FRIENDLY AND GREAT SERVICE!!! I was looking for window tinting service for my girlfriend's '11 Camry. Check out several places on yelp and this place has the best review so we decided to bring her car in last Friday. The location was easy to find. We walked in and they have a nice display of different types of alarm and car stereo available. We met Sam first and he was nice and friendly. Right away he told us Danny is the owner and he'll be right out. Then Danny came out and greet us. We told him what we were looking for and what he would suggest. He just got done finishing up another vehicle. He took his time explaining to us about different shades and how it would look on the car. We were going to go with medium tint but after seeing the finished car which is also black color with light tint on the front and medium tint on the back we decided to go with lighter tint which was what Danny suggest. This doesn't make the car too dark and is legal. Last thing we want is be worrying about getting tickets. The price was great and cheaper than couple places I had called so we left the car there and Danny told us to come back in 3 hours. When we came back to pick up the car we were really happy with the work. Light tint came out perfectly with black car. We were very satisfied with the work that I brought my car in today to get it tinted also. I highly recommend MK Electronics if you want honest, friendly, and great service. I'd give 0 stars if it was an option. Purchase a remote start and had it installed here. Owner told me 1 year warranty. Remote start is causing electronic malfunctions in my vehicle after 7 months. Owner claims that the handwritten receipt I have from him which is from his receipt book with his letterhead on it, isn't covered by them. Claims that they never installed the remote in my vehicle. Went in to have the following done: -Stereo Installation/Configuration -Speaker Replacements -Tints Used up 2 of my PTO days because of a lack of communication by the owner. I've been loyal to this place, running on referring friends/co-workers for over 12 yrs. Used up time, then my radio gets installed incorrectly. I have nothing but error prompts on the dash from this place, and the stereo will not even eject-Post install. what did the team say? We are not responsible for custom work, we no touch. I said fine...I'll have to pay a PROFESSIONAL SERVICE elsewhere. Unprofessional staff/Owner. Minimal-no communication. I regret bringing my car here for services that completely half-assed. Had tint put on my 2013 Honda Civic. Really well done and affordable ($200). We noticed a huge hair in the back window tint about an hour after the tint was done. We called, they told us to bring the car back and they re-did the entire back window for free. Great service. Honestly, we're picky about everything, and the hair in the window may have been something many vendors would have been upset about fixing. This guy was awesome, he fixed it on the spot and was genuine and polite the entire time. If you need tint, this place is great. read more

Fantastic family business! Great customer service! Unbeatable prices!! I love this place and would recommend it to anyone! I had no idea what I was doing (had a stereo, needed it installed but didn't want to buy the extra special fancy GM kit) and had called around to a few other places in the area. Every other place I called was WAY more expensive and very rude and didn't want to sell me anything other than the $200 GM kit which I didn't want!! I was almost going to give up and then I found MK! I believe it was Sam? (the son) and the father that helped me out. They were both very nice, very informative and answered every little question I had. Not only did the whole process take only an hour (and they were able to get a regular kit to fit!), but Sam recommended a great Mexican food place up the street for us to get some lunch while we waited...and even called us to let us know the car would be ready in 20 minutes. The best part? They had quoted me a very reasonable price - and even though there ended up being a small complication with my particular model, they still honored the original price even though it should have cost me $25 more! Daniel & MK are amazing. After getting several estimates, MK had the best price and best turnaround time for getting a Viper remote start, full window tint & enabling bluetooth on my '09 Audi. It was very convenient to get my tints and electronics all done in one shop. The other places that I called gave inflated prices and were not as professional. When I called MK, Daniel took the time to explain everything thoroughly without making me feel pressured. The install was fast, clean & everything works perfectly. MK's staff was very knowledgeable and trustworthy throughout the whole process. The price alone was enough to sell me, but I found the service and convenience to be unmatchable in the Chicagoland area. I actually got my windows tinted here probably about two years ago.. and let me tell you... they still look amazing..there's no bubbles & I got a really good deal and it looks really nice on my BMW They also gave me a warranty for the tints but i mean.. he did such a great job that i dont even know if i actually need the warranty. read more

RIP OFFS!!! They put in my remote start so when my xm radio started acting up I asked them if they could look at it and tell me what was wrong. I had to pay them up front $40.00 which I wasn't too happy about but was told they would definitively tell me what was wrong and I could take that $40.00 to use towards repairing the unit. After over an hour in the shop they told me definitively it was the unit receiver. Not the wiring or the antenna. Then they offered me some device for over $100.00 they said would make it work. I ordered a new receiver and dock which did nothing to fix the problem. I went back to them and they back peddled saying they only said it might be the unit. Really? For $40.00 I could have guessed that too! I paid to know - not guess - what the problem was. So far no refund. Not happy having paid out good money for NO SERVICE! Will never use or recommend them again! Rip offs!!! read more

Very Honest.. I had a car alarm put in and they did great work. The car alarm model I asked for had been upgraded and they were like "good for you" never any mention of more money. I told them I thought my stereo sounded ok but wondered if throwing speakers in would improve. After a listen, he said "No, this sounds great for stock.. leave it alone". Great place. Competitive price. Quality work done fast. Got double din audio installed and tint all the way around and they charged me $280, down from the $300 they quoted me on the phone. I checked-in and got $20 Yelp coupon to bring it down to $260 and he wasn't happy about that because he thought he already gave me $20 off but he honored it. The place is well-managed. Big garage. EXCELLENT! FRIENDLY! FAST! I was initially going to have the dealership install a remote starter but their service center could care less about their customers. I ended up saving $150 by going to MK, which happened to be half a mile from home. Plus, their remote start (Viper) has a 5-year warranty with it. Arrived at ten next day he said to come back at 12 get here at 12 he says the man who works on cars is a few minutes away its 2 o clock and they still haven't even started working on my car . Fairly new on Yelp but I decided to try these guys out for my Jeep for the two front windows. Dan did a fantastic job making it look like the factory tint on the back ones. Ok I've been to this place since they opened, So far so good, but of course I referred a co-worker to this place for a remote starter he had the worst experience it took a total of 3 days and at the end they made him pay for something that when the car went in was working when it left their shop wasn't working so they made him pay for it. I went to MK for an alarm/remote starter to be installed in my car. I, not too car electronic savvy, wasn't too sure what kind to purchase or where to start. With the knowledgeable reps guiding me through the products they offer, I was able to narrow it down to my Autopage 915. I was impressed with how friendly, timely, and detailed they were. The guy that installed it in my car was detailed and showed me how to use all of the features it came with. This is a very reasonable place to have your equipment installed. Very helpful and they did an excellent job of installing my stereo and speakers. The only thing is take all your electronics out with you, mp3 player, your garmin anything that is in your glove box or anyplace you may hide them. Because you won't have them when you want to use them. They will take them. The price off installation was good but when you figure the cost off the electronics that was taken from me, it wasn't all that great. So beware of this place. read more

the install was clean, but there was an issue with my driver door speaker, from the previous owner opening everything up, so i asked em to look at it for me, upon checking the speaker was good but the wiring had been tempered with so it required new wiring, after attempting to fix it, they declined the process by saying it would take too long and they were closing soon. but they didn't charge me for the diagnosis. at that point i was really happy with the customer service...but little did i know by the time i got home, my driver side door wouldn't open from inside, after opening the driver door they tempered something with the inside door latch...im going back this coming Monday, hoping they will wire the driver speaker for the agreed price as before and fix that aspect of the door latch...if not then i will never be going back to MK electronics and not recommend them to anyone... Monday was good, they were able to figure the door latch issue(they forgot to reattach it before) and successfullly wire my driver door speaker, their customer service made up for the door latch blunder, so in the future I will go to them as long as they maintain the reasonable price n excellent customer service. read more
