Longer story: I bought a 4 floor townhome, and noticed last year how hot the sun made the kids bedrooms on 4th floor so much warmer and the temperature difference between their rooms based on where the sun was made managing temps hard as one will be hotter if sun was east and other when on the west. Fast forward to winter, I began researching companies to use for tinting, I stumbled upon bryan's company through google and yelp, great reviews so we began our communication. He sent samples quickly. I finally decided to give it a try, however COVID hit, and installations were put on a hold. Byran was in constant communication, and when it was time for reopening, we quickly booked a date. He came with another worker, social distanced, wore mask. They did amazing work, answered my questions, and the tints look wonderful. Its been about a month, my view still looks good, but most importantly the temperature is about 5-10 degree cooler and there is no huge variability between the rooms based on the sun. No longer does it feel so dreadful upstairs while 3rd floor is so cold. Another huge plus on tints was it dimmed the rooms significantly, especially for the kids nap-time , even with black out curtains, we wanted the room darker. We went 25% in the room with shared patio for privacy, also makes it very hard to see through the window. overall, super happy and I highly recommend precision window. I have been telling people at the park and my neighbors about them especially with multilevel homes in South loop.

Mike and Jeff were the only outfit that was willing to make the trip up to get this done. It's bad, folks. Even Yelp doesn't recommend hardly any Milwaukee companies because they frankly don't want the business. They want to make friends. And they're sensitive. It's infuriating. Because as long as I get what I want and the service is upper level, I'm perfectly willing to pay...but I want what I want. With Excel, that's what you get. Mike was clear: if he comes up, he has to charge for the trip. And that's fine. Transparency is key. It's not a problem as long as you're upfront about it. Upon arrival he had options ready to choose from, and I'm not new to tinting overall, but I wanted a specific look both in and out. Both of the sample cards looked really nice, but the Llumar seemed better suited for the future exterior appearance. Didn't take too long before I had all windows fully tinted (see photos) and they cleaned up 99.9% of what was left (just a bit of water, no big deal). I advised them, once I can find a non-sensitive vendor to replace the rest of the windows I'd be more than delighted to have them back to tint those with the same Llumar. It was refreshing to work with a company that actually WANTS business and is willing to do quality work after so many frustrating encounters with Wisconsin companies. Meanwhile...just some notes. I can't stress enough: reflective film completely changes the look of the windows. Even high-end windows don't look 100% if they don't have reflective. You do need to be mindful about how it changes interior lighting, and plan accordingly. Some people are a bit shell-shocked at the decrease in natural light; that's the tradeoff for privacy (which was my primary goal). At night, you still get a measure of privacy, because unless you've got full-blast lighting inside and white walls, it's dim looking in and you can't really make out full details. So you can even control nighttime privacy by going with more earthy colors on the walls so that light refraction is minimized. Drapes are when you want to maximize privacy, obviously. But now you only need to draw them at night vs. using them to block natural light.

My house felt like it was a greenhouse and the blinds were always closed to keep the sun down to a minimum.
