Damages incurred to my vehicle while in the possession of this shop

Before I begin my review please note that this is A PLACE TO AVOID! I would give it 0 stars if that was possible. I dropped my car off at 9:00 am on Monday July 6th for replacement/installation of window motors for my 95 Ford Mustang. Max, one of the managers, recommended that I leave the car for a few hours as the job would take quite a while to complete. I was told that my vehicle would be done by the end of the day and I would receive a call when my car was ready. Around 4:30 pm, I decided to call the shop to check on the status of the job. First the receptionist told me that they didn't have a car of that make and model at the shop. Then she told me that my car was not done and they hadn't even started working on it! She gave me her "personal guarantee" that my car would be ready by 10:00 am the next morning. Tuesday morning came and went and still no phone call. I called again around noon and the same receptionist told me that my car was not done but assured me it would be done by 6 pm. I arrived at the shop at 6 pm and the car was not done. I was told to wait another 20 minutes. Instead I waited for almost an hour before I was told that my car was ready. I then paid for the job and received the keys to my car. Upon checking my vehicle I noticed that all of my windows were functioning properly except for the driver's side window. Max checked the window and told me that he needed to keep the vehicle ANOTHER DAY. He believed that the motor needed to be replaced. I checked my receipt and noticed that I paid for window motor replacement/installation for all four windows. I pointed this out to him and he said that they did not replace the motors (although he wrote on the receipt a few minutes prior that they had) but instead fixed the plastic pieces inside of the motors that controlled the gears. He said that motor replacement would be an additional $70 per side and he would get the part in the morning. I was confused because the receipt said one thing but here he was saying that I would incur additional charges for what I supposedly thought I paid for. I agreed to pick my vehicle up the next day. I was told that my vehicle would be done around 1 pm. I didn't receive my vehicle until 6 pm! No one called to inform me that my vehicle was done- I called yet again and was told that they finished the work hours before around 2 or 3 pm. I arrived at the shop with my boyfriend and asked Max to explain to me what was done exactly to my car. He told me that he did not buy another part- just fixed the plastic pieces. I tried to ask him why he needed my car for another business day but he waved me off. He kept repeating that the car was done and everything worked now. I asked that the receipt reflect what I paid for in case I had any problems with the motors in the future and again he was dismissive to my concerns. I did not receive an apology for the lack of communication or for the inconvenience of having my car for THREE DAYS. Instead I received a very dismissive wave of the hand. My boyfriend then stepped in and tried to explain my concerns. Max ignored him as well. We then walked out of the office and over to my vehicle which I noticed that the front of the vehicle was parked very close to the wall. Again, my boyfriend requested that I receive a new receipt written up with the work that I actually paid for or that my motors be replaced as the original receipt stated. Max walked away with another employee that walked over to join the conversation. The other manager, Juan, agreed to write up a new receipt and include a 90 day warranty. Upon returning to my boyfriend's car, we noticed one of his windows had been busted out! The same employee that decided to insert himself into the conversation was outside and told us (without us asking) that "you can check the cameras- a bum just walked up and hit the window and ran away". It was obvious that this guy had told someone to damage my boyfriend's car. Especially since no items were stolen from the vehicle. After leaving the shop I noticed that my front bumper incurred some damage. I took my car back to the shop and Juan denied that my car was moved at all during the entire three days it was there. He then said that the damage was already there when I brought the car in. My bumper did have a few scratches before I brought it in but it was nothing like this. This was worse(I've attached pictures ) I showed him the before and after pictures of my car. After reviewing the footage, both my brother and I saw the damage was there when I left on Wednesday evening. Juan denied it again but finally agreed to pay for the damage. Careless, unprofessional, uncommunicative, and poor customer service. Not to mention the ignorant act of breaking my boyfriend's window!

The little triangular "vent" window was smashed by robbers on the passenger side of my 95 Jeep Cherokee. I called a few places that had a lot of positive Yelp reviews (they will remain nameless), and got quotes for somewhere around $300. Yes these places provide "free" on site repair, and the glass was new (but you did have to wait at least a day for them to order it). I called Grand Auto Glass, and sure enough they had a used piece of glass that was the right fit, they could install it the same day first-come-first-serve, and they only charged me $50 installed!! They were really nice there, vacuumed out my whole car (all the little broken glass bits), and were just generally very knowledgeable. I also had trouble with another window of mine that wasn't opening properly. The gear in the raising mechanism was stripped. I had gotten quotes for the repair before from other places - the whole window-raising mechanism needed to be replaced - and the quotes were for about $400-$500. I asked them at Grand Auto Glass if this was something they could fix, seeing as it was not an "auto glass" issue - and they said sure - for $80!! WOW! They said they could get the part I need in one day...so I am headed back tomorrow. Thanks Grand Auto Glass - You ROCK!

Interior of the best side view mirror collection ever! Great set design. Could be a movie set for real.

Visited this auto body hidden treasure the day after Christmas. Well, yes, they were in a bad part of town, the part where they advertise 'wife beaters' as one marketing strategy at the storefront display level to attract customers or drive-bys for that matter! Interesting business model. Great Prices. My friend had to replace his front dashboard glass panel (an accident due to an attempt to replace the windshield wipers on his own and suffering a whiplash crack that materialized on Christmas Day). Ever so promptly and dependably, the folks at GRAND Auto Glass were ready to replace the Honda Odyssey caravan with no noticeable kinks. Their "while-you-wait service" guarantee lived up to par. We were out of there in no time after having waited just under 45 mins! Price was very competitive and service, set design (see side-view mirror wall galore picture), Mexico Musica believability and workmanship ethic brought Southern California sensibility all the way to the South side of Chicago for gusto realism. All the more, a customer or two happened to drop by while we were waiting for service. They had a familiar zip code stench of the real stuff, grass weed style, however we were able to strike a friendly conversation. It turns out the guy with the hoodie had an urgent need to gift himself tinted smokescreens cut to fit his new Xmas gift, a second hand black Jeep Liberty. Nice. Highly recommended for the mean street realism and great service.

very nice little shop! my suv was broken into while at the gym, and Grand got me in right away with a fair quote. when it was time to time my out the total was only half bc they had a used window to replace my broken one! i paid $65 instead of $140, and the service was prompt/courteous

Clear image of the curb rash on my tire & wheel.

If I could give this place a negative #, I would. I came here because someone vouched for this place. I took my tints here May 3rd, 2019. I was told the tints would be done in about 2-3 hours. But I was there for 4.5 hours. When the car was done, I examined it like any paying customer, & I noticed bubbles. But not small bubbles that would heal within a few days & heat. These were bubbles on two of my windows, that were at the edge, & big. I pointed it out to the stuff, but they insisted that it would be gone in a few days. I was no expert in tints, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt & one year later, the bubbles were still there. Ive never heard "damn where did you get your tints done at? You need to go back" so much in my entire life. Fast forward a year, I went back because they have lifetime warranty, & they would re-do it. First thing that was out of place was the fact that someone in the shop walked up to me & asked for my keys right away, didn't even ask what I wanted done, etc. he was literally about to get in my car & move it up before getting any type of information. I had to stop him & show him my receipt (for the lifetime warranty) & show him the two windows that were messed up. Secondly, he just said ok & nothing else. Didn't tell me to go check with the office, didn't asked if I was dropping it off or waiting, & didn't ask for a # to call for when it was finished. I walked into the office myself since I wanted to check & ask questions & get inside, the manager was sitting on the chair, & didn't greet me at all. I waited a few seconds, thinking maybe he was busy with something, but nothing. So I said hi, & made it known I was present, & still, no eye contact or asking to see my receipt. I told him I had an appointment at 12 pm (they don't care about those FYI, it's first come first serve) & I gave him my # to call when it was done. I was told they'd be done in about an hour, which they were. I came back within 30 mins of the phone call, & my car was parked on the street. I went to check on my car, & I notice my wheels have been curb rashed. I go back into the shop & ask for the employee who drove my car out, because clearly they damaged my wheels. Sure enough, it was the manager. He walked to my car with me & was confident he wasn't the one who curved it, which is funny because it wasn't damaged before I dropped it off. I argued with him while he kept telling me it wasn't him, that he had pulled the car in, didn't have to parallel park, etc (as if pulling it in means he didn't curb them). There was no way he'd ever admit it, & he slowly walked away to talk to another client as if he wasn't responsible for anything. I left before I started an argument I wouldn't be fond over. He didn't know my car has a dash cam, so I get home & I check it. Sure enough, there's clear evidence that he picked up a call while driving my car, curbed my wheel on the sidewalk, MULTIPLE TIMES. I will never ever go back here again & I will tell everyone this place is business is unprofessional, rude, & irresponsible.

I went to repair a ding in my windshield. They did an okay job. Not remarkable. Not great. Just okay. $50 is a fair price I guess.
