It's a really cute place, stone house, and inside looks nice. However the regular cappuccino was way too bitter. But some specialty drink look good and interesting.
Perfect coffee date with my daughter. I had been seeing tik tok videos of this coffee shop appear on my page and I k we instantly it was somewhere that I wanted to visit and they did NOT disappoint. My daughter and I had coffe drinks and bakes goods (banana pudding). The caramel latte is one of the best that I've had. There was plenty of free onsite parking, indoor and outdoor seating. The inside gave off very chill , calm and warm vibes. There was a kitchen providing food as well in addition to baked goods. Customer service was amazing!
Stopped by for some tea and wifi to finish up some work, this place is very cute. I loved how the tea was served almost three glasses worth! It's self seating and it can get packed so be prepared to wait to take your treats to go!
Hidden gem coffeeshop in Baltimore that is apparently a recommended spot from the Jonas Brothers when they tour! This spot is the cutest little cottage core coffeeshop in town with a full espresso and food menu. The staff was kind and patient with us ordering and they are dog friendly! As I was looking for a coffee cafe, I came across this one. Its not identified outside clearly; only an "A". The park is a little hectic and swinds up a hill area. If available, parking on the street is optional. There is outdoor seating as well as inside. Once entered I felt a quiet antique vibe. There's low light and light soothing upbeat calming music. The establishmnent isnt big but seemingly this late Saturday morning quite busy. After looking over the menu I chose The Green Apple (PA apple cider, matcha, lime) and the special Banana Walnut French toast bread pudding) with a price point totally $20.14. The Green Apple was absolutely taste bud happy. It had all the hits of each ingredient surprisely separated but mixed at the same time. THE SPECIAL Banana Walnut French toast bread pudding was also such warm tasty comfort food that was highly enjoyed. There is a bit of a wait for your order to go ;so if you are in a hurry, this may not be the quick spot to stop for a grab and go ordeal. I will say its worth the trip back. You will enjoy this choice.
Artifact Coffee is one of my favorite hidden gems -- cozy, rustic, and full of charm. The vibes are peaceful, the staff is always kind, and the coffee? Always smooth and perfectly brewed. Their bacon, egg & cheese on sourdough is a must-try, and the seasonal lattes never miss. Perfect spot for teleworking, brunch dates, or quiet mornings with a book.
O.M.G!!! I can't believe how much I loved artifact coffee. I went with the family after a day at the zoo. Just around the corner, this was the perfect place to get a lunch and a treat. The ham jam and fig town sandwiches were mind blowingly good. I got the Japanese ice coffee and it was so smooth and tasty. Even the cookies were gooey and tasted like mom made them. I have no notes. This place is the perfect coffee shop. Perfect!
My husband and I stopped in hoping for a good matcha and bakery item. We left exceedingly satisfied with all of our indulgence. The matcha was delicious, so was the gluten free muffin, the two sandwiches we tried. Service was good, you have to find your own seat, order at the register style. I recommend patience because their seating can be limited during their busy times But, totally worth the wait or you can order to go. A true cafe vibes, I loved the farmhouse/bohemian decor. I am itching for my next visit so I can take better pictures of the food!
** 9 year review update ** Artifact continues to be a soothing fav for me. I must admit I partake in the beverages exclusively these days. They're so good! Lately I've been in love w Afternoon Sun Tea. I prefer my cup hot. It's so refreshing and pure. Customer service toggles the fence as I feel I'm always happy to visit, but not as joyfully received. This place is in the perfect location of a calm neighborhood. It continues to have plenty of parking options. Although I haven't ordered food for awhile, I always stay abreast of their pleasantly changing menu. The menu changes to compliment the season. I love it! The food options, as well as beverage options change. Hmph, it just hit me that I've been supporting this business over 12 years. I remember when they had a punch card for beverages. The good old days!! My family hosted an event here !! I look forward to increased visits, and welcoming faces in the near future.
This was my second visit here and it was still so good! We got hot matcha lattes and a Members Only sandwich. The matcha is delicious not too sweet or too grass tasting. Reasonably priced matcha ($6). The sandwich was delicious but definitely overpriced for a basic sandwich ($16!). The inside is so pretty with the rocks. Such a great vibe for studying or working. Service is fine.

Artifact Coffee has quickly become one of my all-time favorite spots, and for good reason! Every visit reaffirms why I love this place so much. Their whipped iced latte is a must-try, it's light yet creamy! I'm equally obsessed with their Southern-style Ham Jam sandwich; the flavors are rich and comforting, and it's truly a standout item on their menu. Seriously don't skip it! The internet is reliable, which isnt something you always come by in cafes! I have worked here many times during remote days.The cozy rustic vibes create such a welcoming atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly, and their quick service ensures a pleasant experience every time. I've been here multiple times and have never been disappointed. I always recommend Artifact Coffee to everyone I know--if you haven't been, you're seriously missing out!
It's always nice to stop by Artifact coffee. A cafe located in Hampden, Artifact coffee serves delectable gourmet coffee as well as pastries and food. The interior is characterized by stone walls with a loft style design giving it that artisanal feel. There are chairs and tables throughout the shop and parking is plenty in the parking lot. Their pastries aren't bad either. I've always enjoyed their cookies. One of my go-to is their Lavender Latte. Perfectly blended with the right amount of lavender and sugar. I also tried their Basil-mint creamy espresso which was also great. You order at the cashier area and they bring out your drinks to you. Service was friendly and fast, so props to the staff. It may be out of way if you're in the heart of the city, but it is definitely worth a visit if you're ever in Hampden! read more
I visited here on a rainy Saturday and this was the perfect place to relax and drink some good coffee at. The parking lot was absolutely packed when we arrived, so we were worried we wouldn't find a table, but luckily one opened up for us right after ordering. I tried one of their lavender lattes and also ordered a turkey sandwich (which might have been on their seasonal menu?). After a few minutes, everything was brought out to our table. I really enjoyed my latte, since the lavender taste was very light, it was exactly what I wanted. However, I didn't really enjoy the turkey sandwich.. it was much smaller than I expected (especially given the price) and it just had a lot of random ingredients that didn't really go together in my opinion. Still, I really enjoyed my experience here and would love to try some of their other sandwiches or baked goods. This really is a great spot to relax and hang out at if that's what you're looking for. read more

The perfect neighborhood spot for a coffee + reading date! The coffee and drinks are amazing, and I love that the menu features seasonal delights! Their biscuit breakfast sandwich is so good, but this time we opted for some healthier options and got the yogurt bowl (with delicious granola, spiced apples and wildflower honey) and the oatmilk latte with honey. It's absolutely gorgeous inside, with stone walls and wood tables, it's giving rustic chic. The "sister" cafe to beloved Woodberry Tavern, the service is great and it is the perfect place to support local. A Baltimore fav for sure!!! read more
Super cute interior and outside location! Lots of space to meet and chatter on dates, meetings, etc. close to the transit, so it was a nice break waiting for the train. Got the recommended iced coffee (forgot the flavor) but it wasn't anything to write home about. Asked to ensure that they provided a bit more flavor for sweetness, and I don't know that I remember experiencing much flavor at all. read more

My fiancée and I came here on a Sunday afternoon. I personally haven't been back here in a very long time. It was nice to be back in this space. We ordered two pour overs 1 decaf, egg and cheddar on a biscuit, gf chicken salad sandwich and a beef stew. The food was good and delightful. The waitress working the floor was very attentive and cleared plates to create more space which we appreciated. We enjoyed our time here and I look forward to coming back. read more

I got the smoked Turkey sandwich and iced lattes. The mocha iced latte was not good, it was powdery and grainy. Unpleasant to drink. The caramel latte did not have much caramel flavor and was pretty bitter. The sandwich is overpriced but good tasting. The bread was so thin and fell apart easily and only about half the sandwich had cheese on it. Service was good. Lots of seating options. read more

The location of Artifact Coffee is cute and has a parking lot which is nice. My friend and I came on the earlier side on a Sunday morning and it was already buzzing. We both ordered lattes, breakfast sandwiches, and shared a pastry. Staff at the counter were really nice and we ordered quickly. They give you a number for your table and bring the food out to you. Food was really good- I loved the homemade biscuits! I feel like when you envision a biscuit breakfast sandwich you imagine smaller biscuits, but these biscuits were big! The staff was very attentive but kind of confusing. We had someone come to our table like 3 times to ask if we had received all our food while we still had a number on our table. Once, he tried to take it even though we were still waiting on food. It just came off as a little unorganized. Also, as soon as we were done eating a certain item the plate would be bussed away or we would be asked if we were finished even if we were still working on things. It made us feel a little rushed. Overall though, the food and atmosphere is great and I'll return. read more

Super cute cafe. Loved the homey and cozy vibes. The drinks and food are also delicious. I've gotten their cinnamon mocha and poncho & lefty which were both so satisfying. This is one of my favorite coffee and brunch places. I've also tried studying/doing work here but there's very limited space. There's only a small section against the wall in the back to work at. The sit down tables are reserved for dining in only. read more

This coffee shop has a great vibe! I love the brick decor, the servers seemed really nice, and the food looked good! I didn't buy any food or drinks here but I came here to sit and do some work on a Saturday and I found it a great place to work. There is some music playing and a good amount of people were there, but I didn't find it to be too loud or overwhelming. It was clean with plenty of free seating, and charging options at the large wooden table for laptops or phones. There is plenty of parking, both on the street and in their parking lot. The bathrooms were clean too. I can't wait to go back, and I definitely recommend you check them out! read more
A bit off the beaten path and located in Union mill/Woodbury neighborhood. Rustic interior with some outside seating. Saturday afternoon around 3 they were quiet but surprisingly they picked up as closing time approached at 4. Upbeat music was piping from the speakers. Oat Mocha with Jinji chocolate was tasty. Wasn't sure what to try but once I saw Mushroom Reuben....marinated mushrooms, sweet potatoes and Kimchi tangy take it over the top. A Veggie take on the classic that delivers! Also, got the Margherita Scone which was also unique , savory with a hint of tomato . Service was friendly & my numerous questions were answered with patience. In addition to the baked goods, saw a good variety of breakfast/lunch sandwiches (out of the ordinary veggie sammies), soups and salads. They are connected to the Woodberry Kitchen and similarly source from local Growers/Producers which is a nice touch. read more

Favorite coffee shop! My go-to spot for reading or remote work. Menu and drinks regularly change and you can't go wrong with any of the options. Love the music playing overhead too! Only complaint is that it's hard to find seating because it's SO busy - it's a popular spot. read more

I think Artifact Coffee is really cute. It feels sort of tucked away (although it could just be me being absent minded... I drove past it 2 times before actually figuring out where the parking lot was, and once I got there I felt stupid for having missed it). The coffee shop itself feels like a nice old house that your rich friend's family owns, with nice high ceilings and a little lawn/patio hopefully curated by a hot gardener. The stone on the inside is homey and I imagine they could throw some really cozy Christmas parties inside. The food is decent. I got "the green revolution jk" salad... not sure why it has a "jk" in it but I guess it adds to the mystery. The salad was tasty, albeit a little dry because it didn't have any dressing that I could appreciate, but still tasted good. My friend got the apple cheddar salad and liked it. The coffee is good too, although I'm no coffee connoisseur, it tasted good to me! Some people were sitting here on their laptops which was nice, and overall the ambiance was peaceful! Worth checking out for sure! read more

I love love love this place. As a habitual coffee drinker, this place is amazing. The parking lot stays full for a reason. There are many reasons Artifact is in my rotation of favorite coffee shops in Baltimore. The parking lot is huge. Sometimes, I have to park at the end and walk, which doesn't bother me but may be an issue for some. The staff is super friendly. When you come in, I recommend getting there early as the place is pretty cozy. Once you grab your table, you can head to the front and the staff will take your order from there. The selection is great. They also offer alcoholic options too which for me is awesome. The menu is not extensive, but the food is very very tasty. They also offer pretty healthy options which in my opinion gives them major brownie points. The only downside is the signal. I love to work from coffee shops from time to time just to have a change of scenery. Unfortunately, I am unable to do that here because I have no service. So if your not going to work, it's a great place for a good cup of coffee or tea and a healthy meal. read more
If you're in the Clipper Mill /Hampden area and craving a good coffee and solid breakfast & lunch food this is the place to go! Artifact has a really cool / hipster vibe inside. The service is always really quick and the servers are really helpful and attentive. This is feel good food. Whether you're in the mood for hearty sausage and gravy for breakfast or a solid chicken salad sandwich for lunch Artifact hits the spot every time. Decided to finally pay a visit to this coffee shop and I absolutely love the vibes! It's a spacious and yet somewhat hidden store with a variety of coffees, teas and pastries to chosen from. I ordered the Japanese iced coffee with cream (delicious) and the brunch bahn Mi. I was a bit disappointed in the bahn mi as I was hoping for somewhat of an acidic flavor but it was more on the "earthy side". Other than that, employees are very considerate and really do well in meeting Covid precaution standards! read more
Came here for a work meeting and I immediately found my new coffee shop home. The team is so friendly and they know their ingredients through and through! I got the Moroccan Spiced Iced Coffee and it's was the perfect amount of sweetness and light acidity. I forgot to order it with milk but it didn't even need it! I also ordered the Poncho & Lefty and omggg I could eat it everyday. The hot sauce they offer with it adds a nice kick and smokiness to the sandwich. Even the added cilantro is genius. read more

There's no place like Artifact Coffee, I'm in love with this place . Cozy interiors , buzzing with positive energy and the staff is the best!! I find it a perfect place for getting some work done or just to catching up with friends. They have good collection of freshly brewed coffee , specialty espresso and tea lattes and then I love their sandwiches. You have option of plant based milk too. Artifact Coffee is a great little coffeeshop. It's in an old mill, so the inside is gorgeous, but I think people really go to Artifact Coffee to sit outside. The outside seating is lovely. Their coffee is great, and they offer interesting seasonal specialties. Their food is also very good; they offer everything from toasted/griddled bread with butter and jam, breakfast bowls, salads, breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, and pastries. I recently had a breakfast sandwich - the spring fling: kale, pesto, egg, and mozzarella on griddled baguette (very good). It's in Hampden, but off the Avenue and off Falls Road a bit, so it's in Hampden but has parking!!! If you haven't been, you should go - it's a special coffeeshop in the neighborhood. read more

Artifact Coffee is a great place to get some work done and/or catch up with some friends! I found myself at Artifact for a working session with a few of my coworkers. We got there around 11 AM and didn't have any trouble finding a space for all of us to work. The space in the back is best for larger groups. A little tip: the table along the wall is lined with outlets! The coffee and food are both great. I opted for an oat milk latte and I vegan-ized their tofu bahn mi sandwich (not pictured) by removing the fish pepper mayo. Artifact also has a sparkling and still water filling station, so be sure to bring a water bottle! Parking is super easy and convenient here, which is a major plus! There are also tables outside in case you're interested in an outdoor working session. I definitely see myself coming back to Artifact soon. My husband and I hosted our rehearsal dinner Friday, 9/9 at Artifact Coffee and the evening could not have been more perfect. Communicating with Jolanta was seamless from the very beginning. She was quick to respond to questions and helped us personalize a menu based on what our tastes are and what our guests would enjoy, especially with several vegetarians in attendance. A few hours before, we dropped off some items to be used for setting up our dinner--some photos of us, place cards that also served as gifts for our guests, candles, flowers, and special champagne glasses for the bride and groom. That took only a few minutes and we were off for our rehearsal. When we arrived at the venue at 6:30pm, everything was set up so beautifully and perfectly. The venue itself is so rustic, cozy and quaint that it does not need much more decor, but the fact that we could bring our own flowers and candles not only cut down on costs, but helped make it more personal to us and our style. There is also plenty of parking which is a huge plus. The service staff is so kind and friendly! They immediately began pouring us champagne. When choosing our menu with Jolanta, we told her we only wanted to serve wine and beer to try and keep the night a bit more tame since we all had a big day Saturday. This was totally honored and easy to maintain. For the appetizers we chose the Cheese Board: local artisanal cheeses, seasonal fruit, house-made preserves, honey, house baked crackers, and sourdough toast, as well as the Sweet Potato, Lettuce-Wrapped, Honey Ginger Soy. The staff kept everything moving and helped us stay on schedule. We sat down for salad and bread, and they served the Grissini & whipped ricotta and the Green Salad, Seasonal Berries, Local Nuts, Herb Vinaigrette. For the main course, we chose two dishes that were served family style: Whole Roasted Chicken , garlic pan sauce and the Home made pasta, seasonal vegetables, white wine butter sauce. The sides were the Roasted Summer Vegetables with Rosemary & Garlic and the Salt Roasted Potatoes. Jolanta let us swap out certain veggies to ensure that we served what we preferred! For dessert, we did the sundae bar which came with a variety of toppings. All in all, the food was absolutely delicious. Honestly some of the best food I have ever had. So fresh and appealing. Everyone was raving about it, and definitely appreciated the family style option. Wine was constantly served and our glasses were never empty. I will be sure to recommend Artifact Coffee to all my friends/contacts in the area to host their special events! read more

My wife and I came here on a Saturday morning first thing, it was a great breakfast date. This place is charming, warm, and historic- definitely a vibe. We have come here once or twice before, but this trip in was the best by far. The customer service was on point while ordering and eating. I didn't even know there was seating inside since we visited previously during Covid. We sat in the corner and it was quite, relaxing, and had a good few of the courtyard. Plenty of parking in a lot that circles the building. I ordered coffee and a sandwich. The maple sugar syrup in an ice coffee is heavenly. They do other types of coffees/ drinks. I'm pretty simple. My breakfast sandwich will make me want to come back 1000 times (Ham Jam). Quality biscuit to hold all the fixings. The sweet pepper jam and salty ham were the perfect centerpiece for the egg, cheese and kale. It was also just the right amount of food to fill me. I can't wait to get back! read more

F this coffee shop (coming from a local, who appreciates great coffee and heavily supporting local restaurants/shops). Rumor has it they're called "Artifact" b/c by the time your order is ready, it has aged long enough to become an actual ancient artifact. Ordered pickup today (just x2 cold brews) around 8:50a for 9:30a pickup (being cognizant to order in advance on a Sunday through their website so I wouldn't have to wait). Arrived right at 9:30a and let the cashier know I was there, who acknowledged my order. Proceeded to stand in waiting area for 25+ minutes, watched many folks come in after + place new orders + receive before me... all the while staff saw me standing the whole time looking like an idiot! I never received my order... ended up just walking out (in the rain, to a 15 minute walk back home, coffee-less, w/ fiancée and x2 dogs... who, spoiler alert, were waiting outside in the rain the whole time). Yes, this is a very specific example... they probably lost/misplaced my order ticket. But it's really not the first time something like this has happened here while I've lived in Hampden and visited over 7+ years. This place's service and staff attitude just absolutely sucks. If you see someone standing in the waiting area directly in front of the front counter for 25+ minutes, just say something! It's not rocket science. I worked 10+ years in the restaurant industry and am truly speechless by the blind lack of awareness. Do yourself a favor: Unless you're going purely for the historic brick stone vibe just to show off some friends, hit up Common Ground or Good Neighbor - miles, miles better... never ever an order issue... always super pleasant staff... and just as good coffee (though Good Neighbor is your choice if you're looking for pour over). The only plus: Fiancée and x2 dogs DID have rain coats. P.S. I'm not the only one saying this... have plenty of LOCAL-RESTAURANT-LOVING friends in the neighborhood who have completely lost all hope in this place; I think most who still come here just find this place as a "cool, counter-culture" alternative to Starbucks w/ fresh pour overs ... or are purely coming for the WiFi... or think this is Coffee Woodberry Kitchen (Woodberry is fantastic, btw). read more

We each got iced coffees and he tried the polenta lunch bowl and I got the brunch banh mi sandwich- it came with choice of bread and staff recommended I stay with tradition baguette. It was perfect. We source our tea from a few sources! Most of our tea is from Bellocq, however our Masala Chai come from Passenger based out of Lancaster, PA and we source our herbal teas from multiple local farms. Recently our mint has been from Moon Valley Farm…
