My only experience at Ash has been the Coquito breakfast/brunch cafe that is open from 8am-noon, and from this experience alone I'm a huge fan. A friend and I took our little ones here and had a great brunch date in the middle of the week. The coquito latte was great, the food was great - and the staff was super friendly and it was a nice space to catch up. Just saw that the Coquito pop up would be leaving Ash soon and we're sad to see it go!

First time here and absolutely loved sitting at the bar. Really great decor and the bartenders were amazing. The food was so creatively presented and so delicious. We got here in time for happy hour, which was nice so decided to have a dozen PEI oysters. I would eat another dozen if I could and that's how good it was. It's not traditional in that. They already add a bit of the mignonette to the oysters. The presentation on the pebbles was just beautiful. Focaccia bread was huge and just perfect amount of salt and the ricotta was scrumptious. Then we shared the chicken cutlet and it was very large so really good dish to share or have leftovers. So flavorful with the capers and just so tender and not overly breaded. The quality of the food and service are just great. All sorts of folks come here so you don't have to dress up or you can. There is outdoor seating as well.

I absolutely love this place. They have a happy hour from 5-7 at the bar or the outdoor seating and most of the happy hour items range from $8-$12. The limoncello spritz is amazing. Their oysters are some of the best I've ever had. The decor inside is very stylish and cute. And the service is fantastic! Their regular dinner menu is also very good. A Tampa gem!

Sooo Ash was the perfect choice for my birthday dinner! The restaurant is absolutely adorable with its pink color scheme, which gives it such a great date-night vibe. Our waiter (I sadly forgot his name ) was wonderful and helped us navigate the menu, which is on the smaller side but clearly means everything is thoughtfully and carefully crafted. The chef even sent out a starter bread with some kind of cheesy goodness, and wow... so good. Everything we ordered was delicious, and I truly enjoyed the entire experience. If you haven't been yet, this is a perfect spot for a date night or a special occasion dinner. What we ordered: Crispy Artichoke: Delicious Chicken Cutlet: Fancy fried chicken and sooo good Tonnarelli: Flavorful

Great food. Great happy hour. Love the vibes. Found it just a few months ago and it's already in the regular rotation of spots in the friend group now.

I am not hard to please when it comes to food, being that I really do love it all. But my experience at Ash was something to rave about! The attention to detail, the staff and the food were out of this world and I highly recommend it. My friend & I went out for girls night and decided to treat ourselves to the tasting menu. We had such incredible food, some of the best tastes we've had yet in Tampa. The favorites were definitely the eggplant, chicken cutlet, and the sundae but when I say everything was 10/10, I mean it. Thank you to Ronnie, our incredible server, who made sure our experience was nothing but exquisite and knew our dessert order before we even told him! A refreshingly incredible dining experience.

We went for a Valentine's Dinner and ordered off their special menu. Great service, cute decor and the food was good but small in portions. This is a really small restaurant so making reservations is a good idea.

Delicious food, great service, tasty cocktails! You can't go wrong with the chicken cutlet or the pistachio pasta!

Snapper with two different sauces (half green sauce and half onion sauce) It is just out of this world! Served with charred cabbage.

Ash is our favorite restaurant in Tampa. If you are looking for a modern creative place with a great ambiance perfect for any occasion and incredible food that is also healthy, Ash is your restaurant! We come here for a typical random weekday dinner, but also for special occasions. Their dishes have been some of the best I've ever had. I don't love pasta but I LOVE the pasta here. The seasonal fish is always so fresh and prepared perfectly. Their chicken cutlet is a 10. Their drinks are top notch. You can tell the staff cares and you are never rushed. It is also conveniently close to everything in a prime location on Water St. You can't go wrong with Ash. I always choose Ash when we have visitors from out of town.

This was our first time at Ash and we will be back! The happy hour deal from 5-7 can't be beat and we really loved our bartender. The food is impressive and the location couldn't be better on Water Street. Small inside but absolutely worth the visit.

My wife and I go to a lot of restaurants, but Ash? This place knows what it's doing. Our server Lily was fantastic. We both ordered espresso martinis. I decided to switch things up with bourbon while my wife went with the traditional vodka. Both drinks were perfectly balanced and honestly set the tone for what turned out to be an exceptional evening. The crispy artichokes had me questioning why I don't eat more vegetables. Perfectly crunchy outside, tender inside - they've basically solved the artichoke puzzle. The beef tartare was simple and fresh. Then comes this focaccia, still warm from the oven, making everyone at nearby tables jealous. The red snapper was so fresh it probably didn't even know it was dinner yet, and the strozzapreti with wagyu beef cheeks? Pure genius on a plate. We finished with the marzipan sundae - macerated strawberries, amaretto cookies, and at this point I'm convinced they're just showing off their skills. But here's where it gets next level - they made my wife a congratulations card for her new job and had the entire staff sign it. I mean, who does that? It's the kind of thoughtful gesture that makes you realize you're not just eating at a restaurant, you're experiencing genuine hospitality. Bottom line is Ash delivers on every level. Great food, great service, and the kind of personal touches that turn a good dinner into an unforgettable night. What can I say except, "You're Welcome. "

This restaurant is quite extraordinary! From the amazing service, well curated drinks, and delicious food. It is also beautifully decorated and have great music playing. I'd recommend this to anyone! It's a great place for a romantic date or cute girls night out. Here are the items we got to enjoy: -Focaccia with whipped ricotta and herb oil -Caviar Bump -Mafalde pasta with lump crab, XO sauce, and preserved lemon -Organic Chicken with chanterelles, Marsala, and roasted grapes Dessert: Marzipan Sundae with macerated strawberry, amaretti cookie crunch, rosemary honey Each item had their own burst of flavors! Everything was very tasty and unique. I definitely will be going back!

I am coming out of yelp retirement. I lost my 9 year yelp elite status in 2023 becauae of pure laziness. I haven't written a review in years. It has been ages. Ash literally made me re-download the app so I can share this delicious goodness with you all. Yes, you heard it here first. I am out of retirement and it is because the food at Ash is so great I have to tell everyone about it. So, let's begin. Okay errbody, grab a seat and put your brightness up. Ambiance and vibes: Ash is a BEAUTIFUL restaurant. Small, cozy, great for an impressive first date. If it's a third or fifth date, go to Ash first, get tipsy, then head to alter ego (its right next door). Girlies, wear your heels (you can go in shorts we dont discriminate). Wear your black top and jeans (iykyk) and get your drinks because this place is cute cute) Food: The food is amazing. We took my in laws and we ate so much for such a great price. It is family style so basically share everything and that is what I recommend you do. We ordered one to two dishes of each part of the menu and two desserts. 4 drinks and the bill was STILL under $400!!!! We started with the raw oysters, yum. Then we went with crispy artichokes (dish 1) and fried rabbit (dish 2). ORDER THEM!!!! YOU MUST GET THE ARTICHOKE AND RABBIT, I BEG YOU. phew let me calm down. Im demure. Im mindful. Im a classy bitch. Ok back to food. Then we ordered the MKT fish and Wagyu Picanha- perfecto. The meat was perfect. For pastas we ordered Mafalde and the Tonnarelli AND get the foccaccia NOW with the pasta so you can dip the bread in the pasta sauce (carbs on carbs on carbs) sooooo good. Oh I forgot to mention earlier that my mother in law loved the artichokes so much she ordered them TWICE yeah. First time this has ever happened to us in a restaurant. Get the artichokes, K? K. For dessert we ordered the marzipan sundae and the secret menu item (panna cotta) do both. Really. Do it. You will thank me. Okay overall 10/10 and I have to thank two very important people. 1. The server at Noble Rice that recommended Ash to us. You know who you are and I thank you for knowing us so well you recommended Ash. 2. Our server for the night Maya, Maya was so knowledgeable and kind. Someone who genuinely knows what she is doing and made our whole experience wonderful We will be back and I do hope this review helped direct business their way. They know their food and what they do with artichokes is criminally delicious.

It's got that all-around fun, energetic atmosphere that makes it a solid choice for drinks. Not sure how it is during the week, but it would make for a fun date night spot to grab some cocktails. That said, I had a real hang-up the last time I went with my girlfriend around Christmas. They tried to hit us with a $10 cover just to get in, on top of $15-20 cocktails. I don't mind paying for a nice spot, but the cover felt absurd, especially since it wasn't even busy. The bouncer said we could make a reservation to avoid it, so I did...and then he made us stand outside forever before letting us in. At that point, we should've just left, but since my friend had never been, we stuck it out to try the themed Christmas cocktails. Once inside, there was a two-drink minimum per person, which is kind of crazy. It feels like they jip you either way...cover or no cover, minimum spend or not. While waiting outside (for no real reason, since it was empty), we chatted with a party of six who came straight from Ash (the sister restaurant upstairs). They'd just spent over $1,000 on their meal and were still getting charged a cover to enter Alter Ego. That's poor business, don't force extra fees to guarantee money when good music, drinks, and vibes should bring people in naturally and make them want to spend. There's plenty of places on Water Street with great (and I'd say better) cocktails where you're not forced into minimums or covers. The Christmas cocktail menu was disappointing too, poor selections and way too sugary. Love the potential here, but the strict policies really turned me off and made me want to go elsewhere next time.

She was funny, helpful, and attentive. And they are on top of refilling your water so you will never go thirsty. I'm not much of a drinker, so I don't have much to say on that matter. The ambiance was nice. A lot of eclectic paintings on the walls. And loved the outfits of the servers. Very 20's speakeasy. There is a live jazz band that started performing at 7 pm. They were good but at some points it was a bit difficult to speak and listen to those at your table unless you got really close. My meal hit the spot. We started with a charcuterie board for the table. It had a lot of great options like dried apricots, actual honeycomb pieces, and my most favorite cheese, some Brie cheese. The only thing was there was only 4 pieces of bread, one for each of us, which wasn't enough but I guess it made sense not to fill us up too much. For my main meal I had the sweet potato salad which was very tasty and the sweet potato risotto, which a little spicy kick. The only thing I missed was the Brussels sprouts and potatoes but was told that was from the previous chef. But they serve you enough so you definitely will have left overs. Not a big fan of eating in the lounge areas, those are best just for drinks and maybe desserts. But it's definitely a great place to people watch.
