I want to start this off by saying that I should be writing two reviews. Our experience did not start off 5 Stars with sales person Mario; in fact I would rate it as a negative 5 star experience, but thanks to the effort put in by the manager Jeremy and sales person Brianna, it definitely ended that way. Jeremy and Brianna modeled how a sales experience should go and I thank them for that. Jeremy was patient and thoughtful as he listened to the bad experience my wife and daughters had with Mario and was committed to making sure Ashley's was not represented poorly by one bad apple. If anyone in upper management is reading this, be very thankful to Jeremy and Brianna because this review of your store was not going to be this positive had the only experience been what Mario had to offer. read more

I purchased several thousand dollars worth of furniture at Ashley Furniture in Murrieta, CA. I specifically chose top-grain leather--but inquired about the warranty for stitching. I purchased the $300 warranty from GBS Warranty Services--which they recommended. No paper copy of the warranty was provided at-purchase. No paper copy of the warranty was provided by mail. Only a telephone number was given and it was handwritten. Several years later--and we are beginning to have trouble with stitching--I called the Insurance company... ...and got a copy of our policy. I found that literally NOTHING is covered but "stains" on finished top-grain leather (which doesn't stain). The adjustor related that she daily rejects "countless" claims for policies erroneously sold by Ashley Furniture. This company has less-than an "A" rating with the Better Business Bureau. Hundreds of unresolved complaints. Derogatory notations regarding [dishonest] communication patterns with consumers. They have now set-up a shell corporation in Nevada. Does Nevada even have a state insurance commissioner? Don't buy a policy from this company. Don't buy products from manufacturers who don't warranty their own materials or workmanship. This was a horrible experience. We were deciding between two different dining sets and the sales person Michael rung up and delivered the wrong one. I called immediately and told them they had sent the wrong set and they said there are no refunds once the items has been delivered. The worst part was Michael (the sales person) told us we had 48 hours to return something or change our mind yet in the contract it says there is no returns. So he flat out lied to us! But, the return policy should not matter anyways because they gave us the wrong table. They should of just exchanged it for the right table and everything would of been fine. I called and talked to several different people and stressed that it is not the table I ordered and they refused to exchange it for the right one. I will never do business with this company again. The manager of the store did nothing to help us and refused to resolve the situation or let me talk to the district manager, who they said made the final decision. Don't shop here. They may have nice stuff, they will greet you the moment you step foot in the door and will follow you all around and show you everything they have. But once they hook you and get your money their "customer service" goes out the door. They don't care for customer satisfaction after you make your purchase. We purchased a Queen bedroom set (mattress included) and when delivered they send a twin mattress!! First off it's stated on the paper work what needed to be delivered. But ok people make mistakes. So we called to get it fixed and now they don't have time for us, giving us the run around as to when they can come back and make the switch. Finally we got a supervisor involved, she scheduled a new delivery date, the day came and NO SHOW!! Not even a curtesy call. When contacting the store manager all she had to say is sorry for the inconvenience. Anyways, we were able to cancel the mattress that never made it now we're stuck with a queen bed frame and no mattress cuz they have a zero return policy. Again no customer satisfaction, once they take ur money that's it they move on to the next and can careless if ur happy with their product or not. She said that once the item(s) are in your home they can no longer take it back. Not even offer a restocking fee like most other furniture places do. This place is a joke. Whatever you do with Ashley HomeStore DO NOT PURCHASE THE 5 YEAR INSURANCE PLAN that they want to sale you on top of selling you furniture or mattresses. IT IS A SCAM!!!! I just contacted the warranty department o have some furniture fixed and they told me that since I did not contact them within the first 30 days of the damage, they will not cover it. When you pay for a 5 year insurance plan, it should be covered for 5 years, not just for a thirty day period!! If I could leave zero stars, I would. I bought a mattress and base for my daughter last year, I went in today to buy the exact same mattress which they have in stock, for the same price I bought it for last year, but today they want to charge me nearly twice as much money. Saying that they can't price match their own store even though I bought it at the same store and I had the receipt in my hand. Augustin, the "store manager "was totally useless. He basically tried to make me feel stupid for wanting to pay the same price that I did the last time I bought the exact same mattress. It's no wonder this place has horrible reviews. I shopped several times at Ashley in Murrieta. Unfortunately, I can say that the service is completely different than I have experienced in the past. In the past, I met with sales representatives that were aiming at helping you. This month, I met salesman that were trying to direct your choices and trying more to make a sale. This was unpleasant, but somewhat a little bit expected. However, it went worst during the actual purchase process. It started with the salesman actually asking me to give him my credit card pin number twice (!!! - that I did not). The salesman also imposed that I choose Concora that had a shorter 0% over Synchrony that had 60 months (special). The whole sale transaction was confusing and slow with the salesman asking several times the same questions (was he doing duplicates?). I think that it was the billing department and the salesman that were a little bit dodgy. I gave me all together a really bad impression. If I could give it negative stars I would. DO NOT SHOP HERE. SCAM ARTISTS AT THEIR FINEST. I purchased a mattress from this store on a Saturday and upon arrival on Tuesday it was damaged. The top and bottom part of the bed dipped lower than the middle section of the mattress--- this if we were to sleep on it we would essentially be sleeping on a mattress arching our back the entire night. So after waiting three days to get the damaged mattress, we decided to call next day (Wednesday) and report it damaged and ask for a refund or exchange. We did not sleep on the bed at all, afraid that if we drooled or sweat that the mattress would be void of any return. Customer service told me they would get a technician to look at the bed (not bring a replacement) on Saturday. When I final decided I don't even want the hassle of having this bed we can't even sleep on until it was reviewed by a technician --- I wanted to return it to get my money back. I called and said please just send a truck same day as a technician to pick it up and send it back. They responded with -- it takes 48 hrs from the technicians inspection to schedule an exchange delivery. AND THEY DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS. So the mattress I ordered on a Saturday... delivered on a Tuesday, inspected on following Saturday, to then have a call on Monday to schedule a new mattress delivery to most likely be delivered that next weekend. In short I paid full price for a mattress that is non refundable (we still haven't slept on it) and to wait three weeks to get a mattress we can sleep on. Also just to note their customer service woman JESS I spoke with was rude and raised her voice at me multiple times while trying to figure out a solution to THEIR problem. NEVER SHOP HERE. read more

We are very disappointed with Ashley Home Store and their customer service response. They are always busy giving excuses because of Covid -9. We ordered a chair back in Jan and they keep back ordering the same. If they can not deliver the product why in the world sell it and display it in their stores? They do not follow up on orders and when you want to contact them you wait and wait for hour before they answer and never answer. If they want to stay in business they need to hire more people to answer the phone and communicate with their customers. They're charging me for the missing panel which the salesman admit it was his fault. Don't recommend! No customer service! Spent over $7,000.00 on dining room, living room and bedroom furniture. Everything was delivered on May 30, 2019. Delivery people rushed out and left before we could inspect everything. Issues: wrong bench for the dining set, several drawers in dresser will not open, scratch on leather sofa. It's been 2 weeks since delivery and we have spent HOURS calling this store, Ashley corporate, and the distribution center. On four different occasions we were told to expect someone to arrive at our home to switch out the bench and make repairs. FOUR times we made arrangements to be home from work and wait all day. No call, no show! So keep in mind that if you do seem to be getting a good deal up front by purchasing Ashley furniture that you are gambling. Likely you will end up paying more on the backend in wasted time, aggravation, fuel, missed days from work, etc. Now we have to drive to the Murrieta store (1 1/2hrs drive each way) to speak with the manager in person since no one will answer the phone. Ashley Furniture is a nightmare do not ever buy from here expensive and very cheap. Haven't even had my bed frame for a year and it's destroyed from the cheap support provide. Contacted customer service they sent a guy out who told me because I have under the bed organizers they aren't going to replace my bed since it's a "modification" which is exactly what happened which was literally the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard because under the bed organizers doesn't cause the wood of the bed to crack and to brake down the way it did. This bed was also very harmful to my one year daughter who has gotten stuck because bottom bed "support legs" broke because of the cheap screws that cracks and she got stuck from the head board after the bed sunk. Terrible service. We purchased a full living room set including the table carpet lamps and throw as well as two couches. The couches came As well as the table. They forgot about the lamps to throw in the rug and two weeks later things have not been delivered. Our delivery guy Was pretty sketchy looking but friendly enough. I would not want him in my house without me there. All of the furniture needed to be adjusted. We go to hutch that is still out of whack on the doors. They were going to send out a technician to fix things but never did. Very disappointed. I just got off the phone with the service center to try to get a technician to come out. I held for 20 minutes before I finally hung up. Additionally the store finally answered after the fourth try and they told me they could not help me with getting a technician out and the lady was very rude. Finally after asking her for times when our items were going to be shipped the rug is coming into weeks and everything else did not have an estimated time of arrival. This company is a joke. We will never do business with them again. We went to Pottery Barn for our other items and have been pleased with the quality and customer service. We received a call today saying that they would not deliver the items we paid for. This store refused to deliver the order because they realised today that they don't deliver to our location despite having the delivery address for the past 5 days. When my wife went to the store to resolve the issue, Richard the sales manager treated my wife in an extremely disrespectful and threatening manner. I would give this location less that a star if possible. I will be pursuing resolution through corporate if possible. Do not waste your time looking for furniture at this store. If you are a Veteran and have no patience for rude and disrespectful behavior, I do not recommend doing business with this location. Do NOT buy at Ashley! I bought a bedroom, living room sofa, coffee tables, corner chaise sofa and a TV stand. I have had to call them 3 times in a 3 month period to claim warranty for 3 different pieces of furniture, that is cheap quality. My furniture is low usage and still don't last more than 3 months before it starts falling apart. Bought he 5 year protection plan they offer that is a scam just to get more money, report the defects to the protection plan you HAVE to tell them it was due to an accident, otherwise they will send you back to Ashley to claim the 1 year manufacturing warranty that does not exist because if the issue is not reported during the delivery, Ashley will tell you the is a "customer use issue" and that you have to claim it through the protection plan. We stopped by in here looking to buy bar stools, a bench and a piece to go in our foyer. They were having a great deal and actually visited twice (forgot to check-in the first visit! -_-). The first visit was nice. An employee named April greeted us right when we walked in, told us about their promotion and was really helpful. She kind of followed us around (like they all do), but she made sure not to bother us until we looked like we needed assistance which is great. We put our shopping on pause since we wanted to check out Jerome's and she was cool with that. We did, however, fall in love with a decor piece that we wanted to purchase no matter what, so if anything, we would return for that after checking out Jerome's. When we came back after checking out Jerome's April appeared to have already left for the night as another employee offered to help us. We didn't like that he was kind of pushy and insisted he help us even after we told him we promised April we'd come back for her. Because of this, we decided to come back the next day. When we came in the next day, no one greeted us when we walked in at all. We just came in for that decor piece so we decided to go with whoever will be available to help us. My SO tried to get the attention of an employee in passing by saying to him, "Excuse me, we are ready to make a purchase". This employee named Mike was so rude. He acted like we were totally getting in his way and didn't want to give us the time of day. Frustrated, Mike snapped back with his response, "I have two other customers" and proceeded to walk away. My SO and I were very upset at how he handled us. He could have just said that he has two customers ahead of us and will be back with us as soon as he could or that he could get someone else to help us make our purchase... I mean, for all he knew, we could have been making a huge purchase and he would've lost out on it. In the end, Agustin DeLeon ended up helping us and he was AWESOME! This is going to be a long one- so stick around lol. We've been furniture shopping for some time and on a whim decided to stop here. We're glad we did. So much so.', that I'm writing this AFTER our 7k purchase from Ashley. The store is a bit cramped and not well lit-so wheelchairs r users be warned. However-if your lucky enough to get ISHMAEL (ISH) or Sydney (both are extremely good sales reps) they'll move furniture out of your way and blaze a safe trail for you. Yes rust me-I in a wheelchair and they did that for me. Also-when it comes to customer service, product knowledge and overall just "being a decent human" you won't find sales reps any better. We purchased a dining set, living room set and furniture for our formal. We left extremely satisfied not only with the pieces we purchased, but the pleasant experience we had with our sales team. In fact-having a background in customer service-I expect a little more and am very cognizant of the quality we receive in any dealings. It's maybe my downfall byt I'm unapologetic for it. If I'm going to spends hundreds of not thousands or f dollars- I want the service. Period. I've walked away from car negations over $10. It's who I am. So when I feel compelled to speak to the store manager to let him know how appreciative I am of this type of WORLD CLASS CUSTOMER SERVICE....you should know I mean it and have the background/Experience to validate it. Today-Ishmael brought a table from the other side of the showroom just so we could get a better idea of what we wanted. He also did the same thing with lamps. We didn't have to keep going back and forth. He made it easy for us. In fact-the entire 3 hour process was EXTREMELY PLEASURABLE. In addition to the furniture he moved for us- we also had him look up several sets only to have my wife change her mind. Not 1 time did his smile leave his face. Not once did his voice show any frustration or anger. Great help. And I mean it. Give ASHLEY a try. By the number of complaints on various sites I am another victim of Ashley Furniture. Buyers BEWARE!!!! Their furniture is JUNK. I ordered at table and the table was broken and had to wait for another to be delivered. I also ordered a couch that "I" didn't accept upon delivery as the leather (pleather) didn't meet at the seam and there was a hole! These items were shipped on the same day as this chair. When our furniture package was delivered the sectional came with 2 sofa pieces and no armless chair piece so while we were worrying about why the centerpiece of our order was not coming together properly I overlooked the fact that the throw blanket that was supposed to come for the set was not with it. I signed off on the order because they promised to deliver the missing piece for the sectional later in the week. Only after everything was set up after the second delivery did we realize the throw blanket was not actually delivered in the first batch. Perhaps it was with the accessories or rug that were being shipped rather than delivered? Nope. So I called the store and because it was on the initial order that was delivered and signed off on the customer service person int he store told me they had the reciept and it was signed. The only choice was her contacting the warehouse regarding the throw from a month ago. I asked if I would hear back that day and was told it "was a waiting game". I informed the customer service rep that if I did not get what was paid for I would be writing reviews about being shorted. As I was explaining this she interrupted and told me that was fine because they had the signed receipt. The throw was discounted to $36 in the package and I felt as though the customer service rep thought I was trying to put one over on them to get an extra throw. I felt discounted and felt like they believed I was trying to scam them all for a $36 throw that I never received. If I don't get everything that I paid for I can promise you I will never be purchasing from this company again between botched deliveries and rude employees outside the sales staff I feel like I was the one getting scammed. read more

Highly disappointed! Ordered a mattress, box spring and a medal bed frame December 19th 2020.. Was told it would be delivered in two weeks. They called a few days before delivery saying that the mattress was on back-order and not in the warehouse. They set a delivery date to Jan 30th. Once again I received a phone call this week saying it never arrived to the warehouse and they have to change the delivery to Feb 14th. Why weren't we told this when we purchased it all in Dec.
