My window was busted on bday in downtown on friday night I submitted a quote online at like 11 p.m. they worte back that same night, I brought it in at 1 o'clock at the cut off... slightly passed actually and I recieved stellar customer service from one of the front desk technicians and I thought I would have to leave my car over night, but the front desk technician named "china" went above and beyond made some moves and squeezed me in when she didnt have to! I recently had my windscreen repaired at Aaron's Auto Glass, and while the repair itself seems satisfactory for now, the entire experience was incredibly frustrating due to their appalling customer service. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by a receptionist who was nothing short of indifferent. I asked a simple question about how the repair would be carried out, but rather than a helpful or informative response, I was met with visible disdain. Body language and facial expressions matter; I'm not expecting fake pleasantries, but a bit of professionalism and courtesy would have been appreciated. When another colleague joined the conversation, I enquired further about the calibration process, wanting to ensure the windscreen would function properly after the replacement. Instead of a clear and reassuring explanation, I was given a harsh and rushed reply. I was told that they "wouldn't be responsible for any glass damage" and that there was "no warranty on calibration." I'm not an expert in automobiles, but I felt like I was being made to feel like a nuisance for simply trying to understand the procedure. Things only got worse when I showed my digital medical licence in hopes of receiving a "First Responder" discount. The receptionist looked at it as though I was trying to pass off a fake. She then had the audacity to turn to her colleague and say "esta bien?" as if I weren't standing right there. Seriously, do you need two forms of proof for a legitimate medical licence? I am a healthcare professional who serves people at their most vulnerable, and I wasn't expecting to be treated with such disregard. Whether you're a server, cleaner, lawyer, or care provider, everyone deserves to be treated with respect. This entire interaction was unprofessional and uncomfortable. The final straw came when I politely asked if they would install the new wipers I had brought with me. I was told they wouldn't be responsible for any potential glass damage if they did so. I explained that worn-out wipers can damage the glass, and since I was providing the new ones, it would be a simple request. The response was blunt: "The warranty is only on the labour, not the glass." This excuse was beyond frustrating. Other glass companies always offer this service as a matter of course, new wipers are provided complimentary. Infact, I wasn't even asking them for new ones, I was the one providing the new wipers and merely asking them as a kind courtesy. The technician, who was overhearing the conversation, seemed to agree installing them but reiterated the same weak excuse about the warranty. By this point, I was almost ready to walk out, but since the crack in the windscreen was getting bigger, I decided to proceed with the repair. Again, I made a polite final request to the technician when I pulled in to their garage to drop the car off, and he kindly agreed to install the wipers. The next day, when I returned to collect my vehicle, I found the new wipers still in the back seat, untouched. Initially, I thought the technician might have installed them and put the old wipers in the box, but to my surprise, it wasn't even opened. I shrugged it off, thinking perhaps the technician had forgotten, and I would just do it myself. What followed was an agonising struggle to install the wipers, a hassle I'd rather not detail here. As far as the glass repair is concerned, it seems fine so far but I haven't tested the functioning nor checked thoroughly for air leaks. It has yet to rain heavily in the area so I shall wait and see. In short, the customer service was utterly disappointing! I understand that their rates are lower than others, but this sort of poor service is simply not worth the trouble. I'd rather pay a little extra elsewhere and be treated with basic decency. I won't be returning, and I cannot recommend Aaron's Auto Glass to anyone. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere that truly values its customers. read more

Scheduled an appointment over text to get window replaced the next day. $150 for a passenger front replacement window on my 2022 Hyundai. Safelite was trying to charge me $500. A bit of a zoo--but cheap. They've replaced a rear window in a minivan and just did the second chip in a car's front windshield. They told me neither chip would disappear--and neither did. I went online and requested a quote for a replacement windshield for my 2020 Subaru Outback. I was called back within 20 mins and the quote was better than any local quote. Sheena was pleasant and very helpful. I made an appointment and when I arrived I was immediately taken care of. To my surprise, Sheena took care of me and actually remembered talking to me earlier. She recommended that we not go with the calibration and wait to see if the windshield needed it. It is a revolving door and people are constantly filtering through for services ranging from chip repair to replacement. You get what you pay for, which is poor quality repairs and lack of follow through in addressing concerns and setting expectations. My windshield was cracked, so I called them on Monday for a Wednesday appointment, they got me in on Wednesday. Today, when I arrived, I told the front desk staff member, Jocey, that I was hearing-impaired, she was able to communicate with me in a very professional and polite manner. Many businesses, including medical offices, do not properly train their staff in dealing with the hearing-impaired, who are actually Americans with Disabilities, but here at Aaron Glass, they were very good. Yesterday in the afternoon I called to get a windshield replacement. She told me she was going to place the order and she scheduled me for 10 o'clock the next day. I drove an hour from my home to my appointment, but they didn't have my windshield at the location. So they expected me to leave my car from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm when it should only take an hour or two for installation. Replaced the back side window on my Honda Odyssey there. They broke plastic hooks for the curtain and put it back on glue... If you don't know how to detach them JUST GOOGLE IT!!!!! I'm not a professional but even I know how to do it, you have to pull the central peace of the hook first and then pull the hook! What's wrong with the service in Chicago? Ok, everyone makes mistakes, but there are TWO hooks, you broke one, why are you doing the same with the second one??? Even if you broke 2, don't make it worst by putting it back on glue! Amazing customer service! My rear view windshield scattered on New Year's Day and Aaron's Glass was able to fit me in for an appointment two days after the incident. They quoted me $125 for parts and labor (what a deal!!) when Safelite was going to charge me $450. What a rip off! As I unfortunately learned years ago, if you do not patch a small chip in your windshield, suddenly it becomes a crack, then cracks, and you end replacing the whole windshield. A body shop recommended Aaron Auto Glass, and Drive in (before 3pm), and depending the line, done in about 60 to 90 minutes. $65 to patch a small chip, patch slightly visible.
