That cost another ~$150. No treatment one the first day. No hands on assessment by the chiropractor. Went back the senior day (today) and sat in a room and listened to someone named Alex White who was in some remote location. He was called the "Case Manager". I'm sure he's not a radiologist or a chiropractor yet he was discussing my x-rays. His level of education was not disclosed to me. My x-rays were of poor quality and did not have a clear view of my ribs (which is the reason I sought care). I believe the case manager was to explain to me how much it would cost for future treatment. We never got to that discussion. I asked about getting my ribs assessed and treated by the chiropractor. I was initially told there would be yet another fee! This was waived due to the initial delay and "confusion" about why I was there. I did see Dr. Zak who adjusted my ribs eventually. This business model is a mess and poorly explained. I feel as though I wasted $200 for poor quality x-rays and minimum of thoracic spine adjustment. Awful health care.

My daughter had been struggling for months with a growth plate stress injury in her wrist. Despite following her orthopedist's recommendation to rest it for a couple of months, she still couldn't use her wrist without pain, discomfort, and significant stiffness. While acupuncture successfully relieved her pain, her wrist and forearm remained extremely tight, limiting her movement and keeping her from returning to the activities she loves. Wanting to explore additional options, I brought her to Julie for PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy. I was hopeful, but I never expected such dramatic results. Within just two days of her first treatment, my daughter noticed a significant release in the muscles of her forearm. After only two treatments, she was using her arm freely again and was excited to return to her normal activities. Julie, thank you for introducing us to this remarkable therapeutic modality. It truly felt miraculous to see the spark return to my daughter's eyes after months of frustration. You didn't just help restore her wrist mobility and function, you gave her back her confidence in her physical abilities. I only wish I had brought her in sooner and that I had known about PEMF therapy when I was recovering from my own back injury a few years ago. I am incredibly grateful for your expertise, compassion, and willingness to think beyond conventional treatments. Thank you, Julie! *********************************************************** I've been a patient of Dr. Max for several years, and he's treated me for various conditions. Most recently, he provided exceptional care for a herniated disc. Dr. Max is professional, easy and good to talk with, and genuinely cares about his patients. He understands that every patient is different and is open to adjusting his approach to be more gentle if that's what you need. His exceptional ability to diagnose the problem and make the proper adjustments to fix it is nothing short of miraculous. A key part of his practice is the inclusion of top-notch massage therapists like Valeria. She's been indispensable in my herniated disc recovery, helping me return to an active lifestyle. I can't say enough about her therapeutic hands. Valeria is incredibly skilled, in tune with every muscle, and has a lovely energy that makes each session positive. She even offers great rolling and stretching tips to support your progress. Dr. Max now treats my whole family, including my kids and elderly mother-in-law. I trust him, and Valeria, wholeheartedly with our care. If you're looking for a chiropractor who combines expertise with genuine compassion and a massage therapist who can truly heal, Dr. Max and Valeria are the ones to see.

Pain levels went from high 8s to low 1s and 2s (even 0 for some areas ) AND they took care of all the insurance people! Tissue Work (mini massage): Dr. Kimi found knots I didn't know I had and removed them. Dr. Sully did extra tissue work & scraping when my s/o needed it. The details were impeccable. Adjustments: Dr. Kimi and Dr. Sully explained the adjustment, the movement, and the expectations. We walked out feeling 10x better every time. Educational: Dr. Kimi & Dr. Sully taught us massages and stretches. An at home physical program was custom made for each of us. We learned how to aid one another to relieve everyday pain. Clean: Tools and benches were sanitized and wiped after each patient. Bathroom is also clean. Customer service: Each time I call they say "It's a beautiful day here at Movement Lab" because it literally is over there. Forever greeted with a smile We didn't know we needed this in our life until we came to Movement Lab Thank you, Movement Lab Chiropractic!

I just wanted to update my review with Dr. Sully and Dr. Kimi…read more I decreased my frequency to coming once a week as my last recovery from post car accident and now me sitting at my desk has not been so much. But I chose to still keep seeing them for maintenance work since I lift weights and run on the regular. There's been times in the months where I skip 2 weeks and can tell the difference in how much my body needed to get readjusted. Now training for a LA marathon I asked Dr. Kimi how often should l be coming in to be adjusted. She said once a week should be good enough. Whether I was seeing Dr. Kimi or Dr. Sully both with their own strong techniques, they were always on point with my adjustments. Now being an avid weight lifter who's trying to run about 20miles a week took a toll on me. 2-3weeks into my training, my legs, knees and left ankle felt off. They were painful and felt super inflamed. Just to be safe I went to see a kaiser doctor and the doctor told me to just give up on my weight training and running altogether. That lifting weights is just a fad as it's not worth adding more muscle to my body and it would make my knees worse. I was diagnosed with achilles tendinitis with my left foot, plantar fasciitis on both feet because I am mostly flat footed and osteoarthritis in the knees. I felt that my world was crushed and that I felt so stuck in what to do next other than take prescribed pain medications from kaiser. I felt wronged, sure the medication helped me... but I wanted a second opinion. When I got to see Dr. Sully, he assessed and reassured me that M.D.'s are good for prescribing medications based on what they know. From a chiropractor perspective, my muscles are just overworked and that I need to take the time to stretch, roll and as necessary decrease my load training. So he gave me some best practices with foam rolling and how to stretch with my quads and my shins. He guaranteed me that if I take the time to stretch and roll prior and post my workout it will so much a difference. I took this advice and maintained my appointments to coming in once a week. Two weeks with no running, I continued to lift weights, and added yoga and biking into the mix. Then finally I completed 20miles of running in one week alone with no pain whatsoever. So I want to take this moment to recognize the amazing advice and support I got from Dr. Sully and Dr. Kimi. They didn't give up on me and continue to tell me I am making amazing progress with my training and my weight loss. I learned the hard way, but stretching and foam rolling are as important as to running and lifting weights. Despite being told by friends and family to always stretch, these two doctors... especially Dr. Sully helped pushed me to stretch/roll longer for myself so I can continue to enjoy my running and weight lift training.

I found Dr. Asturias through Yelp and I'm so glad I did! He clearly has deep expertise in breaking down scar tissue to promote healing. Over the past 4-5 weeks, I've had 7-8 sessions with him. Each one starts with wrist adjustments and stretching, followed by Graston therapy to break up scar tissue and improve circulation, and ends with light therapy to accelerate healing. I won't lie--each session is painful (feels like torture at times!), but I see noticeable results within a day or two. When I first saw him, I couldn't even push press a 10lb dumbbell or squat because I couldn't bend my wrist back. Also, I was feeling immense pain at the base of the palm with any contact. After just a few sessions, I was pressing my pre-surgery weight and squatting again without pain. Dr. Asturias is incredibly skilled, thorough, and down to earth--super easy to talk to and makes the whole process efficient. Making appointments is a breeze--everything is done through their online portal, which makes it super easy to schedule or reschedule as needed. My wrist is almost fully recovered now, but I continue to go back because I keep seeing incremental gains after each visit. Highly recommend him if you're recovering from surgery or dealing with stubborn scar tissue!
