I was referred to Intero Chiropractic by a friend who highly recommended their work. My previous chiro moved out of state so I was in search for a few years now. Pre-Visit: Setting up the appointment was easy. Detailed questions to understand medical history and what my needs are. Charged me $40 as a down for the visit. The coordinator noted that I would get a full scope intake assessment: Xray, speak with a team member to discuss my needs, nerve assessment and more (not at all the full experience). I was very excited and very much looking forward to my appointment. Check in: Pleasanton location was easy to find with ample parking. Staff was friendly. Wait time post check in was 13 minutes as I sat with 1 other patient. After the wait they handed me 4 cards with bullet points of characteristics asking me to categorize each card based on importance to "match me" with the right care team. A few minutes after handing the cards I was called in to do my intake/assessment. Assessment/Xray: I was asked to detail my pain/needs. When ever I would explain the specific areas and the activities I'm currently doing the tech just kept talking about why it causes the pain. At one point I just wanted her to stop talking about such activities adding to the pain; I get it, that's why I'm here! The physical assessment came next and that was standard. Then they walked me to another room after another 10 or so minutes wait so I can get my xrays. I waited for Dr. Zak for another 10-15 minutes. Took Xrays and he showed me immediately after the lower portion of my back and hip bones misalignment. I was excited to see where the fix can come after noting it wouldn't be many sessions. But that was it he said I can change out of the robe and set up an appointment with my "case manager" to discuss next steps. WTF This was my next steps - there was no nerve assessment there was no Dr. exam there was no Chiro session! Front desk provided morning days/times for the next week. I told the front desk I would reach out to them if I decided to move forward which I will not be. I was charged $40 over the phone when I set up my appointment and then an additional $100 after my first assessment/xray visit. Completely disappointed. At best, I was seen for 30 minutes but was in office for 1 hour. Paid $140 only to be told to set up an appointment with a case manager?! I called the referrer and broke down the experience and they too were very surprised and understood my disappointment. Waited a few days to settle my thoughts before posting this and the feeling is still the same. Based on my experience, I would NOT recommend Intero Chiropractic. read more

I started my treatment here in September 2023. The case manager i spoke to made big promises re pain i was dealing with on my legs and charged me app. $10k. After couple chiropractic adjustment i started having severe back pain which got worse even when simply walking. I told the Dr (Zack i think) and he said it's normal in the beginning. But the pain never went away. In Feb 2024 i told him it's been a while and the pain is not getting better, then he tried a different adjustment. I felt some relief after this but the issue was anything would trigger the pain again e.g lifting a chair. My treatment ended in May 2024, the Dr told me case manager will discuss next steps with me. I explained all this to the case mgr how i had to endure pain for months. He said he would discuss internally and contact me within few days but never heard from him. I called them but no response. I have tried contacting them a few times with no success. I still deal with severe back pain. Basically they ruined my back. They also never gave me a second batch of supplements during my treatment even after inquiring multiple times. I did not think the supplements were helpful anyways so i stopped asking. This review is of course over due. It's ridiculous how they can do this after charging so much $$. Have some shame!!!! read more

I initially came to Intero to address my TMJ and somewhat constant tension headaches from my bad posture. Both of which I am happy to report have been addressed even before completion of my treatment plan. My jaw no longer clicks when I eat, I don't have daily headaches anymore and my posture has improved! Intero doesn't provide a short-term bandaid fix, rather they provide a comprehensive treatment plan. They have a very thorough evaluation process, which includes X-rays, mobility assessment and questionnaire to list all of your concerns. It is expensive and a time commitment, but totally worth it! Not only does your treatment plan include adjustments, but you also get equipment and "homework" - various stretches to continue to develop better habits. In addition, they provide info sessions to hopefully stop/minimize you from unintentionally doing more harm to your body. The check-in process is quick and seamless with a tablet to sign in. You get assigned a room and then input your info and how your feeling on a computer in the treatment room. The office and treatment rooms are clean and tidy. You get a clean, cloth gown at every visit. Appointments and rescheduling are super easy with an app. You get text message reminders too. Last, but not least, all of the staff is wonderful and friendly! Front desk staff, doctors who provide initial consultation and assessments and Dr. Zak - the chiropractor! Dr. Zak tells me exactly what he's doing before and during the adjustment and why, which always gave me confidence on the treatment. Ultimately, the treatments are effective. Dr. Zak at the Pleasanton office was professional and friendly, and he took the time to listen to all my questions and concerns each adjustment, which I really appreciated! During the initial consultation, Intero emphasized a lengthy presentation of various methods to allure potential patients, which made me skeptical. I began to question if their methods were truly medically validated or more of a sales tactic. Weight Scales: At Intero, they used two scales to measure the weight distribution between my left and right sides. Initially, there was a six-pound difference, which alarmed me--I even exclaimed, "No wonder I have so much pain!" I asked them to measure again, and this time, the difference was only around two pounds. I asked for another measurement, and it was just over one pound. This inconsistency led me to realize that the results depended on the scales' placement and where I positioned my feet, which made it seem more like a sales pitch than a reliable method. X-Ray: While an X-ray seemed like a more legitimate approach, I still felt it was primarily used as a sales method. Naturally, as people age, their pelvic alignment and spine position can shift, making it easy to emphasize supposed "imbalances" that are common in most people. During the consultation, I expressed my skepticism and asked if Intero guaranteed results. They assured me it would make a significant difference, and I would feel improvements after completing the treatments. Trusting this, I decided to give it a try. However, after months of treatment, I didn't feel any improvement. My tinnitus, neck pain, shoulder pain, pelvic pain, and other issues persisted. After each session, I felt sore, but that was the extent of it. Perhaps chiropractic treatment helps some people, but it made no difference for me. After several treatments, the front desk asked if I'd noticed any improvement. When I said no, they finally provided an exercise packet, which I thought was odd to receive only after months of treatment. When I first started, I was hopeful and even planned to share my success if it helped relieve my pain. I was so desperate for relief that I hired a nanny, drove an hour to and from appointments, and invested considerable time and effort into this treatment, but it ultimately didn't help at all. They of course refused to refund. Kept offering more treatments. After contacting them many many times, after several calls, they finally ONLY refunded remaining balance. Honestly, I was a little apprehensive about going to a chiropractor. Probably because the chiropractors I knew in the past just did hyped up massages and pops, but they weren't a Gonstead Chiropractor. So this past week I got to experience true world class treatment. I found out about Intero Chiro while scrolling on Instagram and I was curious. Made an appointment for a consultation and right off the bat, the staff was really nice and friendly. One thing I will note is that I was a little disappointed that there wasn't an adjustment after consultation. I went into it with no expectations because I've seen a handful of chiropractor in the past and it was all 'quick fixes' and never really solve my lower back issues from a car accident I was apart of in 2007. I was a little hesitant to go through with the process of pricing but I end deciding that I can't really put a price on my health. I pull the trigger and committed to a three month plan. I've been seeing Dr. Zak since October and it's been great. He's friendly, personal, and just overall a great joy to be around and he help fix my lower back issues that I've been having over the last decade. It's not 100% fix but it's definitely ALOT better than what it use to be prior to seeing him. We're slowly fixing everything so that my body can get back to at least what it was before. I have about 1.5 months left of my treatment and I am exciting to see all the improvements once we re-take an XRAY to compare. Definitely recommend if you're thinking about considering it. read more

I was having a lot of back issues like spasms and pain and occasionally my back would go "out" like I was Al Bundy. I'd gone through a few months of physiotherapy and was about to make an appointment with a back specialist when I decided to try Intero. I've been going to Intero Chiropractic for a few months and I feel like I'm in very capable hands. The front staff is very pleasant and always ready to accommodate any schedule when booking appointments. They have this great two way text messaging system where you can respond directly to appointment reminders if you have to make any changes. They do a very thorough intake assessment that includes an x-ray of your entire spine and are able to see any abnormalities in your alignment and are very ambitious in their course to address it. Rather than a quick adjustment, they want to get to the root of the problem and allow your body to heal and achieve optimum spinal health. Dr. Megan is my chiropractor and she's just amazing. She's so easy to talk to and she really listens (and she's hilarious). The great thing about the appointments is that you don't need to tell them about your pain or discomfort because they're able to tell by checking with this lovely little device for the "heat" of your inflammation as well as your disc mobility. But if you do bring up an issue, Dr. Megan can customize the adjustment to address it. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Megan - you'll have to meet her yourself. But I'm sure the other doctors are just as excellent. I'm not quite done my treatment yet but already I'm able to pick up and carry my kids in a way I never have been able to before. Megan has been my hero. She's fun to talk to, she has magic hands, and she talks to you like a human being, instead of using medical speak. I've never had back problems, but after my son was born, I found that lifting him overtime was really causing a lot of discomfort (He's in the 95th percentile for weight). Additionally, I sit at my desk all day, which is obviously not good for my neck or back. One of the biggest draws I had to Intero was that I received a full scan of my neck and back in my first appointment. After finishing my last appointment, I got to see another scan, which showed the various improvements that I received after my 10 weeks of treatments (that treatment number is based on how messed up you are). They are trying to help you so when I returned a week later, I was set up with a plan, and my first day I got adjusted which was great. So as of today 7/31/2023 I can say my posture has improved 1000% no more tech neck which was huge issue for me. They even gave me a at home kit as my sessions are coming to an end. A lot of thought and process went into writing this review. In September of 2022 I saw video feed about this place and using a different method called Gonstead. Went in to do a consultation and paid $$ for an X-ray and rescheduled. Came back and reviewed my results with the case manager. He advised that the doctors went over my results and advised my next was severely erect which was suppose to have a normal curve. Second my shoulders were off. This is where it starts feeling like a car dealership and weird. After reviewing everything they advised the doctors were confident in resolving my pain in the first package deal of 30 sum visits. I was kind of pessimistic and told him I would review with my wife since it was over $3000 even after a discount. Was super aggressive to close the deal same day. Even called me the next day with voicemails and using his personal number for updates. Told me to sign up now before they raise the cost that same day. Decided to give it a chance if they can work with my schedule. 1) Scheduling is super hard if you work full time. This type of scheduling ONLY works for someone who is working remotely, housewife/husband, or we'll off. How do you keep scheduling in the middle of the day when we have to come in 2-3 times a week for proper treatment? 2) When I met with the doctor they advised the never saw my x rays or reviewed my file! This is from 2 different chiropractors which supposedly reviewed my case. Was the case manager lying? What hurt even more is the chiropractor said my neck looks the best in the whole X-ray. I knew then the manager lied at this point. 3) After 3 months of sessions (twice a week) there is zero improvement. You can talk to Zach and all the front desk assistants. 4) There will be days even with scheduling you'll still be waiting for an hour. Summary: Don't ever pay for package deals (over $3000) Pay per visit and see if there is a difference. In the end I ended up getting a slight refund. I saw the original return which seemed fair and then they slashed it and said it was pro-rated based on current cost. Was really disappointed in the outcome. I've been going to Intero since October of 2022, when my lower back pain was making doing simple things difficult. Within a short time, I was feeling better. My 16 year old son somehow injured his back weight-lifting doing shoulder presses and exacerbated the injury by attempting to roll out on a spiky foam roller. He couldn't even MOVE. Here is a perspective from someone who was not a believer at all in Chiropractic care. I stumbled upon this clinic at a local city fair we were having and I had been struggling with severe sciatica for over 2 years. On this particular day I was in so much pain so figured I would give their pitch a listen. The person explaining their approach so was nice and non "sale-y". Continuing that great customer service after x rays decided to commit to their program. Dr. Zack was so thorough in his approach and explaining to me where we would be correcting based off of x rays. The x Ray was very comforting knowing they were using data to address what was wrong and causing the pain. My whole experience here from appointment reminders to being able to easily reschedule adjustments if needed was 10 out of 10. The best part after about 3 months I have no more pain. It's gone. I know there is still work to be done to completely fix these lower back issues but having the relief after 2 years is something you can't put a price tag on. Everyone is very friendly and considerate from the front desk staff to the doctors. The office is clean and welcoming. All of the chiropractors are knowledgeable and take their time to provide the care I've needed. I'm thankful for Intero. I started limping a few years ago and looked for help first from my doctor. The diagnosis was a hip imbalance, and the recommendation was physical therapy. I did exercises faithfully for several months with no improvement. Later I started going to a chiropractor near my house. He was friendly and was willing to crack anything from head to toe, but again I still saw no improvement. When I finally went to Intero and got a full spinal X-ray, they showed me that the limp and hip imbalance was caused by scoliosis. I first saw Intero as I was scrolling through Instagram. I was hopeful that this chiropractic office could fix my nagging neck pain. I made an appointment with the Pleasanton Office which for me is a 45-minute drive. I went to my appointment only to find out that it was only a consultation and X-rays for $150.00 This made me extremely disappointed because I was in need of an adjustment. I agreed to another appointment the following Monday but after reading a bunch of negative reviews I will not be attending that appointment. I am not the person to make $3200 off of because i do not have it to squander. I should've known better than to be fooled by social media but as I mentioned before I was hopeful. Dr. Zak is the best! If you're going to invest in your health I recommend Intero! I have had three prior chiropractors and not one of them compares to the unique care experience that Intero brings. I appreciate the individualized approach to ny care and get fully assessed to see what my health issues are. Dr. Zak is the most patient and kindness chiro I've had and he really knows what he's doing! There are times I've left prior chiro's offices not fully adjusted and my body later recognizes it. But coming into to get adjusted by Dr. Zak, I'm left with every adjustment full adjusted. "That's the rest of it!" Dr. Zak is a rockstar! Any questions I have, he answers to my understanding where I feel like my health concerns are taken seriously. The Pleasanton front office staff is also so welcoming and so kind. They are so helpful in navigating any questions you might have or need to schedule things around, they have been so patient and helpful! Well I was referred to Intero and I want to say their office is up to date really clean and the staff were all friendly and great. I gave a 1 star just because on my first visit I was never seen by a licensed professional. The very nice chiropractor assistant did my medical examination and assessment. She assessed what my problems may be. I did the X-rays and paid for the visit and was told to set up an appointment for the follow up. All the times I've gone to the doctors office or past chiropractors office I was always seen by the doctor or the provider doing the treatment or visit... I don't think I've ever gone to a doctors office and not be seen a doctor and just seen by the ancillary staff. Well they must be too busy... but not sure how they will do the follow up visit if no notes or any assessment was done by the doctor... This was just my experience but I'm sure they do great work... but I can't rate them high for their care when I received none from a doctor... ai believe the first visit is the important visit. So I gave them a star for their wonderful and kind staff. read more
