Paul is the best in the business. I have been wanting get my Jeep Compass front windows tinted since I bought it. So I called Gold Window Tint on a whim to schedule an appointment whenever their next availability was. Paul said if I was free I could bring my Jeep over ASAP and it should only take 30 minutes. I drove right over, Paul had it done in 20! Quality ceramic tints to keep the interior a comfortable temperature in these brutal Chicago summers. They are an EXACT match for the factory rear tints. I couldn't be happier! Thanks again Paul! Gold Window Tint 10/10! read more

Great service. Did well matching tint already installed. Great cuts for the windows. I will definitely come back with my next car.

I've been here twice and both times was fast, friendly, and reasonably priced. Thanks!

It's been over 2 years and my tints have held up great. No bubbles at all. The quality of the work still stands and it was definitely worth the price. read more

Competitive pricing, easy to call and get scheduled. Paul did a great job on my Tacoma and much quicker than previous cars I've had done elsewhere. Highly recommend if you want a no hassle, professional tinting job. Thanks again! read more

I'd been meaning to get my front windows tinted for a while. I was able to get in same day with an appointment and just had to wait long enough for the car completed in front of me to back out. The store front is hard to miss though and I did have to circle around. It's a cash only establishment. I'm so thankful to have tinted windows now! My car and skin had been burning up. Now I'm a bit cooler. read more

This place is cool. After making an appointment, I was a bit skeptical at arrival because there was no sign for Window Tint at the location. However, the end result looked excellent. I got my windows tinted a year ago and they have been great so far. No peeling or flaws. read more

Very quick and professional tinting. He talked me through the different options, I originally wanted a dyed film, but ended up going Carbon. I will likely be returning to get my windshield done as well. read more

They are awesome. I moved to AZ where it is hell on earth and wanted a tint done before I left and he mentioned that there is a bit better of a tint for that level, and it has made a huge difference. Would 100% recommend them the prices are a great value compared to other places. Make sure to let them know of those kind of details so they can better assist you. read more

I don't know much about tints other than I knew I wanted them (within legal limit of 35%). I messaged Mr. Yoon on Yelp requesting a quote and his response was prompt and straightforward. I called him the next day to request an appointment and he was able to squeeze me in. During our phone call, I asked him to quote me how much it would be to get the top 6 inches of my windshield tinted. Mr. Yoon said it would be $40 extra but he advised against it and said it wouldn't look nice. As a female that is wary of being taken advantage of when visiting car shops, I very much appreciated his honest feedback in this regard. After you get your windows tinted, you can't roll down your windows for 5 days. I forgot and almost rolled them down after driving away only to see that he locked the windows, which shows how detailed he is! Overall the tints and service far exceeded my expectations. read more

I bought a new car and wanted to get my windows tinted, I wasn't sure where I would go given it's "corona times." I called on memorial day 5/25 to inquire about service hoping the owner would get back to me later in the week. I didn't expect any place to be open. Paul the owner answered and was super awesome!! Even though his shop was closed he drove from Schaumburg to do my car! I am so grateful and appreciative for Paul's service and accommodating me last minute & on a holiday. He did an amazing job. It took 2.5 hours and it looks amaZing. He also gave me a lifetime warranty. If you're looking to get your windows tinted by a professional- call Paul now!!!! read more

I was talking to one of the agent on the phone so I asked how much would he tent my front windshield 5% two front windows and the two at the back without the Big window at the back this guy tried to charge me $450 for just four windows. Had my two front windows tinted on my SUV and was in and out. You can tell this guy is a pro so for a simple job like mine it was nothing for him to finish it to perfection. It looks a bit dated on the outside, but don't worry he takes care of high end cars all the time read more

One of the best assets of this place was that Mr. Yoon was very hospitable and nice to me! I set up an appointment with him through email but apparently he forgot to put me down and told me he was very sorry and was very apologetic. He told me to come back next week and offered me a $20 discount off the total price. I came back the next week but this time it was from DeKalb (~70mile commute) and he took my car in and started working right away. Overall it took around two hours and he was nice enough to give me another discount on top of the $20 discount he gave me the week before because of my long commute. I told him he was a very nice man and he thanked me and told me that his customer's satisfaction was his #1 concern. What a great man! The tint job was pretty good as well, he told me what I needed to know about the tint but the only thing i'd comment on is that it was a little dirty after he was done with everything. I'm not sure if its always supposed to be like that but it's nothing that I can't fix. Got my side and rear windows tinted to the legal limit @ 35%. Great place to tint you car! Just make sure you confirm with him on your appointment time. read more

I had a couple hours to kill Last week and had recently purchased a new car with intention of having the windows tinted. I had at that time a couple months ago pulled yelp reviews of tint shops and they were highly rated and happened to be very close to where I was and with no appointment I was out of there in 45 minutes car looks great amazing difference great price great work fast amazing service Thank you Yelp for recommending Gold Auto Tint read more

Mr. Yoon did an amazing job tinting my rear/back windows today. I brought my daughters with (4 year old and 6 month old) and was in and out in one hour. It was so fast my little one didn't fuss. I highly recommend him. He's professional, sweet, and he gives you a affordable price compared to other places. My tints look really nice! I love them! Thank you Mr. Yoon. Mr. Yoon is awesome! He is very particular and does a very detailed job as you would want someone to be doing your windows. I've had him do my Audi A6 windows (40% all the way around minus the front windshield) for about $300. That was 5 windows. Recently had him match the factory rear window tint on my Explorer. He tinted the front driver & passenger window for $80 and it looks great. read more

Satisfied. My Acura MDX came with tints on the rear/back windows, so was looking to get the front-side windows done to match. Over the phone, Paul Yoon told me he has 40 tint shades and would be able to match whatever I had without a problem. So I made the appointment and went in the next day. I pull into the garage and Paul measures my rear tints with his meter, and he says that he CANNOT match what I already have. I'm disappointed... but I tell him to go with whatever he thinks will offer the closest match. It's not ideal, but he was quick and did a good job applying the film. Minus 1 star. I pull out my credit card to pay the $80 for 2 windows, and Paul says he doesn't accept plastic. It's 2016, Paul. I don't expect you to have Apple Pay, but come on... lol Minus a second star for the inconvenience of having to look for an ATM and pay $5 in withdrawal fees. read more

Gold Window Tint - Got the front-side windows done to match what the car came with. It doesn't match perfectly, but it was as close as Paul said he could get. - Car Window Tinting Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I've been getting all my cars tinted with Mr. Yoon for a while. From my Honda's BMWs to Nissan's. He always has good advice on how to tint the back compared to the front. The work is always done in a professional timely matter and the price is unbeatable. It's been over 6 years for some of my cars and the tint still looks brand new, no peeling bubbling or color change. You can really tell the quality is top notch! Can't complain there. Friendly guy, he actually told me he has over 25 years experience, if youve ever heard of M&K he came from there years ago and branched off! Regardless keep up the great work my cars look great!! Ok here it goes... Made an appointment for window tint on my 2012 Volvo S60 that I just purchased a few days ago with 1 mile on it. The appointment was for 12:30PM, and wasn't spoken to by anyone in the shop for 35 minutes. Finally, Mr. Yoon greats me and informs me it's going to be another 10 minutes until he can get to my car... Ok fine, I can live with the timing...you get the same service at the dentist. He tells me come back in 1 1/2 hours and the car will be done. So I went down the street, got some food, read a little and came back. Car still not done, in fact I sat another 1 1/2 hours, which was fine. I figured they are doing quality work and it is worth the wait. I took delivery of the car and the entire inside (leather) was splashed with water marks and whatever else gunk they use for the tint process. Thank god everything wiped off the leather ok with some Armor All. Now this is where I start to get pissed. 1. I noticed that there are a few small punctures in the leather door panel obviously due to some sort of blunt object, force, the dudes belt or watch, I don't know...or care. Either way, the door panel is ruined. 2. The front doors have small, flush-mount tweeters wrapped in leather that are separate from the door panel. They are attached to the car door by trim fasteners that can be removed. Well, I noticed once I got home that they were very loose, almost hanging on by a thread. I proceeded to pop off the tweeter(s) and sure enough the clips were broken because the installer did not know how to remove them or did not due so carefully. Pissed. -I went to Volvo and asked if they had some extra clips for the tweeters and explained the situation. I was informed that those specific clips only come with new tweeters and are not sold separately. Pissed. I have yet to contact Gold Window Tint / Mr. Yoon because I was busy at work all day and want to talk in person, not over the phone. I will be glad to revise my review just as soon as this issue is resolved. If it is not I will take further action. On a positive note, the tint is actually starting to look ok now that the bubbles, haze, etc are fading. read more

These guys did a tremendous job on my '96 Lexus last week, it's got a huge, curved rear window and Mr. Yoon knocked it out like a true professional. No frills shop, they do what they do and they do it well. Highly recommended. read more

This place is a bit overrated. The result of tinting 2012 Kia Optima were lines in the tint (from irregularities in the tint film), scratches from the sharp tool used to smooth out the air bubbles and the inability to tint over the back windshield brake light. Of all these things the last one bothers me the most. I have seen Optimas out there with a fully tinted back windshield. Mr. Yoon said that removing the plastic housing around brake light would be too complicated so he ended up cutting a hole and tinted around it instead. And to make matters worse, the hole he cut was not even symmetric, more of a trapezoid shape. Mr. Yoon is a very nice and courteous fellow to deal with but the quality of his work is not up to par. Fortunately, he was willing to redo the windows that had problems but it ended up being a very long day. A few tips if you do end up going here: 1. Ask if he's done your type of car before (because of my back windshield issue) 2. Do a thorough inspection of all the windows before you leave 3. Payment is expected in cash read more

Mr. Yoon, did my tints today Jan 31, 2012 and what a great job he did, very easy to work with and very nice about explaining the warranty on his job. Great pricing too and for me it was a done deal to choose him. The work was done quickly and very professionally, also said that if anytime it bubbles he would fix it free. I would highly recommend to give this location a try. THANK YOU!! read more

Mr. Yoon IS DAT DUDE! I emailed him via his website about a week and a half prior to set the appointment. My appt. was for Noon on April 18th. I was running late so I called him to let him know I would be 10 min late, he was totally cool with it. I got there at 12:10 pm and he was very welcoming and accommodating. He explained what the process will entail. He showed me some sample tints to get an idea of how dark it'll be. And he said it will be about a 2.5 hour job and he wasn't lying. I was driving off the lot at 2:30 pm. He let me know upfront that he only accepts cash, so I had more than enough time to hit up chase down the street. OH...the tints you ask? Freaking AMAZING! I was happier than Augustus Gloop walking into Willy Wonkas Chocolate Factory. :D read more

I got my windows tinted about a month ago and wanted to wait to review and see how it held up. I have to say I am happy with how it turned out. It looks amazing. Price is very reasonable, basically the going rate for the service (I price shopped for a but before going here). I forgot to get a receipt, or maybe he doesn't offer one, that is the only thing I would change. Also must say, I have a dog and if you take your car in do yourself and Mr Yoon a favor and vacuum it real good first, it will make the process go faster. I am very appreciative that he took the care to make sure no dog hair got between the tint and window. It was something I didn't even consider beforehand. read more

UPDATED REVIEW: Some very small bubbles have started forming around the windows. The bubbles aren't that big and are not easily noticeable. I'll monitor to make sure they don't get bigger. I guess it's important to keep the receipt in case you need to go back. ORIGINAL REVIEW: These guys did an awesome job on my tints. No bubbles anywhere and it also looks like they use very good film. I called to make an appointment and Yoon was waiting for me when I got there. The car was done promptly.
