Got the basic remote starter installed yesterday, and so far so good. I didn't shop around--I was looking for someone who could put it in that day--so I don't know if they are the cheapest, but I'll tell you this: I am glad I spent my money there. Not only are they friendly, helpful at explaining the different options, and a local business, but they also seem like really good guys. While I was in there, a woman came in a little panicked because she had a job interview in half an hour and her car was snowed in. She was just looking for some help. He told her no problem, he'd send his guys out and she could wait in the store. It had nothing to do with car starters or installation, but, for me, it was an excellent judge of character, which gave me faith in their work. Great honest service!!! Went in here with my non-working HID headlights and fog lights expecting the worse and having to replace the entire system. After about 30 minutes of checking it out, they determined it was just a fuse and only charged me the service fee to check our the car (like $30 or so). Any other shop with questionable character could have easily lied and told me that I needed a new setup and could have charged me $300 or more...but not here. The factory JBL stereo in my 2002 Toyota Avalon finally sustained a CD jam. I'm shocked it took 14 years, but instead of fretting, I went on eBay and found a pristine identical radio. Helpful above and beyond. I thought I had a blown tweeter in my 2003 BMW so I ordered the $30 part from eBay and brought it in. Turns out the attached larger speaker was cracked. The tech informed me that it would be about $90 to order an eBay replacement -- a bummer indeed. Then the tech detached the wire to the blown speaker and played the radio -- sounded good even without it so I won't have to order the part after all, plus I'll get a refund on the tweeter. I asked the tech what I owed him and he said, "Don't worry about it." This was my first visit -- these guys didn't know me from Adam, yet took the time to solve my problem at no charge. Tons of issues with a remote starter from the other place and was given bad advice on audio system. Long story short, these guys actually knew their stuff, walked me through my options and helped me out a lot. I just had my car's 15 year old alarm system disconnected here, and they did an amazing job. After having numerous places tell me there was nothing they could do, Armando Sounds disconnected my alarm, recharged my battery (the alarm had been draining the battery), and installed key-less entry and remote start -- all for about $220! They solved all the problems with my car (it now starts, and I can now open any of the car doors - before I could only unlock the car from one side and lock the car from the other side), and the whole thing only took a few hours. With an AEM CAI, RacingBeat Header, and dual Borlas, my new (to me) PRHT NC MX5 drones somewhat unpleasantly with the top up. I made an appointment with Armando Sounds on Wednesday for Saturday to have my whole trunk Dynamatted. I was quoted $325 including materials and although this was more than I thought, they were the only people who actually got back to me and, based on previous reviews, I decided to chance it. When we originally spoke they estimated about two to three hours for the install. The actual install was MUCH more involved than they thought - despite the small size, the MX5 trunk is geometrically complex and due to the cold weather, the dynamat was very difficult to work with. The whole install took about five hours. Despite the additional time, material and care it took, they stuck to their original estimate and did a very good and thorough job. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place - they're very knowledgeable, do a great job, and unlike most other car audio shops, they will call you back when they say and respond to emails. read more

I have no background in car audio so I'll admit to being a bit apprehensive about doing any kind of project in a new vehicle. Everything has been factory spec all these years. After doing some research into what I felt I needed ( wanted really), I took my plans to Armando Sounds and was greeted by Mike, the manager at the store. Mike and Giovanni, the technician, immediately surveyed my Lexus Ct200h and we discussed what may or may not work. There just hasn't been much aftermarket activity done for this vehicle as it hasn't been on the market very long so I was a little concerned about the whole process. Even though I've been to other car audio installers/shops around the area that were rated really well here on Yelp, I felt pretty confident that I had found the proper installer. There was no pressured sales pitch. They were not offended when I suggested on "shopping around a bit." Ultimately, I even brought in my own equipment and they were able to make things work the way it should. Their prices for products and services are very competitive. They were very careful to explain and ask for my opinion to even the slightest modification. They took care of the vehicle while it was in their hands. Promised work completion times were well kept. A headunit change, all factory speaker replacement, wiring change, multichannel amplifier, and a high quality sub-woofer. The change in sound is amazing. I can't believe I've waited this long for my other vehicles. I have had 2 stereos installed in 2 different cars here. Both times I was very happy with the results. The second one I asked about replacing the speakers as they were older factory ones. They asked me what kind of music I listen to and how important heavy base is to me. They talked me out of getting the speakers replaced as the factory ones were still in good shape and the Kenwood stereo I had installed would make an immediate improvement in sound. They suggested that I try just the stereo and see how I felt about the sound. If I then wanted to go ahead and replace the speaker I could. I was very happy with the sound without paying for new speakers and thrilled that they had suggested I wait on the speakers. They could have just sold me speakers! I've had nothing but good experiences with Armando Sounds so far. I recently got a used car and wanted to upgrade the head unit and install a backup camera. I purchased everything that I thought I needed (Crutchfield was helpful) and then called around to get installation quotes - Armando Sounds was extremely competitive for pricing and cheaper than the other well reviewed places on Yelp. I spoke with Leo and he was willing to meet me early on a Friday morning before the shop opened to drop off my car so I could get to work on time. I was able to come back that night and pick up the car. Turns out I didn't have everything I needed - I was missing a small adapter cable that they didn't have in house. Also the backup camera I chose was a license plate frame and it covered up the latch on my lift gate so I couldn't actually open the back of my car - huge problem. This is where Armando Sounds really came through for me. They made some recommendations on the type of camera I should get and helped me find the right adapter cable needed to complete my installation. I went out and ordered the parts and brought the car back the following week. They opened everything back up and finalized the install (and replaced the backup camera) for no extra charge. Leo and Mohammed are great guys and incredibly honest people. I'm planning on bringing my vehicle back for any future work. Highly recommended. I have actually gotten 2 Viper systems from this spot...the first I got right before the winter. I waited while they installed it on my car. I had shopped around and their price was very reasonable for the system I wanted. It took less time then they gave me an estimate of and the system worked well. They told me i had a lifetime warranty and it could be used on different cars. I was happy! Well unfortunately 1 week later I got in a car accident and my car was totaled. My car was not driveable so I could not recover my system. I came back to get the same system installed on my new car and my wait time was even shorter than before. My review is work that I have had done over a couple month period as I obtained money for individual upgrades. I will probably ramble in this review but I want to emphasize both how much of a pain in the ass I was checking and double checking everything and how professional Armando staff was. I had found Armando Sounds when shopping around for pricing and quotes on a new sound system. The three places I had gone to to physically talk with someone were Armando, Showtime Audio and Soundz Good. I had initially visited all three locations with a small budget wanting to get a basic head unit install without getting ripped off or lead astray and a general idea of different sound systems I could look at for a budget of $1500. Showtime Audio was professional and direct, but were unable to fulfill my needs. I felt that they wanted to push me tword buying more expensive equipment and did not grasp that all I really wanted was a better listening experience on my daily commute and not to shake the cars next to me. The end quote for speakers/sub/face unit/amp was well over $2500. I know they cater to celebrities and much wealthier people than myself but it seamed they did not have any decent mid range equipment for a general user. Soundz Good I would stay away from. I had set up an appointment to come speak to someone, they told me to come in half an hour before they closed and treated me like I was a pain to deal with. It was obvious they did not want to help me nor did they return any of my two follow up calls for price comparison. Armando Sound is a bit farther from where I live than the other two but is on one of the routs I take home and is open the latest. I had gone in about 30 minutes before they closed and talked to Moe (turns out he is the owner.) He spent 40 minutes talking to me, showing me different models of face units within my budget from $150 up to the android play models at $500 and taking the time to tell me pros and cons of each. He was able to answer all the questions I threw at him and did not try to push me tword a more expensive model. For my needs he recommended the Kenwood Excelon DPX592BT which was on the less expensive side but fit all my needs from Bluetooth to hands free calls. He took the time to explane how amps would affect the sound of my car and how I may or may not need them depending on my end goal but going over how any car can benefit. He ended up giving me a quote for all parts and the total for install and parts +wiring kit (steering wheel control) etc was about $300. I price compared via crutch field and sonic boom and the pricing for the wiring kit and head unit came to around $200 before tax on both sites. I ended up going with it and he priced me $300 on the dot as he had said, no hidden tax or anything. His statement was when he said out the door he meant it and sticks with it. Since then I have gone back multiple times to speak about car speakers/sub/amp and they have always dealt with my questions and phone calls. I had gone 4 days in a row after work to talk to them before setteling on JL Audio speakers for both the front and backs, questioned them about everything and ground them on prices. I had priced out a whole setup including wires, sub, amp, speakers with multiple crutchfield technicians and the full price was always around $1600+ Armando has recommended an amp that covers my needs that costs $120 less even though they carried the exact amp that crutchfield recommended knowing I would have probably bought it without too much acquirement. Its a great little kicker that fits perfectly under my seat where as the other would have extended. The best part was even though I would have saved $120 they actually gave me a call the 4th of july weekend and informed me the amp they recommended was on sale. Instead of spending the $600+ for massive Jl amp I was able to pick up the kicker for $350 ish. I do not remember what they charged for install but i had called Showtime audio and they wanted to charge me around $300, Armando did it for around $200 or less, I think they gave me a discount for working with them. The only time they ever tried to get me to spend more was upgrading my selection of sub woofer from an Audison Prima box to a Kicker Cube and boy was it worth it. Let me specify I needed a small sub woofer as I work IT and need as much trunk space as I can to move equipment. This was something I was strict on I needed something small but powerful which could be removed if needed. They were able to fill both of these needs. I ended $200 under my build and plan to order weather tech floor covers for my Scion Xb through them. I don't write a lot of reviews and generally Hate writing in general but I just had to give a shout out to this place. I plan to take my moms car here for an early birthday present and recommend even if you are on the fence to come in and spend 10 minutes talking to these guys. read more

After all said was done I got my lights installed very professionally and at a reasonable price. After they were installed I ran into a problem (Ford issue) that seemed to be caused by disconnecting the battery but after a call to them and bringing my car back in to them they were able to help me resolve it which I appreciate!
