There was one for cough, one for sore throat and another one was the popular med that people used for Covid. I only got the one for cough since we only needed cough meds. Came back today to get more of that cough meds since my son finished the first bottle and saw it helped. This time, the man was at the counter. He was also very helpful and friendly and told us what kind of soup to make. This is a very well-stocked Chinese herbal store and has helpful and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend this place.

However, I was very disappointed with my experience here, especially as someone who also works in pain relief and values Eastern medicine. * $155 for about 5 minutes with the doctor * No real shoulder exam, muscle testing, orthopedic tests, or nerve assessment * Pressed on a few tight spots I showed him in my shoulder and immediately decided on cupping + acupuncture without identifying the actual issue * 15 minutes of cupping, 20 minutes of acupuncture, and I left feeling exactly the same This felt less like individualized care and more like a "same treatment for everyone" approach. Eastern medicine can be incredibly effective when done properly, but this experience felt rushed, impersonal, and money-driven. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this level of care was unacceptable. I'm sorry to say this is an insult to eastern medicine. I've had eastern medicine and they never treated me without even identifying my problem.

I'm also taking herbs along with weekly Accupuncture sessions. I actually look forward to the needling sessions! He has a light touch and with the warm heat lamps, I've been finding myself falling asleep and snoring! You do have to be patient and allow time to pass. It isn't an instant miraculous cure. Zhang A Yi is incredibly knowledgeable about newborn care and immediately stepped in to help the moment she arrived, handling everything from feeding and bathing, to soothing him and putting him to bed. Given we're first time parents, she was also very helpful in decoding our son's crying/fussiness for us and provided great tips for taking care of him. In those first few weeks when we were still adjusting, she would oftentimes even cut her afternoon break short to help out, despite us insisting that she rest. It was honestly surprising to us just how quickly we became comfortable with Zhang A Yi and entrusted her with our son's care. She really treated our baby as if he were her own and it was very reassuring to see just how much she genuinely cared about him (and how much he enjoyed being with her as well). There was no shortage of smiles and cooing when Zhang A Yi was practicing tummy time with him or entertaining him with all his toys. In addition to Zhang A Yi being very attentive to our baby, she was also incredibly observant when it came to the day-to-day. She'd proactively clean any dishes that we left out, and on the occasions that we'd take our baby out with us to meet up with friends, we'd come back to a very clean and organized home (even though Zhang A Yi was not at all required to help with this). And as the cherry on top to all this - she's also a fantastic cook. You'd think that over the course of 3 months we'd have gotten through her entire repertoire of dishes, but she continued to surprise us with something new. Mealtime was definitely something we looked forward to every day. We've really enjoyed having Zhang A Yi as part of the family and would highly recommend her to anyone who's looking for a dedicated and warm-hearted nanny to help with taking care of their newborn.
