The DUMP is CLOSING!! I got that alert on my email blast! It's working l! :-) When you come in…read morelooking for a specific item and actually FIND it in clearance that's a DEAL!!! We were immediately approached by Mr. Eli. He was welcoming, personably, and friendly! I love an eager sales person confident in finding what you need when you walk in the door! All you need to do is let Mr. Eli know what exactly what you want and he will walk you around the store trying to find what you need. It takes excellent customer service, knowing what's in your store, and listening skills to seal the deal. We found a little of something in different areas! How can you get a couch for $102!!! Blessed or what! Perfect timing! Barely any customers in the store on a Sunday.

Extremely Disappointed with Misleading Pricing at The Dump Furniture in Houston, Texas…read more I am extremely disappointed with my experience at The Dump Furniture in Houston, Texas, regarding what I believe was misleading advertising and a lack of accountability for the prices displayed in the store. I saw a wine cabinet advertised for $295, with multiple units displayed in various colors at the same marked price. When I informed a salesperson named Walter that I wanted to purchase one, he went to speak with another salesperson. Upon returning, he told me he had bad news: the actual price was not $295, but $1,190. He then offered me a 20% discount, which was nowhere near the advertised price. I explained to Walter that I had visited the store earlier in the week and another salesperson had quoted the same $295 price. This made the situation even more frustrating because I had every reason to believe the displayed price was legitimate. I then requested to speak with a manager. The store manager, Lisa, stated that she was already aware of the issue and explained that only the CEO had the authority to honor the displayed price, but he was unavailable. She instructed Walter to take my contact information and said they would call me if anything changed. I explained that I had traveled more than 35 miles to purchase this item and that I did not have the time to keep making unnecessary trips because of pricing discrepancies that should have been addressed before customers were allowed to shop. Despite explaining the inconvenience, I left without the item and without a resolution. Frankly, I have little confidence that I will receive the promised follow-up call. My biggest concern is the lack of transparency and accountability. If multiple units of a wine cabinet are displayed with a price of $295, customers should reasonably expect to be able to purchase the item at that price or receive a clear explanation of any legitimate pricing error. Offering a 20% discount on $1,190 is not an acceptable resolution when the advertised price is $295. This experience has seriously damaged my trust in The Dump Furniture. Customers deserve honest pricing, clear communication, and management that takes responsibility when a pricing issue occurs. My advice to other shoppers: Do not assume the prices marked on furniture at The Dump are accurate. Confirm the price with management before making a special trip, and be prepared for the possibility that the price displayed may not be the price you are actually asked to pay. I hope management takes this complaint seriously and improves its pricing practices so other customers do not experience the same frustration and wasted time.
