I had a great experience with Mattress Firm this week. Desperately needed a new mattress cuz I'm old now and my super expensive, plush pillow top wasn't cutting it any longer. Been sleeping hotter too and ain't nobody got time for that! My wife and I had been reading online for weeks about hybrid, memory foam, traditional inner spring...there's so much info and a lot of it seems to be contradictory. We'd finally settled on a hybrid since you can get lots of cooling but also a firmer feel. We'd settled on one brand in particular (won't name it cuz we went with something different). Decided to go into Mattress Firm rather than ordering online and I'm glad I did. YES, they are sales people and their job is to up sell and make money. And while I was pushed toward a couple of BERY expensive TempurPedic options (they are amazing by the way), I was also shown some more reasonable options and encouraged to test them all. I tried several of the "budget" brands, between $1000-$2000 and found them to be either too soft or just not quite right. I also tried the $6500 TempurPedic. And I'm sure it's probably the best mattress money can buy but I can justify spending $8k with a new box and delivery and all that. I settle on a Sealy PosturePedic, hybrid, firm. It's amazing! For about $4k delivered and setup, my wife and I slept wonderfully last night. First night a long time she's been able to sleep thru the night. Val was great and spent nearly 90 minutes with me testing different brands and levels of firmness. The delivery crew was fast, in and out in about 10min including hauling away our old mattress/box. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION Went from a 5 review to 0. My wife & I went in and was greeted by a wonderful salesman. We felt like we were getting great service but that quickly turned around. We bought our bed on a Sunday and was told we'd get our mattress the following Sunday, great. A week goes by, it's now the following Sunday we weren't called or notified our bed wasn't getting delivered. We call the store and they aren't helpful either. Monday comes, I figure out the number to the actual distribution center and am told we aren't getting our delivery until Thursday. 13 days after we originally purchased it with no explanation. We finally get our bed and realize how soft it is after the first night and call the store to tell them we're completely dissatisfied with the mattress and want to swap it out for a firm one. At that time we're too we have to wait 21 days before they'll help us. Second night we don't sleep on the bed and I call the store and am given the run around that "they can't process a return over the phone" and that they recommend me to go to another location to get the return processed, so they don't get dinged at their location. After finding a supervisor, at another location, she then called the original store and told them they must process my return. After getting told by another supervisor, this store is finally willing to exchange the mattress. After being drug through the mud by this location, I now have to pay a restocking fee & another delivery fee.. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION, read more

BEWARE...When they tell you about their deals on a "Clearance" mattresses, you are purchasing a used returned mattress. They will explain there are no returns very quickly on checkout and the word pre-owned is written on the receipt in small print. When they are trying to sell you the mattress, they never tell you it's a used mattress, they only state it's on clearance. When they delivered the mattress, the words PRE-OWNED were written on the plastic cover. It's a deceptive way to resell their returned mattress, because they advertise a 120 day trial on new overpriced mattresses. read more

Bought a $2500 mattress. I was really stoked about it. The salesman made it very clear it was the LAST one at the manufacturer and I was so lucky to get my order in when I did. Went to pick it up a few days later (they wouldn't ship it to Fallbrook) and they sold it to someone else. It was the last one. They couldn't order it again until 2021. They continued to try to upsell me on a different one. Long story short: I asked for a refund. Walked 300 feet to Macy's and found a bigger showroom, lower pricing for the same mattress, and it'll be delivered and installed next week. Good experience until it came to receiving the bed. Still hasn't been delivered and they have gone to the wrong address twice now. They should have never been to the wrong one in the first place.. since on the original contract is the correct address. After the first mess up we called and said it's ok, make sure it goes to the right address next time and waited another few days for it. Today's the day, and they sent it to the wrong address again. We asked if they could drive a few blocks up the road and get it to us and they said they couldn't reroute it and left. I'm mad because it's on them again, and we have to pay a fee every time "we missed a delivery" so the fees are racking up and we truly can't be blamed for any of them. Now they are trying to say wait till next Tuesday and they don't have a way to reach the driver which is crazy.. how do you not have access to your products or the people driving with them? We ordered this bed two weeks ago. And it will never be delivered so we are cancelling our order. Customer service was good while buying, it was a great experience actually. But our phone calls trying to fix this issue have been terrible. read more

Went looking for a new bed for our guest room since we are now empty nesters. We shopped at a few stores looking for beds but nothing seemed to be what we were looking for. We stopped off at Mattress Firm and spoke to Patrick who was friendly, knowledgeable and helped us find just the perfect bed for our needs. We set up our delivery and the guys delivered our mattress and foundation just as scheduled. They delivery crew was very friendly and it was nice to see such hard working guys who seemed to enjoy working together and meeting customers on their delivery route. I hauled up the bed and got it all put together and it looks perfect and was really comfortable. I can't wait to try it out, wait though... its not my bed, its the guest bed. Horrible service. Order a mattress online Tuesday. I was told it was coming Friday. I took the day off work and we brought my daughters mattress down stairs. Then I had not heard from anyone so I inquired and found out that now it won't come until Sat. My daughter slept on the floor that night. I am still waiting to hear from them with a time for delivery and then find out it won't be here until Sept 21. I cannot talk to a human when you call the 877 number and no one was available for online chat. I called the Temecula store where I talked to Matt the Manager and he could not do anything for me. We had an issue with the initial bed that we purchased. I was waking up with aches in my back every morning. I toughed it out for a few months to make sure it was the bed and not just "growing pains". We spoke with the fella at sleep train and he told us to drop on by and he would get us set up with something different. We ended up trading in the bed on another model and now I have problems getting OUT of bed. It has made me lazy! Very happy with our experience here.
