I had an appt scheduled and the glad I left early to get an call from TC that they had early time to get me in. I had scheduled the windshield tint on my tesla app which I paid for the service thru them and I told the person at the counter, which he tried to bill me additional to tesla. After the work is done which was 45 min. I received no warranty info on the work. He gave me my keys and no paperwork at all. I find that very odd. The work itself is great. The front office was a bit weird for me. Would I come back for other work. I am not sure. read more

I had an appointment for my car window tinting and as i went they already took another customer in at my appointment timing and took like 4 hours to complete my windows. This shop maybe can only do straight glass tinting if that! I brought my Camaro to these guys and I wasn't informed about any of the cautions with tinting my back glass they never told me anything just ask what tint and made me wait 4 hours just for a rushed job that there tinting experts couldn't handle! My back glass has sun blockers on the window and when they cover them up with there tint it started bubbling and getting worse but the shop told me don't worry cause it's still setting but couple days fly by of me not driving it and it's starting to peel and bubble up making my back glass look terrible I don't recommend this shop at all so many other shops that can do such a better job if you have any type of special glass on ur cars don't bring it here!! I'm very displeased with this shop and there actions to not even help me try to get it fixed! Plus u might think there's a warranty right?? Nope they say there's nothing they can do and won't even take a look at it to help what a terrible customer service shop! read more

Great response time, very reasonable pricing, excellent installation. My only issues; they actually sprayed me & my laptop while I sat at my desk working and didn't say a word. I looked at the guy who was errant in his lathering of the film. Didn't say a word, just looked at me and kept spraying. Mind you I was working when they started in my dining room and then came into my office. Came in and didn't say, can you please move and I looked and said "am I ok?", nodded at me. Other item, that spraying dripped all over the floor and window sill which I expected them to clean up. I left the room after my laptop and I got sprayed and came back when they were done and gone. Maybe I should have checked but figured they'd clean up. Again, great price, scheduling and installation... very happy with the look. But I thought it was a pretty sloppy execution. I'd hire them again for sure, but just make sure they clean up. read more

Tried this place out due to the reviews I've read. But they have best prices I could find around my area. I attached a picture with prices. The service is quicker then other places I've gotten tints from. Took roughly 1hr and 35min. Waiting area is nice and comfy with couches, TV and coffee. Didn't notice the time go by. Staff was mostly helpful and helped determine what percentage was good. Ask for Erick he was professional and saved them from losing a star. I came in a few days prior to set up an appointment and the guy(polish short haired) I spoke with told me to call the number on the business card and make an appointment through them. I thought this was kind of rude and odd as he was telling me while looking at the computer. Overall the work the people in the back did to my truck was amazing. I will follow up if anything changes. It was very easy to make an appointment and get a quote. I arrived about 5 minutes after 10:00am at the shop and spoke with the cashier who explained the various levels of tint and options. After choosing, my vehicle was taken into the shop as I waited in the lobby area. I was told it would be about 1-1.5 hrs for the job. Soon, at about 11:00 am, my vehicle was ready to go with brand new tints. On my way home, I noticed a deep scratch (about ~5inches) on my driver's side window. Upon further inspection, there was still glass residue within the deep linear cut as if it just occurred. I head back to the shop to bring it up to the front desk person who went and grabbed the tinting crew. The tinting crew were really quick to tell me that I was wrong and that the damage was already there prior to coming in. They even told me that blades never go near a car when tinting. They said that they take pictures of all damage prior to tinting windows. However, the picture of the scratch that the employee showed me was from 10:39am. Mind you, I was told my car was ready to go at 11:00am. So, I asked if the damage was there prior then why was I not informed EARLIER before any work was done. As well as, why did no one care to point it out even afterwards as to avoid any confusion. Definitely no answer from that question. There seemed to be no answer as the tint worker just started walking away and I was left only to talk with the front desk person who didn't have an answer for me either. I asked if there was anything they could do to make the situation right to which they said nothing. I never raised my voice or asked for a refund. I never even asked for a manager but it would have been nice if they mentioned it to him/her to try and resolve the issue. Sad thing is I even opted to leave the crew the optional tip while being rung up at the cashier's. Wish I could take it back. I will say, the very first cashier in the beginning was nice and very helpful. read more

I recently changed from a SUV to a sedan and the SUVs I've had over the years came with tint. It wasn't until I was driving on a bright sunny morning did I notice that my recent choice was without the light shield I was accustomed to. For $190 plus tip, I was able to get a midsize sedan tinted (all four) and the windshield and it only took about 90 minutes. There are more expensive tint types and prices vary by vehicle type. In my experience, the tint shop is only open Monday through Saturday, and monthly specials are offered on weekdays. Like this month, it was 15% off M-F. Keep in mind, it's not advertised so you'll have to ask. There were at least 8 shades (%) to select from and tint types. In Chicago, the legal limit is 35% all around or darker is allowed on the passenger windows provided the front windows are lighter. In speaking with friends and doing a bit of research, I knew a light tint would work for me considering my seats are dark and I simply wanted a different exterior appearance and good visibility. Appointments are encouraged though not required. In my case, I made one and from what I can tell, it's managed by an offsite vendor or service and they were nice enough to send a text confirmation once it was confirmed. I deducted a star because there's no easy way to look at pricing, tint options or descriptions of each tint or look at tint % on vehicles using their website, requiring you to go in or use other sites. Also, it wouldn't be a bad idea to advertise monthly specials. read more

Today is January 15, 2022. My guy came here to get his two front windows fixed since they had a few open bubbles. First, they didn't even address him when he came in. Second, This car is brand new so we don't know if it was the tint that they put on here or the window. Let's get something straight!. It is Very rude to over talk a customer and tell him to stop talking. I had to look at the person helping us with a look on rude he was being,( I know it just a face but being that rude when a customers is trying to explain why he think it there and all you have to do is wait for them to stop talking then explain your side) he tried to say that we did those little bubbles or bump into them to make those marks. That very hard to create such little bubbles. Then keep saying it was his fault. He explained it was on both side. He check the other side then said the same thing someone one bump into it. We are very careful to not bump or lean onto the windows in our car. It's very frustrating to talk to them. I would never recommend this place. I don't know where they get theses fives stars but definitely wouldn't come back. Probably have to find place since they over charge as well. We have life time guaranteed. We should be able to get this fixed with no issues. The guy told him that there will be bubbles on the next one and if there is they can't replace them. So we paid how much for life time guaranteed to be told; yes they don't want to replace them nor if the new tints get messed up they won't replace those either. The audacity to steal people money! We have to pay more to get a darker color.. We decided to to go somewhere else. read more

I do not know who the people that leave 5-star reviews are. Here is my story. After thorough research on tinting options for my vehicle, I decided to use services of Tinting Chicago, March 12, 2018. This blade I found in the car seat of my vehicle right after tinting. I cannot even imagine what my 1-year-old would do with this blade if he would find it first. Babies like to put things in their mouths, noses, eyes. Upon email to the owner about this safety issue, I had no response whatsoever. Update April 13, 2018: Upon thorough inspection of my windows, I found some bubbles. I do not want these bubbles to grow to the size of ugly football's ball. I did not roll down windows for 5 days. There is also attrition period of few days. I feel embarrassed driving a vehicle with bubbled tinting. If after a couple of weeks bubbles will not disappear, I am truly considering going to real professionals, even though I will pay twice more than I have paid at Tinting Chicago. I will scrap this film and get the film that does not require lifetime warranty, stays for a reasonable amount of time and does not bubble after just one month. I would recommend being careful with small shops like this one. P.S. I do not work for any of the competitors of Tinting Chicago and have real receipt of transaction that happened March 12, 2018, at the shop on Belmont Avenue. I called Tinting Chicago in order to find out if my skylight could be tinted. I also called other tinting companies with mixed results. Alex from Tinting Chicago contacted me and came to my home to inspect the window. Alex showed me different options in Tinting, and answered all our questions. A couple 9f days later a team of installers arrived and installed the film. They were quick and very clean. They seemed very experienced. Tints on my windows came out great. I went with the 5% in the back and 35% in the front. They inspected my car afterwords for artifacts in the film and found a bubble. They fixed it immediately, making sure I was happy and that the tints were applied the right way. I asked for a slightly more challenging tint on my taillights, since I wanted the inner silver part a darker smoke than outer red portion. They walked me through the different percentages and helped me pick a darkness I liked. The wait time for tints and light smokes was long, but it's to be expected if you walk in without appointment. Regardless, I brought my laptop in to work so time flew by quickly. They have a nice couch area and play TopGear on the TV. The owner of the place was always in and out so he was accessible if need be. It was nice to know there was somebody in charge making sure things were in check. He had noticed I was there for a while and proceeded to offer me coffee, water, etc. I was really pleased even though I declined his offer. I also noticed he took care of his other customers really well. I definitely give their customer service an A+. "Igor" also made sure I was always happy. He followed up with me about my tints, waiting time, progress and even sold me cheaper tints since the price he stated over the phone was lower than what they actually offered. Friendly guy. Overall, I'm happy with my tints. the 5% tints are REALLY dark and hard to get used to at first. You almost feel trapped in your car and I honestly regretted getting them so dark at first. They grew on me over time and now I can say I really love being so hidden from people behind me. Sure it's dark at night, but you still are able to see headlights and street signs clearly. They offer 3M film for window tints and they appear great in color and perform well in heat/light allowance. My headlight/taillight smoked tints appear to have a green-ish tinge to them. I honestly wish they didn't but it isn't so green to the point that it's unbearable. I'm just a very picky person when it comes to color, so the ever-so-slight green bothers me a tad.
