Upon entering this store you are immediately overwhelmed at the array of choices in this vast space! It's huge but very clean and nicely laid out. We took a lot of photos & had long chats with some of the staff, who were super friendly and helpful. They advised we make an actual appointment with one of their designers. They offer free design services! Free? Yes, please! After several visits and still not knowing what we wanted we finally made an appointment with the exuberant & talented Laura Kashmere. This store is just what we needed in this area! They have great product and very helpful staff. We recently remodeled our kitchen and family room and we went in trying to find the right tile for a media niche area. They had a designer on staff named Lachelle who got us to try something a little more bold than my safe and boring picks and I could not be happier. She knew how much we needed and helped us pick a grout color. I was thrilled with the finished product and have gotten so many compliments. She was so talented and really listened to what we wanted. Also, Returns are easy since they keep your purchases on record. I couldn't keep track of all my receipts in the middle of a construction zone, but they had it all in the system. read more

Awful service throughout the entire location. Manager must've called out sick because staff certainly weren't taking care of customers. The entire staff goes on lunch at the same time for an hour? Then we get a guest experience survey call the next day. The guy asks us what we would rate the store and I give a low rating and he hangs up. If it's not a good rating I guess they don't want to hear it but they def don't provide good or even decent service. For people spending $XX,XXX amount of money you'd think they'd provide a bit more than what we got. I understand rush hour and being swamped and staff deserving breaks and lunches. Sometimes not everyone can go at the right time but to ALL be on an hour lunch. Come on. Let's plan a bit better. I was there for 2.5 hours shopping and waiting for help and then waiting for loading. Be advised that you can purchase everything nowadays from different sellers until you don't have a problem with the item, there is not much difference between them. Once you have a problem with a purchased item then you will see how they react to the situation. Return policy is very limited especially when it comes to tools! I purchase a self-leveling laser tool in January at the beginning of the remodeling middle of my other purchases from this store, After the remodeling was done and I moved in, I tried to use this item for the very first time to do my closet shelving and the item defected, I went there to fix it with a return or replacement of the same or similar item, a very simple return matter that you easily can do in home depot even for more than a year or most of the other sellers. the bold part is the manager of the Murrieta store was the one who insist on taking care of my return even though I already was talking to another employee (Nika who did seem willing to help), as an experienced administrator I can tell you that his customer service skill was very low and he was trying to find a way to find an excuse to not accept my item even if he sees it in the system. his response to my statements was very much rude as well which you can not find in so many stores these days. He saw my purchase history and when I saw he was not willing to be helpful, I told him as a loyal customer with almost $5000 purchases in your store you could at least offer me credit for the malfunctioned item that I wasted my money on, instead his quote; "You could spend 5 million dollars, still You can not return or receive any credit" I was very surprised that has such an experience with the store manager who should be skilled and kind to the customers for the sake of the store, I mean if and only if the company cares about their reputation. I leave the judgment to you guys I just needed to share it so if you are purchasing your tools make sure as long as it's available do your business with a seller who can back you up in this situation, not just do their best to turn you done. read more

I had gone to Arizona tile and had picked out all of my Tile for bathroom, which included backsplash, shower, accent tiles, shower flooring, floor. Unfortunately my contractor said I was way over budget and I had to find some thing else. He recommended floor and decor. I had to get everything within two days because they were going to start. Paulina Lara was the designer from floor decor who help me pick out material that was in stock and was similar to what I had from Arizona tile. Thanks to her design I was able to find something very elegant within my budget. Paulina did an amazing job helping me design my bathroom. I absolutely love it, it's a showstopper! I have purchased materials from Porcelain tile, stone, laminates, LVP and more for many years from Floor & Decor. Unfortunately, it offers a large variety of products for the consumer, however for the installer it is so much more work to acquire a complete order of the same batch number. We are typically told the balance of materials needed are in another City. So we have to travel on our own time. The store offers no discounts to contractors .... A lot of products have been picked through or returned damaged. What gets me is a simple phone call to them is typically unanswered, or no one is available to pick up the phone while it is teleprompter around the world. read more

We had such a fantastic experience with Jacob Durban! My husband and I had many questions as we prepared for two separate tile projects (interior and exterior) for our home. We drove from San Diego to Murrieta for a specific tile when it was in stock at the Carmel Mtn location. He knew his inventory and variations of model of tiles off top of his head. I purchased a vanity new in a box. I paid a plumber to install it. It was purchased September 2023. In October 2023 the entire top oxided. I contacted the store to return it. I got, blown off, accused of putting something on it and rejected for a month. I wrote, called went into the store only to be ignored. They made every excuse there was to deny the failure including telling me it needed to be sealed. Although I purchased it a box brand new. With no instructions stating I needed to seal it. After getting to the Murrieta's operations manger when I went into the store and refused to leave until someone talked to me, I was told bring it back but we will not pick it up or unistall it. I will NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE AGAIN. I am female and can not just pick up a plumber installed vanity and return it. These people were the most unhelpful bad business people I have ever dealt with and I have been realtor for 30 years! read more

I purchased my floor in June, 2021. Service was OK and pricing seemed good. I had no issues at first. I purchased Optimax Bowen Greige vinyl laminate flooring for my entire house. (1800 sq ft). It is a dull finish, with a slight groove in the flooring. It looks very "beachy/rustic" and I loved it. My problem started in May of 2023. I started noticing that the grooves in walkway areas and in front of the couch seemed to be getting smoother. Also a shininess was being noticed in the walkways of my home. I am the only resident of my home, no pets or kids. This was very distressing. I called Floor & Decor and was told I needed to hire an independent flooring inspector to come out and evaluate. I was given a list of possible choices. I was also told it would cost between $200 and $450 for them to come out. I called two inspectors and only heard back from one. Questinspect quoted me $450 (which I paid) and set a date for inspector to come out. He spent quite a bit of time checking and taking pictures and comparing these areas to excess flooring not used. After months of waiting for results, he called and had to come out again to do more testing. He took one area of the floor and seemed to scrub it with some solution and it looked like some color was in the solution as there were some drips off to the side after it all dried. The final result of this testing was that I put wax on these walkways and that the dull finish was achieved once it was cleaned. Actually the area he "cleaned" is different than the rest of my house! This is ubsurd and I told them that there was never any wax put on this floor. Why would I wax a dull floor (my preference in buying dull flooring) and why would anyone wax walkways!!! I was nelver believed and so without them saying it outload, I was called a liar. I feel this inspector has an understanding with Floor & Decor to ensure that no inspection ever goes against the flooring company and therefore no liability. I am 75 years old and I was willing to spend $450 to have this issue resolved. Do you really feel that I would spend that kind of money if I waxed the areas in question. Also, how does that explain the smoothing out of the grooves?? I do not feel this floor should have worn as quickly as it did. The shine is due to the top coat wearing away, as with the grooves. This was not the most expensive floor, but neither was it the cheapest. Buyer beware! read more
