The Bridgewater Candle Company helps feed children around the world. This shop also carries the Farm House Fresh (FHF) skincare line. I love their sumptuous lotions! The interior is festively decorated for Christmas and chock full of a variety of unique gifts like jewelry and items for children. It is a little pricey but not over the top. I spoke with Kelly, who was working at the counter. She was so friendly, welcoming, and sweet and we chatted for a bit. She explained that they also have classes for crafts like jewelry making & candle making. It's something I'm interested in exploring further. She let me know that Angie owned the shop and there were challenges when the pandemic hit. I'm so heartbroken that so many small businesses were adversely impacted. I love supporting small businesses. Like I told Kelly small businesses are the backbone of the American economy. They have a prayer request wall. I submitted a request along with the myriad of requests already hanging. So much prayer needed in these times. I thought that is so cool & gracious on the shop owner's part. What a blessing! You can tell that children find the shop magical! They were awestruck by many of the items on display. Hearing their squeals of delight brought joy to my ears & warmth to my heart. It is a feast for the eyes. It's decorated so tastefully, it's organized, clean and bright. I couldn't help myself and made a few select purchases for gift giving. Don't take my word for it! I would advise if there is a specific item you are seeking come early in the day because popular items go fast! There are bargains to be had if you time it right. I was correct in assuming at the scarcity of items available. However, I was able to pick up some toys for Toys for Tots. I buy toys throughout the year so I have a bundle to donate when collection time comes around. So my visit here was not wasted. My purchases were under $20, which kept me within budget. The employees here are always so nice & welcoming.

I'm not writing this to attack anyone, because everyone can have an off day. However, I do think additional customer service training on professionalism, communication, and customer engagement could make a significant difference. Customers who are making major purchases should feel welcomed and appreciated not as though they're interrupting an employee's day. I truly hope this feedback is taken constructively, because the store itself is beautiful and has so much potential. Improving the customer experience would make it an easy five-star business.

I also had a great experience with the sales team on the floor. They were more than helpful and accommodating to help me choose the correct pieces for my home. My lovely husband and I frequent the coffeehouse a few doors down weekly (shout out to The Press Espresso). We noticed the ever so inviting Lilium Lee, and decided to step in to take a look around. Welp, I was sold haha, I set an appointment to come back with my mom to discuss potential floral arrangements. When I came back they were so sweet and helpful with creating a one of a kind "forever" floral arrangement for our shower. The ladies were very helpful in making sure I loved what I purchased, and even made some last minute changes and didn't make a stink about it (thank you its my crazy horomones). I will be having my shower in about 2 weeks, and Im so excited to share the arrangement, and also to be able to keep it for our daughters nursery. Thank you ladies, this mama is very happy! In the past the owner has not only been rude, but intimidating and often left me feeling like she was doing me a favor by allowing me to peruse her merchandise. When I arrived yesterday I discovered that 11 months ago "European Living" received a new owner. She was genuinely kind and helpful even ordering additional product for me to help me complete my project. The selection is not fairly small, but like I previously stated. I didn't really know…read moreanything about European style tablecloths before but the young woman who owns the shop was very knowledgeable and introduced me to some lovely French provencial patterns and shared some of the history of the cigale (cicada) pattern. Decided to get a rectangle to fit the family dining table with the leaf in it, and upon her recommendation, I treated myself to one with the specially treated finish--spills wipe right off and yet I can still feel the nice fabric. So much nicer than vinyl! Loving the way the table looks, and can't wait to go back and get another one in the round size to use when I take out the extra leaf.
