Pepe's is a staple from my childhood that I am so happy is still in business today! The menu has classic subs and breakfast platters that are all homestyle and satisfying. My boyfriend and I ordered the shrimp salad sub, a cheesesteak, and we split the pizza fries. The shrimp salad is hands down the best in Baltimore, and I love shrimp salad! You can order it as a sandwich or sub, but the sub give you a TON of shrimp salad. It's not too mayonnaise-y and has nice crispy celery. Pro tip: ask for the sub on the side so it doesn't soak through your sub for takeout! The cheesesteak is a classic and everything is perfectly cooked. My boyfriend added mushrooms to his and noted they were plentiful and tasty. The pizza fries are a Pepe's classic- fries smothered in pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese, then baked. I don't know anywhere else you can get these! They're a nice treat, give them a try! Overall, Pepe's is a no frills eatery with lots of options for the whole family!

We got take out lunch from here. Shrimp basket was uneventful - frozen shrimp, mostly breading, etc. Pepperoni pizza with extra cheese was pretty tasty. Plenty of cheese! The bill was staggering. $42 for the above. 12.99 pizza with $4 per topping choice.

My office placed a lunch order yesterday, they raved about breakfast but so many choices I missed the cut off time. So lunch it was! I choose the shrimp salad with lettuce tomatoes on a Kaiser roll. The shrimp salad was simply amazing!!! Shrimp were large and steamed to perfection, the dressing had just enough kick and crunch without being overbearing with Old Bay seasoning. The Kaiser roll was a bit smashed, guess from tight wrap to keep all the shrimp on the bun? I also ordered ranch fries, they were plentiful but because of the different sizes of the cut the larger pieces were a little under cooked! All on all good lunch I did split my sandwich for lunch and dinner! Not the best pic-was eating on my laptop!!! Breakfast review soon!

Solid food options. Service is friendly, although more "help yourself". Ambiance is pizza joint.

Make sure to make a reservation. Weekend reservations are impossible. On a weekday, we were able to book same day. Top notch service. Accepts credit card. Their menu changes. We showed up for a reservation but had to wait. The staff was nice and gave us a complimentary charcuterie board. Tavern board (charcuterie board) - was really good. Nice spread of salami and cheese. It's a nice precursor to the main meal Roasted oysters- tasted fresh. There's extra condiments on top, I thought was excessive Oyster pie- pretty interesting. Oyster was fresh, the crust of pie was good. I would skip next time Hog neck clams-really good. Tasted fresh. The real winner was the sauce. The complimentary bread was used to soak up the sauce. The sauce was so so good. I would get this again for the sauce. Fish and chips- cooked very well. Great presentation. Scallops - were exquisite and cooked perfectly. My friend who had this dish raved about how good it was.

We've been here for casual date nights, Valentine's dinner, and the last time we came was for our friends renewing their vows after 10 years of marriage. That alone says a lot about the kind of place it is. It fits both everyday moments and really meaningful ones. What stands out first is the atmosphere. There's a warmth to the space that makes it feel inviting right away. It has a rustic, polished look with a lot of character, but it never feels stiff or overly formal. It's the kind of place where you can tell thought was put into every detail, but it still feels comfortable enough to settle in and enjoy yourself. For me, the experience starts before the food even hits the table. The space has a calm, intentional energy to it. It's perfect for slowing things down and actually enjoying your time, especially with someone you care about. The food is where it really separates itself. Everything feels carefully prepared and well thought out. You can tell they care about ingredients, and that always comes through in the flavor. Nothing feels thrown together or generic. The menu itself gets you excited before you even order, and the food lives up to it. What I appreciate most is that it doesn't just feel like a place serving food, it feels like a place creating an experience. The dishes have personality. There's intention behind them. It's not about being flashy, it's about doing things right. The service adds to that as well. Every time we've gone, the staff has been friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without hovering. It makes the whole experience feel smooth and relaxed. Another thing I like is that it feels distinctly Baltimore without feeling ordinary. It has a real identity to it, and that makes it memorable. My wife and I keep coming back because it feels like time well spent. Good food, great atmosphere, and the kind of place that actually stays with you after you leave. Overall, this is easily one of the more memorable dining experiences in Baltimore. Definitely worth it if you're looking for something that feels meaningful, not just another night out.

I was enjoying time with my cousins who were visiting from out of town, and one of them made the reservations for us. I'm so glad she did because this place was truly a great choice. I ordered the omelet and a waffle, and both were amazing. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. What really stood out to me was the service. We had reservations at 1:45, and since they close at 2:00, I was a little nervous about the timing. But they welcomed us without any hesitation, and we later found out the kitchen stays open until 2:30. That level of hospitality made the experience even better. The menu is expansive and has an options for everyone, but the food was just......ok. Nothing stood out to me. The presentation of everything is beautiful, but the flavors were just lacking. I also tried the Mezcal cocktail that had egg white on top and it was just a very odd odor and the flavor profile was far too bitter. I typically love mezcal but this drink was terrible. I will say that the service was pleasant. My server was very kind, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Of all the things we ordered, including a pizza, burrata salad, meatball appetizer, s'mores Panna cotta, pasta, and a side of broccoli.... I'd say the best thing was the broccoli. And it was mid. I can't even point to what the exact issue is. Lack of seasoning I guess. Ceces has the location, the look, the presentation, the menu; they have everything except good food. I was so excited to try this place but left incredibly disappointed.
