Chicken Jalfrezi
Yoko R.

I was in the mood for some Indian food. I ordered the chicken jalfrezi and it was pretty tasty. I ordered delivery through GrubHub. The food arrived hot and well packaged in saran wrap and the bag was stapled shut. The chicken was nice and tender, the vegetables were not overcooked and still had a little crunch to them for texture. and the flavor was decent. I chose for it to be mild and I really should have went with medium (because it was not spicy at all- I do like a little spice). The portion was large and I did not finish eating it in one sitting. The price is also reasonable when compared to other Indian food spots and the flavor satisfied my craving for Indian food. I've previously ordered their chicken tikka masala, and that was also good.

Everything was delicious! So surprised by the authentic Indian cuisine. You will not be disappointed !!

I was originally going to order from papa johns, but as I sat in my vehicle in front of the store, I decided to be a new customer of Arlon's and support the local independent business. WHAT A MISTAKE! I just had the worst pizza ever in all my years. When I opened the box, all the cheese had slid to the middle and cooled off which made it stick like glue to the cardboard. Eating a little cardboard never hurt anyone! Live n Learn. Papa Johns next time.

Perfect cheese steak arrived warm and toasty. Really good bread and condiments. Gracious delivery.

Very convenient for delivery considering I live in Mt Washington. They have the best salads and Pizza. Wings was fried hard like I like them. The only PROBLEM I have is don't tell me over the phone you will substitute an item for me but won't tell me you'll charge me more. On the phone they said 22.89 but when they delivered it was 26.89. So to prove a point I told them I didn't want it bc I was giving the driver a tip but they took what I had.

This salad is so fresh I had to check to make sure it didn't come straight out the garden... lol.. .so delicious

I was skeptical about ordering at first, simply because some of the reviews were negative when referring to the delivery time. I must say I was surprised. This place isn't close to where I live and my food was here within 30 mins. I have carry-out places that are closer and take an hour. So, I do appreciate the timely manner. I ordered the Chef Salad for myself and the "its's so cool" wrap for my son. I love how the salad was separated. I know most people don't care to have their salad that way, but I enjoy putting my salad together myself. The salad was very fresh, and OMG they give you a second dressing For Free. Now, anyone who orders a salad knows you only get one damn dressing.. The wrap was super fresh and my son said it was really well seasoned. I would definitely order again.

Awesome pizza! Full sized wings were perfectly fried and crispy and the breaded mushrooms were so hot had to wait to eat em! YUM!!

So dirty in the front I can only imagine how filthy it is in the kitchen. No prices on the menu board. I think they charge what they want.

Make sure to make a reservation. Weekend reservations are impossible. On a weekday, we were able to book same day. Top notch service. Accepts credit card. Their menu changes. We showed up for a reservation but had to wait. The staff was nice and gave us a complimentary charcuterie board. Tavern board (charcuterie board) - was really good. Nice spread of salami and cheese. It's a nice precursor to the main meal Roasted oysters- tasted fresh. There's extra condiments on top, I thought was excessive Oyster pie- pretty interesting. Oyster was fresh, the crust of pie was good. I would skip next time Hog neck clams-really good. Tasted fresh. The real winner was the sauce. The complimentary bread was used to soak up the sauce. The sauce was so so good. I would get this again for the sauce. Fish and chips- cooked very well. Great presentation. Scallops - were exquisite and cooked perfectly. My friend who had this dish raved about how good it was.

We've been here for casual date nights, Valentine's dinner, and the last time we came was for our friends renewing their vows after 10 years of marriage. That alone says a lot about the kind of place it is. It fits both everyday moments and really meaningful ones. What stands out first is the atmosphere. There's a warmth to the space that makes it feel inviting right away. It has a rustic, polished look with a lot of character, but it never feels stiff or overly formal. It's the kind of place where you can tell thought was put into every detail, but it still feels comfortable enough to settle in and enjoy yourself. For me, the experience starts before the food even hits the table. The space has a calm, intentional energy to it. It's perfect for slowing things down and actually enjoying your time, especially with someone you care about. The food is where it really separates itself. Everything feels carefully prepared and well thought out. You can tell they care about ingredients, and that always comes through in the flavor. Nothing feels thrown together or generic. The menu itself gets you excited before you even order, and the food lives up to it. What I appreciate most is that it doesn't just feel like a place serving food, it feels like a place creating an experience. The dishes have personality. There's intention behind them. It's not about being flashy, it's about doing things right. The service adds to that as well. Every time we've gone, the staff has been friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without hovering. It makes the whole experience feel smooth and relaxed. Another thing I like is that it feels distinctly Baltimore without feeling ordinary. It has a real identity to it, and that makes it memorable. My wife and I keep coming back because it feels like time well spent. Good food, great atmosphere, and the kind of place that actually stays with you after you leave. Overall, this is easily one of the more memorable dining experiences in Baltimore. Definitely worth it if you're looking for something that feels meaningful, not just another night out.

What really stood out to me was the service. We had reservations at 1:45, and since they close at 2:00, I was a little nervous about the timing. But they welcomed us without any hesitation, and we later found out the kitchen stays open until 2:30. That level of hospitality made the experience even better. The menu is expansive and has an options for everyone, but the food was just......ok. Nothing stood out to me. The presentation of everything is beautiful, but the flavors were just lacking. I also tried the Mezcal cocktail that had egg white on top and it was just a very odd odor and the flavor profile was far too bitter. I typically love mezcal but this drink was terrible. I will say that the service was pleasant. My server was very kind, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Of all the things we ordered, including a pizza, burrata salad, meatball appetizer, s'mores Panna cotta, pasta, and a side of broccoli.... I'd say the best thing was the broccoli. And it was mid. I can't even point to what the exact issue is. Lack of seasoning I guess. Ceces has the location, the look, the presentation, the menu; they have everything except good food. I was so excited to try this place but left incredibly disappointed.

However, if you cannot tolerate the smell of smoke or have an upper respiratory condition such as asthma or bronchitis, I strongly advise against going. I did enjoy the concept of the space. Each group has its own private pod equipped with a television, overhead speakers, mood lighting, and comfortable seating, allowing you to have your own relaxed kickback-style gathering. The food available for purchase was good, though when I visited the menu was limited, and they had run out of dessert. That was disappointing; however, the owner was kind enough to comp us for the missing dessert, which I appreciated. Be aware that the atmosphere can get a bit rowdy, depending on the guests in nearby pods. There is also a BYOB option, which my group and I fully took advantage of. Unfortunately, I left smelling heavily of smoke in my hair, clothes, and even my purse absorbed the odor. I would recommend improved ventilation or the use of air purifiers or humidifiers in the rooms. I will not be returning.

The host/hostess area is dark and not clearly identifiable. The staff and owner are very nice. The owner directed the server to take us to a private room, since we were first time patrons, but failed to mention the upcharge, which was significant. It was a holiday, so the menu was pre-set with a flat charge. We had to ask, no one volunteered the pricing, it wasn't indicated on the special menu. The service was extremely slow, even for a holiday. We waited excessively for everything. It took more than a half hour for our dinner order to be taken, after we consumed our appetizer/salad. No check-in, no refill ask , but it was a holiday, so... But they were all very nice and courteous. The private room concept was awesome. I was planning to return with a larger party. There is a TV and music in the rooms, temperature controlled. Really nice concept. I would have let everything go and still returned to the facility, but for the failure to inform of the $100 upcharge, which the hostess did discount down to $50, because she "knew they didn't mention it" beforehand. It had happened before. Im really salty about that. That is a failure on the owner. My other safety concern is that the entrance should be better monitored/staff attended when patrons are in private rooms with limited to of line of sight to the entrance or open area.

Brunch at Elliott's Craft Kitchen: A Promising Start With a Few Missed Beats…read more.. I recently visited Elliott's Craft Kitchen a fairly new spot that my group of four decided to try out for brunch. We were hoping for a fresh experience, but our visit turned out to be a mixed bag. Ambiance and First Impressions... When we arrived, the restaurant was surprisingly empty, which was a bit of a head-scratcher for brunch time. Even though we could hear staff chatting in the back, it took a good five to eight minutes before anyone came out to seat us. Once we were seated, we noticed the lighting was so dim that we actually had to whip out our phones just to read the menu. Not exactly the cozy brunch vibe we were hoping for. The Food: Hits and Misses... On to the food. We started with the cream of crab soup, which was just okay--nothing to write home about. The Brussels sprouts were a bit of a letdown. They were tiny and mostly just fried leaves rather than the hearty sprouts we expected. So if you're imagining those classic roasted Brussels sprouts, this wasn't it. The chicken and waffles were decent in flavor, although the presentation could have used some polish. The pita bread for the crab dip could have been toasted or something more firm and doesn't taste like it was immediately pulled from a bag. Surprisingly, the star of the meal ended up being something as simple as the French fries. They were really tasty and stood out more than some of the fancier dishes. Service and the Final Stretch... Our server was kind and polite, which we appreciated. But the big hiccup came at the end. Their payment system went down, and we ended up waiting over 30 minutes just to settle the bill. After sitting for about 15 minutes we informed our server that we would like to wait in the lounge area to get more comfortable as I understand.... things happen. Although while we waited for about 20 minutes there were no offers of water or anything to make the wait less awkward (not to mention asking for payment without even presenting a bill). It felt like they were more focused on turning the table than making sure we were okay during the delay. Although maybe it was an awkward start to the morning. I will say our server did her best to work things out with the technology she was given. So, I still provided her a fair tip, not her fault. Value for Money... In terms of pricing, it felt pretty average overall, but there were a few eyebrow-raisers. For instance, the avocado toasted croissant--topped with over-easy eggs, baby spinach, and Grana Padano--was $19, which felt a bit steep for what it was. In comparison, a pork schnitzel dish was around $21. So, while the pricing wasn't outrageous, some items definitely made me pause and question the value. Overall Thoughts... In the end, my experience at Elliott's Craft Kitchen was a bit of a letdown. So I'm surprised by some of the reviews (maybe because it was not dinner). While there were a few highlights (like the fries and a well-made Old Fashioned), the service hiccups and the underwhelming dishes mean I'd probably think twice before going back. Definitely not for brunch but I would really consider Dinner after some more reviews. Hopefully they'll iron out the kinks as they get more established.

The area near the front window almost feels like a private table. It was definitely giving a great vibe. We checked the menu prior to picking this place and they had EXACTLY what I wanted. I had a big ole brunch of their Grand Marnier Strawberry French Toast which was a three stack of THICCCCC cut Texas bread. It was better than I hoped for! And I brought at least half of it home, because ole greedy butt over here also got the platter with the home fries (I asked for onions and got this caramelized onion topping that was almost a jam. Yummm), the bacon and the eggs your way (scrambled with cheese). My companion had this big ole omelette with a lot of veggies and shared my french toast. The sauce they served with the home fries was sooooo good - it was almost like Heinz 57 sauce but with less of a vinegary bite. The jam that came for my English Muffin was delicious and praise GOD they served butter that wasn't ice cold and unspreadable so yeah hella points for that.
