What a terrible excuse for a Bukharian restaurant. The food sucks, the service sucks, the decor is slightly tacky...music is semi-decent though. Anyway, I came for a family birthday celebration and when I walked into the main entrance, I was standing in the middle of a Rusisan supper club and feeling very confused in my jeans-and-a-nice-shirt attire. Turns out, that's the party room, but the restaurant is two doors down through a completely unmarked door. SO shady! The restaurant itself is a hole in the wall, with a small section for a "live" entertainer, and there was no soap in the bathroom. When it comes to the food, I've eaten at many Kosher restaurants like this, and the food here was by far the worst. Everything was tasteless, bad, meh, and just not good, except for the babaganouj which was decent, the pickles, and the liver. Everything else, including the classing Bukharian dishes like plov, samsy, and manty were awful. Also, we attempted to order an eggplant salad a few times before they got it right but when they brought out their first attempt at our order, we got pickled eggplant instead. Being a lover of eggplant, I tried it and had to actually spit it out! I never, ever spit out my food, no matter how bad, but this was just plain vile. The service was equally terrible. They never cleaned our table so as new dishes were brought out, old dishes weren't taken away. Cluttered, messy, gross tables indeed! Even at the end of the night when they brought out the cake, they didn't bother to clear off our dinner dishes and leftover foods, nor did they bring out new plates for the cake, spoons, and forks, so yes, my chocolate cake tasted like kebabs with a side of onion, yum. read more

I had my wedding for 80 people at Asia this past Sunday Jan 18. Everything was nothing short of excellent! The food was delicious, everything from all the salads and cold cuts, to the shish kebabs and the pilaf. Our guests loved the food, the attentive service by the staff, and the warm family environment (the owner and his father cook all the food on premises). My husband's family flew in from Argentina and never experienced Bukharian or Russian food. They couldn't get over the quantity and taste of all the food. It was amazing! I am a regular at this place. Regardless of the event, food is always great! My favorite is Russian salad with eggs, carrots, potatoes and meat. Borch, lagman, and charcho are the traditional Uzbek soups to name a few. Ask a waiter and they will describe each of the soups in more detail. No matter what soup you choose, it will be done perfectly and spiced just right. For the main course I recommend fresh vegetable salad, French fries and of course the lulya/ chufta kebab made out of fresh chopped meat and seasoned to perfection. Cooked medium to well done. They have lots of salads, marinades, hot food, finger food, stakes, fish, live music. You can enjoy to stay for whole night to celebrate the occasion. That's what this place is known for. Terrible place. Owners only think about their profit and not their customers. Place was so crowded that I constantly saw other people's butts near my face. Music was so loud I might need to go to doctor now to check my ears. The room is tiny but music was blasting from the biggest speakers ever. Food was mediocre. This place is awesome! The food here is so delicious. For $9.99 between 11-4 you can get a lunch special that includes bread, soup, salad, and an entree. We paid for extra lamb. I'm giving this restaurant a 2. Was looking for good Russian food. However I got really grossed out after eating some of the bread and it was kind of stale but figured that's how it was but after picking up another piece there was sauce on it and it was chewed. They gave us a used bread basket which made me question if the rest of the food that came out was used. Also service was extremely slow. Place is soo understaff I felt soo bad for the waitress. She was all over the place. We waited 30 min just for water and the food another hour and fifteen. Quality of food was ok meat had a ton of fat and food is very oily but now I don't feel confident with this place because of the used bread. read more

this is a very fun and unique restaurant to go to... came here on a random saturday night to an empty restaurant, decided to stick it through. I order the pilaf - I guess rice cooked with carrots with some beef brisket on top. Got a Samsa (pure fire) and a lamb rib kebab. I realized I've actually had food like this before (I think I was out in Queens). Lamb rib was just me being extra... rib kebabs generally aren't that good because you're just working sinew off a bone. As I was about to leave, all the European people (I mean I guess they're Russian but I could be wrong) started piling in with their families, so I guess this is a family restaurant if this is part of your culture. read more

I come here often with my family and I have to say - the food and service is excellent. I usually get the lunch special ( soup, salad, fries, and shish kabob ) which is a great deal at ten bucks. On the occasion that I come here to sit and eat, I find that the food is great and the atmosphere very beautiful. The food is brought quickly and is delicious and the waitress is quick to clean the table and take away dirty plates. As an additional plus, Asia has a dance floor accompanied with disco-type lights and a great D.J. who sometimes plays music and at other times sings songs live. What an awesome place to go eat. Very affordable and clean excellent homemade dishes. Even though its quiet a large space and could feel a bit overwhelming, it felt very homie. The owner Steve came over multiple times to make sure that we were ok. Their kebob, especially the chicken kofta is so juicy, its out of this world. I've been here dozens of times for parties and other social events. The food has NEVER let me down. The salads are tasteful! The entrees especially the lyu lyu and salmon kebobs are superb! Horrible experience. This place is very small and cramped. Their seat placement is over maximum capacity. They are so desperate for business they have tables placed by 2 sets of double doors to the outside. As you can image it's freezing in the wintertime and you always have someone knocking you coming in and out. The food takes too long to come out. The worst part, this place is too loud with talentless music. They have no control over their speakers and literally use their kitchen equipment as drums. They do not stop for a second so you cannot even have any type of interaction with your party. The kids at our party wouldn't stop crying and everyone left early.....I really do not recommend going here, especially if you plan on brings kids or elderly. read more

I hosted my birthday party here and had the most terrible experience. There were absolutely no waiters in the restaurant. Everything I asked for, once a waiter decided to come over to our table, was done with an eye roll. The food was not good- too much mayo in the salads and the shish kebab wasn't hot when it was brought out.
