The Bridgewater Candle Company helps feed children around the world. This shop also carries the Farm House Fresh (FHF) skincare line. I love their sumptuous lotions! The interior is festively decorated for Christmas and chock full of a variety of unique gifts like jewelry and items for children. It is a little pricey but not over the top. I spoke with Kelly, who was working at the counter. She was so friendly, welcoming, and sweet and we chatted for a bit. She explained that they also have classes for crafts like jewelry making & candle making. It's something I'm interested in exploring further. She let me know that Angie owned the shop and there were challenges when the pandemic hit. I'm so heartbroken that so many small businesses were adversely impacted. I love supporting small businesses. Like I told Kelly small businesses are the backbone of the American economy. They have a prayer request wall. I submitted a request along with the myriad of requests already hanging. So much prayer needed in these times. I thought that is so cool & gracious on the shop owner's part. What a blessing! You can tell that children find the shop magical! They were awestruck by many of the items on display. Hearing their squeals of delight brought joy to my ears & warmth to my heart. It is a feast for the eyes. It's decorated so tastefully, it's organized, clean and bright. I couldn't help myself and made a few select purchases for gift giving. Don't take my word for it! The store itself is beautiful, with an impressive selection of furniture and home décor, and that's what has kept us coming back as repeat customers. Unfortunately, the customer service did not match the quality of the store. During checkout, the employee assisting us was on her phone while we waited, which made us feel like we were an inconvenience. We also had a disappointing experience with the phone customer service, as the representative came across as unfriendly and dismissive. I'm not writing this to attack anyone, because everyone can have an off day. However, I do think additional customer service training on professionalism, communication, and customer engagement could make a significant difference. Customers who are making major purchases should feel welcomed and appreciated not as though they're interrupting an employee's day. I truly hope this feedback is taken constructively, because the store itself is beautiful and has so much potential. Improving the customer experience would make it an easy five-star business.

A few days ago, they had several mid-century style pieces of furniture that were new. Seems like most of the furniture are manufacturer closeouts, or dent and scratches, This Habitat ReStore amazes me, because it is in a nice modern industrial building, which I have never seen Habitat occupy. The others I have been to , are in the oldest most run down buildings in low rent areas. However, as nice as this building is, you look way up at the ceiling, there is no AC or other cooling system. It was over 100 degrees when I bought this chair, outside temp. They leave the front door open for the breeze but you feel all the hot air, that is hotter than the temp inside the building. The employee at the cash register, near the open door where all the hot air was coming in, said "Yep, no AC". But if you didn't have air circulating, even hot air, it would be a greater hotter oven. They have a separate room, where they sell small stuff, not even related to building or home stuff, like bike helmets. The thing about this store, the things they sell here are newer, and not used and sometimes broken and chipped, like the other Habitat ReStores have. The donations come from manufacturers or commercial businesses rather than individual donors that are remodeling their homes, or got a new piece.

I would advise if there is a specific item you are seeking come early in the day because popular items go fast! There are bargains to be had if you time it right. I was correct in assuming at the scarcity of items available. However, I was able to pick up some toys for Toys for Tots. I buy toys throughout the year so I have a bundle to donate when collection time comes around. So my visit here was not wasted. My purchases were under $20, which kept me within budget. The employees here are always so nice & welcoming.

My lovely husband and I frequent the coffeehouse a few doors down weekly (shout out to The Press Espresso). We noticed the ever so inviting Lilium Lee, and decided to step in to take a look around. Welp, I was sold haha, I set an appointment to come back with my mom to discuss potential floral arrangements. When I came back they were so sweet and helpful with creating a one of a kind "forever" floral arrangement for our shower. The ladies were very helpful in making sure I loved what I purchased, and even made some last minute changes and didn't make a stink about it (thank you its my crazy horomones). I will be having my shower in about 2 weeks, and Im so excited to share the arrangement, and also to be able to keep it for our daughters nursery. Thank you ladies, this mama is very happy! I visited twice, and the first time I talked to the owner, and the second time I visited, I spoke with her mom. They both were not welcoming.
