-wanted a remote starter -checked yelp for shops with best reviews -ended up in choosing between armando sounds and another shop which also have good reviews -went to each shop to get a price quote for exactly the same brand/model of remote starter -with armando sounds they offer me $580 installed out the door price and would take 3 to 3.5 hours to install and "NO NEED" to give up any of my precious car keys :) ,good customer service,knowledgeable about all their products, very patient in answering all questions, will not push you to buy but will suggest the best options if you need their advice -went to "THE OTHER SHOP" who keep saying they are the very first "viper dealer in chicago" -this "other shop" is pretty much the same with armando sounds customer service i can see that they are good and honest people as well, but this shop for the same brand/model of remote starter offered $650 installed, would take 6 hours to install and need to give up a key :( but again im glad they were honest maybe thats why they still have a business for a long time now, maybe its just that armado sounds are better with all kind of electronic installations but for sure for window tints i will consider this "other shop" because most of their good reviews are from customers who had their car window tints in their shop :) -obviously i went with armandos for my remote starter :) -on the day of the scheduled installation im worried coz i remember that the other shop said that its hard to bypass my car's system that i will really need to give up a key for the remote starter to work and funny thing while waiting i checked viper's official facebook page and tried to confirm if i needed to give up a key and i cant believe that viper in their facebook page said that indeed i really need to give up a key! :( so i was just waiting for muhammad or who ever working on my car to tell me "ooooops ahhhh mmmm sorry but it turns out you need to give up a key and buy another module for it to work " but a big fat NOOOOOOOO they did not! meaning they were able to install it and make it work they kept all their promises except for the time LOL! they finished it a lot faster earlier :) i therefore conclude that "ARMANDO SOUNDS" is the BEST IN CHICAGO!! read more

The transmitter for my Viper remote starter stopped working so I brought in a secondary one I purchased on E-Bay. Fantastic customer service. Went there about two years ago to get a remote start and they were able to do it from my pushbutton start car which I know is kind of difficult. They got it done really fast and what's better, this year I guess the codes linking up the remote start to the car needed to be redone because it just so happens like that every once in a while ( though this was the first time in two years it happened to us) I brought it in and he fixed it really fast no problems. 15 and we were done. Great customer service! My review is for their location on Belmont. Its a long overdue review, I got my car stereo installed in Jul 2013. Ok so I came in with my daughter and was nicely greeted. I was using an Install card I purchased off AMAZON, it allows you to purchase car stereo installation in increments (almost like a cell phone card), it refers you to installers and sets you up an appt (NOW I AM NOT endorsing this product. Actually, read on and you will see how this is probably not the best form of payment). After stating to him those details and confirming my appt, he politely gave me a disclaimer about how it may not cover everything if I am missing certain parts. Ok I was fine with that because I had used the install card (was trying to give it a second chance this time) on a previous car and had to pay a difference which I was NOT TOLD ahead of time by that car installation company. So I appreciated him telling me that. Anyway, I gave him a Pioneer car stereo system I had purchased from elsewhere. Then we sat while the installation process began. He came back twice and I was not surprise to hear I was missing parts, a harness as well as a radio antenna. I honestly had about $20 on me and he told me the cost to get them both was $40. Sure enough when I had it in my mind things were not gonna get done, he offered without any hesitation to install them both for NO CHARGE AT ALL!!! WOW!! Not even taking the money I said I had?? I left a very satisfied customer and not feeling uncomfortable or cheap for that matter (most salesman will make you feel like that). Got outside as they pulled my car up, he even opened my door for me and showed me all the cool things my radio does (remember I said I didn't even by the radio from them!) This is to good to be true! I wanted a remote starter installed in my new Acura MDX 2012 which i brought just one month ago. I was looking forward to add some advanced functions with the Viper 5704 Remote starter along with the GPS SmartStart Module VSM250, with iDatalink ADS-AL-CA bypass module. The functions I wanted on my Viper Remote start were 1. Comfort Closure feature, 2. Fuel Tank door pop-up, 3. Trunk release through viper remote, 4. Window/sunroof auto roll up when locking and arming the vehicle etc, 5. Window/moonroof roll down at will with the commands on the viper remote, 6. Proper integration with the tachometer and viper remote brain. 7. Adding arm and disarm feature to the factory OEM keyfob as well, etc. 8. Highly efficient Security Alarm system. 9. Shock Sensor for glass break.. etc. I had reserached around a lot, and read on various forums and boards on the internet that non/few of the installers in their city could add all these features successfully. I called most of the installers in Chicago, and even in Indiana and none of them had a clue of what i was even talking about, or talking greek. Few even completely brushed me off telling me it was not possible without adding extra modules and adding hundreds of dollars. However i was lucky to find Armando Sound in my city, and after talking to Muhammad i was pretty confident that he knows what i am talking about and he can make all this work for me, as he has done tons of such installs for geeks like me. :) Anyways after taking my car to his place, it was matter of minutes before he took my car in, and re-did the entire install for me. Yes re-did.. i will tell you you later in this post. He satisfied every single demand i made with the remote starter to work with. And now i have a car thats on artificial intelligence. Muhammed is very brilliant in what he does. He is like a scientist behind the wheels. Very good and a generous human being. Price was just perfect compared to all the half a$$'ed installers quoted for no-clue install. He did an extremely clean install, very professionally done, the vehicle looks untouched, no nicks, no scratches, no wires hanging around, everything is soldered and properly insulated and tucked away. Earlier i was budget concious and went to another installer in Roselle, IL... who has multiple five star ratings, anyways i think its all fake. He ripped my brand new 50,000 dollar car, and was so wild with it, cos he could not make the auto window roll up/down.. and left the entire work midway, saying he would re-try it again later, and attached the entire setup loosely on zip ties with various fittings dangling out with half the electrical connectors not attached at all. He litterally gave up on me after that, and a brand new car.. completely unprofessional, I guess this should not happen to anyone to their brand new car. Then come Muhammed from Armando sound my saviour, who came and salvaged my car, and did magic with it. I am happy that i met this installer and my car was in good hands. He added everything that i was looking for in my MDX, such as the Comfort Closure feature, gas door pop-up, trunk release through viper remote, window/sunroof auto roll up when locking and arming the vehicle etc, and window/moonroof roll down at will with the commands on the viper remote, proper integration with the tachometer and viper remote, adding arm and disarm feature to the factory OEM keyfob as well, etc. No extra modules such as KTP, or DEI windows module added. Nothing extra needed. Mind you, These features are extremely advanced that comes along with a remote starter, but none of the installer will try to educate you on all these, but if you have done your homework well, and your car supports these functions then ask Armando Sound is the place who can do all this for you. I found Armando's through yelp I wanted a car starter for my rav 4. I wanted a car starter that protects against grinding the engine if you accidentally turn the key once the car is remotely started. I called Armando's in the morning and they told me I could bring my car in that afternoon and that would it would take about 3 hours My appt was for 1pm. They started on my car right away. I waited in the store since I didn't have a ride home. The store only has 2 folding chairs but has a tv. Armando was very nice and offered me water several times. He was in the shop the whole time and greeted each person as they walked in the door I asked him about other types of starters which were more expensive. He did not try to upswell me or make me feel like my choice was not good enough. 3 hours later I got exactly what I wanted for less than I expected to initially pay. Purchased a remote start for my 2012 Odyssey in November '13. I came back a couple times because I messed up the settings on the remote and the guys at Armando sounds fixed it and were really nice about it. I can't say enough good things about this place. I have had terrible problems with my gremlin car alarm system and the alarm system recently made it sometimes impossible for my car to start without a bunch of steps and headaches. I called Armando because my car wouldn't start and the alarm wouldn't disengage. Armando walked me through all the steps and got my car started (something no one else could do). When I came in to have my alarm system disabled the guys in the shop took my car in right away, even though it was less than an hour before closing. Perfection. I was replacing the factory installed stereo in a VERY old Volvo. On my first trip there I was told what types and sizes of speakers to get ( no pushy sales tactics at all ) and iPod tuner would work best. I also got incredibly reasonable quotes. I called 2x after the visit to ask further questions about sizes and depths of speakers and was always helped and had all my questions answered. When I did go in to have all my items installed, I was treated very respectfully and was even to ask a few other questions I had. The space inside is incredibly clean and neat. So waiting for 4 speakers and the tuner was no biggie since the HUGE tv screen was on.
