My surgeon was out of town and I had a few questions. Thank goodness for the people at A Plus Home Health Care . Right from the start I had a very good interaction with Delma who if I had to guess runs day to day in the office. She got the ball rolling right there on the spot and had a list of people from P. T. and nurses I would be seeing for the next few weeks. I couldn't think of any other people I'd rather have taking care of me after surgery then the people at A Plus Home Health Care . There's Amareet, ( I don't know if I've spelled any of their names correctly ), nurse Cathy, Delma, Robert and Kathleen from P.T. Each one of these people were caring and skilled at their job. Kathleen was just the best. From my well-thought-out exercise regimen to answering all my questions which people tend to have a lot of after having surgery. She called Robert in to have a look at my hip for the amount of swelling I was having. It was great having someone to talk to that who was able to put you at ease and let you know that what you were experiencing was normal . I can't say enough about all of these people and the wonderful company that they work for. I honestly don't know what I would've done if if I hadn't had the help these people provided. When you're scared, unsure and overwhelmed with information, it's nice to have people that take the time to listen to you and provide the care that you actually need. Thank You.

After doing the paperwork to remove her from hospice, I discovered that a med change had been made which I (as POA) was not told about. I was left in the position of a med prescribed by the hospice provider that couldn't be renewed because she was off hospice. All fine and good-except they had changed the dose. Her primary doctor wouldn't authorize the change so I couldn't refill it. Bristol refused to discontinue the med change because they were no longer providing services. I was left in that position. AND if that wasn't enough, my mom is in a memory care facility so if they did not give the dosage that Bristol ordered (without telling me) they would be out of compliance with the state and could be fined if licensing reviewed med records. I argued my way up the ladder so to speak and got them to change what they did. I would NEVER use this agency again. One star is only because no stars is not an option.

Different nurses arrived and despite repeated requests there is still no schedule after 3 weeks. A hygiene aide came but left my mom in her same clothes with no pants and just a diaper. We also asked for a meeting to address our concerns but it was rescheduled several times and no one ever followed up. At a time when reliability and compassion were most needed we felt unsupported and overlooked.

Overall, Creekview reflects excellence in both care and workplace culture.

If you are looking for a place for an Alzheimer's, patient to have a long-term care, this is…read moreprobably a very good solution. If you're looking for short-term skilled nursing, I'm not so sure. I brought my mom in here to recover from major surgery. They screwed up the medications for the first 2 to 3 days until I came in and sorted it out myself. And if you're doing this, just be aware, that if the hospital transfers a patient, it can take them a minimum of 12 hours to get the medication to their facility, but no one will tell you this. So as a result, my mother who is suffering from extreme pain due to major surgery, had to wait almost 12 hours for medication because once I realized what was going on, I had two traipse to her house and procure some myself. And even once I thought we sorted it out, they still kept forgetting to give her some of the meds she was supposed to have for her eyes. It was eminently frustrating. They treat everyone like a dementia patient whether they have dementia or not. This is a material problem for people who do not have dementia. If someone is trying to recover from something, it means they will not get the attention, exercise, etc. that they need to actually recover. They'll be told to stay in bed and not move. Not helpful. They are shortstaffed on skilled nurses for the facility. There's basically one per shift and that is the only person who is allowed to do much of anything other than very basic stuff. Another material problem in my point of view The facility itself is very nice, clean, with a variety of separate spaces that are all well maintained. The food was high-quality. There are enough people around that you can feel like at least someone is always on duty and attending to the needs of the residence. Everyone who works there is delightful. To be fair, they listen to my concerns and tried to rectify and respond in a timely manner. If this is considered one of the best of the best, I'm alarmed for what that means for my own old age. It was OK. Like I said, if you're using it for long-term Alzheimer's support it's probably fine.

It quickly became obvious that I was going to need full-time in-home care for her during my absence. That evening, I made a phone call to Visiting Angels of Livermore. They offered to provide a full no-commitment assessment, and I accepted. The next day, Mr. Keith Beck, Executive Director, came to my home and evaluated Mom's situation and needs. Mr. Beck was on-time, professional, organized and efficient. Following the assessment, we were introduced to a recommended caregiver who, assuming my approval, would be responsible for Mom. She was professional, very conversational with Mom and an experienced caregiver. By the end of the appointments, I was confident that Mom would have good, comforting care while I was gone. I was extremely impressed that Visiting Angels responded so quickly, and was also able to provide and dedicate quality staff in a timely manner. I continued the caregiving services on a part-time basis after I returned home as Mom was still not quite stable. Another caregiver was introduced and assigned. After a couple of weeks of continued part-time care, Mom became much better and I was comfortable with stopping the services. I highly recommend Visiting Angels of Livermore. All of my experiences (and my Mom's) were positive. It is a very well managed business with a reliable, kind, and supportive team: owner, office staff, and caregivers. Thanks to Visiting Angels I was able to enjoy my vacation. I will definitely use them again when and if the need arises. After talking to management she all of a sudden agreed with the office manager that she did need hospice care. It seemed as if the manager made her agree to putting mom on hospice care. My father lived in this facility for nine months, during which he fell 13 times, despite my clear…read moreand early disclosure that he had Parkinson's dementia. Rather than revising his care or offering support, the facility ultimately evicted him after his final fall, labeling him a "fall risk"--a fact they had known since day one. They violated legal eviction procedures by failing to give a 30-day notice, and informed me while I was out of the country, leaving my father in the hospital and me scrambling to find a new place for him. The lack of empathy during a vulnerable time was inexcusable. To make matters worse, the facility said the only way they would allow him back was if I paid for a private 24/7 nurse--an expense they knew was unrealistic. This was clearly a tactic to push him out while appearing cooperative on paper. Not sure if Aireen T. is still the director but she is not responsive, professional, caring, or compassionate at all. I had to involve Ombudsman to get responses from her on everything. There are also serious safety and staffing concerns. During a power outage in the heat of summer 2024, the facility had no backup generator. We overheard firefighters asking staff where the generator was, and staff admitted there wasn't one. During this incident a female resident was stuck in the elevator for literally hours on a hot summer day!! It was horrifying. Others, like the woman across from my father's room, were left in the dark yelling "hello, is anybody there?" My family and I went to her to calm her down ourselves as no staff member checked on her or other residents to reassure them during this electricity outage. They are clearly understaffed and many of the caregivers are not certified CNAs, and it shows. Staff routinely defer to residents' refusals for essential care, and hygiene, rather than providing informed, proactive support for those with cognitive conditions. Many times I showed up and I could smell he hadn't showered. When I asked staff why they would say that he refused so they didn't do it. Medication for my father was not consistently dosed at a consistent time which was also a huge problem. My father also experienced racism from two other residents, and when I raised this with the Director Aireen, they brushed it off--blaming the behavior on health issues such as UTI and did nothing to protect or acknowledge the harm done to my father. Aireen and executive management did nothing to soothe our concerns. This facility is not safe, not equipped, and not compassionate. I would not trust them with any loved one under any circumstances.
