If you are an emotionally sensative person, this is not the place for for you. If you are of Karen type, make sure to stay away. If you require a meticulously kept waiting area, stay away. If you have no patients with people, stay home. IF YOU WANT a GREAT DEAL on ALARMS with LIFE TIME GUARANTEES THIS IS THE PLACE. IF YOU WANT A GREAT DEAL ON AUDIO INSTALLTIONS, THIS PLACE IS PERFECT. The staff may not be the most articulate, but they are nice when you talk nice to them and don't act entitled. Have been there over 10 times for differant installs and they have been great. read more

While George, the owner was in the hospital, they had one of my cars for five weeks. When I got it back, I was charged for work that wasn't done was improperly done and then I was told George died. The new guy who took over , Chris Dixon and his girlfriend Donnie or Donna whatever her name is and Lisa the Polish girl that worked there told me they would take care of everything and now they permanently closed and they won't call me back and I 'm extremely angry. I'd like to hear some other experiences from people since I'm seeing they have a 2.3 star review. If anybody knows anything, can you please DM me and tell me your story so I can booster my case because I'm going to sue these people. read more

Andrew was awesome. Took care of my needs professionally and promptly. Will definitely recommend him to my friends.

I love this shop. The guys are cool. Please leave your installer a tip, its only right. I did. If you hear my sound system, you would understand why. They snapped. My system (2014 Tahoe) Rocks!!! The old man is a trip. I had them install 2 Skar 12s in a q-bomb box. 2 amps and crossover. Rockford frosgate 1500 for subs and average amp for highs. 4 kicker 6x9s and box for it. Badass JVC screen. Changed rear door speakers. Will be going back for additional batteries soon. Five stars! read more

After going to the big names such as Abt Electronics and Best Buy as well as the private businesses such as Armando Sound and Showtime Audio, I was left with a bill well over $700 for a 2 way paging alarm install with remote start and motion sensor for my car. This was about $300 over my price range. Low and behold, I returned to the trusted people at Mobile Audio and Alarm. They've been around for years and are very reputable. They've always advertised in the local papers and provide great service. With all the other places, they required a minimum of 5 hours for the install. This place had me in and out within 3. There is also a lifetime guarantee on the parts as well as the labor. Can't say the same for the other places. Though this place may not look as fancy as the other places I mentioned nor do they look as skilled, don't let that deceive you. They are as good as it gets when it comes to installing an alarm. read more

If I could leave 0 stars, that is the first thing I would do. I had an installation scheduled for today, January 30th at 8am. I show up, to get told by a completely rude, horrible representative at the desk that no installation was scheduled, and do not do installation for interlock devices on Saturdays. I called the third party for the devices, and they informed that the device was sent to the location during the week, and installation was scheduled for today. The absolute worst place to go too! George is the main person, and I want him responsible for the whole situation. I want to make a whole complaint towards the business, and I want them shut down, as you could tell by the other reviews this place is horrible at service. I will never come back here, and I hope whoever reads this, takes the advice and does not go here. read more

Highway robbery. Charged for services never rendered. Dropped the car off at 9am said would be ready in 3 hours, then ready when we will call you, then the tech had to leave early, then the part never came. Terrible communication, awful customer services. George does not wear a mask. read more

Since I have found this store over 20 years ago, I haven't gone anywhere else for my car alarm needs. They are the only ones offering life time guarantee. Can't beat that. I have had them fix my alarm a few times with no charge. Just remember to keep the receipt. They do great work. My jeep has had its alarm for over 15 years. It still works. They even sell stereo equipment for you car which they install! read more

Service was so bad I did not even buy anything I called in about some led head lights the lady said she had them I drive there and she only has 1 not only that but the one she has is all scratched and in horrible shape. I then go on to ask her about the adapters that go to the light for my car she shrugged her shoulders and said she dose no if she has them that she would have to call me back and I asked her about the other light she said she would have to call me back for that to what kind of place has missing lights from the box I just said you no what I rather order my things online worst customer service ever. read more

WORST BUSINESS EVER! A complete disaster! Went for tints, overcharged, wrong color. They scheduled a redo and when I arrived no one was there to do the work. Asked for a refund and he told me to "Have a good day!" I've never experienced such a mess of a business! read more

horrible place and terrible customer service, they answer very rude and reluctantly, I do not recommend for nothing that they go there. And besides everything they do not do their job well, I am sorry to come here. The worst place read more

I would give this shithole 0 stars if that was an option. Owner never around lady that works in the front has 0 people skills. This place is by far the worst rip off I've ever been to. I believe the only reason they're still in business is because somebody doesnt read the review before they go in and get the car alarm done . I can't imagine the return clientele is very high. P.S. All of Paul R's reviews are 5 stars..... just a coincidence? read more

Beware of these Cheaters... Capable of doing the worst, beyond your imagination. Had a 4 channel amp and 2 sets of speakers installed in my car. Did such a crappy job that I had never expected. After a while found out that my crossovers and tweeters were missing from my focal K2P set that gave them to install. Just used factory wiring instead of new wiring from amp. In other words he just kept it there so that I can see everything but never did the internal wiring and connected them. If I had my receipt will drag them to court. Went back to ask what they did to my car. Said he has to find receipt and been doing this for the last 3 months. Such a reckless buggers. Never go to these people, they are F- - - - - G Hardcore cheaters. Had fixed my car stereo at some other guy did an awesome job, I have spent few hours sitting in my car trying different music. read more

Nice people and good service. No thrills but you get a quality product installed by a knowledgeable crew.

Recently a friend of mine had her tires stolen off her car. The area was well lit but that doesn't seem to stop thieves anymore. Thank god insurance took care of it but it was decided to do more as far as security. After getting wheel lug nut locks (which are brilliant!!) from the dealership we thought it best to get an alarm too. They normally can cost a fortune but lucky for me I remembered a place by my old hood. Being a really nice guy I took her car there myself. Honestly I don't know what to say about the place. It's a little shady as far as looks and some clientele, but the techs do a get job and it's really affordable. The owner/ front office guy is a bit rough around the edges and might move back your car if you give him any crap. I personally didn't have any problems in the 5 hours I waited there but a few people got into arguments with the owner and a few "gang members" got into it with other "gang members" (I'm guessing on the "gang members"). It was all very excited. Bottom line is that they're cheap but do good work. Some tips... Get there as early as possible or you'll wait all day and keep your cool. read more

This place "Rocks" they know what they are doing here folks! I wanted to be able to listen to my iPod/iPhone in my Ford Explorer. I called Armando and Showtime and was quoted $375.00-$450.00 and 3-4 hours of my time. Walked into Mobile Auto & Alarm, and drove out with an accessory that did everything I wanted 1 hour later for $158.00. (WTF)! Awesome, the place is not a Place but I don't need that, all I want is the job done right for a fair price and here it is! read more

This is just an update. Mobile Audio & Alarm did not respond to the complaint I filed with the BBB. There is also an issue with their business name. BBB lists them under the name of Six Corners Mobile Audio & Alarm. The State of IL shows that Mobile Audio & Alarm, Inc. was dissolved in 1995! Are they registered under different name or operating illegally? It is getting more and more interesting. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! I brought two of my vehicles here and both of them had issues on what they have done. I would give this place negative stars if I could. For my newest vehicle I had HIDS (high definition headlights) installed onto my Sonata And they completely removed the system and created there own wiring system and long story short, my whole system fried and I have to pay for a brand new head light assembly. NEXT the remote start the installed messed up my starter due to how it was installed. Same issue with my previous vehicle as well!! They just take your money and don't care what they do to it!! Just save your car's life and don't take it here. read more

Mobile Audio & Alarm - The wiring job they did for my HIDS - Car Stereo Installation Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I took my car Nov. 2019 to get a remote start installed, everything was fine until I took it for a 2nd time prior to making an appointment with the lady which by the way is a nice person. When I got there I pulled toward the garage door and Paul came out without any manners screaming and yelling at me shouting "Lady you got to move your car!"etc., etc., I said to him that I had made an appointment and he shouted "I don't care with whom you made an appointment, you got park somewhere else! I said where do you want me to park? He shouted back "give me the keys, I will move it! he got into the car and starting pulling over to side. His behavior really angered me because I was nice to him until he pulled the keys out of my hand. At that moment I got loud at him and said "What kind of Customer Service is this? just because you are polish doesn't give you the right to yell at me, be nice to the ladies! and then he humbly replied.-I am. After that he took care of my remote issue in a very nice way. A month after the remote start started acting up it just wouldn't start and I couldn't lock the doors cause it would make the engine crank. Even though the remote is under warranty I didn't take the car back to him because of my prior bad experience. I was referred to another place by my mechanic and they found out a piece was missing on the original remote start. I ended paying $200 and I even got a screen remote start and a non screen spare one versus $234 paid at Mobile Audio for a key activated remote start. read more

in the last week It amazes me this place is still around. They patch things together for temporary fixes using parts they recover from.other installs and claim are new. The fine print about the lifetime warranty is only disclosed after you pay for the install... Mechanical actuators for door locks are not covered! Nor are the remotes, Or the components they used to make contact on my sliding door. They said only the module...You'll usually find the owner trying to figure out how to scrape off all the oxide that has formed on his antique remotes ( check the battery connectors in the remotes you received from this guy... Notice the razor blade scratches?) ... He installed my alarm into my car less than 2 years ago , today he tells me all that's an old alarm more than 10 years old and that the remotes are 90 dollars. Actuators are 85$ a door? Ebay sells a set with a new alarm for as little as 45 that covers 4 doors. This place is really expensive in the Long run.... Going.to stickwith best buy as I cant help but notice all the cars in here being fixed for.problems they created while installing.. Like a range rover whose fuel pump mmo longer works. The remotes are 25 on amazon he charges 90 because of programming... Thanks but I saw how to do it on You tube. read more

DO NOT go here! I don't care how cheap it is! I went in for an alarm on my car as soon as it was done I see all kinds of lights on my dash. Check power steering, abs, and vsa light on. Keep in mind my car has less than 20k miles on it n never had a light or a problem with it prior to then installing this alarm. Turns out they wired it wrong n burned out my abs module. Huge expenses! Huge nightmare! Run!!!!! read more

Run!! i got a 7inch radio installed here. after paying 575.00 the radio keeps resetting itself, all my settings are erased, put it on reverse and the camera doesn't connect. took the car back and supposely it was fixed (after a 3 hour wait), guess what happened the next day. NOTHING! took it back again, and they said they were short handed. Does this guy think gas is free?? read more

Very affordable prices, but some of the worst customer service ever. Expect an extra hour or two wait on top of whatever they tell you. The elderly man at the front desk, George, is super grumpy and only nice if you speak his native language. The woman is no help either, she just sits there and plays with her iPhone. They only update you on the status of your car if you ask them, otherwise they just walk past and ignore you. Bottom line, come here for decent prices but only if you have a whole day to kill. read more

First off, go somewhere else. I had an alarm put in and there was a problem, brought it back and they made a temporary correction. I brought it back again so we'll see what happens. The customer service is garbage and the guy who works behind the counter is rude. There are 5 dozen other places to choose from. How this place stays in business is beyond me. read more

I had a remote start put in her car one birthday many years ago. She liked it so much that she gave me one that Christmas. We've gotten new cars, & a remote start was the first accessory that we added. It's so nice to go out into a warm car, & if you can remember to leave the defrost on, you never have to scrape (chisel) ice off your windshield. Oh & by the way, mobile audio installed them for us. It became necessary to have an alarm put on my van, & took it back to Mobile Audio. They did a fine job, for a great price, however... "about an hour" was really closer to 3. That's the knock here. Don't go if you have anything else you'll need your car for that day. The waiting area is spartan, the chairs are upholstered in duck tape, & it always takes at least twice as long as advertised. Let them know you're not happy about that, & as one reviewer said, that gets you to the back of the line. Bottom line = quality products that are installed well for a great price but they are not considerate of your time. read more

Do not come here ... 1 star is more then this place deserves... the crippled guy is rude mean and inconsiderate...i see the same people always here first thing in the morning trying to get there alarms and remote starters fixed ... its freezing cold in here and seats are uncomfortable... i think there products are junk (alarms speakers amps) i was forced to come here for a smart start install and ive had to come back 3 times already because this crippled dude always fixes other peoples alarms and puts me to the last of the line, my guess would be because hes not making to much profit of the 89.99 monthly fee of the smart start ... i am so confused on how this guy even has buisness... i kno after my first alarm from him i promised myself i would never come back here. read more

I came here and got my alarm and remote start put in my car today and it has been the most wonderful and most professional experience I have had George is a great business man and he took care of me in a timely matter car was ready within 2 hrs and he called and was very professional and prompt I will be coming back for sure and will be recommending people here thank you for your work and I'm very happy with my system read more

Came in on Saturday to get a remote starter installed on my car. Dropped off my car at 10:30am and was told it would be 3 hours. At 2:30pm (4 hours later) I came back and was told it would still be an additional TWO HOURS! The owner and the lady at the front are the absolute rudest people I have ever dealt with in my entire life. I would never recommend this place to anyone. So far, the starter itself works fine but the crappy service and long wait time is not worth it. You can go to several other shops instead of this one and get treated a lot better. read more

I wish I can give them Zero stars. The Owner is a THIEF and his machines are liars and crooks. I bought LED lights for $170 and after 2 weeks they stopped working. Went back there and they said it was problem with the bulb and again charged me another $68 and did not do the repair. They charged me for something and did NOTHING. The new LED bulbs were never put on. They took my money, and I'm thinking they fixed it, but they never did anything. They are thieves!!! Don't Go to this place. I'm also planning on containing the BBB regarding this business. Consumers need to be protected from these undercover thieves. read more
