Came here with friends to give it a try. We made a reservation through yelp and the staff was able to clear up a table for us even though we arrived pretty early. There were a few tables but the space wasn't that large. We ordered: -Belgian waffle ($8.99): two pretty small waffles with syrup drizzled on top and some fruits beside it. Very average (3/5) -classic croissant sandwich ($8.49): got it toasted. It has ham, cheese, spinach, and mayo. The first few bites were good but then it started tasting greasy. They put too much mayo. (3/5) -Armenian breakfast ($9.49): comes with eggs (you can choose how it's cooked), bread roll, sliced tomatoes, sliced cheese, puff pastry, arugula, and potatoes. Decent but the puff pastry was salty. Not very filling (3/5) -honey cake: large slice. It was too sweet after a few bites but you could really taste the honey. Overall, the food wasn't impressive. The prices were reasonable. Service was okay cause you order yourself at the counter. When serving our food, they held it out to us instead of placing it into the table. read more

We were visiting first time the place! Inside vibe is cool! Service is great. There is a request: put some pillows or cushions on green velvet chairs next to wall! The table level was not comfortable. Otherwise everything was good, I will recommend this place to my friends for sure - 100%. read more

We've had the fettuccine Alfredo, the stir fry (orange chicken), avocado smoothie, the Philly cheesesteak, chicken tenders and several other items on the lunch menu. Art Lunch - Thank you for So yummy Cinnabon and delicious gata - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Pasadena, California

Had a nice lunch at this new cafe in Old Town Pasadena with some very interesting and unique menu items. Their salads are super fresh and delicious, staff very friendly and eager, and the vibes are relaxed and chic in a great location. Walking in, we were immediately drawn to their numerous pastry and savory food cabinets with artfully made items - the food presentation here definitely puts the art in Art Lunch! Even their cinnamon rolls were voluptuous masterpieces! Their menu has a wide variety of standard and not-so-standard options. Art Lunch is the largest chain in Armenia with branches across Russia and Ukraine as well - so they have lots of interesting menu items that reflect the diverse cultures across those countries, as well as Americanized choices too - something for everyone. They've been around in the East since 2002, but this looks to be their first US based location and has been open for about a month. For our lunches, hubby and I both chose the salad & pie combo. Hubby got the Greek salad with chicken pie and I got the Caesar salad with beef pie. The salads were incredible!! All the veggies were super fresh and vivid in color with a great balance of flavorful dressings. Both of the pies had great flavor - but I had to knock off a star bc they're quite dry unfortunately. And they served them cold which was very strange to me - not sure if they meant to? The meat pies definitely would've been much better served as a hot dish. I would consider ordering them again bc, as I said, the flavor was excellent - I'd just be sure to ask for them warmed at least. The presentation of all their sweet pastries was so beautiful that we couldn't resist stocking up on some for our dessert over the weekend. We took home a couple of cupcakes, a blueberry/curd pastry, and a jalapeño cheese puff. They also have this strikingly unique, long, beautiful cake displayed next to the cash register that they sell in inches - so of course we had to grab a slice of that haha! I'm not sure what the name of that particular cake is but it has a light cream and raspberry jam inside and is topped with a crisp meringue and it's just fantastic- we loved it! The blueberry and curd pastry is also heavenly. Their cupcakes have been moist even over the past 2 days and they have a wonderful flavor - so far we tried the strawberry and cream cupcake and it was excellent. Their prices are a bit high on average, but that's not unusual for the Old Town Pasadena area. Their portions are normal on the lunches but their dessert pastries are quite large. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were all very welcoming and attentive - great service here. Old Town is a great area - Art Lunch has huge windows with views of the bustling area from all their tables - it's very clean inside and conducive to a relaxing meal. Parking is mostly in the garages around Old Town but there is limited street parking in the area too - and it's all very walkable. read more

Loved discovering this awesome cafe, we were looking for a coffee & brunch spot in Pasadena for my dad's birthday. One of the only places where the actual food looks even better than the photos and the photos are beautiful. We got a lemonade, a cappuccino and a matcha latte and everything was 10/10 . The service was beyond amazing , super friendly staff, clean environment ( seating is limited but there is a quick turnover) Highly recommend this cafe ! read more

This is a fairly new cafe Just on the outskirts of Old Town Pasadena. I really love the name and the clean decor. I went close to closing time and it was still quite busy. For me the stand out of what I tried was the Greek salad. I found it more flavorful than a lot of salads I have had in town. The lemony dressing tastes so fresh and flavorful. I also love that it had Spanish capers. I was amazed that with so many salty ingredients like feta, olives, capers, the salt balance was just right. The tomatoes and cucumbers are cut a little roughly and rustic. I would have liked slightly smaller pieces but at the end of the day the taste is there. read more

Came for a Pastries Too Good To Go order and I got a beef empanada, some kind of spinach pastry, and a sweet pastry with an Apple pie filling. The beef empanada was a bit dry, I think it'd be good if it was cooked in some kind of sauce. The spinach pastry was interesting. The apple pie filling thing was good, very cinnamony but in a good way. I didn't care for the breaded part outside but it was cool to try. I may come back to try their other menu items. read more

Great food and service! They have a great selection of sandwiches which are delicious. I highly recommend Art Lunch!

Art Lunch was such a great experience. The ambience is warm, inviting, and you can truly feel that it's family-owned in the best way. The hospitality was excellent, and you can tell the owner has built a team that makes guests feel genuinely welcomed. My family and I were even offered a dessert to try, and it absolutely melted in everyone's mouth. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for delicious food and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. Just make sure you get there before 4pm. read more

So delicious! Quick, friendly service and the sandwich and avocado salad were spot on. Don't skip the desserts!

Party of six super satisfied with pastries and coffee. I had the option of the vegan bowl or the wrap. The wrap was super fresh, crisp lettuce and veggies. The potato pies were gone as soon as they touched down on the tables. Other items were eggs Benedict and the Armenian breakfast. Coffee orders were correct and the staff were helpful and friendly with questions. Added to our list of quick breakfast spots read more

Overpriced and just not good gf desserts. This place used to be good when it was just a gf bakery, but the baked goods aren't the same level. The cupcakes sort of fall apart, have a gritty texture and are overly sweet with filling/frosting. They're so expensive and just didn't hit the mark. read more

Had a good time with a friend for a quick lunch during the weekend. Had the Greek Salad, Potato Pie, Chicken Pie (Ukraine Style), along with one of their lemonades and their lattes. Service was prompt and the food was good, ordered at the counter and got a decent table. The place is pretty homely and you can do a reservation if you want to, place has a brick with greens vibe. The cafe seems more catered to pickup but you can still stay and relax if you want to which is what we did. Actually witnessed an Asian Karen event while eating and the staff held their cool didn't smite her despite my own urges to do so. Based on that interaction, it seems it was a family operation and I respect the type of service they provided. read more

Must try their golden turmeric latte!! I always like it order it hot no matter what the weather is like. Very aromatic.

Friendly service, pretty cozy ambiance and the napoleon was delightful! Light and crisp. I shared it with my friend and we were both satisfied with the presentation and the taste. The oatmilk in my cappuccino wasn't my favorite, but I'm picky about that. Someone at the table next to us got the breakfast plate and it looked delicious. I'd be back.
