Great service and great value! I shopped around looking for a place that had good service and hopefully good prices and was recommended United Auto Glass by a friend! And they didn't disappoint, the prices are excellent but the service is even better! I had my 4 windows tinted and they look great! The people working here are professionals you can tell they take pride in their work. Thanks United Auto! read more

Had a concert to run to and had a bit of an accident, rear window was busted and was 6:30 at the time. Every place was closed and down for the weekend except for Rafael at United auto glass, who picked up and even provided the finish time + price. He had received us by 7:30 and had us out by 8:30. Mind you by himself after hours. I just wanted to thank this man for allowing me and my wife to attend our zingara concert without missing anything! Anyone looking for quality service from a quality human look no further than United Auto Glass!! read more

United Auto Glass - Auto Glass Services Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

This place is one of the most clutch Auto Glass repair shops I have been to yet. No reservations needed, just pull in to the garage and wait for your turn to be serviced. The prices are very reasonable! I do recommend calling first before you come to confirm that they have your window in stock. They are very busy so please be patient when you arrive in case your wait time is longer than expected. read more

Amazing service!! This is my 4th car that they tinted the windows on and they have done at least 6 cars for my nephew and his friends. Raphael is one of the nicest and kindest man i ever met. He goes above and beyond for his customers. I have never had a problem with the tint peeling or crazing. Comfortable waiting area. And last but not least the prices here are the best in ALL of Chicago. There is no reason anyone should go anywhere else!! read more

When my car window got broken, they fixed it with a great price. Had to wait sometime but that's fine! It's affordable!

They are very nice job and fast installation for my windshield of car ~ less than 1 hour. The owner is sincere person who wasn't over charged . The price was very satisfying than others stores . Thank you given a good experience!! read more

Cannot say enough good things about this place! My car window was smashed and windshield was cracked just days before Christmas. This was the only place open near me on Sundays and they were able to get everything fixed in just under 2 hours. Pricing was significantly less than what I was quoted through Safelite and the service was amazing. Would highly reccomend! read more

No frills spot that does tinting and replaces auto glass for a reasonable price! My car got broken into so we needed to find a spot that wasn't too expensive and open on a Sunday and this spot was it. I have a Corolla and they charged me 80 bucks to get my passenger window replaced which I found was extremely reasonable! Some spots were charging 150/210! I do say we did have quite a bit of a wait and didn't get much direction on how long it would take, we also saw our car sitting with the window replaced so we asked someone if it was done in order to pay. Honestly for the price, it's worth the wait. If you're looking for a straight to the point, get the job done kind of spot this place is for you! read more

Not able to to do a back window of my station wagon . Got back to me about 24 hours later. I thought they did custom work, but they didn't

Major praise to Raphael and the team at United Auto Glass. I arrived at my car yesterday evening to find the back window smashed and shattered. I called United based on reviews and within 2 hours time (on a Sunday morning no less!) I had a quote, appointment, and they replaced the rear window to perfection (2020 Rav 4). The price and quote were the same and the best price. Another place quoted me nearly double. I tipped because, man, they restored my window and faith in humanity -- and Raphael couldn't have been nicer. What a breath of fresh air. If you are waiting inside at the counter, just give a knock on the side service door or call. They are working hard and may not always be at the front desk. Will definitely be back in the event city-living and drivers take their toll on my car again. read more

Solid service on a Sunday, prices are the lowest I've come across and I've had my windows changed numerous times over the last 20 years. Can't go wrong with this place. They changed my windshield, and it's been a few weeks since. No problems at all, would recommend. read more

Very bad experience with this shop. I went there to get my windshield replaced, but they did a bad job and ripped my dashboard. They didn't even care when I told them about it. I wouldn't go back there or recommend it to anyone. Make sure you take pictures of the vehicle before you hand it over or AVOID THIS PLACE. read more

Sunday afternoon I discovered a rear passenger window had been broken on my vehicle. United Auto Glass was the only place I could find open and they were able to get me in an hour later. They were quick and the price was very reasonable. They also took the time to remove some stubborn tree sap that had gotten on my car, which I appreciated. Cut to Tuesday morning, two days later, and I discover my driver window has been broken out overnight and my vehicle rifled thru. Again, United Auto Glass was able to get me in within an hour and are currently replacing a second window for me within 48 hours. Very nice and helpful, but I do hope I am not back a third time anytime soon. read more

Had a big rock hit my windshield while on the highway They didn't have it on hand and ordered it and installed it same day. Very nice people, great price (my parents previously owned an auto shop so I'm aware of fair pricing) and more importantly, good quality work. They prefer cash (will be slightly cheaper) but take card by the way. Definitely would come again! read more

My window got broken in a Saturday night smash and grab, and I had until Monday morning to fix it before I needed my car to be functional for a whole day of driving (in freezing sleet). United Auto Glass was the only place open on a Sunday, and within an hour of my calling, they managed to find a replacement window for me. They had me in and out with the repair in a little over an hour, at a very reasonable price, and were friendly and helpful when I was a stressed out mess and really needed it. Great work, and great service! read more

Great service and cheap they took care of me ASAP when I arrived it's my second time coming here

They were awesome. My friend had a broken passenger window that they replaced the glass in less than an hour. They were very professional.

I came in in the fourth of July because some kind of firework shattered my driver's window. I was able to come in, he took my car back, fixed it, and even vacuumed ALL of the lose glass! And if that wasn't enough, he went out of his way to fix a broken fixture in the car. This guy is legit! read more

Someone broke into my car Saturday night. I wanted it fixed as soon as possible. Sunday around 2:00 pm, I called these guys, as it said they were open on Sundays. They said they had the glass, quoted a price and to bring my car right into the shop. Just about 1 hour later, my window was fixed and I was on my way. The staff I dealt with were quick and courteous. Also, the price was 1/5 what Safelite quoted me. read more

My car was broken into, and the passenger side window was completely shattered. There was glass EVERYWHERE. I didn't bother cleaning it because there was too much. I brought it to United Auto Glass and they replaced the window and cleaned up all the glass. It was extremely affordable and done within an hour!! I'll definitely be back for them to install my tints. AMAZING SERVICE!! read more

I am fan for sure. My rear divers side window got broken out while sitting in front of my building (that's Humboldt Park for ya). I was very distraught because it looked like I was going to be set back about $150 minimum for a new window. However, after talking to a friend they told me call United Auto Glass that they were reasonable. Thank god I did because they got me the window and installed it for $75 total. They didn't have my window in stock, but got it delivered within an hour and had it installed within a half an hour after that. Pretty good. Some advice though, they don't speak English well so be prepared to have some struggles if you don't have some basic Spanish speaking skills. Also, cash only. If you don't bring cash the closest ATM is at a grocery store two blocks away, and the neighborhood is not one I really wanted to walk around in. Overall, an almost perfect experience. read more

Valentines Day, 2009. I come to my car, and someone had thrown a fifth bottle through the windshield. This, combined with a bit of sadness about finding out my very recent ex was getting married in a week, I had no valentines day date, and a horrid hangover, really made V-Day special!! hahaha ... Believe me though, i saw the humour in it all. Well, I called my car guy (that I'd found through Craigslist) (btw, Craig cures all ailments) .. and he recommended United Autoglass on North. These guys fixed my car in about two hours, and charged 100 dollars less than my car insurance agency had quoted me. $117 for a new windshield! Not too shabby..... They were very friendly, quick, and trusting. I'm going here again, if some jerk decides to through their liquor through my windshield again. Then again, I am living in a new neighborhood... In the end, I had a great V-Day. read more

These guys are lifesavers. They replaced our cracked windshield and driver's side window within 24 hours of me calling them. They were the most affordable place I called, and they did a good job. Everybody was very patient and helpful. Just be aware that there could be a language barrier for some people. Edit: I noticed that the driver's side window now sticks a little when opening or closing, when it didn't before. It's not a big deal and I still recommend these guys, but I wish they'd done a little more testing before handing it back to us. PS, watch out for the cats when pulling in or out. They're cute little guys and I'd hate for them to get hurt :) read more

DO NOT GO HERE FOR TINTS. TERRIBLE SERVICE. LOW QUALITY. I brought my BMW in to get the windows tinted and was provided the worst service I've seen on a tint job. There was no attention to detail and the quality was terrible. Not only did the tints have air bubbles, scratches and creases in the paper... but they left dirt all over my back seat and ripped the interior fabric. I called them the next day entirely displeased with their service and they had me come in to get it fixed. They ended up replacing the tints on all my side windows (which looked better) and mentioned they "fixed" the tint on my rear window. Unfortunately this was not the case... The shop is fairly dark, so it's difficult to see the details of their work until you're outside. The rear window was still below par and they claimed to not have "correct tool" to repair the ripped fabric. There was a younger man who was helpful the first time I went, but the rest of them don't speak English as well - which of course were the ones I had to explain the issues to. On top of all this, their waiting room is filthy to the point you won't want to sit on the furniture. They also do not have any heat, so if you make the poor decision of going here during the winter, bundle up! In any case - PLEASE save yourself the agony I've experienced and head to a real business that can provide you the quality service you deserve. read more

I will be going back to United for sure! Nice and knowledgeable staff, very reasonable price, accurate time and price vs quote. I went to replace my front windshield due to a large crack. It came in about 1/2 the price of the major auto glass company's quote. read more

I have my windshield replaced two months ago on a car I was rebuilding. I dropped it off at the body shop for them to finish the body work and paint and in order to do that they had to take out the windshield. They had a windshield technician come to the shop to take out the windshield only to find out that whoever put it in which was united auto glass, and said they Did a piss poor job. They put sealant in the wrong spots and they installed it with a small crack that I couldn't see it because it was underneath the plastic. I will never return to this place again. I tried to work with the shop to get them to either refund it or just help credit me a little bit so I can pay the guy who has to now scrape out the old caulk that United auto put in and they won't do anything they said it's my problem. read more
