When I first heard of a big chain coming to patchogue I was pretty disappointed in the town for allowing it; I'm sure "new village" gets to charge them a ton in rent but why can't we diversify and support local... Anyway, I gave it a try, I heard great things, and I will say the menu is huge; from create your own cheese steaks and Stromboli, to wings and burgers, the do have it all. The problem is it's still just another crappy chain. I'm not going to sit here and tell you I didn't enjoy the boneless wings or the short shorts on our waitress but it's all so typical of fast food America. I'd go back and try a couple things. It I can't see myself liking much of it. They have a bunch of taps. It it's all sorta lack luster normal beer if you're into craft so I wouldn't suggest it unless you're more of a bud light drinker who's just starting to explore the craft world. If you want to get some buds together for game night then you will enjoy the massive TVs in every line of sight. The potato soup came highly recommended- mine had undercooked bacon but was super cheesy; Eh. My buddy devoured his tomato soup but I can't speak to how good or bad it was... I have a pretty good idea that I'd be a snob and push it away though. The crab pretzel is awful, don't get it, the pretzel itself wasn't great and the cheesy crab stuff on top tasted icky. The sampler platter came with pierogi, chicken wings, sliders, mozz sticks, and fries. They basically put the fries that are decent under everything else so they get soggy and less decent; They top them with a sorry excuse for a pierogi, dry as hell baby sliders, and a few boneless wings with whatever sauce you choose from their deceivingly small list of mostly varying buffalo sauces they claim to have won awards for. I'd like to go back to try some of the sauces to be honest; they've got ghost face killah sauce for extra and you can buy one wing to try it for two bucks a pop-- kinda cool actually I may try it and run over to the fire station one night. Mango jerk sounds incredible as does a couple others. The Korean BBQ was pretty good. Oh, and the sampler had mozz sticks too. They were good and fine but the marinara was trash. Unmmm. Yeah I have no need to go back other than maybe trying more wings and sandwiches I'm sure I'll be let down with. To drink: I suggest the Kirsch Gose by victory just because I enjoy it To eat: I'd stick to the boneless wings and move along. The menu is a huge trap. This is the spot to watch any game you could think of....here's why!!! Aroogas has the most TVs and almost all games on at all times. Here I have watched baseball, football, boxing, UFC and more! There are always drink specials and the menu is extensive. The food is ok, I have never had anything that blows me away. I lean toward the Pierogies as an app. And the wings with ghost pepper sauce are the spiciest I have ever had. My face turned bright red and I cried...it was great! The cons for Aroogas is since it is a chain, there are no buy backs, and higher franchise food prices. It's never exorbitant, but it isn't the best deal in town. I really like to come on Weds for game night, including Musingo! I will be back for some games and fun! read more

Went to Arooga's for wings and beer. Everything was delicious. What stood out the most during this visit was the service!!! Michelle was our server. We sat at a high top table in the bar area. It was 5 pm and the Giants were playing at 8:15 and it was packed already. But even though it was so busy, Michelle was super attentive, our drinks were never empty and she always checked on us. I'm not from the area, but I wish they'd open one in western Suffolk. The atmosphere is like most sports bars, not too different from a Buffalo Wild Wing, but they have a huge bar in the center. Their happy hour specials can't be beat and their beer selection is vast. I had their guiltless wings, and I'm still thinking how good they were. Disappointment. We walk in and there's a huge sign that says the bartender would seat us. I was with 5 tall people waiting to be seated, and she completely ignored us... like it was busy or something. We sat down, and I figured I'd get a salad - Dumbest idea I had all night. I've been to Arooga's plenty of times.... IN PA, and never here. I believe I had a cobb salad, but I don't remember ordering that inside water. The bowl at the bottom had water like they watched the lettuce and didn't care to dry it off. It was gross and unappetizing. I wasn't about to tell the waitress it was awful because I know how restaurant workers can be. Never again will I come back. There's so many more better restaurants on Main Street. read more

With over 100 draft beers to select from and multiple rooms for large parties. Arooga's has arrived big and Bad on Number 1 Main Street. My friend Mike and I counted over 60 flat screen TVs that we could see from our vantage point. On the Barstool. We estimated that were over 200 giant televisions here. They were all tuned to the same game, Dallas and Broncos. It was quite a sight seeing hundreds of televisions all with the same programing. The Big Arroga Bar opened up to include portions of the sidewalk in Patchogue. I couldn't believe this place was so big, it included the entire first floor of One Main Street. Does anyone remember shopping at Swezey's Department store that used to be here? Service was quick despite the big crowd. I was pleased I could get just about any beer I wanted on tap here. The only problem is that all the beer was served in the plastic cups. Which I REALLY dislike. I need to enjoy My beer in a very cold glass. Preferably frosted. It wasn't all that appealing in the plastic cup. So for me it didn't matter how many they had on tap. I was happy to see this new place come to the center of Patchogue after so many years of nothing here. My next visit I shall try some of the food and perhaps I will bring my own glass beer stein. I came here for takeout around 6:00 in the evening. I showed up early and enjoyed a Beer while waiting for my dinner. I was helped by Charlie, who seemed to be juggling three orders at the time, but was pleasant and attentive. Shortly after, I got my food and went home, to find all in order and everything tasty. I also got a growler to go, so I had a beer with the wonderful meal. Altogether, it was a great meal , excellent for takeout, I would recommend you try here. read more

Went to grab a beer after seeing a show down the block. Sat at the bar for nearly 20 minutes until a bartender acknowledged me and that was only cause a group of ladies walked in and sat near me. Finally get to put in for a beer, it's flat. Ordered onion rings which was basically fried Italian seasoned bread crumbs with very minimal onions. The place wasn't even that crowded. Lousy service. I could have gone to one of the many other Patchogue restaurants and been acknowledged quicker even with them being more crowded read more

As an appetizer we tried the mild traditional wings cooked extra crispy as well as some boneless wings and they're pretty decent. Their wagyu cheeseburger is pretty good especially with their burger sauce, I would recommend ordering a side of burger sauce to dip your fries in. The OG Chicken sandwich is also great! The chicken sandwich is definitely my go-to sandwich when ordering from Arooga's, I personally find it similar to the Popeyes chicken sandwich but it tastes fresher and served on a brioche roll with crispy dill pickles. Also, I have no idea where in their menu its listed, I think we just asked while ordering but they have an amazing beer cheese that goes amazing with fries. I did not have the opportunity to visit the establishment but had the pleasure of ordering via Uber eats. The food was acceptable. I ordered the grilled chicken wrap and the giant pretzel, which arrived in a small pizza box. The wrap was tasteful, but I felt the portion size could improve. The pretzel was massive and came with three sauces--fun to eat with a group of friends. Overall the food was good. The wing sauce is some of the best I've ever tasted but the wings...the wings are some of the SMALLEST I've ever had, two bites MAX. Also, I have a gluten intolerance and I have never had an issue here. Gluten free hamburger buns are what they are, not great (that's not aroogas fault), but I know that when I order from here I dont have to worry about having a reaction. My husband I went to Aroogas to watch the football game. Our overall experience was very good. Our server, Nattie, was excellent. Our food and drinks were very good. cost of our drinks and food was very reasonable as well. The manager was also very attentive to us, as well as the other patrons. The staff was very attentive to all of the customers and made sure that everybody had a view of the football games that they wanted to see. The restaurant was very clean and spacious. I really tried hard to like this place because I'm a big fan of sports bar but.. I just couldn't, and it was only because of the bartenders. I'm giving 3 stars because I've never dined in at a table so I can't speak about that experience but the bartenders just seemed uninterested in their jobs, and didn't pay much attention to the customers. There were fruit flies at the bar and everything seemed dirty. The bar itself had food and drinks spilled on it that no one bothered to clean up the whole hour I was there. I would rate Arooga's three and a half stars. We stopped in for a drink while bar hopping in Patchogue. They have a huge draft list; there might have been forty or so taps. Lots of macro options with some craft and local options as well. The bar counter is huge. It's one of the largest counters I've seen. As weird as it might sound I liked this unimpressive 2 star place. The bar was gross and a little dirty, but it's a sports bar. There were tons of T.V.s strangely though not tuned into the Mets or Yankees on a big game night for both of them. They turned them on when we asked. Still it was strange, the Japanese place down the street had on end of season baseball games, instead this place had preseason hockey from fly over states that no one was watching. The service was pretty good, very friendly and they knew their regulars well and treated new faces equally and GREAT beer selection that wasn't flat. The buffalo wings had a great flavor but one wing was gross and inedible. Better places don't serve wings like that. Then the burgers... They have this great burger menu that looked impressive that boasted some type of better beef. I got the pepper relish burger and my dad got the pretzel burger both with bacon. They have a strange way of ordering "red, pink, or no pink" We both ordered "red" The burgers took about 40 minutes to come out. That's ok we were watching the games. The patties were unusually small and burnt to death. So much for the "red" (we joked maybe they thought we said dead) The bacon was burnt too and tasteless. My dad said his pretzel roll was pretty gross, and he is not a picky eater. The pepper relish was actually very yummy and really saved my burger from being a complete disaster. "Arooga's" is the Disney of chain restaurants! It is large and has more than enough TV's to watch every Sunday game. But under all that glitz and glamor, I found some small chinks in its glimmering armour. I wanted to come here for awhile, but it never happened. Finally with the right planning I made a trip here to watch the Giants game. When you walk in you're greeted by a few hostess. They offered us any seat in the place because it was empty at the time. We sat down and our wonderful waitress, Kela, came over to greet us. She was on top of everything, it's just small things I needed to point out, that stripped this location of its five star status. But before I get into that I like to point out how beautiful the restaurant is. Nice tiled flooring, dark ceilings, and comfortable seating. They had great music playing while we waited for the game and a bar that stretched the length of the open area. Now back to the review of the food. We placed the order for some appetizers and they came out pretty quickly. We asked for condiments that normally come with buffalo chicken, blue cheese, and to our surprise, they explained, all condiments, other then ketchup, are extra and they charge a dollar for each. That's the kind of thing you expect from big chains, however we moved past it and did without. When the game started, that wonderful music they played was still playing. We asked if they put the game sound on and Kela went looking for the manager. Finally, five minutes in, he appeared and allowed sound for the game. Okay, fine, I was okay at that point. Next and finally issue was when we ordered our burgers, we both said medium. Long and behold, they came out well done. I was surprised they got that wrong when you enter it in a computer that appears in the kitchen, saying medium. The food and the waitstaff was amazing. Even the look of the place is remarkable. I would definitely come back to the place. They just have to tighten up on a few things. read more

I have never had an issue with my REAL ID. Being out of state- apparently my license was "fake" and they could not serve me. After looking at other reviews there have been other issues with claiming fake ids when they were real. I don't know what kind of scanner this restaurant is using, but I would not recommend trying to have a nice dinner with family and being unable to order a drink. This was ridiculous and the service was even worse. The waitress and manager were very rude and screaming at us. Do not go to this restaurant if you wish to have a nice meal. read more

Arooga's has 100 tv's. If you are into sports, this place is great. Every table has its own tv, besides the numerous ones you will find surrounding every corner of this establishment. The food was a bit mixed. We tried a bunch of apps, all of which seemed ok. Nothing spectacular. Which I kinda expected after seeing the 20 page menu. I do like all the options. But I also hate having all those options. Its overwhelming. The best thing we ate here was wings. I asked for well done, the waiter offered fried then baked, for extra crisp. They came out exactly how I like. We tried their general tso sauce which wasn't very good. Also buffalo, which was fine. For dinner I had to try that donut burger. My expectations were high given they promote the fact all their burgers are wagyu. I was not impressed. Everyone at the table agreed they would not order a burger here again. My wife tried the "build your own Stromboli". Went with the cheesesteak version and that was decent. The drink menu seemed pretty good too. I think they just need to offer some specials during games. At the least offer a deal certain apps or even a dollar or two off on liquor. read more

It was completely dead in there, yet it took about 15 minutes for a server to even greet us/take our drink order. Once we finally ordered, we discovered a cool music app that you can use to request the music played throughout the restaurant (this was the saving grace). I sent an email to the restaurant but I never heard back so I will just leave my feedback here. I dined in Arooga's for the second time on Sunday. The first time it was just me and my husband. This time, we brought our kids for lunch. Parents with children, be aware: whatever radio station they use does not bleep out the curses. That's fine for the evening but durning the day this is supposed to be a family type place, right? There were a few f bombs and a mention to crystal meth during our lunch (specifically in Green Day's Boulevard of Broken Dreams and 3rd Eye Blind's Semi Charmed Kinda Life) With my salad, I asked for a different type of dressing, balsamic instead of honey mustard, and got charged an extra 99 ¢ on my bill. I questioned it when correcting another error (I was charged $2.79 for each kid's meal soda when the price of the drink should have been included) and was told that yes, to substitute the dressing is an additional charge (maybe the server should have mentioned that when I was ordering) and that what I could do in the future is bring some dressing in my bag and use that. I double checked on the menu and it does not say anywhere that there is a charge for different dressing and I'm not going to argue about a dollar with my server, but seriously, because I want something other than honey mustard, I have to pay? Ridiculous. I am displeased. My husband and I both have "free wings" for a year so we were thinking to come weekly and get other items in addition to our wings but it's not even worth the annoyance. Also, the food is pretty flavorless so in addition to bringing your own salad dressing, tuck some seasoning in your bag. On a high note, my children were very pleased with the tablets that are provided and did not fight, argue, or complain during the meal. So for that, I have awarded two stars. read more

Great bar and atmosphere on Main Street in patchogue. I eat a vegan diet and knew they offered some dishes here before I went. I opened the menu and there is a section called plant based apps. Plant based is used very liberal here as in many items are vegetarian so to be fully vegan you either have to remove all the dairy or some items you cannot even have. The faux wings are dipped in egg before frying, the impossible nachos have to be no cheese and sour cream. I'm not sure about the fried yellow peppers. Overall good spot to catch a game, I just wish their vegan items were labeled and the vegan menu was expanded. read more

They were sliced thin and blended into the guac so we kept having this unpleasant spicy surprise. I ordered a smoked gouda chicken sandwich on a pretzel roll - it tasted really good but I didn't really have room to keep eating so I had to get it wrapped, with a side of mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was ok, it reminded me of Outback Steakhouse's mac and cheese where it's just a cheese sauce on top of pasta. But I'll take mediocre mac and cheese over no mac and cheese any day. My dad got the general tso's wrap - he loved it and said it was really juicy. Carol made her own flatbread and she seemed to like it as well.
