Perhaps this review can get me some resolution, or if nothing else I'd settle for a call back at this point. We purchased a sectional soft in November for a new home we were building. We ended up purchasing a dining room table and chairs, sofa, coffee table and end-table. We were quoted different delivery dates for everything, most of which was said to be arriving in late Dec and some as late as Feb 1st. Everything that was initially quoted around timing proved to be wrong, and not just a couple of days or weeks, but months from when they committed to having it. Today is March 16th and we finally received our sectional sofa and end-table, only for the order to be incorrect. I asked the delivery personnel to remove the items, but was told "that's not possible, we have a full truck". I notated on the delivery slip that the order wasn't correct, and apparently what he scanned into his system had that content excluded (this is what customer service shared with me once I called them). They also shared that customers are allowed to refuse delivery....now I'm stuck with something different than what was ordered, I can't get anyone from the store to pick-up the phone (I've called three times during the last several hours and only receive VM) and customer service can't do anything more on their end. So we've waited 4+ months for a sofa that came different than what we ordered and fits haphazardly in our living room. Can anyone at Ashley's help us? I am beyond disappointed...guess I should have taken note of all your 1-star and 2-star reviews. This should speak volumes to your executives! read more

This place is a joke. We were in a hurry and needed a basic couch to fill a guest room. We found a couch in 5 mins and told our sales person, we'll take it. Ordered a twin loft for my boys May 31st and was told it'd be delivered June 11th. They called and said there would be a delay by manufacturer so it'd instead be delivered on June 23rd. It was finally delivered on 23rd but when they began to assemble the bed they noticed that some of the parts were missing. So, the driver called customer care and the rep advised me to cancel the order and they'd ship me a new bed on June 27th. She sounded out of it and had some sort of candy in her mouth during the entire call. She was pretty professional. Today is 26th and I haven't heard from them about an arrival window so I called customer service and there's no notes of the call to customer care on June 23rd. So, I'm stuck with a half put together bed and I'm on the phone with customer service trying to get it resolved. I will be requesting a full refund. Please do not shop here! read more

I went in planning to buy a sectional. My salesperson was a lady named Madeline. After choosing my couch, I told her that I wanted to come back with my partner so that we could both sign. This lady literally sighed and threw her hands in the hair in frustration. It was so rude and unprofessional. I went to the Ashley store in Humble and bought the same damn couch just 2 hours later. We ordered a sectional, coffee table, dining table, side table, and console table on October 30th. We were told that part of the order was available in November, or we could have everything delivered on December 17th. We just needed it before Christmas, so we chose December 17th. They showed up on December 17th with a partial order. We got the console, dining table, and PART of the sectional. We were told the rest of the sectional was available December 27th, the coffee table was available January 10th, and the end table was available February 7th. FEBRUARY???? Really? We ordered this in October! I spoke with the store manager who said they were going to refund me the delivery fee (haven't received that yet), but there was nothing they could do. The furniture simply wasn't there. I called the delivery service team on December 26th to see if we were going to get the rest of our sectional on the 27th as they told me before. They told me that all of my missing pieces were going to be delivered on December 31st. That's fine, I can wait a few days if it meant everything was finally going to be done. They told me to expect a call on December 28th or 29th to confirm the delivery. Well, I didn't get a call, so I called the delivery service team today (the 29th) just to get an update. I just found out that they have rescheduled my delivery again to January 31th. The lady who told me this transferred me to the customer care line to try to get this resolved. I have typed this review while I've been on hold waiting for them. Everyone I have personally spoke with during this process has been polite and apologetic about the inconvenience, but I will never buy from Ashley Furniture again due to the complete mess I've experienced in getting my furniture. read more

There was a dent in one of the bed frames and obviously if there's a dent we aren't going to accept it. I was skeptical to buy from Ashley HomeStore. However, I wasn't willing to drive too far away. On Cyber Monday, I decided to try my luck. I was met by my Sales Associate, Edwin (Edre). First of all, his commitment to show me as much as I needed to see and explain all I needed to know about real leather and its look alike changed my perspective about the store. We were able to get something I love at a very reasonable price. He told me that my furniture will be delivered on 17th December. I called him after a week to check if my delivery date is still on track but as at then, the computer was showing 26th December. He offered me to come back to the store and pick something they can deliver immediately and upon delivery of my order, they will take that back. Of course at no extra cost. I chose to wait for 26th December. But on 14th December. I received email from the delivery team that my delivery will be there on 17th December. The delivery team were super excellent, did clean and wonderful. They were in and out in less than 15 mins. Please pardon my long review. However, I felt it's my obligation to correct some of the negative perception out there. Like any other business, you can't always get 100% satisfaction but make sure that whenever you go to the store, always get an Associate that works in your interest. I would like to start off by saying I never write reviews. If I'm dealing with one person I chalk it up to that individual. However, dealing with Ashley furniture as a whole has been nothing but a headache and the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Initially talking with a salesmen he failed to mention that I had to place an order for the furniture to come in stock at the store. He told me "we are currently out of stock but we should get it back in a few weeks". So I call about a month later only to find out I have to place the order for it to be sent to the warehouse. Not an issue except that the salesmen didn't mention that at all so I ended up waiting 4 weeks for nothing. So I place my order finally and this different salesmen says "it should be here by Nov 14th, however it could be sooner it's just an estimate". So I place my order and call on November 14th to find out that not only is none of my stuff in store, but it's all spread out over a span of 3 months. I'm told two items will be there by the 28th and then two other items are stretched out to December and then January. So not even close to what I was originally told. I don't mind waiting, I just want transparency and honesty which I didn't get. So then I call multiple times to the story and can NEVER get a hold of anyone so I finally have to go drive to the story to find out they only have ONE person that answers phones and it's his "off" day. So you have a floor full of idle bodies just standing around and not one person can pick up a phone? Because when I showed up no one was busy. So I'm at the store and finally am able to change my order to pick up and not delivery only to find out that the Ashley rep that I talked to a week prior misinformed me that my dresser I ordered is not only in stock, but wouldn't be at the store until December 30th. Found a 2" sag and approved an exchange with an exact duplicate that ALSO sagged within first few weeks. Manager said it was cheap metal in the springs. Let me start off by saying the start of my experience wasn't all that terrible. Yes, I was followed around and it was annoying that I couldn't figure out what I liked without an associate beside me the entire time telling me what she liked and what she thought my husband would like. Beside the point, I found a bed but decided to leave and check other stores to see if they had anything else I would like and the delivery I needed. Yes, I need quick delivery and right now reading the reviews I'm about to pop open a bottle of wine, because I'm freaked out. Everywhere else said 2 weeks, I'm being told I'm getting it tomorrow (we shall see). I came back and confirmed with (s)he I still wanted the bed. First off I was told this time and day for tomorrow was already set for more before I left the first time, I'm just back to confirm and pay. We go to check out and immediately there is a problem with my "account" because they put the bed on "lay away" and didn't make it an "account" so I'm not getting the delivery date I need. Then they tell me I need to make a down payment because I'm using a certain card, which I never heard of. After I pay the downpayment another associate chimes in and states I'm not supposed to pay the downpayment. Now I'm aggravated because they have ran my card and they're getting an attitude because I asked for it to be refunded back to my original card. They continued to have papers falling and problems with one thing after another, if I didn't need a frame so quickly I would of left, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I'm wishing I haven't, the lady before I left said she was able to get my shipping for tomorrow between 4-9. I'm hoping it comes or else I'm a mattress without a frame girl. Bottom line everyone in there seemed like they needed more training and they were a mess. I normally don't write reviews but I will never by from there again. You can either confirm the selected time through their automated message with day they offer you, which is a business day during working hours! How easy for you to be home! So, you try to reschedule because it is actually quite difficult to be home on week day with only one day's notice. I know, I know, who would have thought? So when you press the button to speak to an actual person, you get put into hold - limbo! There you go folks! Waiting on hold for HOURS on end and listening to those awesome music jams! And here's the best part! No one actually ever answers! So, you call the store to hear even more hold music! And guess what! No one answers there either! You get another customer service number to call. Sadly, you only get 1 hour of wait time this time around. You actually have to talk to a customer service agent. But don't fear! She won't let you down! She tells you there's nothing she can do while you have an open ticket so she says to call back and wait on hold again tomorrow! There you have it! If you are in the market for waiting on hold and never resolving the delivery of your purchase, then this is the right place for you! read more

Terrible customer service. The worst I've ever experienced. They don't answer phone calls in the store, after being on hold for 20 minutes, the call ended and I had to call all over again. I even tried calling 1-800 numbers and was on hold for over 30 minutes. I prepared for their delivery date they confirmed via text, they never told me the delivery was partial. Their "estimated delivery dates" are a joke! After calling a couple of days before the date I was told only a few parts of the couch would be delivered on time and the rest would arrive after Christmas! We asked if we could pick the items up and were told no, that the items were back ordered. I don't understand why they would give a delivery date on something that they don't even have stocked! Sales people should warn their clients about their reputation for delivering later than promised. I literally had to visit the store to get assistance since I had no luck calling them. After being told there is absolutely nothing that can be done I asked to cancel the order. I asked for a cancellation receipt, and was told they don't provide any. The manager tried to reassure me everything is okay and cancelled. She said she deals with several cancels on a regular basis. I can definitely see why they get so many cancels after reading other reviews of similar unfortunate situations. This was all 10 times worse for my family since Christmas is next week. I will never recommend Ashley Furniture to anyone. I went to Gallery Furniture after cancelling my order with Ashley Furniture and got couches delivered that same night! Sure, I paid more than what I would have at Ashley Furniture but it was worth every penny! I know that I will receive great customer service from Gallery Furniture with my future needs. Ashley Furniture lacks customer service with the sales people, managers, and customer support employees via phone. Avoid the headache with dealing with these people and go elsewhere! read more

"If I could rate zero stars I would, we ordered our furniture in April and had it delivered in July, you would think that would be plenty of time to have their crap together, NOPE! on delivery day they broke my daughters dresser and mirror and it took a week worth of calling back to even get an answer on when I could expect to see another one which I still dont have it is supposed to come on August 10th so we will see. They put some pretty big dents in my walls at my brand new house as well, we spent over $5000.00 on their store and they have offered nothing to us as far as what the plan is to fix that situation, the mirror for our dresser in our bedroom could not be installed because they had the wrong screws. I was told they were in the mail almost two weeks ago now. so we have had the mirror sitting on the ground hoping it doesn't get broken in the meantime! I had to update my 5-start review to a 1-star review due to an incident that occurred in January. I ordered a single bar-stool to be delivered to my home through this store. Once the bar-stool arrived in store, they called me to tell me it would be out for delivery in couple of days. Fast-forward two weeks the bar-stool still had not been delivered. Why? Because they misplaced a part. After several promises and apologizes about the delay, I still had not received my stool. Not only that, but one of the sales supervisors kept promising to call be back about any updates and I never once got a call from him. Fast forward a few days, I walk in to the store to speak to a manager and he once again promises it will be just a few more days and they gave me a meager discount for the inconvenience. A few more days pass and I still don't have the bar-stool. By this point my husband was incredibly annoyed and went to the store himself, and they magically had the bar-stool ready to go. I could not believe that after several weeks of me trying to get a hold of my bar-stool, that my husband could just walk in and it was ready to go. Purchased bed, night stand, dresser & mattress on September 9, 2020. Were told bed and night stand in back order till November. Received the mattress right away. November comes back ordered again. Then dresser comes still waiting for other items. Get a call bed is canceled. Went back to store and I asked to speak to manager who was standing there and he tells salesperson I have to talk to someone else and never came back. Spoke to a really nice guy who said, it's not canceled we can deliver on December 7. So today the delivered the nightstand and the bed but they said, we can't put it together because it's missing a part so the had to put in my garage. I'm now told the part will be sent to me in 7 days and when I receive it call customer service to get bed setup. This is terrible customer service and very disappointing. I will never purchase another piece of furniture from Ashley. I will try to summarize this as best I can. A chair that I purchased in December, broke in April after my husband simply sat in it. I don't have an issue with the chair breaking... things happen. What I care about is the customer service you get from a company when you are no longer a new customer. I purchased the warranty, but this was covered by Ashley, even though they said I needed to go through Montage. It clearly states in the fine print, that Montage does not cover defects. Then I had to go back to them and stand firm on them fixing it. That was one battle I had to fight. Once I finally got Ashley to agree to fix the chair, they had to have the part shipped to my house. Then I call, they schedule a day, and I'm suppose to get a call 48hours before the day to confirm time slot. Three times, they did not call. I had to call them. Why three times? Because that's how many times they didn't show up. I'm currently on hold to schedule my fourth appt to try to get this chair fixed. Today, they decided to show up, but not to me, to my Mother-in-laws house... Even though I verified they had the correct address and phone number on file. Now I will have to reschedule a fourth time. And each time I call, it's a average hold time of 20 minutes (and I'm being generous). It's been nothing short of headache to get Ashley to fix this chair, and it's not even fixed yet. This happened in April, and today is July 2. Update: today is July 8th. I have my fourth appt scheduled for tomorrow. According to Ashley's procedure in scheduling a timeframe, they say they will call 48hrs prior to the date scheduled to advise on timeframe. Once again, (for the FOURTH time), they DID NOT CALL. I had to call them to schedule it. Here's what I don't understand... Why do they not just make this their policy? I did confirm the correct address, so let's see if this gets resolved tomorrow. Update: July 9th. They showed up at my mother-in-laws again. Currently on hold to schedule my FIFTH appt...again. Update: July 15th. This time they DID call and tell me that they will not be able to come today, as scheduled. I'm on hold with Ashley furniture again. (Last week, I held for 52mins). I was assured by a manager that if they did not show today they would replace the chair. (Apparently, 5 times doesn't warrant extreme measures in making right with a customer). Also, a rep from the company contacted me when I first posted the review that they would like me to email them to make right. I sent them an email about 2 weeks ago and have not heard back. Happy with the product; not happy with the process. I thought their delivery fee was excessive ($150) Was told they would remove my old stuff & put in my garage as part of the service. When they arrived (on time as promised) I was told they DO NOT remove your old stuff BUT if I paid them extra they would do it. So another $20 spent. If i had known this I could have made other arrangements. When I complained to the salesman he confirmed that they should have removed the old stuff, but basically it was "too bad so sad". They did NOTHING to make this better. I think because they had a 'sale' going, they jacked up the delivery fee to make up the difference. If I ever decide to buy Ashley furniture again, I will drive to Livingston and deal with Pedigo Furniiture. When I didn't hear anything on the delivery date, I called and was told that the delivery date had been moved to 1/1/21, Called salesman, Ryland VanHorne at the Spring location and he said he would check and call me back. No return call. When I followed up, he told me he had been transferred and he cancelled my order and I should see refund in 48 hours. This was on 10/5. Today is 10/21 and still no refund. I've been calling every single day and I get different responses. Now they claim my account was credited on 10/7. Went to store yesterday and spoke to manager, Mr. Austin. Was promised a return call in 2 hours. It's now been 24 hours and no call. I called customer service and told them that Mr. Austin has not called me back as promised and that he said he had to call Accounting Department. Absolutely, under no circumstances should anyone buy from Ashley Furniture. We purchased a bed, mattress & boxed springs. Paid in full & scheduled the delivery date. Confirmed ourselves the delivery date & got calls confirming the delivery date. Day before delivery they call to say our box springs are not in stock. We drive to the Spring location where we purchased & talked to customer service. Get assurance the rest of our furniture will still be delivered on the original date promised. Day of delivery, I call to confirm again. Was told the delivery driver was 2 stops away from our stop. Guess what?! Nope!! One hour past our delivery time we call & are told WE had moved our delivery date out another week. Total lie!! I'm disabled & had sold my bed that morning after numerous confirmations from Ashley & reassurances my bed would be delivered. As a disabled person, I am disgusted at their "I don't care attitude & there's nothing we can do about it attitude!" Whatever you do, do not buy from Ashley's. I asked if they could at least deliver it tomorrow. Nope! The 21st is now the date because that's what WE asked for. Never in a million years did WE change the date. We purchased our mattress last week and took delivery yesterday (6/9) Our delivery team of Rob and Vernell were very helpful and professional. Upon their arrival we explained to them to keep the box spring on the truck for we only needed the mattress. We showed them that we had an adjustable bed and Rob got me in contact with the Ashley's customer service rep from his cell phone to explain our issue. She was great and understanding. She told us that Ashley"s would credit back our cost of the box springs and all would be fine. Thank you Rob and Vernell (our delivery team) you were friendly, helpful and professional. Horrible location and customer service. Was told by their salesperson Adam that I was purchasing a sleeper sofa. 2 weeks later when I received the item I found out I didn't get a sleeper sofa. Spent 2 hours trying to contact the store with no answer. After contacting corporate I spoke to Ashley and she got them to answer. I spoke to Gene who said he would fix it and call me back in 15-20 minutes. When he returned my call the only thing he could offer was that I pay $380 more dollars to get what I thought I had purchased. When I told him that wasn't right he told me to call corporate and deal with it. After speaking to Ashley she told me I could pay the $380 and they would help me with "free shipping". Do not do business with these people. They will lie directly to your face to get a sale and then come back with their hands open when you need them to fix their mistake. I wish I would have read the previous two complaints before I bought anything from this store. After waiting a month, we finally received our bookcase. The leg on the bottom right was cracked and damaged. We had the delivery guys take it back with them and tried to schedule a non broken piece to be delivered. The customer service rep scheduled it for the next day, and said that a rep would be calling to confirm the delivery window. After not receiving a call, I called to confirm a time. I was informed they could not deliver it and it would be another delay. I kindly asked to cancel the order and get my money back. This was not an option because of their terrible business practices and customer service. After dealing with Ashley furniture, I have decided that I will be opening a furniture store soon because if these idiots can turn a profit with the way they run business, than anyone can. Firstly, I tried to claim a repair on a sofa from the Montage protection plan and was declined because it did not fall under THEIR definition of an accident. The representatives at the front desk were no help to resolve the issue. I tried to have sofa repaired out of pocket thru Ashley and the customer service rep. spoke to me in a rude manner while trying to schedule an appointment. The Montage Protection plan is a complete SCAM and they try to find any loop hole to not repair the furniture. Please save your self the headache and just try somewhere else. I wish there were a way to give zero stars. Don't waste your money on the Montage Protection plan. read more

I went into this store to find a kitchen table. I found the table i wanted with additional chairs. The sales associate wrote me up for what I assumed was all right. When I received the Table I noticed that they sent me the wrong size chairs for the countertop height chair and so I called and spoke with a manager and they said that I would have to pay an additional $50 per chair in order to get it replaced and that the sales associate wrote the wrong price down and wrong chairs which was not my fault, hence I can't write up the order. They refuse to correct the problem so I sent the Two chairs back. Absolutely horrible! I ordered furniture and a mattress from here and a completely wrong mattress was delivered to me. I called customer care within 15 mins after the delivery to inform them that I had received the wrong mattress, including sending a picture text of the label. It has been 10 days since then and I have still not received the mattress that I have paid for. I have talked to various managers and customer care agents, including the store managers and they have all voiced that I will receive the correct mattress, but still nothing. No return customer care calls, no follow-up, nothing! I have never experienced this type of customer service. I will NEVER buy ashley furniture again! read more

I would put this place on the avoid list. First and foremost, their refund policy is 48 hours which begins when you make the purchase and not when they have your product available. You will find that their delivery dates and times available for pick will almost always be in excess of this period of time therefore is a trap. For example, I ordered about $2k worth of items and were all claimed to be in stock at warehouse however wouldn't be "unpacked and ready" until 3 business days later. Sure enough, I go to warehouse and only 4 of the 6 items ordered were available. Accepted the items available and told them that I needed additional items as advertised. I called customer service, they indicated that I cannot return items since it is in excess of 48 hours of purchase and would need to wait 3 weeks for the order to come in. Called sales person, they advised they will look into and circle back to me- no response. Called customer service, advised to hold for a manager (my entire commute from Galleria to Spring during rush hour)- end result hung up on. Eventually decided to stop into salesroom and create noise on showroom floor in order for them to process a return (Still waiting on refund 2 weeks later). Had to purchase items elsewhere which was cash and carry. My recommendation is not to live this nightmare yourself and go elsewhere. read more

Do not purchase from Ashley's. While the sales person was great, after the sale is where the issues started. On the first couch we received, the cushions were nothing like they were in the store. They were deflated and looked as if the couch had been sat on countless times. We returned it and purchased a new one. The very night it was delivered, the leg on the couch breaks. That was 3 weeks ago and the people they have scheduled to come and repair the couch are just as bad. No time frame on the repair was given but we specifically asked for the evening time. The repair man called in the morning and stated he would be at our place in 5 mins. Uh- no you won't because I am at work. He then proceeded to tell me he would call Ashley's and set up and new appointment. 2 weeks later, we call for a new appointment because obviously the guy didn't call to set one up for us. We scheduled the appointment and were given a specific time frame and was told we would receive a call 1 hour to arrival. We did receive a call but it rang twice and hung up before we could answer. No message left. We immediately started calling back thinking it was the repair man. No one would answer the phone and no one called back. So finally fed up, we called Ashley to return the couch and they told us the only thing the could do was reschedule it AGAIN for the 3rd time. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE!!!! read more

Horrible customer service! I spent two hours on the phone trying to find out why my furniture hasn't been delivered yet after almost a month and nobody seems to know or even care! They even told me: "be glad it wasn't delivered and broken like most of the times"... Are you kidding me???? Please do yourself a favor and shop your furniture somewhere else. We went to Ashley for the quality furniture and ended up receiving such poor service it's hard to imagine how they are still in business at this location. After making our selection our sales associate got us through the payment process, but only after correcting his "math error", of course in Ashley's favor. Believing in the better nature of people we moved ahead with the purchase. We were then told the good news that they could make same day delivery. We rearranged some previous plans and rushed home to clear our bedroom for the delivery of our new furniture. Shortly after we finished our rush clean out job and changed our plans, Ashley called to tell us they weren't coming to our neighborhood that day so we would see them Monday between 3 and 10pm. Monday we had not heard from them so we called. The "in stock" furniture we were promised same day on Saturday didn't arrive to their warehouse in time to make the delivery truck on Monday. They were coming with some of the furniture and we could pick another date for delivery of the balance. We tried to call our original sales associate, but the number he provided was no longer in service. I guess that's the number he uses when he lies to his customers. It took forever to reach the store on the phone, but that was futile. Apparently the store manager has no influence on the delivery process, or that's the story we were told. We were promised he would handle the situation and call the next morning. Tuesday morning came and went with no call. At 2:00 we called and prompted a quick scramble by the manager to get the items loaded for delivery between 5 and 7, after we got home from work. At 3 o'clock we got a "courtesy call" saying they would be at our home in 25 minutes. When we told them we would not be home and expected delivery between 5 and 7 we were given three options. Have delivery made to a neighbor's home, have them leave the furniture on the side of the house, or reschedule AGAIN. For what they charge you would think this circus could hire a ring master who had their act together! Customer service told us "sorry, but all we can do is tell you what's happening. We can't change it or explain it." They lied about the price, they lied about having items in stock, they provided no communication unless we initiated it, and their employees all have mastered the art of passing the buck. But they do it with a smile, especially after they get your money. ***UPDATE*** Delivery attempt three - FAIL. We were given a service window of 5 to 7 Tuesday, called at 3:15 saying they'll be there in 25 minutes. Customer service says they'll wait for us to rush home, but they don't. Then we're told they'll come back between 5 and 7, but they don't. Then we call at 7 to see when they might be coming and we are told by a supervisor that this is "NOT a customer service issue." He spouts off about Texas law regarding furniture delivery and says they'll be back between 2 and 10 tomorrow. We explain we aren't available which gets us nowhere. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! But again, they explain, it's not their fault. The delivery is done by a third party contractor and poor Ashley Furniture has no control over them. read more

I would never recommend Ashley Furniture to anyone!! They conveniently do not make their furniture available to the consumer within their 48 hour return window policy.... Even if the furniture you receive is broken, they will not give you back your money, only store credit!!! Deceptive trade practices and the store manager is a jerk. read more
