Excellent service. Maria was very helpful and offered many great suggestions. Helped us to pick out a wonderful selection. Thanks Maria.

Highly recommend this place for pickup - I have not tried getting the delivery. The arrangements matched the description online and the customer service is great. The flowers are fresh and even misted in fresh dew drops. read more

Marcy has been helping us for years. She is always willing to help us even when we have last minute requests. She and her staff are great and they can get anything you need. She is my go-to for florals for our catered events and I have sent many of my friends her way for weddings too. It's great to support a family business in Berkeley - especially when they provide such personalized service and when they go above and beyond to help our events go great! Also, the flowers are super fresh - when we keep them in our cooler they last and look good for a long time! read more

I called Ashby to deliver flowers to my daughter on her Birthday. They were pleasant to talk with, quick, efficient and simply amazing with a beautiful arrangement. Highly recommend this wonderful place! read more

Received cut flowers from this vendor today. They represent what I like least about teleflora: someone in another state orders what they hope will be a gorgeous remembrance based on website photos. The flowers that arrived were fresh, but mostly green fillers. And looking at the prices, I'm sure the arrangement was pricey. I won't be telling my friend, not today anyway, which is a day for thanks. But I'll warn him off in future. Too bad! read more

Gorgeous flowers that last a very long time! The owners are incredibly nice and really make sure you get a beautiful arrangement. Lots of choices and they carry other gifts, as well. Highly recommend this florist for any special occasion or just to pick up something nice for your own home. read more

Ashby flowers is the worst delivery service ever . I ordered my flowers on Valentine's Day to be delivered to her work and Ashby didn't even get it to her on time . MARCY the store owner was rude and abnoxcious . I was put on hold for 1 hour at the end of it I canceled my delivery . And on top of that because my wife never got her flowers she LEFT ME because she thought I forgot valentines . Ain't that something ??? read more

Marcy went above and beyond my request for these specific colored roses I was searching for to give to this special someone. She was very knowledgeable when it came to the type of roses I was requesting and was able to accommodate my request on such late notice. I will definitely be returning just for the EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Thanks again for all your help. read more

Ashby Flowers consistently does an incredible job. Not only are they a joy to work with, but their bouquets and arrangement are beautiful. I can spend many words describing what a joy it is that I get to work with Marcy. As a wedding planner, you look for vendors who are talented but also responsive, timely and professional. Marcy is all of those things and one of the best in the industry. I am always delighted when I get to work with her. Getting your floral needs at Ashby will not disappoint, especially if you get to work with Marcy. read more

Ashby Flowers did the flowers for my wedding back in July of 2017. They did a fabulous job! I spoke with Marcy and another florist a few times to get all the arrangements organized. We had quite a few bouquets and boutonnieres, in addition to a beautiful wedding garland. They were delivered to our location right on time, and everything was organized and gorgeous. Even worked with us to help lower costs, and gave excellent suggestions for our themes. Easy to work with, and reasonable prices. Thanks for everything! read more

Absolutely beautiful!! My fiancé ordered a bouquet for Valentine's Day and it is my favorite bouquet he has ever given me! The flowers were so vibrant and fresh and the bouquet was full on all sides. I told him any flowers he gets me moving forward have to come from here! read more

Attempted to ask a simple question and was given two sighs over the phone. Understandably it's Valentine's Day but customer service shouldn't be so atrocious. Disappointing given the high reviews for this place. read more

Marcy was extremely wonderful to meet with. My fiancé, Jackie and I walked in with no appointment on a Sunday morning. Just our luck Marcy was in. She told us she usually doesn't work Sunday's, but for some reason it was meant to be that we met that day. I explained my vision for our elegant Hawaiian themed wedding and she just knew exactly what we wanted. I can't wait to see all the centerpieces and bouquets on our special day! read more

I love Ashby Flowers. Maria is a wonderful asset to the shop!!! She's always kind, personable, and keeps me coming back.

Absolutely the worst customer service we have ever experienced. Not only a worker there but also the owner. No time of day for you for even a short phone call explaining what kind of flowers we wanted and their process of delivering them. I am sickened by how they talked to my friend and I . Wish I could give 0 stars. As we were inquiring about the ideas for the flower arrangement ( trying to give her our business ) she wouldn't take the time of day to listen for 2 minutes to our concerns and ideas NOTHING COMPLEX just were simply orchids. Owner then said " you can go get your flowers done somewhere else" extremely disappointed and I will be telling everyone I know never to go to this shop. Other places will treat you like a human this place will not. Complete trash . read more

I called at 9:30am and they were able to make custom corsage and boutonniere for me by 11:30am. Fantastic. Marcy was great and accommodating. read more

Very pleased! Called from Massachusetts asking for an arrangement to be delivered to a close friend. With very little guidance, Ashby Flowers created a gorgeous design. It was delivered on time and the person I spoke with was delightful. read more

Ashby Flowers - Florists Near Me - Berkeley, California

Don't order your corsage from here. Someone else came in and "picked up" mine. The store was super busy, so they just decided to give my order from months ago away. Super disorganized. read more

This review is 3 years overdue... I was desperate for a special funeral floral arrangement at the very last minute and despite being busy with spring prom/wedding orders, Ashby flowers was able to put together something for us that really helped commemorate the memory of my son. It was beautiful and meaningful for us. We sincerely thank you for the wonderful service you provide. read more

This is a great little Berkeley establishment that has always done a better job for me than the much nearer florists to my Oakland home. Usually I find an inexpensive mixed bouquet out front that I like ($10-$15) and ask Marcy to add some flowers to it. I'll point out some that appeal to me -- occasionally I'll even get the name of the flower right -- and she'll help with color and advise on whether there's a better choice. Today I asked for a $40 max and the very fresh bouquet was just what I wanted; it barely fit into my car it was so big. read more

I had just recently had knee surgery and wasn't progressing to health as quickly as I hoped. Sunday was my wife's 31st birthday and I still wasn't able to move around without her help, meaning that I couldn't go pick up the gift I had planned for her. I called the Ashby flower shop while she was out of the house on Saturday and they put together a beautiful arrangement of flowers and delivered it on Sunday for her. I was really happy with their flower service. To top it off, and the reason for the five star review, is that while we were talking on the phone I had to go get my wallet from across the room. This is a long procedure for someone on crutches who hadn't properly prepared and we chatted while I did it. The young lady on the phone offered if there was anything at all she could get my wife and offered to go to the Whole Foods around the corner. My wife is an extremely particular eater and I didn't want to have to describe this to her but an idea popped into my head. My wife's favorite dessert in the whole wide world are the cupcakes from CupKates food truck. I mentioned this to her and she offered to go to the truck, wait in line, and get the cupcakes for her, which she did! My wife was beyond surprised and beyond happy when the delivery truck came and gave her the bounty of gifts, it was a solid win! I tipped them generously, but nothing makes up for the generosity of originally proposing the idea and taking the time to do it. I'll be using Ashby Flower Shop for all my local flower purchases in the future :) Thanks! read more

Ashby Flowers delivered a gorgeous bouquet for my friends's graduation. I cannot say enough good things about their customer service. I accidentally put in the wrong delivery address. I was able to speak with them and Ashby Flowers was kind enough to pick up the flowers and deliver to the correct address. I do not live in Berkeley but I recommend ordering online from them if you have a loved on in the Berkeley area. read more

Excellent! Brilliant! This place made me look real good in my girlfriend's eyes for valentines day! She disregarded the fact I had one eye that worked and 3 noses on my face. It was my first time not getting my flowers from Safeway and let me tell you with a little planning flower shops are worth the money. I told them my girl's favorite flowers were and they made it happen. Roses, lilies and birds of paradise were the three I asked for. I have a hard time trying to get birds of paradise at a grocery florist shop. The only downside about Ashby flower shop, is they don't sell milk and eggs. Good job Safeway. They asked me if I wanted to just give a credit card so I didn't have to wait in line to pay. All I had to do was go to the back and pick them up. Best moment was when I picked up the flowers and so were other guys. They saw my and said good job. Thanks guys. But hey we're all winners we went the extra mile and went to a flower shop. I am safe in betting we all got some valentines day action that night. read more

Ashby Flowers is awesome! I work for Berkeley High School and am the Inclusion Specialist. I work with kids who have special needs and many of them come from low income families. Great neighborhood florist, I called last minute on Valentines day, I was working in Panama and could not be with the woman that I love and I wanted to propose marriage! So in spite of being so busy delivered a really amazing dozen roses in a purple vase all dressed up and arranged with a note with my simple request 'will you marry me' she said yes!..(on skype) now I go to Ashby florist whenever I need flowers, Ashby's flowers are 1000% better than the ugly flowers at whole foods...and they are right next to wholefoods...so east bay, support local non chain owned businesses and enjoy the fair trade healthy flowers that they offer... read more

Ordered a lei from here for graduation over the phone. The woman was so helpful and let me know that the dyed variety of lei's might bleed in the rain. I didn't want to chance it so I ordered white and it was gorgeous. She even advised me to leave the lei soaking in water if I wanted to wear it again for my next ceremony two days later. They are so awesome and helpful with a good price as well! read more

I didn't realize how good the Ashby Flower Shop was until I moved to San Francisco. I used to always get graduation/any special occasion flowers from Ashby flowers so I have been there around a dozen times? I really like the flower arrangements they make for you. Just walk in and say, can you make me a $40 bouquet with lots of yellow? and BAM! just like magic, they make a very well arranged bouquet for you. But one thing with this place, the bouquets they make are very big and they don't wrap them very tightly (that's just their style) so make sure you tell them you want a very tightly wrapped bouquet or you'll end up with an enormous flower garden hanging off your arm. Overall: very nice people who are also very skilled at what they do. have been to many florists in SF and haven't found any as good as Ashby flowers. Try them out and you'll be pleasantly surprised. The price isn't bad either. read more

I worked with Ashby Flower Shop on a sad occasion. I must say they were very professional and lived up to the great reviews on Yelp. I was at a lost of words and they put somethings together for me. I told them my colors and they did not let me down. They delivered the arrangements as agreed. I would not hesitate to use them again. They are a small little location near Whole Foods and they get the job done. read more

I had the most amazing flower arrangement from here for my wedding. Marcy really managed to capture my vision, which was a bit different then the usual. I had blue and purple glitter roses and star gazer lilies as the main attraction. My arrangement also included various and assorted other treasures such as those purple furry balls..(I don't know there official name) I thought the price was reasonable, my flowers were ready on time and all done with humor which is plus in my book. I highly recommend! read more

I didn't used to get my girlfriend flowers very often because I only knew about expensive florists. Ashby Flower Shop is great for a few quick, sweet smelling flowers for my honey. I don't inherently see the cost benefit of flowers, so frankly, cheap is the way to go for me. read more

How rude and disrespectful! Their customer service is atrocious! A friend of mine bought some flowers for me for a surgery I am having tomorrow! I got a call today at 9:30 asking me to pick them up. I told her I wasn't sure I could she got a huge attitude and said "so basically you bought a $50 bouquet and now you not picking them up!" And hung up on me. When I called back she proceeded to start yelling at me!!! I could t believe it! There are too many florist in Berkeley to deal with people like that! If I could give no stars I would! I came here on a recommendation that I could get an excellent deal on loose rose petals and was quoted a price of around 15.00 for a large bag. While their arrangements seemed a little pricey for my budget, the rose pedals were unbelievably affordable! I came in late the night before valentines day to get a little added surprise for the gf and they asked me how much i wanted...I said a medium bag ( I was filling a gift box plus wanted extra to spread around). They quoted me $5 (inbelievably good deal!) After weighing them and ringing them up with tax, i walked out the door with a large (in my opinon) bag of pedals for less than $7! The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly and gave me the options of red, white, or whatever mixture I would prefer. Not only were they helpful but they got me out the door in less than 10 minutes at the busiest time of the year. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to surprise their significant other with a nice treat. I will definitely be doing this for the gf again and at this price definitely dont need to wait for a special occasion. Thank you so much Ashby Flower Shop! read more

There are a lot of great places to buy flowers in Berkeley, but sometimes for maximum impact you need to have an arrangement delivered. I had them design and deliver a floral arrangement for an anniversary, and they did a fabulous job: the delivery was on time (there's a reasonable fee for deliveries), the flowers were beautiful (and fresh - they lasted a good ten days), they worked within my budget, and they were very nice folks, to boot. read more

Marcy at Ashby Flowers did all the flowers for my wedding and she did an AMAZING job at an incredible price!!!! The flowers were gorgeous, exactly the colors I wanted, perfectly arranged and all around unbeatable!!!! And, exactly on budget!! When we met, I just told her the color family I wanted, that I wanted whatever was in season (to keep the cost down), and how I wanted them to fit in with the rest of the colors. We walked around the shop and she asked me about different flowers, so she got a feel for my taste. Then I put it in her hands to make all the final decisions, and WOW!!! Peonies, Roses, Gerberas, and a bunch of others I can't even name, colors just right, amazingly beautiful!!! Ashby Flowers is a small store but busy (because they're so good), and once or twice it was hard to get ahold of Marcy (the wedding was right after all the graduations, which is a crazy busy time for them), but then when I spoke to her I was always assured that she knew exactly what I wanted. And she was so right!! I had consulted with other florists who thought that centerpieces needed to cost over $100 each - holy cow are you kidding!?! I went to Ashby and I told her how much I could spend (which was *really* not that much for a wedding with 90 guests) and she absolutely made it work. She respected my budget and didn't suggest I had to spend more. And, the flowers were so incredibly beautiful, I couldn't have been happier with them!!! Thank you Marcy and Ashby Flowers for my PERFECT wedding flowers!!!! read more

When my second grandchild was born, I asked them to please send something extra special (the day the baby brother was coming home) for the Big Sister. They not only helped me with what to send, but delivered it when she would be home (since the time kept changing, waiting for hospital to release them). My granddaughter was excited and happy with the balloons and dalmatian puppy they added to the roses. Personal service was outstanding as was the gift. Highly recommended read more

The flowers were beautiful but the customer service was crap!!! The woman who personally helped me was this really nice Asian woman! (Why I'm actually giving it two stars) But the lady with really short hair was so mean! And it was valentines day! She was telling me "to stop playing show and tell" because I was trying to see how I wanted the arrangement and apparently I was holding up people. The other lady was helping me so I don't see why the short hair lady was so rude. And she was taking her time with the other customers. I don't pay $56 to be publicly humiliated or reprimanded. read more

I can't say enough about Ashby Flowers and their awesome team. I had a flower emergency the day BEFORE my wedding, phoned them up and was able to get everything I needed just in time for my I do's.
