Came in for a rewiring job & a new battery, which can be extensive. When I got in my car, all the lights on the dash were on as they didnt reset or get the car ready for me when I arrived. Windows werent able to work properly either which is all a reset process that I had to do. I think it was a rushed job and I do not like the end result. I came to Soundz Good after reading great reviews, hoping for a smooth experience getting an automatic start installed in my car. Unfortunately, it was anything but. Right from the start, the system didn't work as promised. Even standing just 20 feet away, the car wouldn't start consistently. When it did start, the engine would turn on and off multiple times in a row--definitely not normal behavior. I brought the car back in, hoping they'd fix the issue. While the staff was polite and apologetic, the same problems continued even after they said it was resolved. As a mom of two small kids, making multiple trips and relying on Uber rides while juggling childcare just to get this issue fixed was beyond frustrating. After six Uber rides and zero real solutions, I ended up having them uninstall the system altogether. To their credit, they did offer to install a brand new system after the third visit--but honestly, that should have been offered after the first attempt. By that point, I had no more time, energy, or patience to waste. While the staff was kind, this experience was a headache from start to finish. I wouldn't recommend having a remote start system installed here, especially if you're a busy parent who can't afford repeated trips for a service that should've worked the first time. read more

The wiring to my alarm system was clipped when a new car battery was installed by AAA. AAA asked that I get a quote to have it repaired. I found three places that provided alarms system. The first shop didn't answer. For which I am now very thankful. Soundz Good was the second place I called. Bob allowed me to bring the car to the shop that very day. But that's not the end of it. The tech, Octavio, saw that the fob was detached from my key. He repaired it without being asked. This made my day because I was constantly searching for the fob to open the car as the alarm was connected to the fob not the key. Update, I did end up going back to them for the replacement woofer, since I thought there was not much for them to really do that they could mess up. I told them about the issue I had last time, and was assured that they would take care and disable the honda "noise cancelling" that was activating the woofer. Nope. Now it is doing the same thing again, randomly firing full blast. Now I need to go in to get it fixed again. Very annoying. 2 stars instead of 1 because they are polite, quick, and probably don't overcharge? but when I give them exactly the issue, and they promise me it won't happen, then they just completely fail to do it, requiring me to waste 2 hours, that's just a really bad experience. read more

Speakers sound exceptional, installed JL C5 3 way components. I talked with Bob, we went over the details of the install and what my options were. My door needed modifications because it only originally had a place for a 6.5 inch speaker. I have done some DIY car audio installs in the past and am very nit-picky when it comes to the installation and keeping things looking factory. I brought my 2011 Honda Fit in to have the factory radio replaced with a Sony AX-5000 double-DIN, a back-up camera installed, and a safety-check on my DIY subwoofer install. Robert and I went through the work to be done, agreed on a price, and I handed over the keys. A few hours later, I got a call that the car was done. When I came to pick up the car, they charged me LESS than the quoted price because the subwoofer safety-check didn't require as much work as anticipated. Honesty is important in the car audio business. Additionally, they were able to keep my car looking 100% factory by replacing the 12v charger with USB ports for my head unit. They told me that if I needed anything to be adjusted, I can bring the car back free of charge. Additionally, I got a 1-year warranty on the back-up camera through the shop. Bob and the Soundz Good team nailed it again! SGC installed running boards on my '08 Infiniti FX a few years ago, so they were the smart choice for my '15 Audi Q7. I even got another quote that SGC beat by $700! It became an easy call. I already ordered and had the running boards. Bob insisted on keeping the car overnight to "do the job right". You have to appreciate when someone cares about his/her work and your satisfaction to that extent. The work was done by 9a the next day. They even let me "unwrap" the boards myslef - like Christmas!! The price I was given was good - tried ordering and scheduling but was told I have to come in so that they can check if that's the part "for sure for sure" - a classic bat and switch tactic. To avoid that, I asked if I could e-mail the specific part numbers that I received from the manufacturer to ensure we were on the same page. I was provided an e-mail address that checks out (they list it on their Facebook page) - e-mailed them twice - from two different addresses to avoid any possible issues, and received no response. My phone is a diva. When I got a new car, I was excited at the prospect of having Bluetooth for streaming and phone calls. I'm not sure if it's the year or model of my car, but this Subaru's interface is anything, but straightforward. Where my mom's Corolla was a simple to pair phones and get working, this one was about as easy as one of those word problems which asks you to figure out when two trains will meet. Once I got it all setup, I discovered two things. First, the user interface sucked. Second, my phone didn't play nice with calls routed through the car. I could answer and hang up, but neither party could hear each other. Because of this I decided to upgrade my stereo. After purchasing the stereo, manfriend and I decided to do the install ourselves. Getting the actual head unit swapped wasn't too bad, getting the old one out was the hardest part. What stumped us was the steering wheel wiring harness. Installation had also taken longer than expected and there were a few rookie issues we needed to correct. After trying to figure it out ourselves and being the only one of us who fit under the steering wheel to work, I emailed Soundz Good and another place to pass the baton. I never heard from the other place, but I got a quick response from Bob at Soundz Good with a reasonable quote. I'm not sure if it's always the case, but I didn't need an appointment, which was nice. I dropped the car off around 10 on a Saturday and Robert told me expect it around 2; I was thrilled to get a call closer to noon. The steering wheel harness and the other minor items were all addressed and cost exactly as estimated. Everything works as intended and service was very friendly. While I don't plan on making any other audio upgrades to this car, I would come here if that ever changes. read more

First visit the additional remote that purchase from them didn't work so I told them to wire everything that's needed and I'll pay for half of the work and the rest once I bring the key from the dealership so they can program it. I thought at max 1.5hrs (being generous) to complete the work; was told 2hrs---5.5hrs later and they are still working on my car. There's no way it would take that long to " program " the system, unless nothing was done during the first visit! Just wasted my time and to add insult to injury; they don't have a waiting area. Even if they do a good job in the end, dealing with all this makes it a horrible experience. read more

Meh it's a okay place to have work done to your car but please be aware they will tack on things you don't need and try to charge you for it, so you will have to be very blunt and upfront about what type of work you want done to your vehicle or they will add unnecessary items in and charge you for it. They tried to charge me for an antenna extender when I didn't need one because previously I did work to the vehicle prior to going to them. When the work was done they said we will just throw in the extender for no charge but soon Upon checking my vehicle for the extender it wasn't present, so just be careful doing business with this company and watch your back. And also make sure you don't leave any money in your car when taking your vehicle to them, I'm missing 5 dollars from my glove box that was present prior to me going to them. read more

Don't bother making an appointment. I made an appointment for 9am and was told that my car will be done by 2. I am still sitting here at 4pm. Also make sure to recap several times with them what you want. I was very clear about the type of autostart that I wanted put in my car (one that would work with an app and a remote). They gave me one that would work with an app but failed to mention that in order for the app to actually work, another piece had to be installed. Just make sure you're actually getting what you wanted and don't count on them to be done with any respect to the deadline they state. read more
