there , they offer up a 3 tiers meal options. Honestly, the basic tier is plenty for non fish and seafood palates. ( no sushi , no sashimi ) Silver and Gold level are more for sushi and sashimi lovers!

I felt bad for a minute but then he brought us to a table where the cushions were so blown out that the table was coming almost to our chins. It felt vindictive and I didn't feel bad anymore. Things got even weirder after that. We asked about happy hour and he said you have to be sitting in the bar, we asked to move there. Get to the bar and there's no bartender.......why sit us there? Bizarre. He took our drink order and mocked me for my choices. "OMG, you think whiskey tastes good with sprite? Ew" I honestly didn't know how to respond, I've never had a waiter be so weird. Then instead of making the drinks, he disappeared and didn't come back. Finally had to flag down another waiter who took our order, made the drinks and put in our food order. The food has gone downhill. My spider roll was rolled so poorly I couldn't use chopsticks. Had to use my hands and pray it wouldn't fall apart. Most of it did. Crab tasted old. Prices have also gone completely out of control. There is no happy hour to speak of, 10% off isn't worth anything. And $11 for a Sapporo?!?!?!?!? That costs less than $4 in a store. This restaurant is paying less than that. Absolutely insane. This used to be a favorite spot but we won't be back.

Our chef was super funny and super talented! Being as I made my bones in the culinary world I so enjoy watching my food being prepared in front of me! We both got hibachi for two and the entire meal was succulent and hot! Well prepared and well priced! The atmosphere is what you'd expect of a hibachi joint (I don't mind the noise as we shared tables with some nice people) Overall 10/10, would most definitely come back and would most definitely recommend to family and friends. If you ever find yourself in Kelso I most definitely recommend stopping by if you've the time!

Everything was going well. Chef came out and was okay. Definitely not the best we've had, but the food was good. Had to ask twice to get the bill. The restuarant had a couple more grills going, but still not busy by industry standards. Finally got the bill and they've added a $42 tip, for a "large" group. 5 people is not a large group, especially considering their grills seat 12 people and they always clump different groups together. I could understand if they were having to push tables together and it was taking a server's entire section up, but that's not how this place operates. When I inquired about where it's posted that this is standard practice, I was only showed the bill, which we had to ask for twice before seeing it. I normally tip 15-20% depending on quality of service; however, forcing a tip on me becuase there's 5 of us is theft. 1 of our group didn't even order a meal. We won't be going back to be robbed again. Edit - After calling and speaking with the so called manager, I was told that the automatic gratuity is standard and there's no one above her that I could speak with no matter where or who I called. No corporate, no owner, just her. She also told me that they were short staffed on this particular evening, which is more grounds to not expect $42 tip, when service is lacking due to lack of staff. I've worked in this industry for 30 years. I know how much staff rely on tips, but this isn't the way. I may have left a $50 tip, if it was earned, but not when it's forced and especially not when it's forced and not earned. Manager told me they'd refund half my tip and I wasn't welcome back. Bye

You're thinking of teppanyaki. They do have a grill in the back that they cook on but I mean at that point, everyone with a flat top grill technically is considered teppanyaki. Actually, I didn't see a grill back in the kitchen with my own eyes - I only assume they have one back there. They have sushi, hibachi, and pad thai. Feel free to make your own deductions. The sushi was good - we liked the rolls we got! Asparagus roll had 5 or 6 pieces in there instead of just one. The simple tuna roll was good but a little large and clunky. The hibatchi chicken had that nice maillard crust on it and the flavor was good. Chicken may have been dethawed in the microwave prior to cooking as it had a bit of a springy / rubbery interior. The price was good and the servers were nice even though they didn't seem super informed on the menu even though they had worked there a few months.

Lol I took my sister to lunch yesterday and we took a gamble and tried their spicy tuna and it was amazinggggg! This is gonna be my new favorite and go-to spot for sushi on the WA side!! My sister got a roll and tataki. I tasted her tataki and it was fantastic. I'm allergic to seaweed so I always get my rolls with soy or sashimi. Reyna was our server. She's so sweet and kind. She said they could accommodate the soy wrap and said they could modify a roll for me. I ordered: a spicy tuna roll with tempura shrimp, cucumber and jalapeño, soy wrapped, with spicy mayo sauce drizzled on top. It's perfection. Their spicy tuna actually has a kick of spice to it. Literally so good!! My sister and I got a manicure earlier today and were telling the ladies at the shop they should check it out Kobe. And then later we talked our mom into going to a late lunch today so we could get the spicy tuna fix again. Lol two days in a row spicy tuna bliss. Funnily enough we saw another person come in two days in a row as well. They had late lunch the same time we did yesterday and today too. Ps we also loved the veggie spring rolls. It was delicious and the sauce reminds us of a Filipino sauce we like. This place is fantastic. It's a small restaurant that has just enough seating to feel like they could fit a decent amount a people during peak times. It was very clean and they should be serving beer and saki soon (picture of the sign added). I'm sure we will be back very soon. If you wanna try a new spot in Hazel dell, check them out. They're in the same lot as the oil change/ bowling lot. Across from the laundry and Thai delight 12/10 for me. Thank you!!
