Don't expect expert advice. The most you'll find out is the price. We wanted to install electrical wiring for the towbar. The wires were routed through the trunk. I've had the same car key fobs for 14 years, and they've been great. But they finally died a couple of months ago. New batteries didn't work, so I knew I needed replacements. Unfortunately, it's been so long since I needed one that the dealership I bought the car from is no longer in business and moved, and there were only a handful of places that still sold my key fob. I went to Elk Grove at first, specifying that I wanted two key fobs to avoid being dependent on one again. After they fixed it, they told me they only had one in stock but "maybe" their second location would have one. I got a call about 24-48 hours from Forest Park. The guy who called knew nothing about my key fob or even my name. He apparently was just told to call me. And then I never heard from him again after I sent a photo and as much of a description of the key fob as I could. It's very strange. I'm literally TRYING to throw money at this company to buy something. They don't even have to sell me on it. And they just went missing. Next time I run into this problem, I'll just get another car alarm system. I am not making this three-hour public transportation trek again to Elk Grove and definitely not to Forest Park, considering they don't even bother to call you back. read more

Poor service, sub-par knowledge, no accountability. I had high hopes for this place. Took my car in for a simple remote start reprogramming, which i was told should have taken no more than 10 minutes, and would be no charge considering they work with the dealership i bought it from. Walked in and one guy said they wouldn't have time for it today. I told him i called and spoke with someone who said they would. Thats when another gentleman intervened and said they could do it(im assuming he's the one i spoke with). Over a half hour later they tell me that the reprogramming worked but my key with attached buttons is no longer working. I haven't had a problem with it since buying the car 2 years ago. They said it was just a "coincidence" and there was nothing they could do besides install a new remote start system. So now my remote start doesnt work PLUS i cant lock and unlock my car with the buttons?? There goes $160 bucks. Now i have an extra fob and useless key buttons. THEN they lost the screw that holds my old key together and just said "sorry". The only reason im leaving 2 stars is because they were able to see me right away without an appointment, and the front desk cut off a few bucks from my bill considering i didnt even have quite enough at the time to cover the full bill. My 1985 Vette needed a new sound system... double din was too big... so John Faust at ABC set me up with single din Kenwood head unit paired with a Kenwood 5 channel amp, Hertz component speakers in front and Kenwood speakers with a sub box in the rear along with a new HD radio antennae... pricing was excellent, the installation was AMAZING... and flawless... and the sound? ...this thing is now a rolling juke box... I cannot get my 17 year old son to stop driving the car and give me a turn... I'm pretty sure he's even driving it to the bathroom... thanks to John, the other Brian, and the installation crew... everything is absolutely perfect... exceeded all my expectations for pricing, promptness, and quality of the installation. read more

Got myself and my wife a remote starter 1-2 weeks ago and so far so good. Tony's pretty responsive and reliable. They have a lot of customers so it can get crazy in there sometimes but overall I am pleased. Thank God I don't have to get in a cold car anymore. I've owned a total of four cars 2 cars and 2 suv. I have going too this company since the was originally located on 71 and western in the city. I've can honestly say they have always taken care of my vehicles and I have always felt they are honest and trust worthy. I had a Chevy blazer I went for my remote start, young man asked about upgrading my "factory" alarm that came with it. He explained the difference of a factory alarm and i would a real alarm. Yes I did the upgrade. Now fast forward too 2022. At 1:37am a group of punks decide steal my conver off my 2015 Mitsubish. I got lucky and heard them got luck and not as much damage done. The factory alarm never went off and my suv was jacked up off the ground. Long story short I will be contacting you guys about a upgrade on the alarm. I had an issue with my remote start that I got free with my new car at castle Chevrolet in Villa Park so I contacted them they let me know that ABC were the one that did my remote start so I contacted them they said come on in and let's check it out and they did and they corrected and fixed the problem at no charge they were kind courteous and very prompt they have a nice waiting room with aTV and coffee And everybody was very nice I highly recommend that everybody go here just because it's hard to get quality these days read more

Wanted some running board lights installe, simple job. After 3 hours, pulled the vehicle out and the lights didn't work. Pulled it back in and after another hour and supposedly fixed, I pulled it out again and the lights didn't work. I'm never going back there again, especially since they charge premium labor charges. read more

After 2 days and driving to 4 different places to get my HIDs replaced, I was referred to Tony at ABC - not only did they have everything my car needed, they were able to take me right away on a Saturday morning, no appointment. Prices were fair, service excellent (with a sense of humor) and I was in and out in a flash (and they were pretty busy!). They even used the bulbs I had bought elsewhere. Was worried when I heard it was first come first serve and prepared myself to be there for 5 hours or more. Arrived around 10 am and saw a full shop along with a full garage. I was assured that it is normally a 2-3 hour job to install this particular remote start. The front desk checked me in quickly and showed me to the waiting room. I took off for a walk about 35-45 minutes into the wait and my truck was already in the garage. When I came back the front desk told me that I was almost done! I was surprised. When I paid my bill and checked out the remote start I was extremely satisfied. I could go into a product review but this is more about the shop. I'd recommend ABC to friends and family. I don't have complex car electronics needs, but regardless, Tony is more than happy to help. I got an adapter for my phone a few years ago, and it broke while I was living out of state - both the phone connector and auxiliary jack. When I moved back to town, I stopped by ABC and Tony took a look, brought my car in, and they were able to get the auxiliary jack working again for me, with no charge! I had some distortion problems and swung by, and again Tony took a quick look and told me the problem (my phone volume was too loud). I was having issues again with crackling on my stereo, they took it in and fixed it up, again with no charge! I have not had to really wait to get my car looked at any time I've gone in - but since it's first come first serve it does help to go when they open or the middle of a weekday if you can. My strong opinion is that a store is best judged by how they treat you when something goes wrong. Some will make excuses & do everything they can to avoid the 'cost' of standing behind their work/product, some will roll their eyes & fix the issue while making you feel like you're the jerk......and then there are the BEST of the BEST; they take responsibility, fix the matter & then sincerely take great pleasure in your ultimate satisfaction. ABC IS THIS FINAL TYPE OF BUSINESS. I had some PIAA lights installed on my pickup &, somehow, the electrical grounding was temperamental & so they sometimes worked, sometimes did not. The team at ABC welcomed me back with open arms and QUICK (as in made it a major priority) took the wrench to my problem & had me on my way. This place sucks. They try n suck every dime and nickel out of you and pretend they will take care of you. Completely over charge and if anything goes wrong with the equipment you are basically screwed. They give you a warranty but will charge you $45 just to check out the problem. Don't bother getting anything from here. I purchased a radio and asked them to check out the problem I was having and they basically guessed what the problem was and tried to sell me a new radio and speakers because they didn't want to check it out . So far so good. Really wanted to upgrade Vue radio for iPod use. Walked in at 9am when they opened, the guy knew exactly what I was talking about. Best Buy quoted us 50% more. The Vue makes it complicated as the radio is tied to the car's computer system. Best not to go to Best Buy. These guys have the best prices and are experts. I wasn't expecting to be able to pick it back up before they closed, but I got a call at 4:30pm that my car was ready! What a nice surprise. I worked with Tony at ABC - he was excellent. Friendly & helpful. Answered all my questions about the starter and the costs before I committed to doing the work.
