Emilia Flowers does incredible incredible work. They've put together graduation and retirement bouquets for me- not easy tasks!!!- and absolutely nailed it both times. Could not recommend any more. They ask tactful and insightful questions to put together an arrangement that sends your messages of love. Beautiful flowers, beautiful people. read more

I go to Emilia's when I need a beautiful and creative arrangement. I walk in with a price point and pick out a color or flower that I like and then they build a gorgeous arrangement for me. I am never disappointed. You'll never buy grocery store flowers again. The service is always amazing. read more

Flowers are always so nice and the employees are always super nice as well! Would highly recommend if you really want some nice flowers!

A pretty good flower shop with a good selection of flowers and service. The arrangement they made for me was beautiful.

Where do I begin. Went to get a grad bouquet for my girlfriend and the service was terrible. I showed a picture of a bouquet style to one of the employees and after looking at it and asking what my budget was he laughed in my face. The selection of flowers wasn't great, including not having baby's breath available. The bouquet was wrapped hastily and poorly in brown paper with gaps in between, it wasn't cut evenly or neatly, and was crinkled at the bottom. The bouquet ended up being quite small for the price as it only had a few roses in terms of the most expensive flowers. I could have easily arranged it better by buying flowers at Trader Joe's and wrapping them myself. With the poor service and lack of attention to detail, you'd be better off going elsewhere. read more

I recently purchased a bouquet from Emilia Flowers for my sister as a birthday gift . . . I shared the amount of money I was able to spend, and the wonderful gentleman who helped me created a gorgeous bouquet (that my sister LOVED!). He was warm and friendly, so in addition to appreciating his mastery with flowers, I also enjoyed speaking with him. I highly recommend this flower shop, if you want a beautiful custom arrangement for someone special ~ read more

When I contacted Emilia Flowers flower shop, Arian, the owner, was out making deliveries. He promised to get back to me once he returned to the shop. True to his word, he called me back promptly and assisted me in selecting flowers for a sympathy bouquet. He was incredibly accommodating regarding both my flower preferences and the delivery timing. I would not hesitate to order from the shop again, as the customer service was outstanding, and the arrangement turned out beautifully. The family who received the flowers reached out to me and expressed that they found the arrangement to be beautiful as well. Thank you, Arian!! read more

Emilia's is a floral haven in the middle of Berkeley! I've gone here twice now for bouquets, and Arian has been amazing helping me assemble custom, personalized bouquets. He walks me through the different flowers to choose from, brainstorms with me which ones might go best together, and then puts together a beautiful bouquet. The process doesn't feel at all rushed, and Arian clearly has a lot of knowledge about and passion for flowers. If you can avoid it, don't settle for supermarket flowers!! The quality and customer service at Emilia's is excellent. read more

I was so excited to see that Emilia Flowers moved into an indoor space just across the street from its old location! I wanted to find unique flowers to go into a new vase and the young man who helped me was really nice and held up different flowers for me to look at. I was also really surprised to find that the stems I chose cost way less than I expected. I love this floral shop, they are attentive and really understand and know their plants! read more

Love this crew -- the most beautiful flowers. They are STILL HERE, just moved in out of the cold, across the street near the post office.

Incredible flower shop! Great customer service. Extraordinary selection of unique and classic flowers.

They are still open! They moved to an inside storefront across the street on Shattuck next to the Post Office (just haven't updated their website yet). Friendly service just like before and beautiful flowers as always. Thankful to have this neighborhood flower shop still in business read more

Emilia's flowers are by far the best I have ever seen at a flower shop. The owner goes far and beyond to find unique and gorgeous selections. Most flower shops tend to have "all the hits" for sale, but the owner Miriam, always has surprises, exotics and just astounding combinations. Miriam is not your typical American customer service experience with all smiles, she is an artist raised in Iran who has lived through alot. She is serious about her work, sje cares for the quality of her product and apparantly she travels all throughout the Bay Area to find the best possible floral possibilities to bring into the shop. I appreciate her customer service through her flowers and arrangements. I highly recommend Emilia's for only the best arrangements or at least for a visit to experience the beauty she brings into Berkeley. read more

I came to Emilia's flowers seeking a bridal bouquet, boutonniere, and a few floral arrangements for my wedding on my husbands ranch. I gave Maryam a few inspiration photos and we discussed ideas and theme colors and wow, she delivered!! My bridal bouquet was elegant and unique and it matched the rustic country theme perfectly. She was very thoughtful and accommodating with my last minute requests as well. Most of all I appreciate her creativity/artistic touch and beautiful selection of flowers, fresh and preserved. read more

I've never gotten flowers from a real florist (not Safeway or Costco) before! However, I run by this store a couple times a week and after seeing the sad selection at Safeway, I decided to stop by here to pick up some flowers for two friends performing in a recital. The woman working was very friendly! I told her what I needed, gave her a price range, and then gave her free reign. She chose some gorgeous, bright flowers and paired them beautifully. All the flowers here look healthy and alive- a much better option compared to Safeway! I would say the price is a bit high considering the size of the final bouquets, but it was worth it considering how knowledgable the staff seemed to be. I'm sure if I knew anything at all about flower arrangement, I'd have been able to give more feedback on what I wanted, but as it is, I was able to trust her to take care of it. They accept credit! I wish I had either come later in the day or asked her to wrap the stems. I realized too late and had to figure out a way to make sure the bouquets stayed alive and beautiful for my friends! read more

I called Emilia's this morning around 9ish sometime after they opened to see if I can squeeze in a last minute flower delivery and they were able to fit me in. For that I will give them 4 stars. The flowers that my friend received were beautiful and she liked them. The only thing I'm a little disappointed about was the minimum price to have something delivered $45. However, there is an additional $15 dollar fee for delivery on top of the minimum price ($45) before they actually deliver flowers. I have a lot of experience with flower shops and that is a very high minimum price. I was already ordering a $35-$40 arrangement which already should have been sufficient. I don't think I will be ordering from here again. I can find another place who will do just as nice of a job. read more

I called Maryam at Emiilia Flowers about delivering two bouqets I had picked out on her website for a memorial, and she said, "Sure we can deliver them then. May I add some fall leaves and use a bigger vase at no added cost, to give the flowers more presence in the room?" She and her designers made two magnificent arrangements including lots of big, beautiful flowers and some branches. Her delivery person brought the flowers at just the right time, and placed them facing forward on the pedestals. The flowers framed the people speaking and singing, adding joy to the celebration of my friend's life. read more

Elegant, gorgeous arrangements. Maryam did an extraordinary job on flowers for my daughter's wedding, creating an aesthetic that transformed the space - the look was both sophisticated and festive. We especially loved her use of seasonal flowers and plants that brought the garden into the house - and kept costs down. She was easy to communicate and work with too. read more

Love this place and the folks who run it! Always friendly and knowledgeable and a great eye for style.

I've been coming to this stand next to the Cheeseboard for years. They always have wonderful fresh flowers and wide selections - you can find beautiful roses, peonies, dahlias, etc, but they also have unusual and rare flowers that will make any bouquet extra special and unique. And the flowers always stay fresh for days. That is why I decided to go with Emilia's to do the flowers for my outdoor wedding. I asked the owner for several special center pieces, a bridal bouquet, boutonnieres/corsages for the bridal party, and green garlands to go around our lantern center pieces on dining tables. I was looking for deep colors, sage greens (succulents or eucalyptus), and a mix of roses and "interesting" flowers. The owner was very knowledgeable - she got what I was going for and gave me useful suggestions. She was very no-nonsense about the whole thing and steered me away from some iffy decisions. Plus she was upfront about costs and helped me factor that into my decision making process. It was a pleasure to work with her! On the wedding day, she was at the venue 30 mins early. She set up everything and checked with me several times to make sure that everything was to my liking. The flowers were gorgeous and I LOVED them! I highly recommend Emilia's flowers for any special occasion or just for a fresh bouquet for the dinner table! read more

Yet again another stunning arrangement. I needed a large piece for a private dinner party at a restaurant. I brought a picture of the room, set a budget, and told them to go to work. They had it done on time, within my budget, and it was truly an attention grabber. I've probably bought 10+ bouquets and arrangements over the years. Every time I receive compliments even from people walking on the street. Consistently good service, product, and value. read more

Maryam of Emilia Flowers did the flowers for our wedding, and they were stunningly gorgeous. She worked with me to stay in our budget and listened to all my thoughts about color and design. What she came up with far exceeded my wildest dreams. I absolutely loved the arrangements, boutonnieres and my bridal bouquet. I highly recommend Emilia Flowers! read more

I am really lucky. I have the benefit of being good friends with one of the delightful florists at Emilia's. This is a double win for me, because it means that I get to be friends with someone awesome who also happens to know a whole lot about flowers! Which is exactly what I needed when planning the flowers for my wedding because anyone who knows me knows that I don't know much about flowers other than they look pretty and smell nice. Jess and the folks at Emilia's took my unclear ideas - a jumble of adjectives and a wrinkled photo from SF Bride and turned them into a work of art. I have never been too good at the small details and probably wasn't that helpful when I said things like "Oh, you know whichever flowers you think are best" or "I don't know, I kind of like the roundy, pointy, purpley yellow ones." However, the ideas some how got communicated because the flowers at the wedding represented everything I had dreamed they would be. Unique, jauntily vibrant and locally inspired. Whether it's for an everyday pick me up, a lovely hostess gift or a wedding, you can count on the florists at Emilia's to help you make a beautiful statement in a poem of flowers. I completely recommend them for lovers of floral niceties of all kinds! read more

The day before my wedding, frustrated by the browning selection at indoor shops, I came here. They helped me pick the flowers I'd always imagined (with peonies to die for), and were so kind. The flowers were fresh enough to survive a pretty tough out-of-water journey to my wedding venue and still look perfect. I had many adoring comments upon the inclusion of sea holly in my arrangements. Others mentioned that they understood why I never tossed my bouquet. read more

I bought a bouquet from Emilia last weekend. They definitely have beautiful flowers - I'll give them that. I got fuschia dahlias, tube roses and pink hydrangeas. The tube roses lasted forever and smelled amazing, but the dahlias and hydrangeas died the next day. For a $50 bouquet, I would like it to last a few days. The owner was not friendly, and it wasn't the first time I have experienced a sour mood from her. After I picked out the flowers, she asked me if I wanted her to arrange them. Yes, I want them arranged. Isn't that what I'm paying $50 for? There of plenty of great flowers spots in Berkeley. I don't think I'll return to Emilia. read more

I had high expectation for this place. The flowers on display are beautiful, however the arrangement the girl made for me was meh! Nothing very exciting and definitely overpriced. I could make a better bouquet from Trader Joes flowers. I do not recommend this place. read more

Every year or so I cave and go back to this place and the each time I remember why I stay away. I tell them a budget and they always go over. I spent over $35 for a very simple and modest bouquet. The flowers were not even that fresh and some were browning along the edges. You can get much more beautiful and better priced options at Freshly Cut near Monterey Market, or even at Whole Foods. read more

Lovely flowers, but a bit pricey. Nonetheless, the best florist in North Berkeley, I think, and quite personable. Most importantly for me, they open quite early. Hours earlier than anyone else, actually. They will make you a gorgeous, unique bouquet. You will pay for it, but it is worth it. read more

I had high expectations for bouquets at Emilia. The flowers on display are beautiful, they're located in a high-profile area, and they have passable pre-made bouquets. I asked for 2, small bouquets that I planned on decorating my house with. She asked how much wanted to pay, I told her about $10 each. She took out a dahlia, a gerber daisy, a lily, and a rose and said that was $10. That was her idea of a bouquet? Horrible! The flowers looked ridiculous together. The colors were all different, the styles were totally different, it looked stupid. I went there hoping for someone to pull a little bouquet for me; someone who knows flowers better than I do. I ended up choosing some flowers myself, a couple stems of hydrangea and some dahlias. The woman helping me added some pine branches which looked a little weird with the hydrangea, but I guess that's what I get when I ask for some greens. She kept asking another woman questions about what she was doing. I couldn't hear her exact questions, but the other woman was quite surly and answered her brusquely. I do not recommend this place at all. If you're looking for a full service florist to create a bouquet for you, don't come here. They're not very friendly, lack knowledge and artistry, and it's too much money for what you get. read more

A certain somebody had a really bad day (it involved a dead rat) and so I though I'd get her some flowers. I walk by this stand daily and decided to try them out. This was the first time I had ever purchased flowers in person, so obviously my ignorance was overflowing. I basically only knew I wanted something blue. The two ladies working were exceptionally nice. They put together a small bouquet for me (yes, featuring blue) that was simple and tasteful and I was pleased. It came out to just under $9. In the end, she loved them and therefore I loved them. Thanks emillion, Emilia. read more

This is my first yelp review--I had such a positive experience I wanted to write about it! I asked for a small bunch of flowers and said I wanted to spend about $10 so I wasn't expecting very much but the owner made me an absolutely beautiful bouquet (definitely more than $10 of flowers). It made my day--thank you! read more
